Miroku had come into the woods to pick up some firewood. It was decided that Sango and him should do it in order to help with getting breakfast ready.

However, as Miroku began to pick up the firewood, he couldn't help but think about the day before.

'Inuyasha…' Miroku couldn't help but think, as his heart ached in regret. 'If only I had stayed with my initial belief that you were innocent, you would still be here and not with Naraku. If only I had listened to you Inuyasha…'

The hurt face of Inuyasha of the night Miroku abandoned him appeared before his face. Unable to take the feelings of heavy guilt anymore, Miroku gripped his staff in his hand and gritted his teeth. He wanted to see Inuyasha.

Then, the bushes before him rustled as if someone was coming out of it. Suddenly, Sango appeared with Kilala in tow with a small bundle of wood in her arms.

"How are things on your end Miroku?" Sango asked, carrying a small bundle of chunks of wood in her arms. "Did you get enough wood?"

Upon seeing his travel companion, Miroku released his grip on his staff and briefly glanced at the small bundle of firewood in his other hand. "Maybe more than enough."

Seeing a solemn expression on the monk's face, Sango asked, "Still thinking about what Kouga said last night about Inuyasha? And about that demon serpent?" Getting nothing but silence from the monk in response, Sango continued, "Yeah, I am too. Who would ever thought that such a creature like that serpent demon existed? And how did Inuyasha of all people end up being a bearer demon? How in the hell did Naraku find that out? Honestly, the whole thing gets me angry just thinking about it."

"I keep beating myself up over how I allowed that serpent to manipulate me like that. If only that serpent had not messed with our senses with her demonic powers, then we would've not doubted Inuyasha the way we did. " Miroku finally said, "We would've treated Inuyasha better."

"I agree." Sango said, " That serpent manipulated Sesshomaru's, Kouga's and Shippo's sense of smell, while she just used our worst fears and our doubts about Inuyasha against us." Sango's face reflected guilt and regret, as she paused for a moment before continuing, "I should've not said those things about Inuyasha. I practically turned against him as soon as that serpent appeared. At least you actually tried to seek the truth, before that demon manipulated Shippo's sense of smell."

Miroku remained silent as the feelings of guilt and regret continued to eat away at his heart. He needed to see Inuyasha.

"I accompanied you in collecting the firewood today because I wanted to escape my thoughts. "Sango said, as she gestured over to the small bundle of wood in her arms, "But they were all I could think about when I was collecting the firewood. I think we both collected more firewood than we needed for breakfast."

Glancing over at his traveling companion for a brief moment, before looking back in the direction of the camp, Miroku said, "As true as that maybe, perhaps we both needed something to do to distract our minds. Let's start heading back to the campsite, Kagome will start to worr—"

Miroku stopped what he was saying and sensed the familiar and haunting presence of a strong demon. "Naraku!" Miroku said, almost dropping the firewood in his arms as the feeling of anger emerged from the emotional turmoil he was already experiencing. "He's here."

Miroku felt the overwhelming need to run towards the demonic presence in hopes of ripping Inuyasha away from Naraku's arms. Miroku's body was prepared to do just that, until Sango spoke.

"We should go inform the others in case they don't know about it yet." Sango said, feeling the need to also run after their enemy's presence, but realized that letting the wolf demon and the time traveling priestess be aware of what was going on would be a better idea. "Miroku."

Nodding his head in agreement, Miroku took a deep breath before saying, "I agree. Let's go."

With that said, the monk, demon slayer and her fire cat ran back in direction of the campsite.

By the time Miroku and Sango had almost reached the camp, Kouga was already running towards them with Kagome and Shippo on his back.

"Did you catch the scent of Naraku as well Miroku?" Kouga asked, as he stopped.

"Yeah, Sango and I both did and were just heading back to tell you." Miroku said, "Are you guys going there right now?"

"Yeah, we are. You coming?" Kagome asked, watching as her two travel mates nodded their heads in agreement. "Great, let's go!"

With that said, Kouga and Kagome took off towards Naraku's presence.

Miroku and Sango gave each other a brief glance before dropping their firewood and took off after the wolf demon and the time traveling priestess.

