Dino sat cross-legged on the couch, flipping through a parenting magazine he found lying around at Romario's desk earlier. It was random, but he thought it was funny how every page had smiling babies or toddlers. Hibari sat on the other side of the couch, reading a book with laser focus, entirely unbothered by Dino's random interests.
"Hey, Kyoya," Dino suddenly said, turning the page with exaggerated flair.
Hibari hummed in acknowledgment, not looking up from his book.
"Have you ever thought about what our kids would look like?" Dino asked with a mischievous grin, tossing the magazine onto the coffee table.
That caught Hibari's attention. He slowly lowered his book, narrowing his eyes. "What kind of question is that?"
Dino chuckled. "I mean, come on! Just imagine. Would they have my blond hair? Or your sharp glare? Maybe both?" He leaned closer, clearly amused by his own musings.
Hibari blinked at him, deadpan. "We don't have kids, and we won't. Why are you asking pointless things?"
Dino dramatically placed a hand over his chest. "Ouch, Kyoya! No need to crush my hypothetical dreams like that."
Hibari rolled his eyes, about to pick up his book again, when Dino nudged him with his foot. "Come on, Kyoya. Humor me for a second. Imagine it. What do you think?"
Hibari sighed, visibly annoyed, but after a moment of silence, he said, "Black hair. Brown eyes."
Dino froze, blinking in surprise. "Wait, you're actually answering?"
Hibari shot him a glare. "You asked."
Dino's grin grew wider. "Brown eyes, huh? So, they'd get your hair and my eyes? That's kind of cute."
"Mm," Hibari muttered, clearly regretting indulging Dino. But then he continued, almost as if thinking out loud, "They'd probably be quiet. Prefer to stay out of trouble."
Dino's jaw dropped. "Whoa, whoa, are you saying they wouldn't inherit my charming personality? Harsh, Kyoya."
Hibari ignored the teasing. "They'd hate loud places. And they wouldn't like being around too many people."
"Okay, so basically, you're describing a miniature version of you," Dino said, chuckling. "That's not fair. They should be half like me too!"
Hibari glanced at him, expression neutral. "I'd rather they be sensible."
Dino laughed, leaning back on the couch, completely entertained. "You're ruthless, Kyoya. But I gotta say, I wouldn't mind having kids like you. Quiet, strong, and no-nonsense. They'd probably keep me in line."
Hibari tilted his head slightly, considering that. "They'd probably have to."
Dino's laughter echoed through the room, and he reached out to ruffle Hibari's hair, earning a sharp swat in return.
"You're surprisingly good at imagining this," Dino teased. "Are you sure you haven't thought about it before?"
"Don't be stupid," Hibari snapped, but his cheeks were faintly pink.
Dino leaned closer, resting his chin on his hand as he grinned at Hibari. "Well, for what it's worth, if we ever did have kids, I think they'd be adorable. Just like you."
"Stop talking nonsense," Hibari muttered, grabbing his book again to hide his face.
Dino laughed, completely endeared. "Alright, alright. But seriously, Kyoya, I'm keeping this idea in mind. Just in case."
Hibari didn't answer, but Dino could see his ears turning red. Smiling to himself, he settled back into the couch, already planning more ways to tease him.
