WS: The Naruto Chronicles – The Misadventures in a Marvelous World.

I'm not gonna lie, I wrote this in the moment and felt a little rushed. The reason I even wrote this at all was because Marvel has gained some traction thanks to the game "Marvel Rivals" and I decided to write something down before the feeling goes away. I've already set up the universe and it is a composite universe that uses the MCU timeline but also other Marvel movies fitting for this particular situation and a bit of the Marvel Comics thrown into. Naruto is the main character, Naruto is OC and AU, please review and tell me what you think.

The following chapter takes place in the (2012) Uncanny Avengers Issue #6. This is an introduction between Naruto and Thor, along with an antagonist that might be featured again in some movie crossovers.

From the pages of the Naruto Chronicles.

"It's complicated to describe the earlier feelings of what I felt from back then. Make no mistake, I can remember everything that happened because I can look deep into my memories and see them playout whenever I want. Yet to really remember that feeling all over again was where things got complicated. When I encountered the Norse God of Thunder in the 11th Century, I remember feeling wary because it was in the 6th Century when I aided Merlin the Wizard against the Olympian God Pluto. And even before that, I encountered other godlike beings who were malevolent. I had some serious mixed feelings about this encounter.

Though to say it was an encounter was a lie. Thor Odinson, the Norse God of Thunder, didn't know who I was, and I didn't even know there was a Norse God. The only reason I even knew in the first place was because he said so. He just barged through the door of that tavern I was in, proudly proclaimed himself as the Norse God of Thunder and challenged anyone brave enough to beat him in a game of drink. Ha! I'll admit, Thor didn't come off as self-centered as the other godlike beings I met. There was also the fact that thanks to my ability to sense people's hearts, I detected no malice in Thor's heart. But I could tell the Norse God liked to toot his own horn.

It was only when the twentieth guy dropped after his tenth drink is when I thought "what the hell!?" and made my way over for the challenge. Little did I know, things were going to get a lot crazier than I expected."

Pt. 1 – Where Gods and Men Clash.

.

[Scandinavia 1013 A.D.]

It never would have occurred to Thor Odinson that he was vain, arrogant and foolhardy. It was unknown to him even now as the reason why he had come to Midgard was to drink and gain the attention from the denizens of Midgard. And how did he gain that attention, coming to a tavern in a small remote village and declaring himself THE Norse God of Thunder. The wonderous smells of cooked meat and the bitter taste of ale reminded him of the mess hall on Asgard. And with that, Thor openly challenged anyone sitting in the tavern in a contest of drink. And many accepted, at least a dozen men sought to win, and all fell after their tenth drink.

From a hollowed-out ram's horn, Thor Odinson drank the bitter taste of ale from the cup with such gusto that it slathered and dribbled all around his chin. It would seemed to have looked like a waste, yet it may as well be the hundredth one yet. With a bellow, Thor breathed loudly and laughed with his cup raised and empty. "Another victory!" Thor proudly said. "Doth none challenge the mighty Thor in another game of drink?"

It had been another victory of course. The men and women who occupied the tavern had been there to see countless men, young and old, accept the newcomer's challenge, and perhaps the twentieth time, another had fallen in a humiliating defeat.

That is until another brought himself to the giant's table and plopped down onto the wooden seat.

"Thy accepts your challenge, Thor Odinson. Thy name is Naruto."

Thor heard the name, found it peculiar but nodded. "A toast to a new challenger then?" Thor raised his ram horn mug, but Naruto shook his head. He pointed at Thor.

"Yee speak bravely to challenge the mortal men, yet thou have yet tasted real ale." Naruto told the Norse God.

'Oh?' Thor thought with amusement, watching the newcomer as he presented a small wooden barrel and placed it onto the table with a hard thump. And from the empty ram's horn he poured a bright blue liquid.

"Our game of drink shall come from this, and we shall see who can handle their ale better." Naruto challenged. He offered the cup; Thor grinned with a heartfelt laugh and took the first sip.

The moment the ale touched his lips, Thor's eyes widened. He stopped mid-sip and recoiled from the taste, "Odin's Beard! What manner of concoction assaults thine tongue!" Thor felt his tongue tingle, a slow growing burn on the tongue before feeling the putrid ale make its way down his stomach. It was completely different than that of Midgard brewed ale.

"Tis an ale not made on the surface of Midgard, a drink that uses special ingredients where only the most savage of warrior's drink." Naruto explained, grinning like a madman and chugged his own mug. "Has thou reconsidered, Yee have yet to finish your first drink?"

Thor heard the whispered, the giggling of women and the chuckles of men and his face flushed. "Nay, Thor Odinson doth not back away from a challenge!" Thor claimed and drank the ale down.

It was by the third mug that Thor found himself swaying, the both of them.

"Yee doth not come from Midgard?" Thor asked, though the flush on his face said the concoction was working.

"Nay, I came to Midgard by accident and have since called it thine home." Naruto informed, swaying and blinking a little.

"Then I welcome thee, a new friend!" Thor hollered with a laugh.

Despite being able to talk and have their thoughts clear enough, the two were oblivious to understand that something or someone had approached them. Men and women backed away in fear, whispering a monster or some giant. It was too late for both Naruto and Thor to do anything when the next thing the two knew was the Norse God being backhanded so hard, he flew right into Naruto and together they flew through the tavern and crashed into a clearing in the village.

Naruto heard the squealing of pigs and animals all around him. The duo crashed into an animal pen with muck and mud covering them. The stink made Naruto's nose wrinkle. Bringing himself up to his feet Naruto already saw that Thor was too.

"Coward! You strike with great force when your opponent's back is turned to you!"

Naruto heard Thor call out angrily. The Norse God shook off the attack and drew his giant axe.

