Everyone is born. But not everyone is born the same. Some will grow to be fashion designers, bakers or chefs. Some will become a salad chef. One way or another though, every human being is unique. Most parents believe their children are the most beautiful creatures ever to grace the planet. Others are too strict.
Two parents named King Rhoam and Queen Sunset Shimmer had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name was Princess Zelda. They had made a promise to keep her safe. They wrapped her in bubble wrap and put her in a car seat made of thick leaves and vines. They also put a helmet on her. Their royal white horse, Storm, took them back to the castle. Once they got there, they watched her day and night with a sharp eye. When Sunset Shimmer saw Zelda write her name in spinach, she was disgusted. "Oh my gosh, Zelda! Look what you did." Just then, Zelda said her very first word, which was "Sorry".
"Sorry's not gonna cut it!" said Sunset, furiously. "Ew! Now I have to wash you! Ew, ew, ew!" She washed Zelda in the sink. "Babies! You have to do everything for them," she muttered.
By the time Zelda was two, she had learned how to wash herself. As time went by, she developed a sense of style. She wore a white dress, a white ribbon and white shoes. She looked like a little princess. One of the parents would watch her at a time while the other one took care of some royal business. Zelda wasn't allowed to do anything, and she hated it. While Rhoam went to work on his royal duties, Sunset Shimmer watched over Zelda, on account of they wouldn't get a babysitter. Not because they couldn't afford one. They could, but they didn't trust any babysitter to keep their kid safe. So when it was time for breakfast, Sunset Shimmer would give Zelda mashed pepper baby food. She never trusted her to learn to swallow regular food. Zelda also always drank milk or water. By the time she was four, Zelda had learned how to read from a private tutor which was a purple unicorn named Twilight Sparkle. One day, she got up her courage and asked her father for something she desperately wanted.
