Movie Subchapter 2: Fun at the I-Expo
"Welcome, esteemed guests of all walks of life, to the I-Expo Early Access Event. All guests may experience the privileges of all that I-Island has to offer. Games, Relaxation, Tours, Food, and more are ongoing, and usage of Quirks is allowed within Island bounds. Have a wonderful I-Expo!" The PDA announced, as the small groups of UA students went through the checkpoint. The first was All Might and Izuku. After that, the Sports Festival Trio came through. Finally, the Yaoyorozu Group passed.
"So, Quirk usage is allowed here...?" Katsuki spoke with a sharky grin.
"Yes, though it'll mostly be at the attractions," Shoto replied. "The security here would restrain you if you tried to attack someone. Trust me, I've seen it plenty of times."
However, Goku was looking around at the attractions with awe in his eyes. It's one thing to look at it through picture books, it's another thing to see it right in front of his eyes. Though his nose started to sniff around the air, and that sealed his fate.
"Woah, what's that delicious smell...?" Goku asked.
"I-Island has restaurants, though a few are open to Early Access guests. They're pretty good, I suppose," the Ice-Fire student remarked.
"I must simply have it in my belly!" The Saiyan was enthralled, as he sprints towards the nearest cafe. Katsuki scoffs, while Shoto can't help but snicker.
"Poor predictable Son-san. One of the best among us, and yet so easily drawn to food..." He spoke softly with a soft smirk, as the orange-gi kid disappeared into the cafe.
"Whatever. I'm gonna go have some fun here, and show how utterly badass I am!" Katsuki made his way into the attractions.
"Hmm, I have a few more hours left to burn," Shoto remarks to himself, as he wanders around.
The three were quite recognizable. It had made it harder for Goku to enjoy his food in peace, as there are numerous people, old and young, Japanese and Foreigner, who recognized him as the Champion of the Sports Festival. And unlike the mainland, there's no Denkiken to help him out. Though it barely registers anything to the Saiyan, as he scarfs down all that he eats, like American Styled Continental Breakfasts, cinnamon rolls, maple bars, the works. Though he only has a budget of 75000 Yen, and he has to stretch that out over two days, which means that he had already spent nearly ¥15000 before he had to stop.
For Katsuki, he had fun just letting loose after having to restrain himself during his tenure at UA. Some recognized him as the ferocious fighter who had attempted to nuke the Champion, others recognized him as being a part of Mirko's march.
As for Shoto, since he had to come to the I-Expo so often, usually with an Endeavor Sidekick like Burnin, he's already well recognized by the staff, though a few remarked that he was the one that gave the Champion some trouble during the Final Match of the Sports Festival. This was the first time he had true independence, and so, he did join the attractions to just enjoy them.
With the Yaoyorozu Group last through the gate, the three were planning something a bit more unique with their trip.
"Wow, this place is so big!" Ochako reacted with shock as she looked around, with many attractions and the giant skyscrapers dominating the scape in front of the trio. "So many places to go, yet so little to see...!"
"So, what's the plan, Yaomomo?" Kyoka asked.
"Personally, I'm feeling a little peckish, so we should first go to the cafe. I'll buy you two brunch as well, my treat to you," Momo replied with a smile.
"Wha-?! B-But Yaoyorozu-san! You don't need to do that for us!" the brown-haired girl protested, though it's met with her ponytail friend shaking her head gently.
"But I will do it, Uraraka-san, and the same goes for you, Jiro-san. Because you two are good friends, and that's what friends are for."
"I can't complain about it, though still, that's pretty cool of you." Kyoka smiled, as the three approached the cafe. They weren't surprised to see who was inside.
"Hello, Goku-kun!" Momo called out, catching Goku's attention real quick, and to an extent, Kyoka, considering the usage of kun instead of san, and her using his given name instead of his family name. Of course, the first place Goku had to go was the cafe, though it at least makes sense. And it's honestly pretty funny to see Goku with his mouth full like a squirrel, full of maple bars and cinnamon rolls alongside some hash browns and bacon strips. Though it's still unnerving to see him just eat that without any problems, let alone swallowing it like an orca swallowing a small school of fish.
"Oh, Momo! Hi! And hello to you too, Ochako and Kyoka!" Goku came to their group.
"Hi, Goku-kun!" Ochako excitedly greeted.
