The Doctor opened the TARDIS door with a flourish, the warm glow of the theatre's lights spilling into the dim console room. "Welcome home," he said, his voice filled with affection. As they stepped out, the bustling atmosphere of Calatonia's entertainment district washed over them, a stark contrast to the bleakness they had just left behind. The Doctor took a deep breath, the smells of the city a comforting reminder of home.

But as they approached the theatre's entrance, they saw Buster and the troupe speaking with each other when Buster saw the trio "Hey guys how was it" He asked with excitement. The Doctor's smile faltered for a moment, "well we ended up in 1938 Berlin," he said trying to keep his voice calm. "And honestly I would rather not talk about it right now," Porsha added quickly, noticing the Doctor's tension.

Just then the troupe heard a voice that everyone knew except Porsha Kira and The Doctor "Moon guess whose back!" it was Mike the Mouse he had worked with the buster as a contestant for the $100,000 dollar reward singing competition. Mike strutted over to them "Hi Buster!" he exclaimed with a sly smile. "Mike!" Buster's eyes widened as he tried to hide his surprise and displeasure.

DOCTOR WHO

A RAT IN THE THEATRE

"What are you doing here?" The Doctor's expression grew tense as he studied Mike. Mike's fur was sleek and well groomed, a stark contrast to the Doctor's own disheveled look. "Oh, just passing by, thought I'd drop in and see how the show is going," Mike said, his voice dripping with arrogance. The Doctor was confused about why the rest of the troupe seemed unhappy to see mike.

Mike's eyes fell on Porsha and Kira, and his smile fell slightly "Hey ain't you Jimmy Crystals kid?" he said, his tone cold. Porsha bristled at the mention of her birth father "I am," she said through gritted teeth. Then Mikes eyes fell on Kira and because she looked human since she was an alien, and Mike was very rude towards her "I'm sorry what the heck is that thing?" he spat.

The Doctor was appalled by Mike's hostility towards Kira, his eyes narrowing as he took in the mouse's dismissive demeanor. "Kira is a member of our troupe," he said firmly, his voice laced with a hint of steel. "And she deserves respect." Mike's smile twitched, his eyes flicking over to Porsha and then back to The Doctor. "Oh yeah and how the hell are you meant?" he sneered.

The Doctor's patience was wearing thinner than the fabric of time itself. He stepped closer to Mike, his height towering over the mouse. "I am The Doctor," he said, his voice low and measured. "And I expect you to treat all beings with kindness and respect, or you will not be welcome here." Mike took a step back, his bravado momentarily faltering in the face of The Doctor's stern gaze. "I'll leave when I'm good and ready," he said, his voice now defiant. "And Besides I'm here as the co-director of a new show to take place here."

"What show?" Porsha asked, her tone equally as sharp. "The one that's going to put New Moon Theatre back on the map," Mike replied, his sneer back in place. "I've got the connections, the talent, and the backing." The Doctor's eyes narrowed. "And what is it exactly that you plan to bring to this 'show'?" Mike looked at the doctor and smirked "Real talent, not some alien freak show." Mike turned to Buster "Hey moon the rest of your troupe can stay but that thing," he pointed at Kira "it's gotta go." Kira felt hurt by Mike's words, but Porsha's protective instincts kicked in "You leave her alone!" she snarled. "Hey listen sweetheart don't talk to me like that or else," Mike threatened Porsha.

The Doctor's patience had reached its end. "That's enough," he said, his voice cold and firm. "Kira is a member of this family and she stays." Mike laughed "What are you going to do about it?" he challenged, his hands on his hips. The Doctor stepped closer, his eyes blazing. "I'll do whatever it takes to protect her and this theatre." The tension between them grew thick enough to cut with a knife. "Well good luck with that doc anyway People we got a show to do!" Mike turned and strode away, leaving the group in stunned silence. Rosita looked concerned "Doctor, are you ok?" she asked. The Doctor took a deep breath "I'm fine," he said, his eyes still on the spot where Mike had been.

