Chapter Three
Just to clarify Tory and Robby never had the conversation about taking a break and instead of the teams going to the bar between events it's the same night as the "field trip" they had.
It was the next day when Tory was startled awake. She gasped as she sat up and winced in pain. She looked down at her legs and frowned and that's when it started to come back to her. What Kwon did to her came rushing right back. Tory quickly jumped out of the bed and cried out in pain. She looked back at the bed and was thankful that Kwon was still asleep. She rushed to pick up her clothes and get dressed before rushing out of the room to her own hotel room. Tears ran down her cheeks as she groaned in pain. She couldn't remember everything that happened last night, but she did understand what had happened. Tory got to her hotel room, opened the door and then slid down to the floor but then groaned when she felt a sharp pain in her chest.
Tory hesitantly raised her shirt and was horrified when she saw the bruises that had formed. She went to change into her Gi, and instead of being excited for the competition like she had been last night, she was terrified. She would have to see Kwon along with everyone from her old dojo, and she just kept hoping that they wouldn't need to fight against each other already.
Unfortunately, she wasn't so lucky because shortly after, she and every other team took part in the competition. She looked around, at the Dutch team, Zara, the fan-favourite hometown team, and the team from Canada. She looked to the other side of the arena and saw Miyagi-Do and swallowed. She didn't want to do this anymore. She wanted to run, just like she did when she saw that Silver had paid the ref again when they fought to make it here. The urge to run got worse when she saw that the first competition was against four teams…and that Miyagi-Do was one of the three they would be going up against.
Tory looked beside her and saw Kreese and Kim smirking. She breathed in and out heavily. She knew if they didn't win this there would be hell to pay, and she felt she had already been through hell and back with what Kwon had done to her.
Tory along with the rest of the team huddled and while Kwon went over the game plan, Tory stayed quiet, letting him take the lead although knowing his plan would fail and that her old dojo would just sit back and wait. "To protect the egg". Tory sighed and wasn't able to focus on anything until Kreese called her over.
Kreese stood in front of her, his arms crossed. "Why aren't you speaking up? You know Kwon's plan won't work against their defense," Kreese told her, not knowing what was wrong with his "Queen Cobra".
"I'm sorry. I'll go back and be more vocal. I know attacking them first will work better," Tory told him and walked over to the group, pushing past Kwon and going straight for Miyagi-Do since the fight was called to start before she could explain her plan to the team. Yoon and the rest of Cobra Kai followed her and started attacking. Tory could feel the burn in her upper body where Kwon had hit her previously and felt her breathing shallow. She started to gasp when she strained to block one of Devon's punches and stumbled backwards. Devon looked at her, concern clear in her eyes.
"Tory, you okay?" Devon asked, ready for Tory to start attacking again but was confused as to when Tory groaned, like she was in pain. "Tory, talk to me?" Devon asked, voice louder, gaining the attention of Sam, Robby, Kreese and the commissioner. Sam and Robby stop fighting and rush over to Tory and start asking her what's wrong when Robby goes closer to her and grabs her face, making her look at him.
"Tory, babe I need you to tell me where you're hurting right now," Robby begged, needing to know what was going on with his girlfriend.
"Up-upper body, mostly my s-stomach," Tory breathed out, eyes tearing up, the pain becoming unbearable.
Robby nodded and looked towards Daniel and Johnny, eyes begging for help. Daniel rushed over to the commissioner and explained what he'd seen and when the commissioner nodded he asked for a mic.
"Everyone stop fighting," The commissioner said through the mic and everyone stopped after a few seconds, many sighing, disappointed. "Everyone clear the mat and leave," the commissioner ordered and the teams listened, rushing out of the room. Cobra Kai. Miyagi-Do and the board were the only ones left in the arena after a couple of minutes.
Tory was guided down to the mat by Robby and Devon and closed her eyes, whimpering from the pain she was feeling. Robby undid her black belt, moved her Gi and gasped when he saw the black and purple bruises that were forming. Devon and Sam also gasped. They didn't know what they were expecting but seeing how beaten up she looked, they felt sick to their stomachs. They had gotten closer to Tory and hated seeing her like this.
"Oh, my god," Robby breathed out, shocked at what he was seeing. He looked over to where Cobra Kai was standing and saw Kreese and Kim, shock clear on their faces and Robby knew right away that they weren't faking that emotion. He looked over at her teammates and saw the concern on all their faces except for Kwon. Kwon held a smirk on his face. Robby looked at his dad and gestured towards Kwon.
Johnny nodded and walked over to the commissioner, explaining what he'd seen, and Gunther walked over to Kwon. Johnny called for medics, and they rushed over to Tory. He watched his son push Tory's hair out of her face and the concern grew in his eyes as he moved by her head to let the medics work on her.
"Tory," one of the medics spoke, "Tory I need you to tell me what happened."
Tory groaned, opened her eyes and looked up at Robby, tears forming.
"I" Tory hesitated. "Last night my team and I were hanging out at a small, age-appropriate bar when a teammate and I left," Tory's breathing remained shaky. "I only had one drink, but I had never felt so out of control and intoxicated," Tory explained.
"So, what happened that caused the bruises?" one of the female medics asked.
"I," Tory hesitates and looks towards Kwon and her other Cobra Kai teammates. The medic follows her gaze.
"Tory," the medic starts, lowering her voice. I know you may not want to tell me in front of everyone, but I need to know so I can start treating you how you need to."
Tory closed her eyes and nodded. "I was drugged," Tory told the medic and imagined Robby's eyes widening above her. "I got dragged back to one of their hotel rooms and he," Tory let a tear fall from her eye. "He raped me and soon after he started so I ended up passing out, so I don't know what he did to me after, but I guess from how sore I am he beat me," Tory told the medic, keeping her eyes closed.
Robby's mouth gaped open in shock but continued to rub Tory's head gently.
The medic sighed and reached into her med bag. "Alright Tory, I'm going to push down where your ribs are and see if they're broken or not," The medic explained, not wanting to do anything unexpected that could cause Tory to panic. The medic waited for Tory to nod and when she did the medic softly pushed down on her stomach and when Tory whimpered, and her eyes shot open.
"Ow!" Tory couldn't help but shout out.
The medic sighed and looked at Tory. "Tory, I think you may have broken ribs. We need to get you to the hospital right now."
Tory sighed but nodded. "Fine. Let's just get this over with."
