Trapped

A few hours later, Ashlyn and Kayli looked out at the horizon to see a few large structures in the distance. The young women had just received a crucial update from Master Skywalker who had informed all the groups briefly that there were storehouses somewhere in the vicinity that the invaders had taken control of. They had been instructed to keep an eye out for these structures and to inform the others as soon as it was confirmed as the right location.
"Don't initiate an attack until everyone else has arrived," was her former Master's last words through the comlink.
"You don't think those could be the storehouses, do you?" Kayli asked curiously.
"More than likely," Ashlyn responded thoughtfully, "Ah well, only one way to find out," she added as the Jedi Knight started to lead their group of Clone Troopers toward the group of buildings. Within a matter of moments, the party were close enough to see more clearly through macrobinoculars. The group watched for half an hour, when suddenly a young man dressed in black and red robes exited the building briefly before disappearing back inside.
"The Empire is here," Ashlyn mumbled as she rose to a low crouch in preparation for getting closer to the building.
Kayli felt cold suddenly as a shiver ran up her spine and she reached out to grab Ashlyn's arm, "Wait, we need to send word to the others and wait here for everyone to arrive before we attack."
This promptly reminded the other Jedi Knight of Anakin's last instruction but then the sound of a ship's engines roared nearby.
"Except if we don't go now we will miss them," Ashlyn pointed out.
Kayli sighed nervously, "Well at least wait for me to send out a message?" she requested simply which the other young woman nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Daly and Kai were nearby with their group of Clone Troopers when their comlinks started to beep. The older Jedi Knight took his comlink out of his pouch and answered the call to find Kayli on the other end.
"Are you both okay?" Daly asked in concern but then realised that it was a recorded message rather than a live communication as Kayli was not answering the question. The message contained the coordinates of where Ashlyn and Kayli were as well as the storehouses.
"We are about to enter to investigate further," Kayli's voice stated, ending the message right there.
"What?" Kai asked in complete confusion which was written all over his face.
Daly started to stride off in the right direction with determination, "Come on, we need to get there before something bad happens," he ordered swiftly as the party followed him.
Ash! Daly called to her over his bond as he felt something dark shift in the Force but there was no reply which caused his chest to constrict slightly in worry. The young man scrambled with his comlink as he tried to get in contact with Ashlyn but none of his attempts were getting through.
"Looks like someone is jamming our transmissions," Kai mentioned as he quickened his pace.

Meanwhile, Anakin and Obi-wan had just left Cham Syndulla's hideout after receiving the message from Kayli. The younger Jedi Master was still trying to figure out why Ashlyn would risk her own safety and not follow orders to wait until everyone arrived. Then both men felt an unnerving shift in the Force which made their brisk walk turn into a run.
"Did you feel that?" Anakin asked his former Master.
Obi-wan's brow creased slightly with a frown, "We should get to those coordinates before something bad happens."

