Ember wrote this. Or she dreamed it. But it's uncertain as to when: perhaps in reflection some time after the disaster; perhaps it was going through her mind during the disaster; it could even have been a premonitory dream she might have had some days before the disaster.

The water rises
And I must stop it

Protect the flame
My parents' dream
Flame that touched me
As I came to life
(I want to touch the water)
The flame gives strength
So we burn bright
One, two! One, two!
Glass protects,
build a wall
Walls keep out water

Glass, clear and strong

I melt the sand
Which was rock
Made so by