The Next few weeks were awful nonstop rehearsing with Mike who was as unpleasant as ever. He was always bossing everyone around and was incredibly rude to Kira, often making fun of her for being an alien and her Cybernetic arm. Despite The Doctors warnings Mike seemed to have a vendetta against Kira, and no matter how much the troupe tried to stand up for her he would just belittle them. Then one day Porsha just could not do the scene right and Mike forced her do it over and over again until she was in tears. "For crying out loud wolfy you think you can just do whatever you like because you're Busters daughter" Mike scoffed. "I'm Trying Mike," Porsha sobbed. "Not hard enough!" Mike yelled back. "Now DO IT AGAIN!". Porsha did as she was told Mike yelling at her reminded her of how her Father Jimmy had yelled at her after he thought she had gotten fired from her role in the Out Of This World Show.

Porsha was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't see a rope on the ground and tripped. She went over twisting her ankle in the process she yelped in Pain. Mike stopped in his tracks and looked at her "What is wrong with you?" he snapped. "I'm sorry, I just..." she began but Mike cut her off. "You're pathetic, I can't believe Buster keeps you around," he spat. "And you can kiss your role in this show goodbye, YOUR FIRED!" Mike said turning away leaving Porsha alone crying and clutching her ankle.

The Doctor heard the commotion and rushed out of his TARDIS which was parked backstage. His eyes searched the room and fell upon Porsha, tears streaming down her face. His expression turned from concern to anger in an instant. "What happened here?" he demanded, his voice like thunder. The troupe members looked at each other uncomfortably before one spoke up "Mike fired Porsha," Ash said quietly. The Doctor's jaw clenched. "What why?!" he bellowed. "Because she couldn't get the scene right," Gunter said, his German accent thick with frustration. The Doctor had finally had enough of Mike's cruelty.

Mike sailed into the room, his chest puffed out like a peacock. "What's the problem here?" he sneered, noticing The Doctor's furious gaze. The Doctor took a step towards him, his hands balling into fists at his sides. "You will not speak to Porsha or any member of this troupe like that," he said through gritted teeth. Mike just laughed, his whiskers twitching with amusement. "Oh, so now you're the boss?" he taunted. "Porsha is a member of this family, and I will not stand by while you treat her like dirt," The Doctor said, his voice a low growl. "Look here pal I don't care who you are but I'm in charge of this show now," Mike retorted. The troupe watched as Mike and The Doctor continued arguing, their voices rising until the theatre seemed to vibrate with their anger. "You know what Mike you just an arrogant greedy rat!" The Doctor shouted, losing his temper. "And you're just a glorified janitor with a fancy blue box!" Mike shot back. "Says the one whose greatest talent is being obnoxious and Stupid!" The Doctor fired back. As the two of them continued to death stare each other, Buster Moon, the koala, tried to intervene. "Guys will you both stop it?!" he yelled. "Shut it Moon you're not a part of this!" Mike snapped. "You know what mike that maybe the only thing we agree on! Buster BACK OFF!" The Doctor shouted.

The Doctor's eyes were blazing with fury, his patience with Mike at an all-time low. "I will not tolerate this kind of behavior," he said, his voice like the rumble of an approaching storm. "You either treat everyone here with respect or you leave. Now." Mike took a step back, his sneer slipping for just a moment before it returned with twice the force. "I don't take orders from you," he said. "You think you're so high and mighty because you can travel through time and space. Well, let me tell you something, Doc. In show business, it's survival of the fittest, and I'm the fittest." The Doctor glared "And if you don't Shut Up Mike you won't be surviving any longer!" The Doctor yelled. Then mike to one last jab at Porsha that sent the Doctor over the edge "And as for the wolf girl, she's a liability. If she can't hack it, she should just crawl back to the rich city she came from if your mom were alive today, she would have died of disappointment!" Porsha just broke down sobbing that did it "OK THATS IT!" The Doctor roared and lunged at Mike.

It took Johnny, Gunter, Suki and Buster to retrain The Doctor from launching himself at Mike, his eyes burning with a fiery indignation that seemed to challenge the very fabric of the universe. "DOCTOR THATS ENOUGH!" Buster bellowed, his voice echoing through the theatre. The Doctor took a deep breath, his fists slowly unclenching. "Fine! But he does this again and I will make sure he regrets it!" he said, his eyes never leaving Mike.