The group ran through the forest until they reached a large rocky clearing near a river. As the group entered the clearing, they were immediately greeted with the sight of Naraku floating in the sky in his magenta barrier looking down at Sesshomaru.

"My, my…" Naraku smirked as Inuyasha's former companions and the wolf demon ran beside the DaiYoukai who was currently giving him a glare full of hatred. "I must say, this is quite the greeting. All of my enemies run to see me as soon as I arrive. To what have I done to deserve such an honor?"

"Enough playing around Naraku!" Miroku called out, glaring hard at the spider demon, "Where is Inuyasha? How come he's not here with you?"

"It seems that you all have forgotten that Inuyasha is the mother of my child." Naraku sneered, enjoying the looks of anger he got from his enemies in response. "Where else would he be other than at my castle taking care of our child?"

"Damn you, Naraku." Kouga growled, "How dare you force that upon Inuyasha. You won't get away with this!"

"When you say things like that, it's hard to believe that you had nothing to do with that serpent demon that deceived us." Miroku said, "This only screams of your kind of work, especially since you're the only one that benefited from this."

"Didn't that demon tell you that it was Kagome who sent her?" Naraku chuckled, reminding the lot below him of the serpent demon's words, "I honestly had nothing to do with that."

"Like we're going to believe that." Sango retorted, "Given your track record and the way everything was planned out with the deception, betrayal and the destruction of bonds, it's honestly hard to believe that you had nothing to do with this. For all, we know you could have sent that serpent!"

"Hm…" Naraku nonchalantly said, "You know, Inuyasha said something similar to me before I raped him." Immediately the demon slayer's large boomerang weapon came rushing towards him before it deflected off his barrier and came hurling back towards Sango. Luckily, Sango caught it.

"Naraku," Miroku warned, his hand holding sutras as the time traveling priestess beside him aimed her sacred arrow at the spider demon, "If you have the audacity to make comments like that, it just shows how guilty you are in your involvement in all this. No one else but you would know which string to pull to get the end result you wanted. And you have the nerve to continue denying your role in this? The more I think about it, the more sick I become."

Staring at the accusatory glares that his enemies were giving him, Naraku chuckled, "You're blaming me for your failure to trust Inuyasha? Honestly, it was only a matter of time, before that serpent demon found you."

"What was that?" Kouga growled, "You're the one who sent h—"

"That demon takes orders from no one and acts on their own accord. You know that, don't you Kouga." Naraku said, not as a question but as a statement as he watched Kouga growl some more before looking away. Then Naraku shifted his attention to the DaiYoukai, "Lord Sesshomaru, judging from how you acted in the situation, I'm willing to bet that once the possibility of that priestess being that serpent demon crossed your mind, you immediately went to go correct your mistake of leaving Inuyasha to die, didn't you? I must ask, what caused you to consider that possibility? Or perhaps, did the news of your younger brother's death bother you that much?" No one could miss the sound of mockery that was clear in the spider demon's voice.

"What are you trying to say, Naraku? If I am remembering correctly, you're the one who deceived us over Inuyasha's apparent death? Had you not lied, we eventually would've found Inuyasha and rescued him from you earlier." Miroku said, believing that the spider demon was trying to divert the attention from himself, "The only person at fault here is you. Not Sesshomaru or Kouga, it's just you and you alone who is responsible for this mess and—"

"Not once has Inuyasha lied to me since the time that I have known him." Sesshomaru said, drawing all eyes on him as he interrupted the monk, "Back then, when Inuyasha had told me that he was not responsible for the pregnancy of that priestess, I did not believe him. I did not want to believe him since I already had the belief that Inuyasha was nothing but a creature that has brought nothing but shame to my father's name since he was born. However, once I had heard the news of Inuyasha's apparent 'death' the words that Inuyasha told me that last time I saw him, bothered me. It was at that moment that I had realized that since the time I have known him, Inuyasha has never once lied to me no matter the circumstances."

