Chapter 1
It was love at first sight. At least for me.
But it didn't happen as it sounds.
On the surface. It was alot more than looks.
She was the girl across town who eventually became my friend.
And as time went on. She became my girlfriend.
As months went on we fell in love.
As much as you could at 16.
Was it the freedom of summer. The water at the beach.
The way I couldn't escape that dimpled grin. Her personality.
The magnetic pull that took place whenever I was with her.
That cabin trip our love bond and connection.
Resulted in our love and feelings guiding the way.
We couldn't keep our hands our lips off each other.
We got lost in the moment. Being young in love makes you not think of the consequences.
A short time after we got back from the trip.
Brooke found out she was pregnant.
That couldn't of been more of a surprise to us both.
But I reassured her we would get through this I would support her.
And I did. Through pregnancy.
Labor and delivery. With me by her side she gave birth control our sons.
They took after me in the looks.
When I took her back to my house
From the hospital. I asked her to marry me. I said words I can't recall now.
I used the engagement ring Keith had given my mom.
When she said yes. I felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
We ended up with a small wedding our friends our family.
Two years later. We had a daughter. She looked so much like Brooke.
We were a family of 5. At 18.
The days weeks and years that followed were full of memories.
Giving our children the strong stable family unit we never had.
