Before them, Sesshomaru still holding onto her wrist, a portal opened. Kagome was snatched. She screamed. Sesshomaru held on, unsure of what was going on. As they were sucked he lost his grip due to the sheer force of whatever this was.
Swirling energy and magic threw them down a rabbit hole.
"Sesshomaru!"
He could still hear and see her. He reached, she reached but they were both just a fingertip short of each other.
Then they were both roughly on the ground. Kagome coughed and hissed and the pain in her hip. Sesshomaru was next to her on his back. "Sesshomaru?"
Then she heard a buzzing and looked up. It was white all around. They were inside somewhere a building. Around them though was blue energy. Kagome reached out and hissed as it snapped at her.
"What?" She looked down. The floor was marble,
Sesshomaru sat up and they looked at each other "We aren't in the past anymore,"
"Where are we?" He asked,
"We are in a building, but I've never seen a force field like this before,"
"Which means?"
"We aren't in my future unless there are things in my future that I dont know about,"
Suddenly doors opened and people ran in.
Sesshomaru stood taking out his sword, Kagome followed putting up her hands. She didn't have her bow.
One look at the people and Kagome knew it was much worse.
"I dont understand," She whispered,
"They have human blood, but they clearly are not human," He stated.
Definitely not.
The males, as they assumed, were tall. The females were short much like Kagome and Sesshomaru were.
Their skin was green, some more of a grayish blue. Some had blue eyes, some had green eyes.
They all had weird black markings on their face, all different.
All had white hair like Sesshomaru.
Whispers went through the building.
Sesshomaru wasn't waiting. He attacked but the force field held and his sword cried out.
He stared at the blade. If he did that again, it would crack.
"Hello? Can you maybe understand me? Where are we?" Kagome called out,
The doors slammed open and a taller, bigger man came in. He wore a black leather trench coat and was followed by a man and woman wearing white coats.
He stopped at the cage and looked at them "Explain," He said. His voice was deep and cracky.
"We are unsure, but clearly a complication has-" The woman started to say but she was cut off "Clearly," The man growled.
"Excuse me?" Kagome moved to step closer but Sesshomaru grabbed her arm stopping her.
He realized very fast that he was powerless and he was pretty sure she was too. It was a hard pill to swallow.
The man looked at her and lifted his lip in a silent snarl.
"Miko," Sesshomaru warned which man the man look at him.
"You are not human,"
"Indeed not,"
"What are you?"
"I am Lord Sesshomaru,"
"You are caged is what you are, your title means nothing,"
"He is a demon, Lord," Kagome spoke.
She was ignored "Is it me or is he ignoring me?"
But the man and Sesshomaru were glaring at each other.
"Do you eat humans?" The man asked,
"I do not partake, however, my mother has been known to,"
Kagome cringed and reminded herself to stay clear of that woman if she ever met her.
The man slid his eyes to Kagome, then back to Sesshomaru.
"The real question is do you eat humans," Kagome asked, stepping back towards Sesshomaru,
"Is she your slave?"
"No," Sesshoamru spoke,
"Then you use her for sex?"
Kagome gapped, she knew if Sesshomaru could he would have had this man's head already.
"Yeah, he kinda doesn't like humans and you're basically insulting him," She said flat.
This time the female walked up and looked at Kagome "If he is not to eat you or use you then why are you with him,"
"Im sorry, can we get back to the where are we part, one minute we are fighting, and the next-
"You are enemies?" The woman asked,
"It's complicated," Kagome answered, "Am I being ignored because I am a woman?"
"You are a human," She stated,
"Oh, great, we found more of your people Sesshomaru you should fit right in,"
"Silence Miko, before I kill you," He told her,
"I'd like to see you try buddy!" She snapped back
"Kagome," He growled, Kagome clamped her mouth shut. His face told her, now was not the time for one of their games.