"Hey, Goku," Kyoka greeted with a more chill tone. "So, you were hungry, too?"
"What can I say? I just love eating!" Goku replied with a chipper tune.
"I can certainly say that I understand that well about you," Momo remarks with a slight chuckle. "After our brunch, we were thinking about going to the pavilion to look at the Support Items they're displaying. Would you like to join up with us?"
"Sure! It's not like I have much to do anyways, since there's so much to explore!"
"I know, right?!" Ochako expressed, with the other girls chuckling at the excitement of these two.
"Then it seems like it's a date," Kyoka joined in with a joking grin.
"Of course!" Momo chimed in.
Soon, the four began to eat again, with Goku finishing his plates, while the other two ended their singular plate, and Momo having a second plate for herself. After which, they made their way to an aqua-colored pavilion. As they walked, looking in awe of the Support Items present within the place, Kyoka's ears twitch, as she heard a familiar voice, and one that's unfamiliar, and it's that of a woman. For Goku, however, his energy sensing had improved considerably, as it had detected two beings close to one another, one of which he immediately picked out as Izuku. For whatever reason, he's able to see his life energy as an exceptionally bright green flame right next to a very light blue flame.
"Uh oh, Uraraka? I think I've picked up Midoriya, and he's talking with another girl," the earjacks girl said, as the bubbly gravity girl suddenly got emotionless, replaced with a rather scary blank expression.
"Really?" was all that their friend replied with. "Well, perhaps he's having fun."
As if they were a unified shadow, the four finally found Izuku, and in front of him was a beautiful woman, tall and cute with a cheerful disposition. Kyoka, naturally, was much more suspicious about the friendly interactions between the two. However, Momo had figured that this wasn't actually a romantic relationship forming, considering she knew those flames due to her relationship with the Saiyan, though the wall of excited chatter crumbled between the two groups when Ochako first spoke.
"Looks like you're having fun, Deku-kun," Ochako said, radiating a jealous coldness from herself.
"Wha-?! Uraraka-san?! What are you doing here?!" Izuku incredulously blurted out, causing the tall, blonde girl to look at the group in confusion.
"It looks like you were having fun," responded the gravity girl. Clearing her throat and trying to remove the smirk off her face, Momo had reestablished her neutral face.
"Y-Yaoyorozu-san? You, too...?" The poor broccoli haired boy found himself caught in her hawk-like eyes.
"Looked like you were having fun, Midoriya-san," Momo responded.
"Were you having fun, Izuku?" Goku had asked, innocuously.
"We had heard everything, Midoriya, so there's no use lying to us," Kyoka waved her earjacks.
"Not only Jiro-san's earjacks, but Goku-kun's senses... The ultimate spy duo...!" Izuku muttered to himself as he had three glares and a curious stare aimed right at him.
"Hmm, Izuku, do you know these people?" The woman had asked.
"Oh, right! They're my classmates. I just hadn't expected them to be here so early," the green-haired teen said, as he moved in between the woman and his classmates. "This woman is just a friend of mine, Melissa. She's the daughter of the head scientist here!"
"Just a friend?" The earjacks girl repeated with a heavy dripping of doubt in her voice. "I thought you would be with All Might, since he had sponsored you to come along."
"O-oh, he excused Melissa and me to have me take a tour around the Island!" Izuku replied. "I can, but also can't understand why Aizawa-sensei would announce it so blatantly...!"
"Yeah, that makes sense," Goku drops in. "Whatever is going on between you and All Might is no business of mine, Izuku. I'm just glad you've been taking your training seriously!" His eyes gleamed as he noticed the anklets and wristbands that Izuku were wearing. Unlike his first set he handed to his friend, they were thin but still very heavy.
"I concur with Goku-kun's reasoning. What partnership is happening with Midoriya-san isn't something I wish to dive into," Momo nodded, picking up on Goku's attempts at deescalation.
"T-thank you, Yaoyorozu-san!" Izuku bowed in thanks.
"I've heard a fair bit about you, Son Goku. Your friend was telling me a lot about you, and I'm impressed with how well you've handled yourself!" Melissa spoke up as she looked at the Saiyan. "Though I don't believe I've heard about your friends! We could go to a cafe nearby that sells tea!"
"I think I know which cafe you're talking about," the tall ponytailed girl said. "It's an open concept cafe right on the edge of the pavilion, a bit further out from the airport terminal."
