"I don't think this is a good idea Wave." Storm told Wave.
"Just do it." Wave said. A second later she took a large gulp of air and suck her stomach, making her waist smaller.
"Like the problem was your stomach." Storm retorted. Still, the albatross grabbed the piece of clothing from the floor, surrounding Wave's feet, and pulled it up, trying to force the dress to fit her. Wave squealed but toughed it out, Storm even raised her from the floor, her feet no longer touching it, trying to make gravity help them with it. At least, until both of them heard a really loud Riiiiiiiip sound. Suddenly, the dress was no longer sinking against her skin, hurting her, but Wave was absolutely livid.
"My clothing, you careless piece of..." She snapped.
"I told you it was a bad idea. It's not my fault that you don't listen!" Storm interrupted, which only caused her to scream louder at him.
These dresses were from when she was around 16. She had not added much if any height since then, now 25, but she had definitely packed a loooooot more mass. Thanks to her weight training, she had added at least a couple sizes everywhere: boobs, ass, thighs were big and well shaped; shoulders and arms, though less noticeable by comparison. Her waist had remained more or less the same size wise, but fitter now showing off her abs and she was using bandages again to push her boobs down a bit and make them more manageable, there was no way she was going to be able to wear those old dresses.
Once Wave vented her frustration a bit, Storm said "You got yourself a dress the other time. Why not wear it again?"
"I left it at Cream's house."
"Go and get it." Storm said with a shrug.
"Don't you think I would have done that already if I could?!" Wave snapped at him.
"What's the matter? I thought you were besties." He replied.
Wave sighed loudly. Cream was, 9 times out of 10, the best girl she had met. But that 1 time, always involved how she was an aggressive shipper. If Cream caught a whiff that Wave was going to another formal dance with Tails, she first wouldn't let her repeat dresses, because a girl should always get a new one for any special occasion (something Wave herself thought it was the dumbest shit ever), then drag her through several stores to find the perfect dress for the event, again, basically turning her into a doll who she could play dress up with. Wave dreaded that.
"Look, I can't." Wave said, clutching her head.
"Do you even want to go? Why don't you cancel or decide on going someplace else?"
"Would you shut up?! It's obvious that anything you can think of now, I already thought of it. I can't OK?!?!" Wave snapped to him.
In truth, she was angry at herself, not Storm but was taking it on him. She didn't even know what it was about, when Tails got an invitation to somewhere, and it looked like he didn't want to go, but Wave interpreted that as him being ashamed of her, of their relationship, so she pushed and pushed until Tails gave in. It wasn't until then that she figured out what it was about, and at that point, how could she step back? She was too prideful to do so. What followed was just screaming, without really a point, between the two elder Babylonians.
"SHUT UP!" That was Jet, their leader, interrupting them… and Amy Rose? With a sewing machine in her hand? It looked like Jet wanted to say something else, but something was stopping him. At least until Amy came and tugged some of his feathers.
"Don't you have something to tell her?"
"Me?" Wave was confused. Then, Jet shoved her a bag with… dresses?
"I raided a place and I didn't even notice I also dragged these dresses. It seems you need one too. Amy, help her with that." He ordered.
"Wait wait wait wait." Wave didn't want to have to deal with Amy. She was the most protective of the group and the most vocal of her disdain of Wave.
"I am not one of your Rogues, Jet." Amy rebutted at him. That immediately made his veins pop on his forehead, then stare directly into her eyes.
Wave thought this was her chance to escape, but Storm noticed her intentions and grabbed her with both her arms, lifting her from the floor. "Let me go!" She demanded.
"Nope." Was all Storm said with a massive smile.
"Go and help Wave… please." Jet struggled with the last word.
"That wasn't that bad, was it?" Amy replied, then wrapped her own arms on Wave and moved her to another room. Wave wasn't even touching the floor and she wasn't able to resist. She could only brace for impact.
Shortly after
"This isn't horrible." Wave thought. Amy had done the same as Cream, just not as forcefully. The dresses didn't exactly fit her, but Amy was able to adjust them enough that they fit her better at the moment, and the suture was so well done, people would not notice unless they looked really closely. She was just done with a sky blue dress, which fitted her like a glove. She even adjusted the hole so her butt feathers were free. The swallow gave a little spin, checking herself on the mirrors, then said. "Shouldn't I wear something more revealing? Maybe a lower cut for my clea…"
"Do you want to impress Tails or someone else?!" Amy answered, rather angry. "I promise you, Tails would prefer you wearing less flashy clothes." She added, less angry. "As much as I can anyway. Those freaking curves." Amy cursed.
Amy had chosen the dresses herself, choosing pretty and modest ones: no low cut for cleavages, no string support to show off shoulders, no cut on the leg area that leaves one of the legs almost completely uncovered, etc. Straight dresses that were not form fitting and reached only a little above a knees.
But Wave's curves… her tiny waist, large ass, wide hips and thick thighs, unless you were actively trying to make her look bad, she was going to turn heads wearing any dress. At least she seemed to have more average boobs, but those bandages she noticed today for the first time looked suspicious.
Amy thought about trying to actively sabotage her looks, but Wave was too sharp for something like that to work. Not only that, she promised herself that she would be supportive of this relationship, until Wave really gave her reasons to reject her. So far, she has been good for Tails, as much as she hates to admit it.
Amy's overreaction didn't go unnoticed by Wave. And a part of her wanted to challenge her or something, but she chose not to. She was scared. She had no problem teasing or making fun of Amy when their friends would stop her from doing something rash, literally holding her back. Here, both alone, without anything to help her escape? Wave chose not to push her luck. And she still solved her current problem.
"Thanks." Wave felt like she had to.
"There is one last thing." Amy said, as she activated a music speaker, playing a classic tune. Then, Amy extended her hand to her. "Let's practice dancing."
"Seriously?" Wave had a hard time taking this seriously.
"I saw you dance last time. Tails was practically dancing with a ragdoll instead of a partner. Can't have that, can we?"
That earned a glare from Wave, but she grabbed that hand, well aware she was not wrong.