Mike just laughed "Oh sure Doc, like you can do anything to me!" He turned to leave but not before having one last jab at Porsha's already damaged mental state "You know what Porsha, maybe it's for the best you're moms dead she would have been so disappointed in you," he sneered before walking out of the theatre. The Doctor's rage was palpable, his eyes burning with an intensity that made the very air around him feel electrified.

For a moment, no one moved or spoke. The silence was deafening in the aftermath of Mike's cruel words. Then, as if a dam had broken, Porsha let out a howl of pain and anger that resonated through the theatre, echoing off the rafters. She clutched her injured ankle, her eyes never leaving the spot where Mike had stood. The Doctor's expression softened as he turned to her, his hands dropping to his sides. "Porsha," he said gently, "he's not worth it. We're going to sort this out."

The troupe members exchanged worried glances. They had never seen the Doctor so furious. Johnny helped Porsha to her feet, his gentle strength a stark contrast to the rage that had filled the air just moments before. "Come on," he murmured, "let's get you some ice." The Doctor nodded in agreement, his gaze never leaving Porsha's tear-streaked face. "We'll talk later," he said, his voice tight with emotion.

The next day, Mike strutted into the theatre with an air of superiority, his whiskers twitching as he surveyed the troupe. The Doctor's eyes narrowed as he watched him, his disdain for the mouse's behavior clear. As the rehearsals resumed, Mike was quick to pick on Kira again, his sneers and insults cutting through the air like a knife. "I thought I told you to get rid of that thing," he barked at Buster, pointing a furry finger at Kira. Kira suddenly felt a strange feeling she had not felt before. Anger she suddenly unfolded her arm cannon and aimed it at Mike.

The Doctor stepped between them, his hand on Kira's cannon gently pushing it down. "No Kira," he said, his voice calm but firm. "Violence isn't the answer." Kira's eyes met The Doctor's, and she nodded, her hand shaking tears in her eyes Porsha was like her mom and she was angry at Mike for making Porsha cry. She suddenly fired at Mike luckily the shot missed and hit the floor, sending up a shower of sparks. Mike yelped and jumped back, his tail between his legs. "You'll regret this," he squealed, his bravado momentarily forgotten in the face of the alien weaponry. The Doctor suddenly grabbed Kira by the wrist and pushed her up against a wall "What the hell are you doing!" he hissed, his eyes like a storm cloud. "I'll not have you threatening anyone!" Kira was shocked by The Doctors sudden anger, but she knew he was right. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "So, you should be if you can't control your anger then I will no longer allow you to travel with me and Porsha Do You Understand!" The Doctor's voice was a whip crack of authority that left no room for argument. Kira felt tears prick at her eyes as she nodded. "Yes," she whispered. she suddenly broke down crying and Porsha went over to her, hugging her tightly "It's okay Kira, we're here for you," she murmured, she glared at The Doctor "you don't have to be so harsh!" she whispered angrily.

The Doctor took a deep breath and let go of Kira, his eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice softening. "But we can't let our emotions control us, especially not in the face of someone like Mike." He turned to the cowering mouse. "As for you," he said, his voice cold and hard, "you will leave Porsha and Kira alone, or I'll make sure you never work in show business again." Mike's eyes widened in fear, and he nodded hastily. "Fine," he said, backing away. "But this isn't over." With that, he scurried out of the theatre, his tail vanishing into the shadows of the night.

Kira seemed to be really badly affected by The Doctor speaking to her like that. She had never seen this side of him before and it scared her. The Doctor noticed the fear in her eyes and immediately felt bad. He had been too harsh. "Kira," he said softly, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. But you must understand, violence is never the answer. It's not who we are." Kira looked up at him with tears still in her eyes, but she nodded. The Doctor put his hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "You're part of this family now," he said, his voice warm and reassuring. "And we stick together, no matter what."

Mike's departure didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the troupe. They looked at The Doctor with a mix of shock and admiration. "Thanks Doc," Buster said, patting him on the back. "I don't know what's gotten into him lately, but he's been a real pain." The Doctor nodded, his gaze lingering on the spot where Mike had been standing. "I think we're going to have to keep an eye on him," he said thoughtfully. "He's not going to just go away quietly."