"Yep, that's the same place I was talking about!" Melissa happily answered, as she wandered towards the tea cafe, with the band of six moving along. Izuku was thankful they weren't prying deeper into the connection. The girls decided to take a table, while Goku and Izuku took a table away from them.
"So, UA does hands-on internships... How did that go for you all?" Melissa asked.
"Oh, I just did some basic exercises and went on a few patrols!" Ochako replied, back to her normal self.
"I played a part of a hostage situation one time. Otherwise, I was mostly helping out with evacuating, but it was awesome," Kyoka said with enthusiasm.
"Wow, that's all so incredible!" Melissa spoke with a jubilant tone.
"I ended up being a part of some hair care commercials," Momo responded, obviously embarrassed with that particular accolade. "Though we have also hosted a shelter."
"Right, I had heard what happened over at the Hosu Ward. It sounds like a scary experience! And yet, it sounds like you were quite the fearless woman!"
"I appreciate your compliments, Melissa. And to tell you the truth, we all felt fear when it was going down, but our first priority was to help the people inside our shelter."
"The three of you are going to be amazing Heroes, I can just tell!" Melissa's radiant comment had helped soften the three girls' opinions towards her.
In the meanwhile, Izuku and Goku had their own conversation.
"I see that you've gotten a new set of weighted gear, Izuku," Goku remarked with a slight smirk. "It'll just make me all the more excited when we eventually will spar together!"
"I'm not going to let you have all the fun, Goku-kun," Izuku remarked with a small smirk. However, since this was the first time in a while that he was talking one-on-one with his friend, his demeanor turned to slight fear that he held back. "Though... I did have a nightmare about you, about a month or so ago."
"Hmm? What happened to me?" Goku asked, trying to be as quiet as possible.
"A frail man approached me, warning me about the danger you're in. Because of someone planning something involving you..."
"This is a grave nightmare, indeed," Goku mused, as he is thinking about what to do next. "There's been something I want to try out. Meditate with me and we can continue our conversation without the others hearing in on what's going on." That specific phrasing tipped Kyoka off, as she elected to eavesdrop. If it wasn't for that declaration of secrecy, she wouldn't have cared what's going on.
"Huh...?" The green-haired boy was wondering what he had in mind. "I-I guess I could give it a shot..."
"Just think about me while you meditate. I'll think about you when I start to meditate." As he says this, Goku started to clear out his mind, except for Izuku. On his end, he slowly does the same, though he keeps Son Goku in mind. As they meditated, they start to appear in their respective subconscious realm.
"W-What the-? How is this possible...?" Izuku looked around. In front of him was Goku, but all around him was a dark sea, full of stars and galactic dust clouds. There's nothing around, but what the two boys had, and it was a white platform that fades out not far from either of them.
"Hey, it worked!" Goku felt proud of himself, their bond was strong enough that he could start communicating with his friend. "Alright, Izuku, what do I need to know?"
"My brother's wicked machinations involved you, Son Goku-san," A voice called out, with one of the stars, dim white in color, coming down to side with the green-haired boy as it soon manifests into a frail man with white hair. This came to the shock of the Saiyan.
"Huh? Who are you?" Goku asked, wondering who was the man cloaked with a white aura was, though he didn't answer. After some consideration, and a good look at the physically fleshed boy, Yoichi nods.
"He deserves the full truth for him to truly understand this situation, Midoriya-kun," he said, looking at the Ninth Bearer with a small smile.
"A-Are you sure, Yoichi-san?" Izuku was clearly uncomfortable with what the apparition had told him. So, this man is called "Yoichi"...
"The others may disagree, but I am certain he can be trusted. He's as righteous as I had expected." He then looks at Goku. "You can keep a big secret, can you?"
"Yes, I can... Yoichi, was it?" The Saiyan replied. Yoichi smiled. With a deep sigh, Izuku looked with a little bit of fear and determination.
"I was born Quirkless, Son Goku-kun. And for all my life, until only about a few months ago, I had no Quirk. That was, until I met All Might because of a Sludge Villain attacking Musutafu that day, taking Kacchan as a hostage..."
"That explains why I had seen you and All Might at Takobah Beach," Goku spoke with a hint of realization. "So All Might was training you so you could have whatever Quirk you currently hold?"
