Chapter 24, Part 1 - First Flames of Control

The infinite whiteness of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber hummed with tension, broken only by the crackle of energy flaring around Pan. Her crimson Kaioken aura burned wildly, flickering and surging as if fighting her every attempt to tame it. Her sweat-soaked gi clung to her frame, her breaths coming in sharp bursts as she struggled to steady herself against the chaotic force.

Across from her, Goku stood with his arms crossed, his calm red aura flickering faintly, a sharp contrast to Pan's instability. His tone was firm but encouraging as he spoke. "Kaioken isn't about brute force," he said. "You have to let it flow naturally. Fight against it, and it'll burn you out."

Pan gritted her teeth, her tail snapping behind her in frustration. "I've got this," she rasped, the defiance in her voice underscored by the determination blazing in her dark eyes.

"Slow down," Goku urged, stepping closer, his tone softening. "It's like swimming with a current. If you fight it, you'll drown."

Her aura flared violently, a sharp pulse of energy escaping her control and forcing her to stumble. She planted her feet firmly, digging her heels into the smooth floor as if willing herself not to fall. "I'm not giving up!" she growled, her voice edged with desperation and pride.

From the chamber's entrance, Vegeta observed silently, his arms crossed as his sharp eyes dissected every flicker of Pan's energy. "She's improving," he muttered, his voice low and critical. "But if she doesn't learn to master her emotions, the Kaioken will destroy her."

"She's getting the hang of it," Goku replied, his grin unshaken. "It's her first time, Vegeta. Cut her some slack."

Vegeta scoffed, his tail flicking sharply behind him. "This isn't a playground, Kakarot. If she can't handle the strain, she won't survive."

Pan overheard the exchange, her tail curling tightly around her waist as she steadied herself. "I'm right here," she snapped, her voice cutting through the air. "I can handle it. Watch me."

She closed her eyes, forcing her breathing to steady as she drew her energy inward. Slowly, her chaotic aura smoothed into a steady burn, the red flames stabilizing as her body adjusted to the relentless strain. Goku's eyes lit up with approval. "That's it," he said with a nod. "Feel the rhythm. Let the energy guide you."

Pan's movements grew sharper as her confidence built, each motion precise and controlled. For a fleeting moment, she felt a balance—a harmony she hadn't known before. She glanced at Goku, her determination blazing brighter. "What's next?" she asked.

"Let's see if you can maintain it while moving," Goku replied. "Kaioken isn't just for show. You've got to integrate it into your fighting."

Pan nodded, her aura flaring as she dropped into a low stance. With a burst of speed, she propelled herself forward, her strike cutting through the air toward Goku. He sidestepped effortlessly, chuckling. "Not bad, but don't rush in blindly. Use your speed. Blend it with your instincts."

She pivoted into a sweeping kick, her movements more deliberate now. Goku raised an arm, blocking the blow with ease, though the force made his aura ripple faintly. "Better," he said. "But remember, Kaioken burns through your energy fast. Stay focused."

From the sidelines, Vegeta's gaze remained critical, tracking her every move. "Her movements are still sloppy," he muttered, his tone sharp. "She's relying on the Kaioken instead of blending it with her natural flow."

Pan clenched her fists at the critique, her aura flaring brighter in defiance. With a sharp exhale, she forced her energy to stabilize once more. The room trembled faintly as her strikes became more precise, each attack honed by years of training and unrelenting Saiyan pride.

"Now we're getting somewhere," Goku said, catching her punch mid-air and nodding in approval. "Keep that focus. You're almost there."

But Pan's exhaustion began to show. Her breaths grew ragged, and her vision blurred as the strain of maintaining Kaioken wore on her. Her body screamed in protest, but her resolve burned brighter. "I'm not done yet!" she shouted, charging forward with renewed determination.

Her strikes grew sharper, her aura steadying as she pushed through her limits. Each punch and kick carried the weight of her Saiyan heritage and the unyielding will to prove herself. Goku grinned wider, deflecting her attacks. "That's it! You're getting it now!" he said, his voice brimming with pride.

Finally, Goku signaled a pause, stepping back as Pan's aura flickered and faded. She stood tall, her chest heaving, her gi drenched in sweat. Despite her exhaustion, her black eyes gleamed with a defiant spark. "Well?" she asked, her voice steady as she met Vegeta's gaze. "Still think I can't handle it?"

Vegeta's lips curled into a faint smirk, his tail flicking behind him. "You've got potential, brat," he said. "But don't think this means you've mastered anything. You've got a long way to go."

Pan rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the faint smile tugging at her lips. "Guess I'll just have to prove you wrong."

Goku laughed, stepping forward to clap her shoulder. "That's the spirit! You've made great progress. Now it's all about refining what you've learned."

The chamber fell silent, the faint hum of energy a lingering reminder of their efforts. Though the road ahead was long, the spark of accomplishment was undeniable. For Pan, this was just the beginning.
