Perry and Della walked into a room in a salon. In the middle of it were two tubs. Both were filled with brown-black mud.

"Carol Blackmore bathed in this tub," Perry said, and he pointed to the one on their left.

"Yes," said Della.

They walked over and stared at it.

"Perhaps we should ask them to drain it?" asked Della.

"No, that would destroy the crime scene."

"Oh, right, Chief."

"Maybe would could find a stick, or a rod, to probe the mud with."

"I've got an idea." She slipped off her shoes.

"You're getting into it?"

"Why not!"

She climbed into the tub and settled herself in it, ruining her dress!

He smiled. "How's the mud?"

She also smiled. "I feel like a little kid, doing something naughty!"

"Very naughty!" They both laughed.

She began rummaging around in the mud with her hands. Finally, she picked up an object. She looked at it for a bit, then stood up and handed it to Perry. "A ring."

He looked at it. "A roughly 1/2 caret diamond ring. Good work, Della!"

"Thanks, Chief!"

He hugged her!

He woke up. He found himself in the Miller Hotel, Della sleeping beside him. Remembering the dream he just had, he let out a laugh.

This stirred her. "What's so funny, Perry?"

"Did I awake you? Sorry about that!"

"Let me guess, you just had a crazy dream about me!"

He chuckled. "Sure did, Della!" He quickly told it to her.

"Perry, there are a lot of things I would do for you-but taking a mud bath with my clothes on isn't one of them!"

They both laughed.

"What time is it?"

He turned his bed lamp on and looked at his watch. "6:50. Want to get some more sleep?"

"Yes, that would be nice."

"Ok." He turned the lamp off again. "Night, Della."

"Night."

Just before settling back to sleep, he said, "Would you be willing to take a mud bath with your clothes OFF?"

"Now, that, I might be willing to do!"

They hugged and kissed, then settled back to sleep.