"Exactly. It was also why I seemed... 'cowardly' when we first met, until we saved Uraraka-san together. I had barely any control over One For All because I had only just received the Quirk. Heck, until you talked with me after our Quirk Apprehension Test, I had no idea how I could have controlled its power!"
Goku was shocked to learn at least part of the full truth. "'One For All'...? That's a weird Quirk name..."
"As for what I have told you friend here, Son Goku-san, is that my brother, All For One, has been on the move, trying to take your Quirk in a bid to take back One For All. He demands nothing less than absolute power for himself, and absolute loyalty from his followers. Please, be careful, because I do not want to see you fall into his grasp as many have," Yoichi spoke.
"Whoever this... 'All For One' person is, I won't let him defeat me that easily," Goku spoke with confidence, as his eyes glow a vivid yellow. "I have been practicing to maintain this form of power. I can hold it for a couple minutes with little strain now. Though I can push it even more, I'll risk falling into a berserk state."
The power that Goku extruded from his body was nothing short of incredible, especially for a non-One For All User. While Izuku had felt some of the power that granted Goku such power and fury, it was the first time he had felt a not insignificant chunk of it with such clarity, and there was an especially heavy pressure within the mental realm. Yoichi smiled even more.
"Perhaps I was a bit too worried about my brother getting to you. I can tell that, regardless of what your power is, your will is nothing short of herculean. Though still, be weary of the man. He had committed so many terrible deeds and ruined countless innocent lives in his quest for conquest. This will be a trial that could come at any time and you might even die. Even with all that, will you be willing to oppose him?"
"Absolutely. The fact that he thinks he can get away with his deeds makes me sick. Even if I die fighting him, it'll be worth it if I can stop him." Goku's answer was resolute, and without hesitation.
"Goku-kun! A-are you absolutely sure?!" Izuku was scared of losing one of his best friends. However, there was a steely stare from the Saiyan that answered the question: Yes, even if he does die, this world is worth saving.
"Thank you, Son Goku-san. If you do manage to live through it, I will have no idea on how I can thank you," Yoichi spoke.
"I'm just doing what feels right... I'll see you back in the real world, Izuku. And don't you worry, no one will know about One For All, but for the record, you have earned it. I'm glad that you were the one to inherent it, because you are a true Hero," Goku said with a grin, as he soon gets himself out of his meditation.
...Out with four girls and two boys surrounding the two. Their faces were filled with fear and confusion, because all they saw was Goku and Izuku scrunching in intense focus.
"Son Goku, are you alright?" Melissa spoke with concern.
"Sorry, sorry, I was just meditating with Izuku! It's that we had a lot to think about over our first term, about everything that had happened," Goku reassured the six, though he hadn't yet seen the two boys.
"Yeah... I'm sorry, too," Izuku responded, blushing a little as he realized just how close Ochako was to him. "I was also thinking back over the last few months."
"That does make sense, considering how turbulent this entire term was," Momo thought about it. "We were just worried you two were unconscious for an unknown reason."
"Still, don't scare us like that, Deku-kun and Goku-kun!" Uraraka spoke out in an indignant tone.
"Or at the very least, warn us you were gonna go braindead for a couple of minutes like Kaminari does," Kyoka snickered a little.
"C'mon, that's a low blow, Jiro!" Kaminari spoke up, startling Goku.
"Eh? Kaminari? Mineta? What are you doing here?" He asked the two, dressed up as waiters.
"Well, after you seven had left, Aizawa-sensei allowed the rest of us to leave after the bell rang! Well, at least those of us who had Day 1 tickets and Work Passes," Mineta spoke up. "Though I had thought I died because I saw such a heavenly girl...!" He looked at Melissa, who is more confused at his comment, though the punk girl glared at him in disgust.
"Mineta-kun! Kaminari-kun! Right now is not the time to be talking, it's time for working!" A familiar voice rang out, as it shocked the group, especially scaring the two away from the table. In front of them was none other than Tenya Iida, wearing a waiter's attire.
"Huh?! Iida-kun?!" Ochako blurted out, her eyes nearly popping out.
"Iida-kun!" Izuku similarly blurted out, though he had a happier tone.
"It's good to see you all again after what had happened. But we'll get the chance to talk when I am finished with my shift. My family was invited, though I was allowed to go only if I volunteered my time helping these fine people out," Tenya bowed to them, as he handed the six a menu. "For now, is there any drinks I may get you ladies and gentlemen?"
