It has been weeks since Skye died from a rescue mission that proved to be too risky for Skye to try to save those birds from falling which unfortunately got her to freeze to death from a machine that shot ice and hit Skye and died on the spot breaking the heart of the entire paw patrol family all shedding tears for the fallen cockapoo even Ryder who felt somewhat guilty for putting his pups in danger which unfortunately happened in Skye's case and have made a grave for her to rest outside of the paw patrol lookout tower and chase and Ryder where the only ones wearing a suit for her on the day they buried her.
since then Chase had always wondered what he could have done to go faster or react quickly to try to save her Chase was the most heartbroken out of all the pups he was her best friend or even better his girlfriend so one day he decided to use his mighty powers aka test himself (his being speed) to see if he was able to save Skye so as the laps go on and on and on and once the results of the test came out saying on his monitor that he was late on every single lap he did he realized that he could have never saved her no matter what he did to try to go faster his heart broke, even more, realizing she truly was dead and there was no returning her so that's when he decides to end it all he could not bear the fact of living without her
Chase: no matter how hard I tried to go fast I could never beat the lap I guess she was going to die no matter what Chase damn you! if only you had been much faster she would have never frozen to death its your fault that she's dead you moron! that's it (Chase starts to cry again) sob I hate myself for not saving Skye my partner I failed you I can't take this pain anymore I'm killing myself I will leave a note on my pup's house to tell the paw patrol that I will never come back but I don't want to make it too obvious that I was ending myself so that no one will worry but I don't want them to get depressed if they find out I'm ending it all (little did he know later in the day that one of his best friends would not be fooled by the language of the note and the obvious depression he had since the death of Skye)
it was afternoon so everyone was playing outside of the lookout tower on the front lawn since they had just finished their mission earlier today they decided to play with Ryder throwing Frisby and Chase which would be his last day with the rest of the group since it was just too much for him to bear the pain of what he had gone through so he decided to share one last moment with his pals as a thank you so that's when chase puts his plan into notice
Chase: hey everyone I need to pick up something from the pup house it won't take long
Rocky: ok We will wait
Ryder: Okay, sounds good to me Make sure you come back. You don't want us to be waiting too long, do ya?
Chase: ok ok with a small chuckle Il make sure yall don't wait that long I don't want to miss it either (as he lies to his companions about what he plans actually to do that will break their hearts when they find out later today)
Chase goes to his pup's house to leave his pup tag on his door to make sure Ryder or no one tracks Chase on where he is going to commit suicide along with the note saying thanks for everything -Chase
Chase: I'm going to miss this pup house and the paw patrol I'm so sorry everyone please forgive me I love all of you but Skye is not here with me i can't live without her she was amazing please don't hate me for my decision as he sobs
Chase stealthily escapes the paw patrol headquarters to prevent anyone from noticing as he escapes from the back of the headquarters for that reason as he walks to the edge of the cliff where it leads to the water below him as chase prepares to jump off the cliff he gives his one last good to his buddies back there
Chase: thank you all for the memories we had guys you're the best I've ever had I'm so sorry for all the pain I'm going to put you all through but I do want to see Skye again i can't live without her so hold on Skye I'm coming dear to be with you
Then he starts to jump off the cliff sheading one last tear of happiness from all the memories he made as a member of the paw patrol
I'm the moment Chase left the headquarters everyone wondered why Chase was taking so long to come back and play frisbee he did say he was coming soon, and that's when Marshall asked why he was taking so long to come back
Marshall: where is Chase i thought he said he was coming back soon didn't he?
Ryder: yeah it's already 6 minutes since he said he would come back
Zuma: yeah what's wrong with this dude I want to play frisbee now!
Marshall: yeah you know what im going to go check up on him and see why he is taking so long to come back.
Ryder: ok we'll wait
Everyone (except marshall): yeah
Marshall: Ok Im going to get him now
as Marshall runs to go see Chase at his pup house as marshall gets close to his pup house he starts to Hollar at him as he approaches his pup house
Marshall: hey buddy are you ok what's taking you so long as he walks straight to his pup's house
he sees his door shut tight with a note hanging on the sliding door along with his pup badge saying thanks for everything -chase at the first couple of seconds he is confused as to why Chase would make a note saying thanks for everything what did he mean it was after a couple of more seconds when he realized what he truly meant to say and it was not a very good this was a very serious crisis chase was going through andit makes sense he has not been himself ever since Skye has died he has been crying and shedding tears more often and has not been hiding it well even most of the paw patrol knew he was in a horrible mental state and wish they could help him with what they could
Marshall: nooooooo Chase please don't tell me you killed yourself no no no no no it can't be too late, can it? (that was when he smelled his scent)I can still smell his scent it smells fresh he could not have gone far just yet, but I can still save Chase from his death
In the heat of the moment, Marshall runs immediately to the pup tower to wear his gear he also calls Ryder with pup tag at the moment he is running to the pup tower
Marshall: RYDER COME IN THIS IS MARSHALL!
