Atticus stood in the door frame, a smile spread widely across his face, "hey Rose, long time no see."

Rose stood there in shock for a moment, before remembering Ethan and Benny were there too. "Come in" she motioned for him to step inside, "I have some people I want you to meet." He walked inside and stood across from Benny and Ethan.

Benny hadn't thought this night could get any weirder but he was wrong, he looked at the guy standing in front of him and was reminded of when he knocked him out last year. He had been trying to go on a date with Rose and Benny had been jealous? Worried? At any rate he had knocked the guy out and posed as him for the date with Rose. He remembered how angry she had been when he figured it out. It really was unnerving how much this guy looked like him, the face was basically an exact copy of his. The only difference Benny could notice was that Atticus was about an inch taller than him, his hair was a little more kempt, and he was a little more muscular.

Rose felt a little awkward about this situation, she had been talking to Atticus on and off for the last year. In a platonic way of course but him showing up here without warning, while she was with Benny made her feel like she was doing something wrong. "Atticus" she gestured to him, "I would like you to meet my two best friends, Benny and Ethan." They all awkwardly shook hands before Rose looked at Atticus again, "what are you doing here in Whitechapel? Not that I mind, I'm happy to see you, just surprised that's all."

Atticus chuckled and ran a hand through his messy hair nervously "well we are shooting some scenes for that new movie I'm in over at a camp the next town over. I figured since I was finally this close to you, I would stop by and see you."

Rose blushed a little, this made Benny feel a twist in his stomach, he was about to say something when Ethan interrupted "a film?"

Rose blinked before face palming herself, she had forgotten to tell them "I forgot to tell you guys, but Atticus is an actor, he plays in some TV shows and movies."

Of course he's an actor, he's an actor, he plays in a band, is he mister perfect or something Benny thought to himself.

"Anything we might have seen?" Ethan asked curiously.

Atticus chuckled "maybe I've recently been in a pretty popular tv show about vampires but I think most of the audience for that was teenage girls. I am currently filming a camp movie right now though, I'm playing a guitarist in a band."

Rose smiled at him before remembering "oh Atticus would you like to stay for dinner? I'm making pasta."

"That sounds great! Are you friends going to join us?" he turned to Benny and Ethan smiling.

Before either of them could reply, Rose spoke up "Ethan had to go watch his sister and Benny, Benny has to get ready for his date, so it will just be the two of us."

Benny wanted to say something, why did she have this idea he was going on a date? He didn't have a date and he wanted to stay for dinner, especially because he didn't want to leave the two of them alone. He opened his mouth and shut it again after noticing the way Rose was looking at Atticus. His chest hurt, he knew he should leave, he was still under the truth potion after all and he didn't want to say something he couldn't take back. Benny and Ethan grabbed their things and said goodbye before walking outside and leaving Rose and Atticus alone.

The next morning Rose woke up in a much more cheerful mood, she quickly got dressed and made her way over to her bedroom window. She saw Benny pulling his shirt on in his room before turning to see her looking at him through the window and coming over to open his. "Good morning beautiful" he said in his normal charming and flirty voice, "you seem in a good mood."

"Good morning hot stuff" Rose joked back, not hiding the grin on her face, "I am in a good mood today but we can talk about that on the way to school. You ready?"

"Yeah" Benny got a twist in his stomach again remembering that Rose had dinner with Atticus last night. She was in such a good mood today, it must have gone well, he was secretly disappointed that it had. "I'll meet you downstairs in 30 seconds okay?"

Rose raced downstairs and out the door, just barely beating Benny to the normal meet up place on the sidewalk between their houses. "You look nice today," Benny said looking her up and down, noticing the white and blue flowered dress she was wearing. "You know you don't have to dress nice to come watch us compete in chess."

Rose's heart sank, she had completely forgotten that Benny and Ethan had a chess competition after school that she was supposed to come to. She had already agreed to go out with Atticus tonight to watch his band perform. She saw the look on Benny's face, she took his arm in his as she started marching them toward school "what if I just want to dress nicely for it."

Benny was a little taken aback when she grabbed his arm but he wasn't complaining. He was sure that she was going to tell him that she had forgotten about the competition and that she was dressed that way because she was going out with that Atticus guy instead. "That's fine but I am pretty sure once the guys there get a look at you, they are going to not be able to focus on chess."

Rose bumped his shoulder playfully "well I guess that just means you will be winning the competition, I will be your good luck charm." She still wasn't sure what she was going to do, she couldn't be in two places at once, or could she?

