(Going to apologize in advance, I feel like this is a sucky chapter. I been in and out of doctors office, and extremely under the weather with constant headaches. So, I decided to show the power of his roses.)
2 Weeks Later
"Rei are you alright?" I hear Lilith ask me as I stare at my phone, the unanswered messages I sent to both Mako and Ryo since my duel with the Skeleton Knight two weeks ago, "Rei!" she yells out catching my attention, I look over to her, "is everything alright?" she asks me again.
I clench the phone in my hand, along with my jaw. "No! I'm not!" I yell out throwing my phone to the floor, missing Lilith flinch, "Ryo and Mako, neither of them have answered any of my messages since they left for America, and that was almost three weeks ago!" I fuss starting to pace the room that I share with Yusei. "I know we haven't been friends for long, but..." I stop passing, before storming out of the room and the house.
3rd Person POV
Yusei walks into the room, "Uh… what did I miss?" he asks Lilith, who is just staring out the doorway. "Lilith?" he questions, before looking down and seeing Rei's phone, "Oh, they still haven't answered."
"I have never seen Rei get so angry, and I have been watching him for many years," she tells the boy. "Even with his parents dea-" She quickly covers her mouth with her hand.
Giving the girl a look, "I still don't understand something," he tells her, and her eyes widen in horror. "No! Not that! When Reign is comfortable telling me what happened, that is when I will find out, not a second before," Lilith's eyes widen again, only with a different emotion, before she giggles at the nickname. "I understand that you are his ancestor, and that is why he can see you. But… why am I able to see you, but no one else can?"
She tilts her head, "I honestly do not know, after we explained everything to you after Rei's duel with the Skeleton Knight. We discussed it, but we could not find any concrete evidence," she explains. "Now why do you call him Reign, is a nickname not suppose to be shortened?"
Yusei smirks, "Well he is the reigning King of his academy and he technically the only reigning Duel Priest alive," Yusei tells her, "Plus he hates it," making both of them laugh.
Lilith looks across the room, and stares at the alarm clock sitting on the bookshelf, "We should hive him an hour or two, just to calm down," Yusei tells her, "He might not have said anything. But..." he grabs Rei's phone looking at all the unanswered messaged, before locking it. "The silence has been really starting to bother him," he explains, gaining a nod.
When he turns to leave, Lilith looks down at her hands. "He was never close to many people after…" she drawls off, and Yusei turns to look back at her, "When he transferred to Academy of the Kings and met Mako and Ryo they took him under their wing… but they didn't know about his Psychic abilities he was terrified that they'd view him like many others did," she gets off the bed walking past the black-haired boy, "You are one of the first to accept him as he is, and I can't thank you enough for doing so."
An hour passes with neither of them speaking to each other, the information of Rei's fears hanging between the two when screams rip through the silence. "Wha… What was that!?" Lilith calls out, following Yusei as he runs to the door.
"Queen of Rose, end this duel! Trimmer Rose!" Rei's command echoes through the darkening light, making the duo run faster, passing many unconscious gang members as they get closer.
"Maybe we shouldn't have given him that hour to calm down," Lilith voices, as they make it to the warehouse, that houses one of Satellite's biggest gangs. In the center of the room two people stand a duel between them just beginning, a bald man with Facility marks covering his body and Rei.
"That's Shino, he's the leader of the Hell Raiders," Yusei tells Lilith, a strong gust of wind blow between the two duelist, "This is going to be a slaughter," he voices, and Lilith nods in agreement.
Rei's POV

"I draw!" Shino declares, "I activate the Spell Card, Cost Down! By discarding a card from my hand, I can reduce the Level of all monsters in my hand by 2." I watch as he discard a Summoned Skull, 'He's up to something, that monster should be the one he tries to summon. Not the one he discards."

"Since I did that, I call forth Summoned Skull!" He commands, making my eyes narrow.

A fiend with dark powers for confusing the enemy. Among the Fiend-Type monster, this monster boasts considerable force.

"Now I activate another Spell Card, Monster Reborn! I can Special Summon a monster from either of our Graveyards, and look at this, I got another Summoned Skull!" He chuckles, 'Of course he is cheating… but he is running of out of cards in his hand,' I tell myself looking at my own, before I smirk.

"He's cheating!" I hear Lilith's voice yell out, making me look that way, seeing both Yusei and her watching the duel.
Yusei smiles at me, "You got this Reign," he smirks, making me roll my eyes at the annoying nickname, "Show this cheater what a King can do."
"Me? Cheating? I would never… but if I did, I would also have-" Shino starts to say before he grins, "Oh wait I do have it, I activate Meteor of Destruction, since you have more than 3000 Life Points, you take 1000 damage!"

As the giant meteor flies to me I smirk, "You just guaranteed my win on my turn, by discarding Rose Spirit, any damage I would take from a card effect is negated..." I tell him, "and that damage is dealt to you instead," I smile, as the meteor flies back hitting the man in the chest, knocking him to the ground.

He pushes himself back to his feet, "I still have 3000 Life Points left, and this card will make sure you can't get to them, I activate the Equip Spell, Axe of Despair, and give my left Summoned Skull a 1000 point attack boast!"

