Chapter 6:
Joe and Maddison sat down with the group. "Sorry about Opila and Nabnab," says Banban, "they don't really have human level intelligence. They're pretty much animals who rely on instinct."
"Wha-what happened to you guys," asks Joe.
"We were once human..." says Banban.
Flashback:
I wasn't just the principal; I was also the head researcher. We were working in our lab under the school. We discovered a strange substance we called Givanium. One day, it exploded. Somehow, it turned us into the characters we made up for the artwork and a drop of it got on Claire, keeping her from aging. When we spoke with the children, they all got scared and disappeared...
Present:
"Wait, so you guys didn't do anything with the kids," asks Joe.
"You're looking for the children," says Banban, "so am I."
"Uthman's been looking for them for years," says Banbaleena.
Jumbo Josh appears. "So, what about him," asks Joe.
"Josh was a scientist too," says Banbaleena, but when the givanium mutated him..."
"Josh dum-dum now," says Josh, "but Josh members."
"I think he means he remembers," says Maddison.
"Josh never saw son again," says Josh.
"You were a father," asks Joe.
Banbaleena picks up a picture and hands it to Joe and Joe sees Josh's family. There was something familiar about them.
...
Joe and Maddison exit. "We have to help them," says Maddison.
"I guess," says Joe.
"How'd it go," asks T. He then sees the picture. "Hey, how'd you get that picture of my father, grandmother, and grandfather?"
Joe and Maddison look. "You're Josh's grandson," asks Joe.