She thought long and hard about it, the only experience she had with creating a body double was when Ethan and Benny accidentally had a camera that would create an evil copy of whoever they took a photo of. She shook off the thought of evil Benny, that was definitely a mistake she didn't want to make. It was lunch time and she still wasn't sure what to do, unlike Benny and Ethan she didn't want to try magic, that she wasn't sure was safe. She opened her phone and made a call, Benny's grandma answered on the first ring "hey it's Rose, are you home? Would you mind if I dropped by really quickly? I need some advice."

"Sure dear, come on over."

Rose grabbed her stuff and started to leave, passing by Benny and Ethan who were just grabbing their food and planning to sit down. "I have something I need to take care of really fast, I'll see you in class."

When she arrived at Benny's house, his grandma opened the door before she had a chance to knock. She beckoned her to come inside and started making some tea, "so what is so important you need to talk to me about it in the middle of a school day."

Rose bit her lip "I messed up, I promised Benny I would go to his chess competition but a friend showed up yesterday and I agreed to hangout with him tonight. I completely forgot about Benny's competition. I know I need to choose, I can't be in two places at once but-"

"Oh but you can, at least for a little while" his grandma smirked deviously. "There is a spell for that, it creates an exact copy of you, you share memories, feelings, everything. The spell only lasts about 5 hours and once it's over, you will have all the memories of the clone as well as yours."

Rose swallowed the tea, enjoying how the warm liquid felt "what's the catch?"

Benny's grandma laughed "there is no catch, despite how it might seem whenever my grandson uses magic, not everything has a downside. Just use it wisely, and try not to make it a habit of double booking yourself. By the end you'll feel twice as tired."

Rose nodded and Benny's grandma went over how to perform the spell with her. Once she was sure she had it down, she thanked her and ran off to get back to school before her class started. The rest of the day went by normally, Rose was feeling more light than before now that she had a plan. She promised herself this would be a one time thing and that she would be extra careful in the future not to get herself into this situation again. After her last class, she told Benny and Ethan she was going to run to the bathroom before they went to the chess competition. Once she was sure she was alone, she repeated the words, Benny's grandmother and told her. She opened her eyes and in front of her was her, an exact copy of her. They spoke to each other for a moment, it was really weird talking to yourself like this, one of them would go to the chess competition and one would meet up with Atticus. They both agreed to do their respective events before the 5 hours time limit was up. That way they wouldn't have to explain why one of them just vanished.

Rose peaked her head out of the bathroom and noticed the coast was clear, they parted ways before she ran off to meet up with Benny and Ethan.

"What took you so long?" Benny asked, leaning against a locker.

Rose rolled her eyes and grabbed both their arms in each of hers, so that she was in the middle of them, and it looked like they were escorting her. "Let's get to that chess competition" she started walking "I'm ready to see my boys win." The competition was more boring than she thought it would be, but she was the only person there that wasn't participating. She was the only girl there as well, and like Benny predicted the guys could not stop looking at her. She was starting to question why she agreed to come to this when Benny would glance at her and smile. She smiled back and realized that she didn't want to be anywhere else than right here supporting them.

Benny and Ethan both won their rounds, before Benny ended up beating Ethan in the last round. After it was over Ethan had wished them a goodnight and Benny and Rose walked back home. Benny stopped in front of her door "thank you for coming tonight" he smiled at her "I know it wasn't super fun but I appreciate it."

"Of course"

"I'm not going to lie when I saw how you were dressed this morning, I thought you had forgotten about the competition. I thought you were going out with that Atticus guy instead."

Rose felt like she had been punched in the gut, she was terrible, "I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see you kick chess geek butt." She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, "good night Benny, I'll see you in the morning."

Once she was in her room, she groaned feeling horrible, all of a sudden she felt a rush come over her and she was flooded with new memories. Memories of watching Atticus' band playing, laughing and having a good time with him, before telling him goodnight and running away. I guess the spell is over. She had to admit spending time with Atticus tonight had been a lot of fun too. She laid in bed and closed her eyes, this was a one time thing, she promised herself. No one would find out and she wouldn't do it again.

The next day at school was normal, well as normal as it gets in Whitechapel when Erica ran up to her grinning. "You went out with the hottest actor last night and didn't even invite me" she huffed.

Rose's blood ran cold "what are you talking about?"

Erica rolled her eyes "don't play dumb it's all over the news" she shoved her phone in front of her so she could see the news headline "Actor and musician Atticus Dean spotted with local Whitechapel girl last night" she read out loud. She scrolled down to a picture of Atticus smiling this arm around Rose as they talked to some of his bandmates.

Rose looked around and noticed people looking at her and whispering "does everyone know?"

"Most of the school knows but I'm sure by the end of the day everyone will know"

"I need to find Benny"
