Weiss groaned in frustration, banging her head against the table in front of her. She was gifted at many things, yet finding a job did not seem to be one of them, and she hadn't realized just how many auxiliary expenses came with Huntsman education until her father had cut her off. She sighed and rolled her head to the side, her long white ponytail flopping over her shoulder as she did so. She gazed blankly at her cold burger, her appetite having disappeared in the past few minutes.

"Ah, cheer up Weiss, you'll find something soon!" Ruby said around a mouthful of food, her silver eyes glancing over Weiss in her duress.

Weiss glanced at Ruby and then sighed deeply. "I just don't get it!" she exclaimed, her voice shrill. "Just because I'm a full time student doesn't mean I can't handle a job! As soon as I mention I'm a student at Beacon, they suddenly end the conversation and say they'll call me back. But they never do!"

"Well," Yang chimed in as she threw a few fries in her mouth, "it's more like they're worried about having to hire someone again after the aspiring young Huntress gets herself killed."

"Psh," Weiss scoffed. "It's not like I can't take care of myself."

"They don't know that," Blake said without looking up from her scroll.

Weiss exhaled sharply and shoved her chair back as she stood up and began to pace around the small burger joint, arms crossed. As she roved, her eyes landed upon a bulletin board where several flyers were tacked up haphazardly. A colorful sheet with a few phone number strips already torn off the bottom piqued her interest. As she moved closer to inspect it, she saw a bolded message accompanied by cartoon animal characters.

GRAND REOPENING of the new and improved FREDDY FAZBEAR'S PIZZERIA. Seeking team members in ALL POSITIONS! Join the Fazbear family in our entertainment, culinary, maintenance, or security division. FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE.

Weiss thought for a moment. This looks rather childish. But if I want to have money again, then I should consider it.

She tore off one of the phone numbers. Weiss hoped that the flier hadn't been up for too long, as she was sure that many other job seekers would find the advertisement appealing, and she needed all the edge she could get.

"Found something?" Ruby asked as Weiss sat back down. "I think so," Weiss said as she saved the phone number into her scroll. "I'm going to call them when we get back to Beacon. They said on their ad that they have flexible hours, so maybe I can get weekend and night shifts. That is, if I can get the job."

Weiss sat at her desk in team RWBY's dorm. Yang, Ruby and Blake had gone to the library to study so that Weiss could conduct her phone call without distraction. Her leg jittered, channeling her nervous energy. She pressed the dial button. The phone rang several times before Weiss got through.

A very bored-sounding woman picked up. "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. What can I help you with?"

Weiss quickly swallowed and began the introduction she had rehearsed. "Hello, my name is Weiss Schnee. I saw your ad and I wanted to apply for a job at the reopened location in Vale." Even though the woman on the other end couldn't see her, a forced smile crossed Weiss' face.

"Uh huh. Do you have a criminal record?" the woman asked with possibly even less enthusiasm than before.

Weiss paused for a moment, taken aback by the women's forwardness, then said incredulously, "Of course not! It wouldn't fit a Huntress to be a criminal, now would it?"

"Oh, you're a Huntress, huh? You should do great in the security department then."

Weiss blinked a few times. She was so surprised by what she had just heard that she wasn't sure she had understood the woman. "Does that mean I got the job?" She asked apprehensively, suddenly very skeptical of their apparent lack of screening of job candidates.

"Yeah. Opening's two Saturdays from now. When are you available to work shifts?"

Weiss was starting to smile for real. "Weekends and weeknights, whatever you have available!" Weiss managed to get out in a mostly composed tone, both because she was still slightly dumbfounded by the speed at which the interview had gone and because she had become very excited.

"Spectacular," the woman said as dryly as ever. "We will be in contact with you to schedule training. Bring a valid copy of your interim Huntsman license and your weapon with you."

"Thank you so, so much!" Weiss exclaimed into her Scroll.

"Uh huh. Bye."

Her scroll let out a small beep, and there was a few moment's silence in the dorm. Then Weiss jumped out of her seat and flung open the door, running to the library to tell the good news to the rest of team RWBY. Yes! I'll stick it to Father AND start getting some money again! And Ruby can't make fun of my "high falutin'-ness" anymore now that I've got a job. Me, a Schnee, working a minimum wage job! Father will be so mad. As she rounded the corner and relished in her newfound independence, Weiss ignored the nagging little voice at the back of her mind that was yelling about how shady that phone call had been - seriously, why would she need her weapon to work security at a pizza joint? After all, it's not like a children's party restaurant could pose a mortal danger.