There was a low rumbling that had caught the attention of the group of six, though it caught Izuku's attention most of all.
"I'm sorry, Iida-kun, but I should head out," he said, as he got up and fled towards the Entertainment District.
"What was that about?" Goku wondered to himself.
"It's most likely that a rambunctious kid is enjoying themselves at the Villain Attack game, Son-kun, it's nothing to worry about," the blue-haired teen said. This had caught the Saiyan's attention.
"Villain Attack...?" Suddenly, he stood up, the prospect of joining in the game was too strong. "Sorry, Tenya, but I gotta join in, as well! Hope to see you again!" And soon, he ran in the same direction as Izuku, leaving Tenya a little embarrassed, before he grabbed the menu and turned towards the girls.
"I'll order four Imperial Gold Tip teas, and hand the bill off to me," Momo spoke.
"Right away, Yaoyorozu-kun!" Tenya bowed as he ran off to get their orders processed.
"If it wasn't the food, then it would be the fighting that'd draw him in," Kyoka said with a small smirk, shaking her head. "I know Goku's pretty smart, but his excitement makes him act like a kid sometimes."
"Though in all fairness to Goku-kun, I do thoroughly enjoy my spars with him," Momo remarked. "He's been getting me to think more about combos and techniques, both with my martial arts and my Quirk."
"Though I'd prefer he not fire his Kamehameha thing at you, Yaomomo," her friend remarked with annoyance, catching Ochako off guard, Melissa looking a bit surprised.
"Wait, what? Goku-kun used that beam attack on you?!" She stated, shocked at the accusation. Momo sighed, since it didn't seem that bad until Kyoka put it like that.
"It was a sparring match with his father, Uraraka-san. And about a week earlier, I had wanted Son to spar with me, since I was in a bit of a depressive episode. When he fired that Kamehameha at me, I felt something, like I could directly manipulate that energy for myself. But it's still unusual..." She spoke as she opened and closed her hands. "I have not created anything that could reflect it, but it still worked!"
"Was it the same beam that Goku fired at the end of the Sports Festival?" Melissa jumped in, as she's curious now. That Sports Festival finale was worthy of being immortalized within the history books.
"Well, yes and no. Yes, it's the same move. But the beam he fired during the sparring session was only as large as one of his hands. The one at the Sports Festival was as large as both of his hands," Kyoka replied.
"If Son-kun had used that version on me, I wouldn't doubt it would hurt immensely. It's not to say that the smaller Kamehameha didn't hurt either, but he was consciously trying to not harm me during our sparring sessions. He may love to fight, but it's clear he is trying to be careful whenever he fights one of us," the ponytailed girl affirms.
"Goku is an enigma. He is an awesome guy, but at the same time, he feels intense when he gets into the fighting spirit. I just hope you know what you're doing, Yaomomo, because I don't want to see you get badly hurt," the earjack girl comments.
"I appreciate your concerns, Jiro-san," Momo smiled brightly. "But you don't need to worry about me."
Tenya returns with a tray full of tea and a sugar cube bowl.
"Here you are, ladies! I hope you enjoy your teas!"
"Thank you so much, Iida-san!" The ponytail girl spoke out first.
"Such an expensive tea..." Ochako muttered to herself.
"Don't be a stranger and return to us as soon as you can," Kyoka said with a small smirk.
"You all flatter me too much with your kindness!" Tenya replied.
"I'll see you at the Expo, Iida!" Melissa smiled as she took a couple sugarcubes for her tea. The four will enjoy their tea before they go off towards the source of the explosion.
In the Entertainment District, a crowd has gathered around a small arena, looking at the game in awe. Predictably, the explosive sounds were because of one Katsuki Bakugo, enjoying himself as he blasts every bot in sight.
Though while the Villain Attack game was going on, there were two people watching in attention. It was a smaller, pudgy man wearing a plain blue shirt, beige pants, shoes, and a cap with the name "Slump" written on it; and a small, innocent-looking girl wearing a red shirt, blue short overalls, white shoes with red socks, and a red-pink cap with wings, this one bearing the name "Arale".
"That game looks so fun, Doraemon!" The small child, Arale, said to her "older brother".
