Minutes later...

Balin slowly woke up from his pass-out, feeling groggy after his sugar rush at I.M.P's celebration social. With cake.

It was after he opened his eyes where he soon noticed, he wasn't in the office anymore. He was now on the streets on Hell. But as he checked to see if his disguise was on, he then looked down to see he was a few feet off the ground as if he was flying on something invisible.

Before long, he saw two familiar paw-pads walking on the concrete. He looked back up to see it was Loona, carrying him in her arms back to the apartment.

"Well, my." she chuckled. "Look who's finally awake."

Balin then yawned like a sleepy baby. "How long was I asleep?" It wasn't hard to spot that he was still tired.

"Around 40 minutes." she replied, then teased him tracing a claw through his little hair. "Personally I think you're more cuter that way."

"So where are we going now?"

"Home for the night, little meal." Loona replied again. "You clearly look like you could use an early night."

"No, I don't." he weakly protested.

He then tried to hold very still, but Loona just noticed the cute sight.

"Kiddo, what are you doing?" she giggled.

"Trying not to yawn..." he kept his breath in.

Loona just laughed as she ducked into an alley where no-one could see them. Looking around to see if no-one else was in the alley as well, she started tickling his little tummy.

"Tickle, tickle, tickle!" she quietly cooed, as Balin's face turned purple trying to hold the laughter in. "C'mon, squirm for me, runt."

At last, Balin couldn't hold his laughter in and let out some breathy giggles before yawning. Loona stopped after seeing the yawns and giggled herself.

"OK, I am ready to go now, Loona." sighed Balin.

"See? That wasn't so hard, wasn't it?" she chuckled, as she kept on walking from the alley.

"I'm sorry for all that back there." the boy lowered his head, feeling a little guilty for the cakey ruckus.

"Nah, don't stress it." smiled the hellhound cradling him. "Tends to happen with all you little dudes out there."

But in saying that, Loona did show Balin a slice of M and Kit-Kat cake she saved in some Glad-Wrap for him, making the boy pant like a dog as they returned to the apartment.

AT LOONA'S APARTMENT...

Loona was busy preparing dinner for the night, as Balin finished half of his English homework for the night.

Whenever they weren't having pizza, or burgers, they'd usually share the Hellish brand of 2-minute noodles known as 'Mom Left'. Buttonight, she cooked some grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and spring onions.

Once the meal was made, Loona called Balin from his bedroom to immediately join her at the dining room table.

The kid sat down at the table, seeing tonight's dinner, and the hellhound chuckled at his surprised reaction.

"I know, I know you kids have your vegetable problems." she grinned with an eye-roll. "But you do need pure protein. It's important. Now, eat up...?"

Loona was stunned as she finished speaking to see Balin actually eating the onions mixed with his potatoes, like it was no big deal. It was like this was the only kid who didn't bitch or moan about eating vegetables in general.

So chuckling at this proud moment, Loona just ate her plate of grilled chicken with a soft smile.

As they continued eating, Balin soon felt his iPhone vibrating in the pocket of his school uniform shorts, and so he answered it to see it was Matt.

"Hello, Matt." he answered with a smile.

"Balin...?" sang Loona, who smirked twitching her ear. "What would your parents say about phones during supper?"

"Okay, Loona..." sighed Balin, knowing what she meant. "I'll be quick."

"Alright." she replied, letting him leave the table as she continued eating.

"Uh-huh? Uh-huh. Uh-huh..." Balin listened as Matt spoke about their big group project over the phone. "Hey, Loona?"

"Yep, buddy?" the hound spoke with a mouthful of chicken.

"Matt wants to know if I'm free to visit for a study-date after school tomorrow." he continued. "I just wanted to ask if I could. He only lives half an hour outside of town."

Loona had a long think about this. She did have the Grimoire handed to her from Stolas for this certain case only, and whenever else he felt like visiting Earth. So she figured this could be okay.

"If that's what you'd like, then okay." she finally shrugged. "I'll take you to wherever he may be afterwards."

Balin was delighted. "It's settled, Matt. I'll see you then." he smiled through the phone.

