Kim Possible: Clean Clean Slate
Chapter 1
AN: This is my interpretation of what happens after the season 4 episode Clean Slate.
School was just ending for the day at Middleton High and Kim Possible was getting her backpack out of her locker. It was just a day after she had gotten her memory back following the sitch with the Memory Recovery Machine (MRM). After she finally remembered that she and Ron were a couple and more than just best friends, she felt really bad for denying that she was Ron's significant other while all her other memories were coming back faster. She planned to make it up to him by going with him on a nice relaxing date in the park.
"Hey, Kim? You got a minute?" Kim heard a familiar female voice speak behind her.
She turned around to see Tara standing there with a nervous look on her face.
"Oh, hey, Tara," Kim said with a wave. "What's up?"
"Oh, um… I just wanted to apologize on behalf of the squad for looking so impatient with you yesterday," Tara said with a guilty look on her face. "Even though we didn't say anything, we did look more annoyed with you than we should have been."
"Oh, it's no big," Kim said with a wave of her hand.
"We just had no idea why you were getting almost every routine wrong yesterday," Tara continued. "It was like you suddenly forgot how to cheer."
Hearing the word 'forgot'," Kim sweat dropped slightly. "You could say that."
"Kim, I need to know," Tara said with a serious face. "Why were you acting so weird yesterday? If you tell me, I promise I won't tell Bonnie."
Kim sighed, "Alright, I'll hold you to that. Um… there was… a little accident on a mission that wiped out my memories. Like...full erase."
Hearing that made Tara gasp in horror.
"Oh, my gosh!" she said in shock. "Are you alright?!"
Kim nodded, "I am now, memories fully returned."
"Good," Tara said with a sigh of relief. "I guess that also explains why you were acting like you weren't dating Ron."
Kim smiled sheepishly, "Yeah, I felt kind of bad for that. After six months of dating, I nearly forgot just how much Ron means to me now. But thankfully, that was the final piece of my memory that I recovered. And I plan to make it up to Ron by taking him out on a romantic date at the park."
"Sounds good," Tara said with a bright smile. "Hope you two have fun."
Kim returned the smile, "Thanks, we will."
"Oh, and by the way, Kim," Tara spoke. "I'm also sorry for that look I gave you when you showed up late for practice yesterday. I'm usually not one to smirk like that. That's mostly Bonnie's thing. Sometimes I feel like she does something to my brain."
"That's okay," Kim responded. "We all know that you're the nicest girl in our squad."
"Thanks, Kim," Tara responded with a big smile. "I'm glad you think that despite me always looking like a sycophant to Bonnie."
"It's no big, Tara," Kim said assuringly as she put a hand on Tara's shoulder. "I know you and the other girls are not just Bonnie's followers. You got my back, and I got yours."
"Gee, thanks, Kim," Tara said in appreciation. "And I promise I won't tell Bonnie about this. I'm sure the last thing you want is for her to mock you for losing your memory, right?"
"You got that right," Kim groaned.
"But I will tell the rest of the squad just because I think they deserve an explanation," Tara informed.
Kim nodded, "Please and thank you."
"Well, I'll see you at the next practice, Kim," Tara spoke while walking away.
"Catch you later, Tara," Kim waved back as she walked in the other direction.
As Kim walked outside the entrance of the school, she saw a pleasant familiar face smiling at her. It was Ron.
"Hey, KP," Ron greeted with a wave.
"Hi, Ron," Kim waved back.
Kim and Ron walked over to each other and leaned in before sharing a kiss.
"So, KP, ready for our relaxing date in the park?" Ron asked with a playful smile.
Kim smiled back, "I sure am."
As soon as that was said, Kim and Ron started walking away from the school hand in hand.
To be continued…
AN: I decided to make this a two-chapter story. The next chapter might take a bit of inspiration from F86Sabre53's story After Clean Slate. So special thanks to him in advance.
