[A/N: This is half of a first-person POV 2-parter originally posted December 4th, 2024 on AO3. It's a lot shorter than my previous one-shots but it's still just as sweet. Enjoy!]
Time for Bed: Part 1 (Klaus' POV)
The hours passed me by like a flash of lightning as I turned page after page, filling my head with all the knowledge I could. But it was getting late and I was very tired.
My eyes grew heavier and heavier with every paragraph I read. And before I knew it, the blank void of sleep consumed me.
I do not know how long I was asleep in the library for but I later awoke to the loving sensation of being scooped up. And I instantly knew these were the arms of my sister.
As I laid my head on her shoulder, I unconsciously mumbled the last thing I read.
"Turmeric is a natural antibiotic."
Veruca gigged. "Come on, you adorable little nerd. You've got a bed to be getting to."
As she carried me, I enjoyed the gentle motion of her steps. And as soon as they stopped, I felt the warm engulf of my bedsheets. I comfortably curled up in them and quickly dozed off but not before feeling the brief touch of my sister's lips on my head.
"Sweet dreams, my sweet baby brother." Veruca cooed.