Ryder: copy that what's wrong!?
Marshall: ITS CHASE HE LEFT THE PUP HOUSE NOR HEADQUARTERS
Ryder: WHAAAATT!
Everyone WHAAAATTT!?
Ryder: Where is he?
Marshall: I THINK HE IS TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE!
Ryder: WHAAAATTT! How do you know I don't believe you!
Marshall: he has not been himself lately he cries almost every single time he thinks about Skye it has been hard on him that I think he could not take it anymore
Ryder: yeah that makes sense Marshall where are you now and where are you running to?
Marshall: im going to the pup tower now to put on my air rescue equipment i think he is trying to jump off a cliff nearby where he could not have gone far
Ryder: ok Marshall I will let you take charge of saving Chase we're all counting on you to save Chase please save him
Marshall: don't worry I got this Ryder
Rubble: please Marshall save him! please (sobs)
as Marshall made it near the pup tower he climbed the elevator without slipping this time like he always did when his buddies got into the pup tower elevator and he rolled like a bowling ball he got ready to put his jet pack that he used for air rescues in the middle of the tower when he got to the top of the tower he ran and jumped off the tower with his jet pack to find and save chase
Marshall: where are you, Chase! I hope I'm not too late to save you, Chase, my friend now where do I start looking (as he looks for a possible high-altitude location for Chase to jump off since he believes that's the method he would use to end himself) oh on the cliff's surrounding the pup tower where are you, my friend (as he goes around every edge of a cliff to try to find chase and then his heart broke when he saw his best friend falling off the edge of the cliff and that's when marshall flies down to the edge of the cliff to save chase from his death)
a couple of seconds ago while Chase started to descend to his death he shed his one last tear of joy with a smile at all the memories he had with his friend at the paw patrol even Marshall his close friend
Chase:(talking to himself) I'm sorry buddy you're my best pal thank you for all the memories we had as pups when we started even you rocky, and Zuma, at last, I can finally see Skye again and we will be happy together just like when you were here on earth and all my pain will go away when I'm dead
then out of nowhere, he sees an object getting close to him as he's falling he sees Marshall
Marshall: (talking to himself) Not this time buddy I'm not letting you die today after all you've done for us like Skye not another loss to our paw patrol family, not another pain to our gut we still need you CHAASE!
Marshall reaches Chase as he gets close to Chase he grabs Chase from behind they get very close to hitting the water, and almost dying Marshall just saved Chase's life as marshall flies up to the top of the cliff he throws Chase in a somewhat careful manner to the grassy floor kinda hurt from the shortfall marshall did to him chase sits up looking at marshall and marshall in disbelief looks on him shedding tears on what he was going to do to himself
Marshall: Chase what are you doing are you out of your mind what's wrong what happened?
Chase: it's Skye i want to see her again
As Chase says that he sheds a tear
Marshall: im sorry i know Skye meant a lot to you but for me and us you do too chase we all care about you, and, and we all love you it would make me (as he starts to shed more tears and sob lightly)
Chase:(sobbing and crying) im sorry I can't live without her I miss her so much I love her it's so painful it's not fair why did it have to happen to her why was I not fast enough to save her (sobbing and crying)
Marshall:(brings Chase in for a hug) I'm sorry Chase I wish I could have been there for you much sooner before you tried to you know- if you are guilty of not being able to save her I will let you know it's not your fault it was unexpected we all could not have predicted and it was an accident im also sure she loves you and that she would want for you to be there with us the paw patrol than to end it all here on earth
Chase:hmmmmm sobbing Marshall im sorry I was an idiot for doing this I did not know how to deal with this it's my fault for making you worry
Marshall: it's ok Chase it's fine you're safe with us come on let's get you to the pup tower with everyone you had everyone worried let's so go see them so we can let them know you ok
Chase and Marshall head back to the headquarters walking of course with marshalls flying gear on him as they walk to the headquarters they meet everyone on the front lawn with everyone worried
Everyone (except Chase and Marshall): CHASE you're ok!