Sure enough, the next day Mike returned, his fur bristling with anger. "You think you can just tell me what to do?" he spat at The Doctor. "You know what you are Doctor?!" The Doctor's eyes narrowed "I know exactly what I am and what you are Mike. A small, greedy creature who thinks the world revolves around him!" Mike sneered "Oh really? And what are you going to do about it?" "I'm going to make sure that this theatre, this family, remains a place of love, respect, and creativity," The Doctor replied firmly. Mike just yawned mockingly "Yawn, save it for your fan club Doc. This is the real world. A world where the strong survive and the weak get eaten."

The Doctor stepped closer, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity that made even the fearless Mike take a step back "You're wrong Mike," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "This isn't just any theatre, it's the New Moon Theatre. And in this family, we take care of each other, we don't tear each other down." Porsha and Kira watched, their hearts racing as the tension grew thicker than a foggy London night. The Doctor's words were a declaration of war against Mike's cruelty.

Mike sneered, not intimidated "Oh, I know all about your precious family," he spat. "A bunch of has-beens and freaks. What makes you think you can tell me what to do?" The Doctor's eyes narrowed, his voice cold and hard "Because this isn't your theatre anymore, it's ours. And if you can't respect that, then you're not welcome here." Mike's eyes went wide with shock, then narrowed with anger. "You think you can kick me out? I built this place from the ground up! Buster Moon owes me everything!" The Doctor snapped back "No you did not all you were a mouse who played a saxophone on the street for change until you saw the poster for the singing competition and impressed Buster with your singing but what did you do? You went gambling and got on the bad side of some Russian bears!" The Doctor knew what Mike had done because he had travelled back in time to 2016 and seen how the troupe had started.

The troupe gasped at the revelation, they knew Mike had upset those bears, but they never knew why but know they knew he had stolen from them. Mike's face grew red with rage "You! You had no right to interfere!" he yelled. "I had every right!" The Doctor shot back "You brought chaos to this family, and I will not let you bring anymore!" Mike was enraged "You think you can just waltz in here and take over?!" "I'm not taking over Mike, I'm protecting it," The Doctor said calmly "This theatre is more than just a stage it's a place where dreams come true, where people find their voice and you are stomping all over that!" Mike's eyes were wild with fury "You think you're so much better than me?!" Mike decided to have a go at Porsha before storming out to annoy the Doctor however it would be a mistake he would quickly regret. "You know what Porsha, maybe you should just leave too, you're useless!" Mike shouted. Porsha felt tears in her eyes, but she tried not to cry, she had been through worse suddenly.

The troupe watched in shock as The Doctor's gentle demeanor transformed into a whirlwind of fury. Before anyone could react, The Doctor had Mike in his fist, lifting him off the ground. "You will not speak to Porsha that way," he snarled. Mike's eyes went wide with fear, his bravado forgotten. "I didn't mean it!" he squeaked. But The Doctor wasn't listening. He threw Mike across the room, the mouse landing with a thump. "Get out, and don't come back. Cause if you do, they will need a spatula to scrap you of the ground DO I MAKE MY SELF CLEAR!" Mike nodded frantically, scrambling to his feet. He didn't wait for another word before he turned tail and bolted from the theatre, his heart racing. The Doctor was beathing heavily, his eyes still blazing.

Porsha was shocked but Kira was terrified. She had never seen the Doctor so angry. The troupe stared at him, their eyes wide with surprise and fear. "Doctor?" Buster tentatively asked, his voice shaking slightly. The Doctor took a deep breath and turned to face the group, his chest heaving. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice still tight with emotion. "But no one talks to Porsha or any of you like that."

The Doctor's words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the protective bond he had formed with the New Moon troupe. Kira was still uneasy near the Doctor what if she angered? He was so powerful, so dangerous when provoked. But Porsha knew better. She saw the love and care in his eyes when he looked at her, and she knew he would never harm any of them.

Mike had left the theatre, his tail between his legs, and the Doctor took a moment to compose himself. "Are you okay?" he asked Porsha gently, his voice a stark contrast to the rage he had just displayed. She nodded, though she was visibly shaking. "Thank you," she murmured. The Doctor turned to the rest of the troupe. "Let's get back to work," he said, his tone firm. "We have a show to put on."

