Chapter 3: Meeting Sallie
After finally getting to meet Jax, Lin gently puts the pup back down on the ground right before Blitzo comes walking up with a casual smile on his face. Joe looked up at Blitzo and immediately went and greeted him.
"Well hiya there Blitz! Great to see ya here again!" Joe said as he firmly shook Blitzo's hand
"Fancy seeing you too big boy, I see you just met the kid." Blitzo said
"Your kid's a fine fella i'll tell ya that." Joe smiled before he released the handshake
"Why hello there Blitz! Please do tell me, how did you get around to adopting another hellhound in your hands, especially a young and sweet one like Jax?" Lin asked
"*Chuckles!* Oh I didn't adopt him, I mean he is adopted officially but it wasn't me this time." Blitzo denied
"Oh? Well then who adopted him?" Lin asked
"That would be me." A familiar angsty feminine voice answered
Right on cue, Loona came walking up and stood right next to Jax with a hand on her hip. Both Lin and Joe looked at Loona with slight disbelief on their faces.
"Huh?" Joe said tilting his mustache a little
"Umm Young lady, are you saying that you-..."
"Yep, I adopted him alright. He's my son." Loona answered Lin mid question as she wrapped her tail around Jax
"That's right yall, Loona here is the Mommy!" Millie confirmed for Loona
"...Well, I'll be damned." Lin said in astonishment with her arms crossed
"Pretty big news to ya, isn't it? My Loonie here is the one who adopted the wee widdle puppy and that makes me a proud-ass Grandfanther from now on." Blitzo said with a boastful grin
"I have an awesome new family!" Jax said cheerfully backing up everyone's claims
With that, Lin walks up to Loona with a warm smile on her face before gently taking one of her hands and holding it.
"Well young lady, I never thought of you as the Mama type, but ah have to say that you have such a sweethearted little hound. Congratulations on your adoption." Lin praised Loona
"Yeah, I'm just doing the right thing that's all." Loona said in a plain tone
"If you ever need any Mothering advice, you can ask me anytime. I'm always be happy to help." Lin offered before she let go of Loona's hand
While Lin was speaking with Loona, Joe and Blitzo faced each other again.
"So you got yourself a grandkid. That is big news indeed, Blitz. You must be very proud." Joe said giving a playful nudge on Blitzo's arm
"Oh You have no idea." Blitzo smiled
Suddenly...
"OOF! Fuck me!" Moxxie exclaimed followed by a light crashing noise
Everyone all looked back towards the I.M.P van to see Moxxie had accidentally fallen down on the dirt while carrying some of the heavy packed suitcases out of the van.
"*Chuckles* Excuse me folks." Blitzo said before walking away to assist Moxxie with the luggage
Meanwhile Millie on the other hand noticed that someone was missing.
"Say yall, anyone know where Sallie May at?" Millie asked
"Oh, your sister is back behind the house fixing the fence, Millie. She's been busy all morning." Lin answered
"Damn rustic wood got chewed up by the weather." Joe added
"I see. Say Loona, is it alright if I take Jax with me for a while?" Millie asked Loona
"Sure, be my guest." Loona granted as she removed her tail from around Jax
"Come along with me Jax, i'll show you to my sister." Millie smiled as she took Jax by the hand and walked him away towards the farmhouse leaving the group behind to get settled in
Meanwhile
We cut to Sallie May who was just behind the farmhouse on the other side of the ranch repairing part of the wooden fence that was surrounding the property. She was busy and hard at work as she hummed a cheerful tune to herself while hammering away on the structure with an open toolbox sitting next to her.
WHACK, WHACK, WHACK, WHACK, WHACK!*
Sallie pounded a nail fully into the wood before reaching down and grabbing another nail from the toolbox. She positioned her next nail on the fence and brought her hammer back ready to strike it when a familiar voice made her freeze.
"Yoohoo! Hey Sallie!"
Sallie immediately lowered her hammer and turned around before getting instantly happy when she saw who was calling her name while walking up to her.