"Why are you attacking us?" Naruto questioned, glaring at the giant man dressed in dangerous looking armor. There were a few people Naruto could think of who wanted to have revenge against him, but that was few. As for Thor, who could say.

Said giant stopped momentarily. He looked at Naruto with a curious eye and a brow raised. "Ah. I had not expected to see you so soon, Traveler. This bodes poorly for what could have been our eventual meeting." He said to himself, acknowledging something oblivious to the blonde but not the man himself. "Begone. This battle is between the Asgardian and I."

Traveler? What the hell did that even mean? Naruto shook his head, straightening himself and punched his open palm. "No. You attacked my new drinking buddy Thor. And I take friendship very seriously."

Thor found himself smiling, he was moved by the blonde's words. "I thank thee, Naruto." Thor thanked him and gripped Jarnbjorn tightly from its wooden handle.

The giant muttered to himself, cursing the moment he found himself in.

"Thor, will you lend me your strength for a moment. Raise your axe to me." Naruto whispered, taking advantage of the moment.

The Norse God was confused by Naruto's request but did not hesitate to raise his axe up to his newly made friend. Silently Naruto pressed his hand onto the cool metal surface of Jarnbjorn.

'Shinra Banshō Dōka-no-Jutsu – All-Covering Forests and Ten Thousand Things Technique.'

A Jutsu that enabled Naruto to absorb the characteristics and properties of whatever he touched, be it an object, material or substance. And when he touched the giant axe head of Jarnbjorn, the tempered Asgardian steel that was Uru, came to life and spread itself like a layer all over the blonde's body. Naruto's hair, his skin and his clothes transformed into the metal itself. And all its properties and characteristics were Naruto's to use freely.

Quick to accept that this situation would not change, nor would he retreat regardless of who the blonde was or what his fate would be in the future, En Sabah Nur gave a baleful look. A glare where his sunken eyes looked like two dark pits before an ominous glow lit from inside. "Then your fate will be the same as these adulation-seeking gods."

En Sabah Nur delivered onto them two powerful optic rays of crimson light.

Naruto reacted quicker than Thor, stepping in front of the Asgardian and quickly crossed his arms together. Naruto felt the beams hit his metallic skin. There was such force to them it dragged him back a foot or two from where he initially stood. Powerful as the eye beams were, Naruto's metallic skin did not yield to the rays. Thor was astounded yet he knew he needed to act as well. Thor made a leap, jumping high with Jarnbjorn raised overhead in a mighty swing.

"Have at thee!"

En Sabah stopped his rays and saw Thor jump just as he made his downward swing.

The sharp edge of Jarnbjorn didn't even make a scratch against the giant's armor much to Thor's shock. En Sabah smirked though scowled quickly, "you are not fit to survive!" the man headbutted Thor, creating a shockwave that was felt for hundreds of miles. It would have displaced the Norse God's spine should he have taken another blow. Naruto was quick to catch the Norse God. Naruto turned one half of his body to rock powder and summoned more of the material to cushion Thor and himself.

It did little to stop the momentum. They flew through the animal pen and stopped near the cliffs where the village was built on.

Thor felt blood run down his forehead.

"Can you still fight?" Naruto asked, turning himself back into the metal completely.

"Aye." Thor said, nodding.

Though in truth, as much as he was angry, there was a small voice of reason that told the Norse God that this foe wasn't like other enemies he'd come across. And though it pained Thor to admit it, this demon was stronger than him – especially if Jarnbjorn could not cut through his armor.

"Thor, we need to take this fight elsewhere or innocent people will be caught in our battle." Naruto advised, wanting the Norse God to understand that in the short moments they fought this stranger who attacked them, they already tore through one whole section of the village.

Thor's rage subsided somewhat, seeing the village homes damaged just from the shockwaves. It wounded his honor for forgetting that this battle would trickle with the blood of innocence if he did not heed his new friend's words. "A plan then."

"I got one. If we get close us, I can transport us somewhere else remote without worry."

"Close." Thor chuckled, wiping the blood from his brow. He gripped his axe tightly, turning his knuckles white. "Very well, we will go with this plan."

Once they saw the giant man approach, Naruto and Thor both made a dash towards him.

En Sabah unleashed another optical blast, Naruto took the hit and shielded Thor to make his way around. The Asgardian sped quickly, making his way and attacking from the side with another swing of Jarnbjorn. The sharp edge delivered small sparks against the brute's armor. En Sabah scoffed, ready to backhand the Prince of Asgard but Thor ducked. With the optic beams stopping, Naruto charged forward. Annoyed En Sabah gave a backhanded strike to the Traveler but was caught. Thor lodged the axe into a small crevice that enabled movement.

Wordlessly, Naruto teleported all three of them to another remote place where no people would be harmed.

What neither Naruto nor Thor knew at the time was that hovering above the village was a pyramid structure cloaked with stealth technology that made it invisible. And within the structure, a fallen Pharaoh saw the battle play out moments ago right up until the trio disappeared.

"Unexpected." The man mused.

This is where I'll stop and hope it gets your attention.

If you don't understand what is happening right now, Naruto and Thor are fighting the Mutant Apocalypse, and it takes place in the 11th Century. Naruto has been alive since the 6th Century and has encountered a lot of things. Naruto is strong and Thor is too, however, taking a chronological order these two are actually at their weakest because they aren't at their full potential and growth yet. Even in the Comic where this scene is based on tells that Thor has no chance against Apocalypse because he is enhanced with Celestial technology which gives him an edge even over the Patheon of Gods because the Celestials are stronger than them.

I know the chapter is short, but the real fight is gonna happen and some events may end up changing. If you feel I shouldn't change Jarnbjorn then please review and tell me. I do not mind criticism as long as it is in a respectful way.

Thank you and please review, and NO FLAMES!