"Is that what caused you to go to the village where Kikyo stayed, and watch her for 5 months?" Naraku said intrigued, "Why did you wait so long before you finally acted against that serpent demon when you already had your suspicions? Could it be that the reason why you waited so long before you acted, was because you were not only convinced by the way the serpent kept up her act even after hearing that Inuyasha had 'died', but you also would have rather the serpent demon to continue with her deception, so you would not have to face the shame that you felt over the decision you made to doubt your younger brother. I must say Sesshomaru, had you unraveled that demon's deception earlier whether it be 5 months ago, or that time you were with Inuyasha, Inuyasha would've been so grateful to you because someone close to him, believed him."

Naraku laughed, "Now look at you all now! Inuyasha hates you all now. I dare say that Inuyasha's hatred of you is closer to his hatred of me!"

At those words, Inuyasha's former companions looked away in shame and guilt, while Sesshomaru gave the spider demon an even harsher glare as he gripped his sword. Also glaring at Naraku, Koga gritted his teeth and gripped his fists even tighter.

"What was that you said?" Naraku said, continuing to laugh as he began to recall some of the things that Inuyasha's former companions had said to the InuHanyou. "'You make me sick, you disgusting lowlife?' 'A real deadbeat' you said? 'A pig?' 'You have no words for him?' You said? You all even went as far as to bring Kagura into this and say that she was the one that bore Inuyasha's and my child!" Naraku broke out into a hearty laugh and said, "Those two hate each other. Excusing the little 'escape' they tried to do a while back, Kagura and Inuyasha are usually on bad terms with each other. So much so that the possibility of them sleeping with each other doesn't exist because neither person is willing!"

Much to the annoyance of Sesshomaru, Kouga, and Inuyasha's former companions, Naraku continued to laugh, "If there was any doubt in my mind that Inuyasha despises you all, it's gone now! I think it's safe to say that if I were to leave you alone with him, Inuyasha would not dare leave with you, much less escape with you!"

"Though I must say that the serpent demon's pregnancy act did have even me fooled, I still had my doubts due to Inuyasha's character. He's not the type of person to do such a thing so irresponsibly." Naraku said, once his laughter died down, "My doubts were confirmed once I realized that Inuyasha was a bearer demon."

"And when did you realize this Naraku?" Kouga growled, annoyed at how the spider demon was able to find amusement in this sick situation. "How and when did you realize that Inuyasha was a bearer demon?!"

"Patience Kouga, I'll get there." Naraku said, "However, I'm curious to know how you were aware of the serpent demon's existence. Was it through an encounter or did you hear of her existence through legends and tales?"

"Hold on, where are we going with this?" Sango demanded, "All of this is your doing and if you hadn—-"

"You don't honestly still believe that, do you, my dear Sango?" Naraku sneered, knowing very well that the demon slayer and the lot below him, no longer believed that he was responsible for the serpent demon's deception. "I'm just letting you know that I'm not the only person who knows about this demon's behavior and what they are capable of." Naraku said, "Both Kouga and Sesshomaru seem to have also either had an encounter with this demon or have at least heard the legends about her. So which was it?"

"...It was the legends." Kouga said, tearing his attention away from the spider demon and looked at the InuHanyou's former companions. "As I explained to you all last night. Ever since I was a young cub, I have heard legends and tales of encounters about the serpent demon. However, I have never encountered the demon myself. That's why it took me awhile, before I could identify it. All I was told was that in a messy and destructive situation like the one that happened between Inuyasha and us, one needs to look for signs from the creature causing the confusion that reveals her true form. I was told to watch out for the amount of water that she drinks while she is in her disguise. For the amount she drinks is an ungodly amount. No normal demon or human drinks the way she does. Once you realize who she really is, you must say the words, 'Oh woman from the water, why have you come to cause confusion?' It is by either saying that or completely trusting in the person that she is trying to destroy, will you be able to end her destructive act."

"Why does that demon do that?" Kagome asked, horrified at what the wolf demon was saying, "If she isn't requested or tasked by someone to do her evil, then why does she do that?"

