"Actually, Young Izuku." Toshinori cut in. "You said Boon could transfer the vitality to others, didn't you? Why don't you just transfer it to one of us so you can take a moment to recover? I'm sure we could handle an extra bit of pep in our step."

Midoriya hesitated. "Are you sure? It's not exactly a pleasant experience…"

"Psh." Sorahiko rolled his eyes. "You say it's not a pleasant experience, but you haven't felt what it's like to be old and sore and tired all the time. Give it here."

"...Actually, maybe you should-" Torino sent a glare Toshinori's way, and the Oaf wisely shut his yap. Midoriya hesitated for a moment, then extended a hand to Sorahiko. He pulled off his glove, then clasped the boy's hand.

Warmth flowed into him like a tidal wave, momentarily stunning him at its intensity. Immediately, the chronic ache in his joints began to fade. He'd gotten so used to the unyielding discomfort that its sudden disappearance felt wrong for a second, the sensation almost enough to make him yank his hand back. At the same time, it was such an unspeakable relief that he couldn't imagine making it stop.

Then it really hit him. The energy thrummed through him like someone had just stuck a live wire into every muscle in his body. It felt impossible to contain, like he'd explode if he didn't do something to let it out. He had to do something. He had to move.

So he did.

Directly through the nearest window.

Toshinori stared blankly at the Sorahiko-shaped hole in his window. His bulletproof, reinforced, plexiglass window. Installed specifically to keep people from doing almost exactly what had just happened, albeit from the outside.

"Um…" Izuku, who was apparently just as surprised as him by the latest development, also stared at the hole. "I… Wasn't expecting that."

"I did." Toshinori sighed, bringing a hand up to nurse the developing headache. "Sorry, I should have put my foot down on using him as a guinea pig."

"You started to, and I know he can kind of bully you into things." Izuku frowned at that, eyes darkening slightly in a way that Toshinori found worrying. "I should have asked you to keep talking before I did anything."

"It's alright, Young Izuku. I'm sure everything will be just fine."

Distantly, cars started honking.

"That's probably unrelated."

In the distance, a yellow blur shot up from between two buildings, visible against the dark of the night sky. It caught the dangling chain of a rooftop crane, used it to spin rapidly, then shot off in a different direction. More cars started honking, punctuated by the sound of squealing tires.

"...I think it might have been related." Izuku said warily.

Toshinori sighed, resigned. "That seems likely, yes."

"A VILLAIN IS HERE! A VILLAIN IS HERE!"

Toshinori whipped out his phone as he moved, calling on One for All as he stepped towards the main room. He quickly scanned over the report, only to come to a screeching halt as the words on screen finally registered.

Villain Alert!

A villain has been spotted in Downtown Tokyo in the vicinity of Might Tower. The villain is as of yet unidentified, but witnesses indicate they're small and primarily wear yellow and white. The villain is capable of high speed flight. No harm to civilians has been reported, but the villain has damaged public property, buildings, and has attempted to engague in races against vehicles and aircrafts.

Reports indicate some vigilante activity, with two muggings ended, a purse thief hung by their pants from a street light, and three villains unconscious.

Attempts to apprehend the villain have failed. Available Heroes are to approach with caution.

Toshinori facepalmed with sufficient force to make nearby workout equipment rattle, then dragged his hand down his face, eyes stretching open. "I'll be back shortly, Young Izuku."

It took a… distressingly long time to track down Sorahiko. There had been five more updates regarding the unknown flying villain, which had reported everything from him being spotted hanging from the landing gear of a helicopter to giving villains mach-speed wedgies.

He'd known Sorahiko could be childish at times, but this was becoming absurd . He was almost to the point of worrying that Boon might have some kind of psychedelic effect when he finally managed to track his wayward mentor down.

Naturally, he was engaged in a dogfight with Hawks.

One he was winning.

The wing hero's feathers were spinning around him like autumn leaves in a tornado, but Sorahiko was weaving through them at an absurd speed. The tiny yellow blur got in close, and in a flash slammed something into Hawks' head.

'. ..is that a bucket of fried chicken?'

Whatever it was, it proved enough of a diversion to let Sorahiko land on Hawks' back.

"Yer' a hundred years too early to fight me, Bird Brain!" Sorahiko cackled, then shot off in a yellow blur.

Or, tried to. One jump, and Toshinori had a hand wrapped in the back edge of Sorahiko's cape, bringing the old man up short. He towed Sorahiko through the air like a screeching streamer until he landed on a nearby rooftop, then glared down at the little man dangling from the cape in his grip.

"Sorahiko, stop this! Do you have any idea what you've done-"

Toshinori blinked as Sorahiko climbed up his cape and started gnawing on Toshinori's arm like a feral gremlin.

"...Do I need to take you to the hospital or something?"

Sorahiko hissed at him, then lunged. A yellow boot planted itself in Toshinori's face, his nose firmly wedged into the hole in its sole. What came next was a condensed blast of old man foot, forcibly injected into Toshinori's sinuses via a stream of near-sonic air. He maintained his grip on Sorahiko's cape… which just meant the old man had a pivot.

With which he swung his momentum into a knee strike.

Directly into Toshinori's nuts.

CRUNCH.

'...This is what I get for telling David not to bother developing an indestructible jock cup.' Toshinori thought in the brief moment before the pain hit him in full.

Izuku stared blankly down at his phone as the Breaking News alerts continued to roll in. The ringing in his ears was slowly starting to fade, now that the battle was far more distant. Through what remained of the incessant tone, he could just barely hear the constant "An Alert is Here!" chimes, each overlapping the last as reports continued to flood in. Distantly, he could still hear the battle raging, though from this distance it was now reminiscent of rolling thunder.

He really hoped that things would calm down soon. Maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed, and everyone would be able to laugh it off once they made their way back.

Izuku stared at the alert for the 3 seconds it was on screen, rapidly dropping off the bottom as more alerts continued to pour in. He blinked.

'...So. Gran Torino's going on the No-Fly list for Boon.'