"Indeed, though I don't think girls like you should be playing that. It looks quite dangerous," Senbei replied.
"Now wasn't that something?! The Hero known as Bakugo took down all of these Villains in only fifteen seconds!" The announcer spoke out.
And with that, Izuku finally arrived, the two are now face-to-face after the Finals, with Goku coming in soon after.
"Looking to give this a try, Deku?" Katsuki said in a cocky tone, a sharkish grin unleashed upon his face. "I had just beaten the record!"
"I-I just heard your explosions and thought it was a Villain Attack, Kacchan," Izuku admitted, to which his not-so-best friend scoffed.
"You're too trigger-happy, Deku. No Villain would actually be dumb enough to attack this place, and you of all the nerds in our class should know that!"
As the two were talking, they didn't notice a small girl walk past him. Actually, even Goku didn't notice! That was, until...
"What's this? It looks like a new challenger had stepped up to the plate! Boy, you're a small fry!" The announcer called out, as Senbei ran towards the three, horrified.
"Hey, have you three gentlemen seen a small girl?" he asks, slightly out of breath.
"Eh? Um, sorry, we hadn't. Can you tell us what she looks like?" Izuku asked the good Doctor.
"She's got purple hair, blue eyes, wears short blue overalls, and wears a cap bearing her name!"
"Oh, I think I see her!" Goku points to the television, causing poor Senbei to shriek out of his skin, while Izuku looks on in shock, and Katsuki looked irritated. Indeed, that was Arale, smiling as she stretches, with a countdown going down.
"No no no, I told her it was dangerous!" The good doctor was in full panic mode.
And soon, the game begins.
...And it's soon obvious that the cry for help wasn't needed.
"Kiiiin!" Arale cried out as she zoomed at sonic speed, tagging each robot and declaring "Tag! You're it!"
Goku looked at the TV projecting the game, his jaw hanging right open as he looked at Arale's progress, with Izuku looking at the contestant with a similar level of shock.
"And I thought I was strong as a kid, I think she's running laps around me when I was at that age!" Goku commented. He was in awe of this little girl's absurd strength.
"N-No kidding...!" Izuku added on. "Well, I don't know how you've been as a kid, but still!"
"Well, I'll be! This young lady had gone the distance and scored herself the High Score! Give a round of applause for the Hero with the name Arale Norimaki!" The announcer roared in excitement as she comes out, the Villain Attack game's newest high score is six seconds faster than Katsuki's best.
"What the actual Hell?! How is that brat so much faster than me?!" Katsuki asked incredulously.
"That was so much fun!" Arale said with a smile on her face, as Senbei ran to hug her.
"Don't scare me like that again, Arale!" Senbei said, letting her go after the hug. "Sorry to trouble you three with what had happened..."
"Oh, it's okay! Er, what was your name again...?" the green-haired teen asked.
"Apologies, I am Senbei Norimaki, and the small girl's my younger sister, Arale Norimaki."
As Arale looks at the Hero teens, something about the one in the orange gi seems... weirdly familiar.
"Hmm, I feel like I know you from somewhere...?" Arale tilted her head in curiosity.
"Sorry, but I don't think we've met before now? I'm Son Goku, nice to meet you," Goku offered a hand to shake... only to accidentally knock Arale's head clean off her neck, showcasing the wires under her head.
"Eek! Oh no, Arale!" Senbei shouted.
"Goku-kun, what did you do?!" Izuku was horrified about seeing a small girl's head fly off her neck.
"I don't know!" Goku was freaked out, especially when the headless body of Arale went towards her head, as he alongside the broccoli-haired teen involuntarily let out a short scream!
"Whoopsy daisy!" the robot girl said in a nonchalant tone, as she finally got to her head and picking it up, putting her head back on with a distinct click! "You're a funny Hero, Son Goku-kun!"
"W-What's going on, here?!" Izuku asked. "I-Is she a human robot?!"
As for Katsuki, he cannot even dare to look away. Whatever is going on, he doesn't want any part of this as he just looks on with a heightened sense of bewilderment.
"Oh, I hadn't expected you to be here, Dr. Slump!" called out a voice, that being Melissa, as she walked towards him, with Ochako, Kyoka, and Momo following closely behind. "How have you been?"