"She does it for her own amusement. You see, confusion and destruction are the very things that give her joy in life. Her kind are not the type to take orders from anyone. Once they see their prey, they just act." Naraku said, "If you still think that I had an influence in this, I did not make you sit at that lake Kagome. No, you did that on your own accord. And unfortunately, the lake you chose to sit at, was the very lake where that demon was occupying at the time. Had you not come and no other person visited her, that demon would've gone to a different lake to see if anyone in that area would unknowingly come and visit her." Turning his attention away from Inuyasha's former companions and the wolf demon, Naraku turned to Sesshomaru.

"Judging from your actions on how you handled the situation Sesshomaru, I'm willing to bet that you most likely only heard about that serpent from tales and legends like Kouga had. Otherwise, you would've put an end to the deception as soon as you noticed it."

"What about you Naraku?!" Kouga challenged, "As soon as you realized what was going on, you continued the deception and told us that Inuyasha had died!"

"And had I not, would you all have been here today facing me like this?" Naraku pointed out, "If things had gone the way the serpent demon had wanted it to go, and both Sesshomaru and Kouga continued on their lack of experience with the demon herself, that demon would've given birth to that child and would've raised it. That serpent demon would've continued in her deception until she, herself, grew bored with the situation and would've left you all to pick up the pieces of whatever remained of your relationship with Inuyasha. It's not completely certain that is what would've happened, but at the rate things were going, without my interference, it would've taken a long time before you all realized the serpent demon's deception." Naraku said, watching as his words hit the group hard.

"What I don't get is that when we told her that Inuyasha was 'dead', she continued pretending she was pregnant." Kagome said, thinking back on her memories with the serpent demon, "I think that's what made her act so convincing to us."

"That's because she knew that Inuyasha was still alive." Naraku said, surprising his enemies with his knowledge of the serpent demon, "Perhaps she used her water, when you all were unaware, to locate Inuyasha to see if he had really died. Or maybe she just knew. Either way, I'm not surprised because her kind are always made to know about the status of their victims, so they can decide whether or not they want to continue in the deception. Had Inuyasha really died, the serpent demon would've ended her act and would have enjoyed the look of devastation on all of your faces once you realized who she really was and Inuyasha was gone forever."

"So how do you know about this serpent Naraku?" Miroku said, his voice sounding grave as the spider demon's last words echoed about in his mind. "The way you acted in this situation and even yesterday when you led us to Inuyasha in the forest. And how you knew which lake the serpent demon would escape to, does not seem that you knew of this knowledge through legends and tales. It seems that you had an encounter with her, but you are hardly the type to get deceived. Could this encounter have happened before you were Naraku and was still Onigumo?"

"Hm, that's an interesting theory you have Monk, but..." Naraku smirked, "I'm not the one who was her prey or was even deceived by her. No, but I did observe who she did it to. About 30 years ago, there was a very young yet strong monk. This monk went traveling from village to village to help people out with their spiritual problems either for a low cost or for free. One day, he came upon a village who was being invaded by demons and evil spirits. The demons and the spirits took joy in possessing any of the villagers they pleased, to do horrendous acts. And if the demons weren't possessing the humans, they were killing them by just plainly attacking them.

So the monk took pity on the villagers and helped them get rid of the demons and the spirits that terrorized them so much. And because the humans of the village were so poor, the monk performed his good works free of charge. He even offered to stay in the village to help them take care of any more demonic and spiritual problems they would have in the future without a cost. The villagers were so moved by his kindness that they built a temple for him to live in. It wasn't long before people sent their sons to go and train under the monk so they could be like him. To the villagers, the young yet strong monk was like a god. A kind god that took pity on them and saved them from the terror of the evil demons and spirits that haunted their village.

However, before he came, I had already been in the area watching the demons terrorize the villagers. I allowed the demons to do as they wish, so the demons would be at their strongest when I would absorb them in my body. I was quite displeased when that monk came. He ruined my plans. I already had an idea on how I would deal with him in a way that would destroy him, but before I could make any moves, the serpent demon came from her lake and completely annihilated the man.

