The entire town of Springfield gathered one late January evening in the Aztec movie theater, preparing for the servers to be turned off. Marge Simpson was waiting in the lobby with her children, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, for her husband to arrive after a long day at work.

"Mom, can I have some popcorn and soda?" Bart Simpson asked his mom.

"Me too! Can I have some popcorn?" Lisa joined in, grinning eagerly.

"Mmm, you just brushed your teeth..." Marge Simpson said.

"We'll brush them again once we return again. Please, can we have some popcorn?"

"Ok, I guess." They walked over to the refreshments stand and got in line. They eventually got to the front.

"Two large popcorns, two small sodas, and a Krusty burger, please." she told the Pimple Faced Teen at the concessions counter.

"Coming right up." the teen went to the popcorn machine and picked up the scoop. "Do you guys want butter on your popcorn?"

"Yes, please." Marge told him, watching as he scooped up popcorn into the paper bags then began pumping butter all over them. "I'm surprised you're working tonight."

"I'll be off in 10 minutes then I'm leaving to see my girlfriend." he told her, handing her one bag of popcorn before starting another. She handed it off to Bart.

"Oh, that's good." The Pimpled Faced Teen filled up the other bag of popcorn then grabbed a Krusty Burger from the warming grill. He handed the other popcorn to Lisa, and the hotdog to Marge. Then he grabbed two small cups for the kids and handed them to Lisa.

"Thanks!" they all told him then went to the drinks dispenser. Bart and Lisa set their popcorns on the counter momentarily while they filled their cups with fully sugared soda. Maggie started fussing so Marge tended to her. The patriarch of the family, Homer, finally arrived.

"I'm here!" he said, kissing his wife. He spotted, or more likely, smelled the Krusty Burger. "Ooh, is that for me?"

"Yes." Marge smiled, handing him the burger. He leaned close to whisper in her ear.

"I brought you a little something too."

"Hehehehe." Marge giggled. Homer joined in then he put his arm around her. The family started towards the auditoriums with their treats in hand. "What movie are we watching, anyway?"

"The one with the monster in it."

"Ooh., that sounds good." they walked into auditorium 5 and picked a random row to sit down in. Muttering started up as they scooted into their seats and sat down. Marge settled Maggie into her lap. Homer reached into his coat and pulled out a cola and juice box which he handed to his wife. Marge settled Maggie into her lap, then unwrapped the straw and stuck it into the box for Maggie. She opened the can of cola and started drinking it. Homer pulled out a can of Duff for himself and opened it as well. Bart and Lisa had already begun eating and drinking, watching the advertisements for Bored of the Rings, Krusty's Christmas Special, and so on.

"Did you remember to lock the front and back door of the house, Homer?" Marge asked, holding the box of juice as Maggie drank.

"Yes, ma'am. I even double checked that the garage door was fully closed and the second key was in its hiding place." Homer told her.

"You put the meat I had defrosting in the sink back in the freezer, right?"

"Yes."

Marge's phone went off with the alert, startling everyone. She quickly turned it off, tucking it into her purse. "Kids, it's time."

They nodded and put away their own phones, putting their trash into one of the paper bags. Marge pulled out a plastic bag to put the trash in, then put the bag into her purse. Homer put and arm around his wife's shoulders and they turned their attention to the giant screen in front of them.

"Sssshhhh!" someone hushed. Everyone went silent, settling in and turning their attention towards the giant screen. then the room went dark.

This work is based off the Tapped Out: The Simpsons mobile game. The servers for the mobile game were turned off on January 24th, 2025 so I'm writing continuation fanfic. I wasn't quite satisfied with some of the quests and events too.

Sorry for slow updates! I'm going back to school and might be starting a new job this spring/summer. 2025 seems like it's going to be a hectic year for me.

Thanks for reading! Have a great rest of your day.
