Double update. Don't forget to read chapter 24.
Epilogue
Awareness returned to him slowly in small increments.
There was a familiar, comforting warmth cradling his body. He knew it should not have been warm, because he had not been warm in a long time, but it was.
When his eyes opened, it was to glowing green the colour of Death's magic.
He smiled.
"Welcome back, my love," Harry greeted him.
Slowly, gathering what little strength he had regained, Theodore raised his hand to touch Harry's face, thumb swiping over his cheek.
"You did not have to argue with Lynea for me," he rasped.
He could not recall the words, but he remembered watching Harry argue about authority and choices with a being that had looked like Lynea but oddly distorted and a sentient blue flame that had hovered above her shoulder.
Harry laughed. "It was necessary, I assure you. He didn't want to let you go, because Lynea liked you so much. At least Iqnû was on my side."
Theodore hummed, allowing his hand to fall back to his side and his eyes to close. He was tired, still, though he knew, rationally, that his body did not require to rest anymore.
"Still no regrets?" Harry asked softly.
"No." He smiled. "Never."

The original brainrot that inspired this fanfic only encompassed what is now Part 1 – but then it ran away from me and here we are, almost 60k words later…
I … will go into HP hibernation mode now (currently writing for a different fandom on ao3) and then hopefully reemerge to continue Like Fading Memories before I start on another brainrot. 😴
Anyway, thank you all for reading and leaving reviews! Love and appreciate them all. 💕