"My Arale's gotten herself in the Villain Attack game..." Senbei felt a drop of sweat drop, as he awkwardly shook the back of his head, while Arale was distracted, with she and Goku mirroring each other's movements. The three girls walked around, catching a glimpse of the cute small girl as they reunite with the boys.
"Oh, no! Do we need to have her go through a check-up?" The American woman asked Arale, who turned towards her.
"Nope! I'm all good!" Arale confirmed. "My battery still has six more hours before next recharge, my servos are operating at normal capacity, and I'm operating correctly!"
"Wait, what...?" Kyoka thought to herself, her face scrunched in confusion. "Did I just hear that girl say that she has batteries and servos...?"
"That's a good girl!" Melissa pats the head of the human android, who beamed a great smile in return, before turning towards Senbei. "I never would have expected the Dr. Slump to be here! You're one of the leading scientists in robotics, you know!"
"Hush! I don't want more people knowing about Arale's, erm, robotics..." the good doctor hushed her, hunching the female scientist in a huddle... even though Kyoka can hear every bit of this conversation, though it's rude doing it to a stranger. Midoriya and Kaminari? Absolutely acceptable. "Though yes, Arale wanted to see more of the world outside of Penguin Island, so I'd thought to take her to a festival that was nearby. I had to promise to the missus that I would pick something up for Turbo."
While the two held their conversation, the android girl's eyes lock onto Momo, as she approached the tall teen, with Goku slipping out as all eyes were on the small robot girl now.
"Hmm?" Momo looked down to see Arale, lowering herself down to get to eye level. "How can I help you?"
"Are you friends with that Son Goku guy?" Arale asked, to which the teen had a small smile.
"You could say that. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, and I go to Hero School with him. My Quirk is the ability to create anything I need, given I know what material it's made of. If I may ask, what is your name?"
"Yay! I'm Arale Norimaki! I would say I'm a quirky girl!" Arale was excited to be friends with this 'Momo' character, because she is already friends with Goku, the two shaking hands. As for the Hero aspirant, she can't help but smile with this contagious happiness the small girl was feeling. That was, until...
"Doraemon, can I fire rockets from my chest like my new friend Momo-chan?" Arale asked, innocuously, assuming she could create missiles like she would see in some comic books. However, that question without that context absolutely shocked everyone present, with Momo and Kyoka bearing the largest blushes of embarrassment. Katsuki had to stifle a snicker at this comment.
"W-What kind of question was that?!" Kyoka had only that to ask in the most incredulous tone she could muster, leaving Senbei nervously chuckling.
"I am so sorry, ladies... I keep telling her that's an inappropriate thing to say," he replied. However, Melissa didn't glare at Arale, but instead at her creator. Clearly a little bit of Arale's behavior was rubbed on by his nurturing, though she seemed more innocent about her question than perverted.
In the meanwhile...
"I'm gonna try this game!" Goku thought to himself, jumping over the railing and landing down next to the announcer. "Me next, please!"
"W-Woah! Alright, excitable guy!" She spoke, as she looks at the crowd. "Looks like we've got another challenger! If my eyes don't deceive me, it's Goku himself stepping up!"
The Saiyan focused, as he starts to loosen himself up. It's only now that his classmates, Melissa, and the Norimakis noticed.
"Give us a good show on 'go', okay? Three..."
His ki charged as he softly exhales, his hair lightly ruffling.
"Two..."
A white aura manifests around his body, as the announcer took a step back.
"One..."
He opens his eyes, sharpened as he looks around, spotting all the numerous robots around the field and in the pond.
"Go!"
As the word is said, the Saiyan rockets upwards, sending a shockwave of wind around where he used to be, as he flown up high in the sky! Looking down, he charges up some Ki energy in his hands, firing a volley of five down!
"Atatatata!" Goku shouted as he fired his Ki Blasts, blue energy balls raining down on the arena as they hit their marks, while he flies down and takes out the remaining bot targets hiding in the crevices. "Yaaaah!" was the last thing he said, before flying out of the smokescreen and landing next to the announcer, looking starstruck at the display.
"Woah... All that in seven seconds...? That is absolutely incredible!" The announcer yelled. "This challenger's a natural-born Hero! Give it up for Goku!"
Amidst the crowd roaring that could rival a rock concert, the students looked at Son, a few of them giving their applause while Katsuki scoffed. Of course, that Monkey had to score the best, though he wasn't absolutely upset about it. Arale had produced a noisemaker and is using it to celebrate her newfound friend's victory, while Shoto had finally come in in, smiling a little seeing his rival staying on top of his game.
