Two archaeologists from Singapore, Gerald and Ernice had entered an ancient pyramid located somewhere in Egypt. Equipped with flashlights as a way to navigate them through the dark tunnels and hallways, they carefully observed their surroundings, prepared for any possible outcomes.

This pyramid was shrouded by various old stories of the curses and bad omens that will befell anyone who dares to disturb the resting place of an unnamed Pharaoh. But even these rumours were not enough to stop the brave archaeologists to venture inside the pyramid.

"This is the Queen's chamber. I think Pharaoh's chamber must be somewhere nearby" Gerald stated.

"We need to keep checking our surroundings so we can find the entrance" Ernice added.

However, as the duo were still wandering inside the Queen's chamber, Ernice could felt something just passed behind her. But when she turned behind...

There was nothing in there.

"Ernice, what's wrong?" Gerald asked out of concern.

"I don't know...I felt like there's someone approaching..." Ernice tried to control her fear.

"I think it's your imagination" Gerald said. "Come on, let's go before-"

"RAAAAAAAARRGH!"

Unfortunately, a mummy with sharp fangs emerged from the shadows, ambushing the duo and jumpscaring the audience inside the cinema.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Matcha screamed in fear as she used the extra-large popcorn bag to hide her face. Azuki however kept watching the horror movie as she enjoyed eating her strawberry sundae.

The green-haired young teacher knew it, watching a horror movie during the weekend was totally a very bad idea after all. From all of the movies currently airing in the cinema, why "Pharaoh's Curse" - a blockbuster horror movie was chosen by Azuki? She would rather watch "Countless Days", even if Akari kept telling her that it was a very bad romance story.

"RUN!"

The archaeologists somehow managed to escape from the mummy.

Matcha only wished if the movie could reach the ending quickly. She only wanted to go home and go to sleep peacefully.

...

"Couldn't believe it! Pharaoh's Curse is one of the best horror movies I ever watched!" Azuki was excited.

As the horror movie was finally over, Azuki and Matcha walked together towards the cinema's main entrance.

While Azuki truly enjoyed it, the experience however wasn't the same for Matcha. As a person who highly disapproved horror genre stuffs, The latter even couldn't stop shivering due to her best friend just forced her to watch something she despised so much.

"You know what? I wish if there are more horror movies like that ones to come into the cinemas in the future!"

"I hate horror movies" Matcha pouted.

Talking about horror movies will only ruined her mood even more. Ignoring Azuki, she then pulled out her phone, checking for the new messages or recent posts from the social media.

"Huh?"

Unfortunately, most of the posts that appeared on her phone screen were no more than trending horror movies to scare the unsuspecting users.

"#Psychosis is scary, but the sequel is more scarier #Psychosis2:Nightmare" - Kaito

"Imagine if there's a tree demon who dwells in your backyard #Bloodroot" - Zunko

"This movie is a proof that the bottom of the sea are the worst place to go #TerrorOfTheDepths" - Yukari

"After watching this movie, I don't know if I could trust the dolls anymore #BloodyKiko" - Akari

"Living Planet who devours anything? Count me in! #Wraith" - Rion

Matcha finally had enough. The only thing she wanted to do now was going home and go to sleep.

But who knows if sweet dreams was not even an option for her tonight.

...

Matcha was completely terrified in silent.

She was unknowingly ended up in the very same Ancient Egyptian tomb the archeologists were exploring. With only a flashlight in her hand, she didn't have any other choice but to walk through the dark and spooky hallways.

Matcha had her own reason to be extremely cautious. Since this tomb was plagued with curse, the ghosts and mummies must be lurking somewhere inside here. One fatal ecounter with them, and she'll become a dead meat.

And her instinct was right when she felt someone just passed behind her.

She quickly turned behind to check, yet no one was there, much to her own relief.

But it was too early to assume that she was safe from danger.

"Rrrrrraaaaargh..."

Matcha could heard a very low growl from nearby. But she could never tell where did it came from.

"Please, just leave me alone..." Matcha muttered in fear.

The situation started getting more worse when she reached the entrance to a random room.

And that's when a mummy just popped out from the room's darkness, ambushing her without warning.

"RAAAAAAAARRGH!"

"KYAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Matcha just woke up from a very terrible nightmare. It was clearly that movie's fault, now the dead pharaoh and his lackeys even haunted her in her sleep.

When Matcha looked at the lime green alarm clock on the bedside table, the current time was 2:31 AM.

Matcha only could stared silently upon the ceiling quietly she was unable to go back to sleep. How she wished if she could forget anything about that movie from her mind.

...

"Matcha..."

Out of sudden, Matcha could heard a faint yet strange female voice from nowhere. Her eyes widened in shock as eerie breeze slowly engulfed her.

Could it be a vengeful ghost was searching for her?

"Matcha!"

"Kyaaaaa!

Inside the teacher's lounge, Matcha was startled when Yukari slammed her hand against the desk.

"Can't you please don't do that?" Matcha was upset.

"What's the matter? Are you scared of something right now?" Yukari asked with sarcastic manner.

"Of course I'm not" Matcha denied.

"Anyway, where's your best friend?" Yukari was mentioning Azuki.

"Just go to the lab already" Matcha said.

"She wasn't there" Yukari replied.

"Maybe she's going to school store or somewhere else?"

"SENSEI!"

Yukari suddenly noticed two female students from Class 3-C, Airi and Shizuku who just entered the teacher's lounge.

"Yes?" Yukari then left Matcha alone as she walked towards her students.

Matcha only sighed with a frown. She then grabbed a lime green notebook on her desk.