Rocky: why would you do that to use chase why we love you
Rubble: yeah Chase you had US all worried
Ryder: Chase! Ryder hugs Chase and squeezes him tight I was so worried about you Chase I'm so glad Marshall saved you before we lost another member of the paw patrol and friend you have no idea how heartbroken I was
Chase: I'm so sorry Ryder I should have never put that through with you guys as
as Chase sheds a tear out of shame
Ryder: it's okay buddy you're safe here with us we promise there's no judgment I'm not mad at you personally I am Guilty of her death as a leader of the paw patrol it's my duty to try to keep you all safe and I felt that I failed to keep her safe that day countless nights of guilt I felt as she is my responsibility and I failed her but I keep reminding myself that she is one of the bravest members of the paw patrol and she risked it all for us countless of times and for that she is a hero to us all for being the smallest pup she really had the most guts and I would never have forced her to join the paw patrol unless she wanted to but she knew the risks and wanted to help those in need despite her being small
Zuma: yeah she really was amazing I feel really bad about losing her too she was my friend as well she was just what we all needed from a girl who was strong and resilient but unfortunately things in life aren't a happy ending but I try to find ways to push forward without her it's what we all need to do if we want to move on and not be sad all the time dude.
Marshall: see Chase you're not alone when it comes to Skye we all miss her and im sure she does miss us too
Everyone: yeah!
Ryder: Chase?
Chase: yes Ryder?
Ryder: well I've been thinking you have not been feeling well these few weeks right after Skye was gone right?
Chase: yeah I guess you're right
Ryder: well I'm going to need you to take a break from what you did and it truly did scare us I thought we would lose you and you are not ok I am going to have to ask you to take a rest from all the rescues we will take care of them for some time until you feel better and that's an order
Chase: ok ill rest I do need one from all that happened these few weeks
Ryder: ok we will make sure to give you the emotional support you need from all this to make sure you are feeling better we promise to be there for whatever you need just yelp for help and we will talk to you more often if possible you don't need to hide your emotions from us we are here for you and we will never leave you no matter what ok we are sorry if we where not there to support you often but I promise only if you let me and us help you
Chase: ok sure I won't hide my feelings from anyone from now on as he sheds a tear with a soft smile)
Ryder: make sure you talk to us about anything ok?
Chase: ok I will
Everyone goes to hug Chase and all howl in sync and all thank Marshall for saving Chase's life after the hug they all resume playing frisbee until the night falls as everyone goes to their pup houses they all say goodnight to each other as they approach their pup houses as everyone goes to there pup houses to go to sleep for the day but as they all went to sleep marshall decided to go to chases pup house to check up on him
Marshall: chase
Chase: oh hey Marshall what's up
Marshall: oh nothing much I just wanted to check up on you
Chase: I'm still sad about Skyes passing I'm still not ok it's going to take some time for me to adjust today was just hectic cause of me also marshall
Marshall: yes?
Chase: thank you thank you so much for saving me I'm so so sorry for putting you all through it I promise I won't never do something like that again I never want you guys to put you through like that again
Marshall: it's ok I'm just glad you're still here pal the journey for your recovery will be a long one and you're welcome.
Chase: you are my best friend i will never leave your side ever
Marshall: ok ima going to sleep see you tomorrow
Chase: Kay see you
Marshall goes to his pup's house to sleep as the chase is in his deep thoughts he thinks to himself will he ever see Skye again or will he ever get over her but right now he needs to sleep so this bad day can go by quickly so that he sleeps
thank you all for reading my first fanfic this will be uploaded to fanfiction as well if you are all curious I hope this was not too cheesy for my first fanfic this took me a week to make cause of work and distractions I was hoping not to make the dialogue too long or not right to MightySHAK or superspyshack's story but I wanted to make this because I loved this animation so I wondered what would a more detailed version of the fan animation aka the story since there was no real diolouge to it would look so I made this and shout out to superspyshack for this amazing animation and inspiration to the adaptation of the fan animation musical
so part 2 of this will be about Chase moving on from Skye's death and will completely follow that part of the story where he flies in his aviation suit so look forward to this also I was planning on having both parts be completed to have the book be completed instead of having the audience wait but that i realized i can hype the book this way anyways see you all in the next part.