On the opening night of the New Moon Theatre's latest production, Mike the Mouse strutted backstage with a smug smirk, his beady eyes scanning the hustle and bustle for any signs of weakness or dissent. The Doctor's patience had been stretched to its limits, and he could feel the tension coiling within him like a tightened spring, ready to snap at the slightest provocation. The theatre was ablaze with lights and music, but the shadow of Mike's presence cast a pall over the excitement.

As Mike approached Porsha and Kira, his tail swishing in an agitated rhythm, the Doctor stepped in front of them, his posture rigid and defensive. "Not another word," he warned, his voice a low, dangerous growl that seemed to rumble through the very air. Mike's smirk faltered for a moment before he recovered, his whiskers twitching with spite. "Oh, so now you think you're the big shot around here, do you?" he sneered. Kira had already nearly shot Mike with her arm cannon out of anger and the Doctor had told her off for it, so she was scared but she had to stand her ground.

The Doctor's eyes flashed with an intensity that could have outshone the stars. "I will not tolerate you speaking to any member of this troupe with anything less than respect," he said firmly. "Porsha is not your personal punching bag, nor is Kira. You will treat them as equals, or I will ensure you never set foot in this theatre again." His words were like a slap across Mike's face, wiping the smug expression clean away. The mouse's eyes narrowed, but he knew better than to challenge the Doctor's authority now.

Mike slinked away, his ears laid flat against his head. The Doctor watched him go, his jaw clenched tightly. He turned to Porsha and Kira, his expression softening. "Are you both okay?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. Porsha nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Thanks, Doc," she whispered. Kira, however, remained silent, her arm cannon still out and her gaze fixed on the spot where Mike had been standing. "Kira don't," Porsha said gently, placing a hand on her metal limb. "We can't let him get to us like that." The show went great, and the audience was in awe of the troupes performance.

However mid-way through Porsha's performance Mike interrupted her singing by stepping on stage and making her look bad, the audience was confused, and the Doctor had had enough. The Doctor stormed onto the stage, his eyes like twin sons of fury. "Mike!" he roared. "What do you think you're doing?" Mike sneered up at him, his tiny frame seeming to grow with malicious intent. "Just teaching your little pet a lesson, Doc," he spat. "A lesson she'll never forget. You see dear audience Porsha here is just like her father she's cold cruel and violent!" The Audience were shocked by mikes accusations not knowing that Mike was actually lying.

The Doctor's hand shot out, grabbing Mike by the tail and yanking him off the stage. "How dare you?" he thundered, his grip tightening until the mouse squealed in pain. The audience gasped, some of them shrinking back in their seats as the Doctor's fury filled the theatre. Mike squirmed in his grasp, trying to break free, but it was like trying to wrestle a bear. "You will apologize," The Doctor demanded, his voice as cold as the void of space. The Audience started booing the Doctor, but he quickly shut them up "This is not part of the show so will all of you SHUT UP!" he shouted. "I will have all of you know that this rat has done nothing but cause trouble for this theatre and this family!" Mike's eyes widened with fear as he realized he had pushed The Doctor too far. The Doctor pulled his sonic screwdriver out and pointed it at the sound system "And I have proof that this rat is not kind at all!"

The Doctor played a recording of Mike's past actions, and his voice was heard saying all the cruel things he had said to Porsha and the rest of the troupe. The audience was shocked and started to boo Mike. "I'm sorry," Mike whimpered, his bravado gone. "Please, let me go." But The Doctor was not one for quick forgiveness. "You have no place here," he said, his voice echoing through the stunned theatre. "You are no longer welcome in the New Moon Theatre." With a flick of his wrist, he sent Mike flying through the air, landing in a heap outside the stage door. The troupe rallied around Porsha, their faces a mix of relief and anger. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I apologize for the intermission, but Porsha will now continue her performance!" the Doctor announced with a flourish. While Porsha was shaken up by Mikes actions, but she managed to finish her performance flawlessly.

Mike, bruised and humiliated, slinked away into the night, his dreams of dominance in the theatre shattered. The Doctor had shown him and the audience the true cost of his cruelty. As the night went on and the show continued, the bond between the Doctor, Porsha, and the troupe grew stronger, forged in the crucible of adversity. They knew that they had each other's backs, no matter what the universe threw at them.