One day, when the monk had left the village because he was summoned to exorcise a demon in another nearby village, the serpent demon had entered his temple and had slain his young disciples in a brutal way. Then she disguised as one of them and lied to the villagers, saying that the monk had raped the young boys and had killed them. This young boy that was left was the only sole survivor and that the monk didn't kill well enough before he left."

"Hol-Hold on…" Kagome interjected, interrupting the spider demon "Didn't the villagers realize that the boy was a demon? His story is full of holes. Why would the monk rape and kill his own disciples before going off on a trip, wouldn't he be afraid of facing the consequences of his 'actions' when he came back? And let's say that the monk didn't come back, then him doing that to his disciples would make more sense. Don't tell me that the villagers believed that lie and waited for him to come back? It's more understandable if they chased after him."

"Let me ask you this, didn't the serpent demon's story of Inuyasha impregnating her have holes in it?" Naraku said as he pointed out, "Judging his character and personality, does it make sense for Inuyasha to do that to Kikyo and treat her like that when he apparently 'loved' that woman? No, the lies of the serpent demon doesn't need to make much sense as long as it gets its goal of destruction across. That's why she touches the 'worst fears' and 'doubts' that others have towards her victim. Otherwise, how else would her deception be so effective?"

"So you're saying that because someone or some people in the village doubted the monk's kindness and held a twisted belief of him deep insides their heart, the serpent demon used that belief against them, to destroy the villagers' relationship with the monk and the monk himself?" Sango said, seeing the similarities of the monk's story and the InuHanyou's.

Knowing the thoughts of the demon slayer, Naraku smirked and said, "Now do you see the similarities? When the monk came back, the villagers just outrightly accused him without even trying to hear his side of the story. Besides that, he didn't have a reasonable defense other than the possibility of this all being the work of a demon. To which he was right, but the villagers didn't care and sentenced him to die. They beat him up and had set to have him tortured to death for his crimes against the slain disciples the next day. However, that's where I came in. At night, while the villagers had slept, I came to visit the badly beaten monk who was tied to a large tree. I offered him a second chance in life, if he were to turn his back on the village. To which, he did. I then led the large group of demons to do as they wished to the villagers and all the villagers 'tragically' died that night." The wolf demon and Inuyasha's former companions gasped as they realized who Naraku was talking about.

"Hold on, isn't this the story of that old monk?" Kagome said, shocked that because of the monk's encounter with the serpent demon is the reason why he suffered, "I just thought you were the reason why he suffered such a terrible fate. I didn't know it was because of that serpent demon. No wonder he cried at how the villagers didn't believe him. That poor monk."

"Yes, but you were the one that took advantage of the situation and made that monk your slave!" Miroku recalled, as he glared at the spider demon whose smirk only widened at this, "You had promised him freedom after 40 years of service, only to kill him off when was about to fulfill those years of service. You held his actions from that night long ago, against him so much so that he was tortured by it. That poor monk was so tortured by that event that he had a strange dream about an encounter with the Great King Enma, which I have suspicions that you had something to do with that!"

At this, Naraku laughed, "Well done monk! It's as you say, I was the one that visited that monk in his 'dream', not his worshiped deity. That fool was so afraid of going to hell that much, I realized that I could use that fear against him to do the one other thing he normally wouldn't do. And that was going against my orders. That fool, as much as he followed my orders, he hated me with as much passion as he hated himself for that night. He probably saw me as the one responsible for that event, even though I was not!"

"The reason why he was so obedient to you was because he wanted you to remove the spell you had placed on him that restricted the strength of his powers!" Sango said, "As long as he had that spell on him, he couldn't go out and use his spiritual powers to their full extent unless he was serving you. And you deceived him because you didn't want to keep your end of the promise. That's real low Naraku, even for you!"

"He shouldn't have been the fool that went around helping people. If he hadn't helped those villagers and had just let those demons do as they pleased, that serpent demon and I wouldn't have gotten involved." Naraku said, "However, had the serpent not gotten involved I wouldn't have known about her, so some good came out of that situation."

"Yeah, some good for only you! " Kagome cried out, "That poor monk suffered for years and even in his last moments of life!"