"Gasp! MILLIE!" Sallie exclaimed cheerfully as she dropped her hammer and ran up to greet her sister with a big hug
"Oh Sis! I am super happy to see you once again!" Millie exclaimed as she tightly embraced Sallie
"*Giggles!* I am happy as well, even though we see each other on occasional times."
Sallie said as she released the hug. That's when Sallie took notice Jax standing next to Millie and immediately fell into sheer awe.
"Awwww, now who's this little chew toy right here?" Sallie smiled as she knelt down to Jax with her eyes locked on to him
"*Giggles* Sallie, I'd like you to say hello to this handsome boy. His name is Jax." Millie happily introduced
"Huh, Jax. That's his name?" Sallie asked
"Yep, he's the newest member of the family and i've been dying to introduce him to you. He's a young and sweet little hellhound. Mom and Dad already met him." Millie said
"Well I've seen hellhound puppies like once or twice in my life, but this one here is mighty adorable as a muffin. This day just got even better." Sallie said as she gave Jax a friendly pat on his head
"Jaxy, i'd like you to meet my sister." Millie introduced
"The name's Sallie May and it's a pleasure to meet you young fella." Sallie introduced herself as she held out her hand for Jax to shake
Jax however was caught off by Sallie's deepish masculine sounding voice that he found was not too fitting with her feminine appearance as he became a little concerned. Although it wasn't Jax's fault to think this way since he was still young and innocent and this was his very first time in his life to meet a trans demon like Sallie May.
"Ummm, are you okay Miss?" Jax asked
"Huh? Why you ask kiddo? I'm fine as a flower." Sallie asked
"Your umm..voice sounds a little strange, like you sound more like a boy." Jax pointed out
Sallie got a little offended by Jax's statement.
"Uhh, Well I beg your pardon kiddo! I'll have you know that I am not a boy at all, I am 100% fem-"
"Sallie! Remember he's just a kid, please don't raise your voice at him. It's his first time to see someone different like you." Millie reminded
"Ohhh right. HeHe, sorry about that." Sallie apologized
"WAIT! DID YOU SWALLOW SOMEONE!?" Jax panicked in his confused childish mindset
"Shhh, Calm down Jaxy, everything's alright. My sister here didn't eat anyone." Millie assured as she rested her hands on the pup's shoulders
"Yeah little buddy, this is just how I normally sound. There's aint anything wrong with me, I know I sound pretty different than most ladies you're used to. Please excuse my little hostility." Sallie assured with a smile
Jax calmed down a little as Sallie held out her hand again.
"Now then, where were we." Sallie said waiting for Jax to return the gesture
Jax gave a thin smile as he took Sallie's hand and gently shook it.
"It's...nice to meet you too Sallie, are you really Auntie Millie's sister?" Jax asked
"You bet I am, puppers. Not only am I Millie's sister, I am her super bestie. Ain't that right Mills?" Sallie said
"Yep, we're extreme besties." Millie grinned
Sallie then stood back up to face Millie.
"Well Millie, I appreciate you so much for bringing this cute little fuzzball to our home, I am almost jealous of you." Sallie said
"*Giggles* I'm sure you are, he is very cute and fluffy and he has a big heart. I instantly fell in love with him since day one before Loona adopted him." Millie said as she lovingly embraced Jax from behind
"He's adopted!? Well I sure as Hell can't wait to hear your story on how that happened, i'll bet it's very interesting." Sallie said in excitement
"Well it's a very long story Sallie, but I gotta warn you that it's more sad than interesting." Millie frowned
"Hmmm, I see." Sallie understood as she had her hands on her hips
"You will hear the story later at dinner, but first why don't show Jax here the rest of the farm?" Millie suggested
"Now that's a sweet ass idea." Sallie happily agreed
Sallie then grabbed hold of Jax by his waist and lifted him up onto her shoulders.
"Come on young puppy, up you go. Allow me to show you around." Sallie smiled
With that, Millie and Sallie started to walk around the rest of the ranch area with Jax riding comfortably on Sallie's shoulders.
"This place feels more peaceful and quiet than the big city." Jax pointed out as he had never been outside of Imp City before
"Indeed it is, I hope you enjoy your stay kiddo." Sallie said