"Can't wait!" said Matt from the other side. "Oh, by the way, tell your new caretaker I said hello."

"Gotcha." Balin then giggled as he approached Loona. "Hey, Loona? Matt wants to say hello to you."

"What?!" his best friend exclaimed.

"W'sup, dude?" she chuckled hearing his reaction through the boy's phone, on speaker mode.

As his best friend stuttered, the sound of a faint was then heard before the phone hung itself up. Loona just chuckled a little more hearing that, and so did Balin as he sat down to eat once more.

Soon, finishing everything on his plate, the little yawning human went up to Loona, clambered onto her lap, and kissed her cheek good night, taking her by surprise.

"Good night, Loona." he hugged her. "I love you."

"Oh?" she said feeling stunned at first, but then warmly smiled as she hugged him back. "You ready to turn in for the night?"

Balin then nodded to her, letting go of her before she lightly licked some potato stuck to his nose, making him giggle as she put him down so he can brush his teeth and get ready for bed.

...

Later that night...

Around 9:30 that night, as Loona watched a little TV in the dark after finishing the dishes, before drifting off on the couch again, Balin slept like the baby Loona said he slept like.

Even with his cast still on his chest, it didn't seem to disturb his slumber whatsoever, despite some of the squirmy feelings.

But soon... he started having a nightmare.

...

NIGHTMARE:

It was another day at school for Balin.

He was in class with his friends as the teacher wrote up some notes on the chalkboard, ...along with the detentions for Buzz and Leni Carter.

Suddenly, he soon saw her write a line of words that made him gasp with confusion:
"How to kill Balin Johnson?"

This made him widen his eyes knowing something was now definitely off. And with Agent One writing that on the board, there definitely was.

Balin soon started feeling a bad pain in his head like he was having a seizure, or a stroke, or even a black-out. In which cases, he just died after getting a needle of poison injected into the hair of his head by Agent Two.

And none of the kids even noticed as the two agents stood their grounds as they cackled.

...

Suddenly, Balin woke up to find himself in a very bright light.

He then felt himself standing up on a stairway, and the wind blew him up the stairs to see they were made of clouds. And there was only one explanation he knew about that.

Yep. Balin was in Heaven. The good AND the bad, all at once.

"Uhh... where are you, Loona?" the boy quivered, as he was about to run back down the stairway.

But he couldn't go back, only forwards.

And as he moved forward, the steps started changing into three colours with each step he took.

BLUE - CHOIR - The angelic citizens of Heaven, like cupids and heaven-hounds.
YELLOW - CHERUB - The Heavenly version of I.M.P.
BLACK - EXORCIST - The army of Heaven, who kill any demon they see on the streets of Hell every year.

"No, no, no, no, no! LOONA! Help me!" shouted Balin.

As the colours continued from Blue, Yellow, Black, Blue, rinse and repeat, Balin hesitantly but finally reached the gates of Heaven... one the black step.

He was now an Exorcist angel.

As the guards changed him into his uniform, he was slammed down into the ranks, standing in a whole squadron of Exorcist angels, under the command of their leader, LUTE! The anointed general after Adam the First Man's untimely death.

"Alright B-words!" Lute said with a grim face. "Time to F some S up, once again! Starting with our new recruits old friends!" she then cackled pointing at Balin, making him gasp in horror.

The Exorcists flew down to Hell, and Balin's angel wings couldn't help but obey, like a drone to a queen bee, as they landed him right behind the I.M.P gang.

They were shown mourning the loss of him at a graveyard, bowing their heads in silence.

Lute appeared from behind Balin and gave him a carving knife to stab them with, before pushing him up to them.

The boy approached his friends from behind, VERY hesitantly, while Loona just dug up the grave in all her grief and tried shaking Balin awake in her mouth like he was a chew-toy.

"BALIN! BALIN! PLEASE WAKE UP!" she screamed with a muffled voice.

Before Balin could stab them, or even himself...

NIGHTMARE ENDS.

...

"Balin?! Balin?!"

Loona was actually shaking Balin for real, hearing him stir in his sleep from the couch, until he screamed awake in horror, nearly startling her too.

