If It Makes You Happy

"Stupid weather man," Mai grumbled as she and Ishizu stood in the doorway, watching as rain began to pour down in the streets of Domino City. She pulled out an umbrella from her bag, opening it, and holding the canopy over her and Ishizu's heads. "Always gets it wrong!"
They walked out of the doorway, with Ishizu wrapping her arm around Mai's, onto the sidewalks as they huddled under the umbrella, heading to their destination.
"It's not a problem, really." Ishizu remarked, the smell of rain wafting over her, and she couldn't help but inhale. "Besides, I'm still looking forward to where you wanted to take me."
Mai perked up, her earlier grumpiness fading. "Oh, you're going to love it," she said. "This café is one of my new places to go to, their espressos are just divine, and their baked goods really hit the spot."
Ishizu smiled. "A café? That sounds delightful."
Mai nodded, still keeping the umbrella over them. "Oh, and you can try whatever you want, my treat."
Ishizu blinked. "Oh, well, I couldn't."
"It's fine, hun, it's the least I can do for my girlfriend." Mai replied.
"Well, then, in that case, I accept." Ishizu answered.
Mai grinned. "It's a date." She looked up and she then pointed. "Oh, there it is!"
The lit-up café was just across the street, the atmosphere warm and inviting from the inside.
Mai grinned. "C'mon, let's go in."
Ishizu nodded. "Yes, let's."