"Oh, only me?" Naraku said, stopping for a moment before he chuckled," Nevermind, whether I knew of this demon or not, the situation with Inuyasha would've still been the same. So some good that the knowledge did me except that the serpent demon would've gotten away with her crimes against you all. However, I suppose either one way or the other, I would've known that about the creature eventually. Nonetheless, after the monk escaped with his life and left the villagers to their death, the serpent demon simply walked out of the village and went back into the water. She left as soon as the demons entered the village and the sight of her walking away still amuses me till this day."

"I don't see how you're much different from that creature." Miroku said, "Both if you deceive to destroy relationships for your own amusement. You both pretend to be your victims in your destructive plans and you both know what strings to pull to achieve the end result that you desire. The only difference that I can see between you and that serpent is that you don't come from the water, she does. And while she uses her powers to manipulate her prey's senses, you use spells and others for the efficiency of your deception."

"Very well Monk." Naraku said, "Though I wouldn't have gone with the same things that she uses for her deception, I do see the similarities."

"Enough of this Naraku." Sesshomaru demanded, "Answer me this Naraku, when did you find out that Inuyasha was a bearer demon when I, myself, didn't know that?"

"Simple, back after you all had beaten Inuyasha and left him alone, I came in." Naraku said, knowing that the lot below him knew exactly what moment he was referring to, "I had originally come to kill Inuyasha but after I attacked him, Inuyasha fainted from his wounds. It was when I came to deliver the finishing blow, his shoulder became exposed to me and I saw the mark of the bearer demon on the back of his right shoulder. As I explained to Inuyasha, that mark is well hidden by his hair."

"So if Inuyasha had not been a bearer demon," Miroku said, his words echoing the thoughts of his companions and allies around him, "You would've killed him." Naraku nodded as he gave a cold smile to the monk in response.

Hearing as the time traveling priestess gasped besides him, Miroku felt his heart ache in pain. Inuyasha almost died because of them. They had pushed Inuyasha away and left him in a vulnerable state. And that could've been the last time that they would've seen Inuyasha forever had Inuyasha not been a bearer demon.

"So…" Kagome said, finding her voice as she realized how heavy with emotion it was, "Is that your way of saying that we should be grateful that you decided to spare Inuyasha all because he was a bearer demon? A demon that you probably enjoyed raping so he could get pregnant with your child? You're sick Naraku, you know that? You're sick!"

"My dear Kagome, why would I ever want you to be grateful to me?" Naraku said, his voice taking a cruel and callous tone, "Inuyasha's not safe in my hands. I never even wanted a child. That thought never even crossed my mind until I found out Inuyasha was a bearer demon."

"So why did you—"

"Simply because I wanted to." Naraku said with a wicked smile on his face as the crimson in his eyes seemed to glow brighter, " Once I saw the mark of the bearer demon on Inuyasha's shoulder, all I could think of was getting Inuyasha pregnant in the worst possible way. I wanted him to get pregnant with a random demon's child, much like a whore who spreads her legs open to any man. I wanted such a fate to befall Inuyasha. I wanted to see his tear stricken face as he was raped by a bunch of random demons. Screaming his voice dry as they have their way with him until he was pregnant with one of their children." Naraku said, much to the horror of the lot below him.

"I wanted those demons to break Inuyasha, but as much as that idea delighted me, I suddenly had the bright idea to be the one who rapes Inuyasha. Once I had thought that, I became obsessed with the idea of Inuyasha carrying my child. And that was the best idea that I have ever thought after the one that I had 50 years ago, when I tricked Inuyasha and Kikyo into thinking that one betrayed the other." Naraku continued, "Now in the palm of my hands is the very same demon who swore to defeat me many times in battle. The one whose existence was a thorn to my side, is now taking care of my child and has become my personal whore. This is a victory that I very much well deserved. It's honestly the best gift that I have ever received and I have you all to thank. If that demon hadn't come here and made a mess of things with you all taking her side, Inuyasha would never have been caught by me."

Miroku collapsed on his knees as all he could see was those cold yet beautiful golden amber eyes. How those eyes stared at him in absolute hatred and betrayal.

