Hello All! It is the weekend, which means a couple more updates for you! This directly follows the events of Chapter 3.

(Percy pov)

"What are their names?" I asked.

"Layah and Robin Henderson," Nico replied. "The satyrs are planning to take them to camp tomorrow, but they've sensed a powerful monster nearby. We think that it's coming for them. Can you guys help?"

"Sure," Annabeth said. "Do you know where they might be?"

"The satyrs report that they're at the nearby middle school. It's quite close to Goode, so you should be able to find them after school," Hazel answered. "Oh, and here." She handed Annabeth and Percy each a small Celestial Bronze sphere, each one about the size of their thumbnails.

"What is it?" I asked.

"One of Leo's new inventions," Nico introduced. "He worked with Calypso and Grover and managed to contain an empathy link inside the sphere as well as a signal flare, connecting it to the two satyrs. They have the other two, and if they're in trouble, as long as you have the sphere on you, you receive a distress signal in your mind. It's sort of like telepathy."

"Cool," I said, slipping it into my pocket.

"Percy, we all know you're terrible at keeping track of things unless it's Riptide, which, by the way, always returns to you. There's a contraption that turns it into a bead-you can string it on your camp necklace," Nico sighed, giving me a side eye.

I shot them a look of mock offense but did as he said. In a few seconds, Annabeth was also wearing the celestial bronze bead.

"Thanks," I said, engulfing the children of the lord of the underworld in a big hug.

Nico pushed me away after about ten seconds. "Okay, we'll be going now. Don't get killed!"

With that happy thought, he shadow-traveled away with Hazel.

I pecked Annabeth on the cheek. "Can we not go back to watching documentaries?"

"Of course," Annabeth replied, returning the gesture. "That's because it's time for you to do your homework, Seaweed Brain."

I groaned. "Annnnnaaaabbbbeeeettthhhh..."

(Julinn pov, the next day)

I had to find a way to get Percy and Annabeth to reveal their relationship to the whole school (insert evil cackling) without them tracing it back to me. That was why, during my free period, when I COULD BE READING, I was instead walking down the hallways to talk to my least favorite people in the whole wide world:

Chloe Sircman and Evan Hollard. The school slut and the playboy jock. Bleaugh.

I stifled my resentment by thinking, "Today is the day that everyone will know about Percabeth!"

"Hey," I said, sidling up to Chloe and her equally slutty friends. "You want Percy Jackson, is that correct? Well, I have just the plan for you..."

After success in Part A of the plan, I walked over to Evan and his idiot football buddies. "I know you're trying to make Annabeth Chase yours, and I have an idea you might like to try..."

Part B complete. *insert more evil cackling*

(Annabeth pov)

"Hey Julinn!" I greeted her as we met up after our free period, walking towards our Architecture class.

"Annabeth!" Julinn exclaimed. "Hi!"

"So, what were you doing in your free period?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing much...just finishing my book is all," Julinn replied. "And where were you?" Her voice dropped to a quiet whisper. "With Percy?"

I blushed furiously. "N-no! Why would you think that?" I lied.

Julinn saw through me in an instant. "You totally were. Those red lips tell stories, dear~"

"Shut up," I muttered.

(later)

I was walking out of the school, a few paces behind everyone else to refrain from getting trampled, when I felt something go off in my head. A buzzing was emanating from the celestial bronze bead around my neck.

Help!I heard a satyr's bleating voice cry in my mind. It's a manticore! Running for our lives now-kinda lost in the school though! Help! If you could be here and stabby-stab then that would be great!

I immediately broke out into a sprint. I saw Percy do the same out of the corner of my eye, yelling to his friends, "SORRY, GOTTA GO! YEAH, I'LL SEE YOU GUYS TOMORROW! BYEEEEE!"

We locked eyes for barely a second and were about to turn and run down the street when suddenly, we were stopped in our tracks.

A blond jock with dull blue eyes stepped in front of me, grinning in a way that I guessed was supposed to be seductive, but was nothing compared to Percy's trademark smirk.

Percy, who was a meter away, was being accosted by a girl in a skimpy cheerleading outfit, running her gaudy acrylic nails down his arms. A flare of jealousy lit up inside me.

"Hey, beautiful," Blond Boy said. "What do you say we go on a date?"

I looked to the side and gave Percy a pointed glare. These stupid mortals were slowing us down! Trying to get away from them ourselves would be ineffective-and beating up mortals, unfortunately, takes more than a few seconds. Two demigod lives were at stake-this was no time to worry about a bet with Leo.

In a split second we had switched places.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!"

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

We yelled at the same time. I slapped the slut in the face.

"So what? You guys dating or something?" I heard the jock sneer

I swallowed my pride and turned to look at where Percy was glaring at the other boy. Leo was about to be very, very rich. "As a matter of fact, we are! Sayonara, idiots!"

Percy and I immediately started running again, falling in beside each other as we sprinted down the sidewalk.

"Ugh, Leo is never going to let us live this down," Percy complained.

"We got away from them and that's all that matters," I shot back. "The important thing is that we saved time."

"I'm going to punch Blondie in the face tomorrow," Percy said.

"Can I help?"

Despite the circumstances, we laughed.

We ran up to the middle school, where two satyrs and a pair of twin demigods burst out of the double doors, other students running and fleeing from the scene.

A manticore was closing in, shooting spikes that were barely dodged. I recognized that manticore...

"Dr. Thorn!" I realized. "Ugh...why couldn't he have stayed dead longer?"

"He definitely needs a good dose of killing," Percy agreed.

"I'll take the front and protect the others, you take the back!" I yelled.

I dashed in between Dr. Thorn and the fleeing demigods and satyrs, deflecting a spike off the blade of my knife.

"Remember me?" I taunted.

Dr. Thorn cackled. "You won't live this time, Annabeth Chase. Prepare to die-aack-uhhh-"

He crumbled to dust before my eyes. Percy pulled Riptide out of the manticore's back, brushed monster dust off his shoulder, and kissed me.

Screw Leo and his stupid bet.

The next day, the whole student body knew about Percy and Annabeth. The stories were only confirmed when the couple exchanged small kisses in the hallways, leading to much cat-calling and whistling.

(the weekend)

"Pay up, losers!" Leo said, holding out his hands. Percy and I each deposited a grand total of twenty drachmas in his hands begrudgingly.

"It was for a noble cause," Percy sighed dramatically. "Of course, you wouldn't understand, Leo..."

Leo cackled. "Drachmas are drachmas!"

I turned to Nico and Hazel. "The demigods?"

"Claimed by Venus and Aphrodite. How one is Roman and one is Greek, I don't know. Chiron's trying to figure it out," Nico replied. "They're all in one piece, thanks to you guys."

"I think we work better as a team," Percy said against my skin as he nuzzled the crook of my neck. He sighed happily, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling us close.

Aaaand that's a wrap! Julinn never got caught, of course :) My brain was fried when I was writing this sooo if it sucks then that's that. Gonna be updating other stories too.