Meanwhile, the two young Jedi Knights were cautiously walking around the storehouses towards where the entrance that the Sith had disappeared through was. Kayli and Ashlyn quickly determined that he was still inside but when the pair entered, they found something they did not expect. Two Sith clad in black and red robes with armour protecting the majority of their vital organs and limbs, standing in the middle of the massive room, staring directly at them. The Jedi Knights activated their lightsabers and stood there patiently, waiting for the inevitable moment. Unlike earlier, neither of the Sith were wearing a mask and had lowered their hoods which enabled their features to be on display. They both looked to be in their late teens and were definitely brothers, judging by their identical white-blonde hair. The Sith that was directly across from Ashlyn had blue eyes with a slight reddish tinge to the irises and his red tattoos under his eyes and around his mouth made him look like he was bleeding profusely from those vital areas as he paced back and forth, staring into Ashlyn's eyes with limitless confidence. The other young man, who was standing directly across from Kayli, had blood-red eyes that matched the intricately designed tattoo which adorned his forehead. Both of them already had their lightsabers activated as if they were ready and waiting for the Jedi Knights to enter the building. Instead of bringing fear to the young women, however, this brought comfort as they were both accustomed to duelling with someone who had the same lightsaber combat style. Kayli stared down her opponent who held two single-bladed lightsabers, one in each hand. While Ashlyn refused to break eye contact with her opponent who held a doubled-bladed lightsaber in his strong grip. Kayli stayed calm with deep breaths as she sensed that her opponent was about to strike and a few moments later she was right to prepare herself. The Sith had run towards her and moved both lightsabers to the left as he got ready for a double side slash. Upon reaching her, Kayli moved quickly from her ready stance into a right block which stopped the red blades in their tracks. Then the Jedi Knight only had a few seconds to react to the Sith withdrawing his right lightsaber from the block to swing it up and around the back of his head as it was about to strike her from the other side. Kayli pushed his left lightsaber away from her and then brought it back in a swift block which resulted in the Sith's hands being crossed uncomfortably at the wrist as she pushed down. Then as she noticed the Sith was losing his footing, the Jedi Knight grabbed his right arm and flipped the teenager underneath himself. Her opponent was now lying flat on his back as Kayli made her next move with a vertical downward stab. However, before the Jedi Knight could execute this manoeuvre the teenager had used the Force to throw one of the crates at Kayli to distract her while he used the opportunity to jump back onto his feet. The Sith leapt at Kayli as he crossed his lightsaber blades in an overhead strike. As her opponent had the height advantage Kayli had no choice but to execute an overhead block and then as they got locked in a battle of strength, she reacted by kicking her front foot up to aim for the Sith's mid-section. This resulted in the teenager removing himself from the block and leaping back about a metre away from his opponent.

Throughout the fight, Ashlyn and the other Sith were in a stand off due to the Sith taking his time which told Ashlyn that this one was more mindful than his brother. The Sith was pacing back and forth, clearly looking the Jedi Knight up and down with a certain level of curiosity. This made Ashlyn slightly nervous on the inside, but she tried hard not to show that on her face. Ashlyn started to walk steadily towards her opponent to see how he would react and then quickly leapt to the left as the Sith threw a crate at her. He then proceeded to throw three more crates causing Ashlyn to leap from right to left as she approached her opponent. The last leap landed her right in front of the Sith and Ashlyn struck for his leg which he blocked in a cross. Then the Sith stepped sideways as he stab-blocked with his lightsaber which Ashlyn sidestepped out of the way in time to avoid the strike. As Ashlyn turned to continue the attack, when she found the Sith gone from sight.
Dammit. He's force cloaked himself. Ashlyn thought to herself. Daly had done this in a few of their sparring matches, but she used their bond to find him. That method wouldn't work against this opponent due to her not having a bond with them. Ashlyn waited at the ready patiently as she turned in circles slowly, waiting for any sign of her opponent reappearing. While Ashlyn was turning in these circles unbeknownst to her, her opponent was circling around to stay behind her. Ashlyn reached out into the Force and sensed at the exact right amount and turned sharply to block a stab that was aimed at the middle of her back. She stared at her opponent for a few seconds before pushing the lightsaber away but as she went to strike again the Sith recloaked himself. After only mere seconds the Sith reveals himself as he stabs at Ashlyn's side which she reacts to by crouching low under the blade as she blocked with her lightsabers pushing her opponents blade up and away from her. Then Ashlyn stuck her leg out and swept the Sith's legs out from under him. As he fell backwards, the Sith turned his lightsaber off and managed to backflip towards the row of crates. As the Sith continued to leap through the air, he force pulled one of the crates and threw it towards the trail of spice that the brothers had already spread out as part of their plan to trap the Jedi inside the warehouse. Ashlyn jumped out of the way of the crate with mere seconds to the spare and then froze momentarily as the fire spread quickly, blocking off their only exit from the warehouse.
"You're trapped now, Jedi" the Sith snarled at her, "May the force be with you" he mocked lightly.
"You overestimate yourself" Ashlyn said as she turned to face her opponent, "A little fire doesn't scare me."
The Sith snarled at her angrily and leapt down towards her from on top of a stack of more crates and activated his lightsaber in a downward sweep strike as her opponent leapt towards her. The Sith grinned widely as he detached his lightsaber in half and aimed to stab her in the mid-section at which point Ashlyn realises how much danger she is in as both of her lightsabers are blocking above her head.

A/N: I am sorry for the delay in this chapter being posted. Real life happened, my father passed away and I was in my final year of university and I needed to focus on that stuff for the last 6 months of last year.
