Percy Jackson AND Harry Potter crossover book/chapter 1: the beginning
Percy Jackson jolted awake, his heart racing. He was surrounded by nothing but a blinding, all-encompassing white. No walls. No floor. Just... white. Confused and slightly disoriented, he rubbed his eyes. "What in the Hades…? Where am I? I thought I was dead—wait—what's going on?"
Suddenly, the white space around him began to shimmer, the faintest flicker of blue light dancing across the air. Before Percy could fully comprehend what was happening, the room exploded into a swirl of purple sparks, and from the dazzling light, a woman appeared, standing tall and poised as if she had always been there. Her eyes glimmered with ancient wisdom and power.
"Lady Hecate?" Percy's voice faltered slightly, though he tried to mask his surprise. His instinct was to bow, but he hesitated, uncertain. This wasn't the Underworld, not like he'd expected.
"Quite the greeting, Percy Jackson," Hecate said, her lips curling into a playful yet enigmatic smile. Her voice echoed with authority. "You did die, yes. But... death is hardly a simple thing, is it?"
Percy's brain scrambled for answers. "So… if I'm not dead, then where am I? And if I'm not dead, why do I feel like I'm being pulled into some sort of weird cosmic void?"
"Ah," she mused, her eyes twinkling with amusement, "you are in the Mist, the space between worlds. My domain. It exists outside time and place, but for you... it's a holding ground. The question is—what do you want now?"
Percy blinked, trying to keep his composure as his mind raced. "What do you mean? I thought... well, I thought I was dead. I was sure of it. I was ready to join the others in the Underworld."
Hecate raised a single eyebrow. "And yet, here you are. Alive in another form, another choice. The Underworld can wait, or perhaps it doesn't need to have you at all."
Percy's stomach twisted. "A choice? What do you mean by that? What's going on, Hecate?"
Hecate's expression softened as she conjured a table out of thin air, followed by two comfortable armchairs that seemed to invite him to sit. "I'm giving you an opportunity, Percy. A chance at a second life. You can choose to go to the Underworld and accept your fate, or... you can begin anew. I've created a world—a place outside of time—where you could be reborn. A world of magic."
Percy narrowed his eyes. "Magic? Like... a wizard or something?"
Hecate nodded, a flicker of something ancient and dangerous in her gaze. "Yes. You will be reborn into a world where you are needed. You will become part of something bigger than you ever imagined. A wizard in a place called Hogwarts, with a new name and a new identity. Your memories will remain, though your appearance and aura will be concealed. In time, when you've proven yourself, when the time is right, you will be able to reveal who you truly are. Throughout the journey of this new life I will be looking out for you and will teach you all about magic and everything you need to know for the world."
Percy's mind raced. "And... what about my friends? Can they come with me?"
Hecate's smile faltered for just a moment, her eyes narrowing. "You ask a great deal, demigod. They would have to chose to join without knowing what to expect too. It is not a simple task. But I am willing to entertain the idea, if you prove yourself worthy. You must be ready to walk a new path, and they, too, must be prepared to leave their old lives behind lest the time is right."
Percy's heart skipped a beat. "I can't leave them behind. Annabeth, Jason, Leo… they've all been through so much. I can't just..."
"I know you cannot, Percy," Hecate said softly, her voice strangely empathetic. "I understand the bonds that tie you together. But know this: The future of your world, the fate of both gods and wizards, may depend on the decisions you make now. They will be tested, as you will. If you choose this path, they must, too. And when you all cross the threshold, there will be no going back. The Mist will conceal you, but once your identities are revealed, the balance of the world will most probably shift."
Percy swallowed hard, but the weight of her words only strengthened his resolve. "Fine. I'll do it. I'll take the chance. But I need my friends with me. All of them. Piper, Annabeth, Leo... all of them. They deserve this as much as I do."
Hecate's eyes flickered with a knowing look, as if she had anticipated this answer. After a long pause, she nodded once, decisively. "Very well. I will grant you your wish. But remember, Percy, this is not a game. The lives of mortals and immortals alike hang in the balance of your choices. One wrong move, and your entire world could collapse."
She raised her hands, and the air shimmered as magic swirled around them both. "Your new life on this conquest begins now. You will be Harry Potter, a symbol of hope in the magical world. No one must know the truth of who you are. Not yet. And your friends will follow. But make no mistake, the challenges ahead will be far more dangerous than anything you've faced before. You may be a hero, Percy Jackson, but even heroes have their limits."
"Got it," Percy said, his voice steady but his heart pounding. "Let's do this."
With a flick of her fingers, Hecate opened a portal, its edges crackling with power. Percy stepped forward, his mind filled with both excitement and dread. This was his second chance, and he wasn't going to waste it.
As they stepped into the swirling vortex, Percy couldn't help but wonder: was this truly a fresh start, or had he just stepped into another kind of battlefield? Only time would tell.
I may or may not have made my own alternate Universe on this one. (: in my alternate universe or AU as most dacha tubers would call it, Percy is still the child of Poseidon but also the child of Lily and James Potter, he got his memory wiped for his personal safety, and his name is still Percy Jackson, which was his original name. Also, Hades and Styx decide to let Jason come back to life after the Trials of Apollo and so Jason is alive again, breaking a prophecy for the first time in history. And for those whom forgot the prophecy it is Seven Half-Bloods shall answer the call, to storm or fire the world shall fall, an oath to keep with a final breath and foes bear arms to the doors of death so… yeah. Also I might make a MHA and Harry Potter crossover fanfiction for y'all in correspondence to this story in which Harry Potter, a.k.a Percy Jackson, is deck, or as they call him in the story, Izuku Midorya. :)