"Easy. Easy, kiddo." she soothed him. "You okay? Did you have another nightmare?"

Balin then looked up at her and gently nodded.

"Yes. Yes I did, Loona." he replied feeling scared.

As Loona sat down on the edge to calm him down, she suddenly felt a little something wet from the spot. She then pulled out the covers to see that his sheets were a little wet.

"Holy shit!" she softly exclaimed to herself. "That must've been one hell of a nightmare."

Balin then blushed and pulled the blanket back up feeling really embarrassed indeed.

"I'm so sorry, Loona." he shivered from the nightmare.

"Aww, hey." Loona pulled him in for a hug. "Shhhhh. It wasn't your fault, I told you, these things happen."

"They do?"

"Uh-huh."

"But... I didn't mean to wet the bed." he still flustered at the sight.

His pants might've even been wet against Loona's fur, but she didn't mean as she shushed the kid for a little bit, rubbing his back and even taking a quick picture of it without him knowing.

"Shhhhh." Loona said as Balin recalled his nightmare.

"I dreamt that I was dead, and that I became one of those evil angels that kills demons." he said. "And I... I was forced to..."

Loona then showed a saddened expression on her face, knowing where this one was going.

"You don't have to tell me, sweetheart." she gently hummed, swaying him back and forth. "It was just a nightmare. A dream that NEVER comes true."

"It doesn't?" Balin then looked up at her.

"No. And I know that it may cause you to do something like... this." she continued. "T-To get scared. But you have me now. And I say, that I understand."

"Did you used to be a bedwetter too?" Balin asked Loona, before putting a shocked expression on his face, feeling like that was so rude to ask. "Sorry I asked."

"No, no, no. You're okay." replied Loona with a reassuring tone. "I used to be a bedwetter. I also had panic attacks, stomach problems, sometimes I even yelled at a sundae bar."

"A sundae bar...?" Balin tilted his head.

"Hey, the sundae bar always yelled first." Loona smirked at the boy, before lifting him off the bed. "C'mon, how 'bout you help em pull off these sheets then put on some new boxers, eh?"

So Balin helped her do just that, and just as Loona hung them on a clothes line while Balin went into the bathroom to put on a new pair of undies, she couldn't help but send the photo to Via.

...

AT THE GOETIA MANSION...

Via was fast asleep in her bed, when she heard the phone go off on her bedside table.

She then picked it up to see the picture of his pissy bedsheets.

'Don't tell Meal about this.' *Shhh emoji / Laughing emoji*
said the text.

Seeing this photo all of a sudden made Via shocked, before she laid on the bed snickering out loud.

...

BACK AT LOONA'S APARTMENT...

As Balin was about to put on some new underwear, Loona came in and quickly soaked a rag over the sink.

"Just wait a sec." she told him. "Before you put some pants on, I have an idea on how to help."

Balin felt more embarrassed having heard that term, but then giggled as he felt Loona rub his genitalia with the wet rag.

"Hold still now." she said, focused on cleaning him. "This'll help you stimulate whenever you may pee again."

This ticklish sensation only lasted a few seconds before Loona stopped and allowed Balin to relax.

"Thank you, Loona." he panted.

"Don't mention this one." she replied with a wink.

Balin returned the wink with a thumbs-up, before asking if he could sleep with her again. ...But then Loona had another idea.

...

Following her back into his room, Loona laid down on his bed, curling up like an actual dog would, and patted on her backside for Balin to rest his head on.

"Are you sure?" he asked her.

"Anything for a hellhound's best friend." she smiled.

Returning the smile, Balin slowly hopped back onto the bed and rested his head onto Loona's backside like a pillow. As the warmth of her fur and thunder-like heartbeat melted him into relaxation mode, he looked up at her with a tired smile.

Loona then started giving his face and hair a few licks to help him sleep again. A normal thing for wolves or mother dogs to do with their pups.

And finally, she wrapped her tail around him as his blanket, gave him a small kiss on his forehead, and said her overdue 'good night' before falling asleep herself, still curled around him protectively for the rest of the night.