"Hey, Izuku! Why don't you give it a try?" Goku beckoned his friend down.
"H-Huh? W-Well..." Izuku looked around, as he looks at Ochako giving him a firm nod and smile, and Melissa looking at him with curiosity.
"Another challenger? I guess that's the power of friendship for you! Well, that or peer pressure!" The Announcer spoke, as Izuku prepared himself, keeping his training weights on as he activates Full Cowl. "Alright, Deku! That is your name, right? Give these Villains what-for!"
And with that, the holder of One For All came in, guns blazing, as he accurately pinpointed where the Bots were, using 8% of One For All to move and strike at the bots. Of course, with the weights on his limbs, he is a bit slower, yet still quite fast. In that instant, Melissa saw movement eerily similar, though much slower, to what her Uncle Might would pull from all the archived footage David had on him, and unlike the footage from the Sports Festival, he wasn't breaking anything. Soon, he finished the course.
"You aren't as impressive as Goku or that little girl, but a time of fourteen seconds is nothing to sneeze at!" The Announcer spoke as the crowd was more modest, clapping and hollering a little.
"Tch, you have improved, Deku..." Katsuki growled a little, though with Mirko's experience, he held back his worst venom.
"That's such a good score, Deku-kun!" Ochako loudly cheered out.
"Heheh, nice going, Izuku!" The Saiyan cheered on.
With that, the group sans Shoto and Katsuki went around I-Island, with Melissa providing the tour to the five. During which, Ochako demonstrated her Zero Gravity to allow Melissa to fly a little bit, Momo using her Creation to create a small set of matryoshka dolls, and Kyoka used her Earjacks to play some music from her phone. It was quite the fun time for these Hero Teens, going to museums and partaking in more games at the Entertainment District once in a while.
"The time is 6:00 PM. All shops and attractions will be closing down for today. We hope you enjoyed your time on I-Island!" The Public Speaker announced.
After all the fun that had gone on, the group approached a tired Mineta and Kaminari, who is just exhausted while Tenya stood attentive.
"Jeez, it was so busy, and it's still just the pre-opening...!" Minoru bemoaned.
"Tell me about it. I hadn't felt so exhausted since the Sports Festival! I don't even wanna think about tomorrow!" Denki cried out.
"Hey, Mineta-kun! Kaminari-kun! Iida-kun! Good work today!" Izuku cried out, as most of them looked happy. Hell, even Momo and Kyoka were happy despite approaching the rats.
"I've got a reward for you two," Melissa said, presenting two invitation tickets. "Just be sure to be on your best behaviors during the reception party, alright? I do not want you to get kicked out, but you cannot just pull your antics like you do back on the mainland."
"P-Party...?" Minoru stated, as if he was given ambrosia, as he hugged Kaminari.
"We've been rewarded for our hard work!" They said in unison. Despite their antics, the group can't help but smile at their brotherhood, with Tenya lightly patting his coworkers' shoulders.
"That's for your hard work, Mineta-kun and Kaminari-kun," Tenya said with a warm tone. "Thank you for your kindness, Melissa-san!"
AN: Now, this could be a bit controversial. The ability for Goku and Izuku to communicate through intense mediation is not how Image Training works, though at the same time, I think the Vestiges could also allow this communication to happen without the others being privy to what had happened. That's one of the major parts as to why I'd say this is not really canon like the chapters more closely following the manga. That and the fact I wanted to put in Dr. Slump and Arale. That being said, one thing I will never consider canon even for a movie is the idea of Fusion, because that requires Goku to have encountered a Metamoran, and since I'm still playing around the idea that it's a one-way trip from the Dragon Ball Multiverse to the MHA Universe, that'd mean the only beings that'd be there that would be manga canon would be Goku, and Bardock and Gine's spirit, though that's subject to change. That being said, I had toyed around with the concept before doing a more thorough rewrite of this fanfiction, since I genuinely want to play around more with Goku's Oozaru and Tail over trying to speedrun to Super Saiyan in contrast to Sacred Saiyan's interpretation. If you do want me to do that, I can do a non-canon writing where I play around with the concept of Goku teaching Class 1A Metamoran Fusion and see what kind of combos you'd get.