Now Miroku understood that he rightly deserved such a harsh stare from the InuHanyou for delivering his friend into the hand of their enemy like that. 'Inuyasha' Miroku thought bitterly, his hair covering his eyes as he bowed his head in shame. The time traveling priestess and the demon slayer besides him just wept as they deeply regretted their actions against the half demon.

"Once I get bored of Inuyasha's body, I'll turn him into a whore for a bunch of random demons. The thrill that overcomes me when I think of his face as he begs me for death." Naraku coldly continued, enjoying the look of despair on the faces of Inuyasha's former companions and the rage filled looks on Sesshomaru's and Kouga's faces as well. "And a desperate plea it will be. I have already seen that face once before, and I can't wait to see it again. I must say, the look of absolute desperation is quite becoming of him and I don't think I can get enough of it."

At the thought of Inuyasha giving Naraku that face caused Kouga's eyes to bleed red and his fangs to grow. However, before he could attack Naraku, a white flash passed by him and striked Naraku's barrier.

Sesshomaru's eyes were red and had no pupils in it. The markings were more pronounced as the DaiYoukai bore his fangs. Sesshomaru looked like he was about to transform into his full demon form and Naraku just stood amused by that.

"Naraku why are you telling us this?!" Miroku said, his voice thick with emotion, "Aren't you afraid that your words will come back to haunt you if we tell Inuyasha!"

"I'm telling you all this, because there's no chance you will ever see Inuyasha again. I'll make sure of it. Sure Inuyasha hates me, but he despises you just the same. He wants nothing to do with you all again." Naraku said smiling wickedly, "Meaning, if I kill Inuyasha off, you won't ever see him again. I'll tell you of his last moments of how he was raped by the demons once I was bored of his body. I won't even let you see his dead body."

"GIVE US BACK INUYASHA!" Kouga yelled, his pupils were also gone as well, his fangs enlarged as his claws also grew longer. Kouga gave out a battle roar before he leaped up and attacked Naraku's barrier. "NARAKU, GIVE US BACK INUYASHA!" Kouga cried out as he beat against the barrier along with Sesshomaru. Kouga's voice sounded so raw as the sounds of his roar reflected the pain that he felt in his heart over the wicked fate that was laid in store for his former rival. "INUYASHA!"

Seeing how violently the DaiYoukai and the wolf demon pounded on the barrier as they tried to break it open, Naraku chuckled darkly at their attempts.

"Well, it seems that I must go now" Naraku said with a taunting look on his face, "I can't leave Inuyasha alone too long without my presence. He must be reminded who he belongs to. Until next time." With that said, Naraku just simply floated up from where he already was in the sky and moved away.

Sesshomaru and Kouga attempted to chase after him, but Naraku was too fast and they were too slow. Just like they were with their realization of the serpent demon's deception.

Just the thought of the InuHanyou caused Kouga to stop as he fell to his knees. As flashes of his memories with Inuyasha before his eyes, Kouga roared before slamming his fist into the ground multiple times.

Inuyasha being close to his face as they argued over Kagome. And the times when they weren't throwing insults at each other, Inuyasha would listen and talk with him as if they were on the same team. Kouga also remembered the times Inuyasha and him always had each other's backs in battle, and made crude remarks to each other whenever the other was attacked.

Kouga punched the ground even harder as those memories flashed before his eyes. "DAMMIT. NARAKU, GIVE INUYASHA BACK TO US! GIVE HIM BACK!

Behind him, the InuHanyou's former travel companions just wept bitterly as they reflected on the cruel way they treated their friend.

Hearing the heartfelt roar of the wolf demon and the sobs of his brother's former travel companions, Sesshomaru gripped his sword for a bit, before putting it in its sheath and walking away. Sesshomaru walked away from the scene and growled as his hand tightened into a fist.

Let me guess if the old monk was so loyal to Naraku, why did Naraku have him killed? That's because Naraku knew that once the old monk got his powers back, he'd try to kill Naraku. So of course, Naraku decided to use the monk as much as he could before having him killed. After all, that's something his character would do in the anime.