"Let's just say… that little girl he protected from them officers, gave him a card," Yusei tells her.
"Try to take on this field, it's your turn!" He yells out, 'showed all his cards to early.'

"My draw, but the card will not be needed," I tell him. "First by banishing a Plant monster from my Graveyard," I say. "I can activate a brand new Equip Spell! Mark of the Rose! This card allows me to target 1 of your face-up monsters and take control of it during my turn."

"Wha… what! No I want a redo!" Shino yells out, "This isn't fair."
I roll my eyes, "This coming from the cheater! Now your Summoned Skull with the Axe of Despair, has left your side and been cursed to follow my command! A marking appears on the chest of his Summoned Skull before it appears on my side. "Now I call Rose Witch to my side!"

This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a Plant monster.
"Even if you did attack, I would still have 400 Life Points left, and..." he looks at his empty hand, "My hand is empty."
"Yeah! That's what you get cheat!" I hear Lilith yell out, as Yusei shakes his head at her antics. "Kick his butt Rei!"
"You're right, but again… like you I have something else I can do," I tell him, "I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon… this will allow me to Normal Summon 1 more monster."

"Summoned Skull, it's time to go full traitor and destroy your brethren!" I command, watching as the cheater's field empties completely, except for the Axe of Despair that is powering up my monster.

"No! I'm the ruler of Satellite! This is my town!" Shino yells out running towards me, only for Yusei to come from behind me and kneeing the man in the stomach, knocking him to the ground.
The purple roses start to spin around me, "It's always the same with people isn't it! Trying to rule because you are bigger or have more power over others…" I say feeling Lilith turmoil from her mistake, "I am through allowing this to happen, Rose Sorcerer, finish this insignificant fool! Roses of the Damned!" I command making the petals that were spinning around me to slam the man into the wall of the warehouse.
I stare at the dent of the wall where the man hit, "Rei, we need to leave," I hear Yusei tell me, not using that dumb nickname he gave me, before I feel someone grab my face, making me look up into Yusei's eyes. "We need to leave, Sector Security is going to be here and they would be happy to pin whatever they can on the two of use." I stare into his eyes feeling my face heat up again from the closeness.
"Guys! This is cute and all…" Lilith says breaking me from his gaze, as I hear sirens beginning to get closer, "They might not be able to see me, but they will defiantly see you two." I nod, and the three of us run out of the building.
Neo Domino City – Port – Midnight
"You… you monster!" a man's screams echo through the darkness, as a light traces a pattern illuminating four bodies laying in different parts point of the pentagon, and at the fifth point a tall man wearing black robes begins chanting.
As he finishes the bodies begin to move, and they rise up from the ground, "My brothers and sisters! Time has finally come once again, for us to begin out hunt!" the man announces, "You have been reborn in the bodies of these… wretched mortals to continue our service to the Ultimate God!"
A red haired woman skips around the area with a grin, "so dear brother… who will be our prey this time?" she questions, only for an image to appear in each of there faces, showing a smiling red-haired boy. "Mmm, now isn't he a looker… shame that we have to send him to hell." Her laughter echoes through the darkness, as the two boys laugh with her.
The leader slams down a cane making the laughter end, "Do not underestimate the boy Hilda, the Ultimate God he… he will not take failure from us again," the leader says, and the youngest three shiver with fear, while the blonde woman stares at the leader. "Back to the target. His name is Rei Izayoi..." and a sharp intake of breathe comes from Hilda.
"Izayoi is in?" the blonde questions, "the boy is the direct descendant of the last Duel Priestess?" the man nods, "So… the failure of a Priestess is now the one that most protect the world from our God?" the blonde laughs. "He will probably fail like his ancestor did 5000 year ago."
"I demand first blood!" Hilda declares, licking her teeth, showing two elongated canines, her declaration makes the other four look at her, "I want to see his face when I cast him into Hell!"
Two familiar faces laugh, "Hmm… who decided you get to duel him first?" the white-haired boy questions. "Brother? Didn't she lose to the last Duel Priestess of the Izayoi line?"
The black haired boy barks laughing at the statement, "I believe you are right brother," and he grins. "Maybe you should be a good girl and… leave the dueling to the four of us."
The blonde woman rolls her eyes, "Shut it!" she growls making the three young hunters flinch. He eyes dart to the twin boys, "How the two of you stay twins I will never know… but you will end this annoying chatter now!" Then her eyes land on the red head, and she grins, "You want to be the first to duel the newest Izayoi?" she asks and her eyes become deadly, the other girl nods, not daring to say a word.
She walks her way to the young girl grabbing her chin forcing direct eye contact, "You have until tomorrow night to bring us his Duel Dragon, if you do not make it back… well it's not a big loss if you ask me..." then she flicks her face away, "but if you do not find him… I'll send you back to Hell myself."
The leader watches the his four subordinates, "Hilda, as Camilla ordered you will have his Dragon by the end of tomorrow's night..." his eyes land on the twins, "Kenji and Kaguro, if she fails you will both take the boy down," he then eyes his second in command, "Camilla, if he still stands when it is us to left, I will trust in you to end him… and if you all fail," he throws his hood off showing the face of another familiar man, "I'll feed him to the Ultimate God myself." Missing the harsh glare from one of his underlings.
