Disclaimer: I don't own Defenders of the Earth. I only own my OC Stacy.

Darkness was the first thing that greeted Mandrake upon regaining consciousness. That and the crackling of a nearby fire. Groaning softly Mandrake reached over to rub his face only to find some kind of cloth wrapped around his head covering his eyes.

Something had obviously happened to him for him to be in this state but what wasn't exactly clear to the magician. At least not immediately. Then memories of what happened before loosing consciousness began flooding his mind causing him to clutch his head and also causing his head to throb in pain.

Flashback

The Defenders of the Earth were flying over Africa after learning that Ming's forces were after some endangered herbs but what purpose the herbs had was as of yet unknown seeing as these herbs could be used for theoretically dozens of uses.

Things had started off quietly enough at least at first. That was until the four adult Defenders suddenly found themselves under attack by Ming's forces as they somehow got the jump on them. As for what happened to the other Defenders Flash, Phantom, and Lothar Mandrake had no idea as he had been shot down amidst the craziness. Though he had no idea if he was the only one shot down or not.

However he didn't loose consciousness in the crash. It was what happened next was where he was knocked out. First thing he tried to do was contact the others but that was unfortunately not successful as the ship's communications was being jammed. After climbing out of his ship the next thing he knew was that he was dodging weapons fire from Ming's ice robots. Just as Mandrake was about to turn and cast an illusion upon Ming's forces he was struck in the face by one of the blasts from the Ice robot's weapons. Sure it wasn't a direct hit but it was enough to render Mandrake unconscious.

Present

Apparently Mandrake hadn't been captured by Ming's Ice Robots so what did happen then? Groaning Mandrake began rubbing his face again as he started sitting up slowly. It was then that a female voice piped up as she said "You might want to take it easy there, friend. You're lucky not to be permanently blinded from the lasers those weird robots were wielding. At least that's what the scans from my cybernetics told me about your eyes."

Mandrake turned in the direction of the voice as the stranger was the one that likely treated his injury. Her being cybernetic or not was hardly relevant but Mandrake asked "Cybernetic?"

"Yeah I'm a cybernetic hero from another dimension and I saw you in trouble so I went to help you. However when I arrived in this dimension I was far from at full strength. Fortunately I was just strong enough to drive those walking popsicles off. Anyway my name is Stacy. Sorry if I come off as socially awkward but what with me being a high functioning autistic I can't help it." The woman now known as Stacy said.

"It's alright." Mandrake began as if not bothered one bit by the socially awkward adult that Stacy admitted to be before he continued "I'm also in the hero business myself but am from this dimension. My name is Mandrake and I seem to have gotten separated from my friends. I am part of a group of heroes known as the Defenders of the Earth. Maybe you have seen them." Mandrake then began to describe the other three heroes in the group.

"Sorry but I have not seen any one other than yourself or those robots. If I did see your friends I would of been able to reunite you with them." Stacy said sounding upset that she wasn't that much help. "However I could head out of this cave and look around to see if they are wandering around out there. Or maybe we can use my communicator to tap into your teams communication system. I know it's a bit of a stretch though."

Mandrake may not of known this Stacy but her idea did have some merit so he said "All I would have to do is give you the code needed. That is if your communication system isn't also jammed as well like mine is."

Stacy opened a panel in her cybernetic hands before she said "These cybernetics are much more advanced than human technology so there might be a chance that the communication system that comes with it might be advanced enough to be helpful to us."

Mandrake dug into his pocket before handing his communicator to out in Stacy's general direction only for the woman to take ahold of it. Sure Stacy was far from a mechanical genius but maybe just maybe this would work. Wires began extending out of the opened panel in one of her cybernetic hands and plugged into the communicator Mandrake passed to her. Said communicator beeped softly as it seemed to be responding to what the cybernetics were doing. Mandrake listened as after awhile there was what sounded like an SOS signal pinging loud and clear.

Then the signal stopped suddenly causing Stacy to say "Uh oh."
