"Well Twist Mountain is a lot nicer than the last time I was here." Ash reminisced, thinking back to when he fell out of the airship.
"I am still impressed you managed to free three Pokemon from my fathers grasp and escape out of the ship and survive." N admitted.
"Two, Deino and Golett." Rosa corrected.
"Technically it was four, they kept Lucario and I in separate cells, Deino, and Golett, and of course Zekrom." Ash pointed out.
"Rescued Pokemon aside, don't we still have to get through this mountain, and last I checked you only got out with help." Elliot pointed out.
"Then it's a good thing that I checked to see if they were still around." Ash said, seeing the base camp in the center of the mountain. "Last one down has to wash Garbodor!"
"H-hey don't joke like that!" Rosa exclaimed, as Ash slid down the slope.
"Ash Ketchum, the man of incredible entrances." Jeb said, walking over to Ash as he stood back up.
"Jeb, glad to see you're still here, I think. I thought you'd told me that this job would be done by now." Ash asked curiously.
"Yeah, we were but we found something that made us extend our expedition." Jeb said, leading Ash into one of the cabins. "Considering the adventures you have, you might have an idea of what this is."
"Glad to be of help, but I don't know how much help I would be." Ash admitted, as Jeb walked over to a sealed shock proof case. "Is it in there?"
"Yeah, but wait until you see it." Jeb said, unlocking the four locks on the case. "Take a look at what this is."
Jeb held out a half side of a circle with green, blue and orange segments along with some cloudy like design.
"Jeb, when did you find this?" Ash asked.
"I'm guessing by your reaction that you know more than you're letting on." Jeb commented. "We found it a few weeks ago, a beam of light shot up out of the snow and into the sky, wouldn't have found it even with Watchogs help otherwise."
"Okay, yeah you might have gotten yourself into something here." Ash said, checking the cabin. "Look I was in some ruins with the Sinnoh Champion Cynthia and a researcher named Burnett probably around that time when a beam of light shot out from an artifact we found."
"Plenty of ruins have linked artifacts." Jeb commented.
"Yeah, but these ruins had markings of Zekrom, Reshiram, Kyurem, Tornadus, Thundurus, and Meloetta even made the ruins rise out of the water." Ash commented.
"Wait whats this about Meloetta?!" Jeb asked in shock.
"Look, my point is, I think this is part of a bigger puzzle." Ash said. "I think you should take it too…"
Ash was interrupted as a large series of booms came from outside the cabin.
"That can't be good." Ash said, rushing back towards a window.
"Ash be careful if explosions went off there could be a chance of an avalanche!" Jeb said, resecuring the locks before rushing over to Ash. "What are those things?" Jeb asked seeing several armored trucks with a large red R on the side as well as helicopters in the air.
"Nothing good," Ash said, "All of those are Team Rockets."
"Any relation to Team Plasma?" Jeb asked.
"Only that they're both bad news, and I have a feeling if they're here its for one of four things, and I doubt its what me and my friends brought. Stay in here!" Ash said, before going outside.
"Well well well, now isn't this a surprise Ash." A man said walking up with his Persian.
"Giovanni." Ash muttered.
"You remember me, I'm flattered, you on the other hand are hard to forget, a pain in my operations across Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and now even here in Unova." Giovanni commented, as his personal squad walked around with the other researchers as well as Rosa, Elliot, and N.
"I'm getting really tired of being kidnapped!" Rosa argued, as the Team Rocket member shook her to quiet her.
"Now, I've been told what I'm looking for is in that cabin, so either get out of my way, or I will move you out of my way." Giovanni commented.
"Not happening, I'm not the same kid you beat back on Mount Silver." Ash said, grabbing a Pokeball. "Pikachu, stand guard, we both know if the boss is here, They are sure to not be far." Ash added slipping something to Pikachu before the electric type hopped back.
"Pi!" Pikachu said in agreement, squeezing back into the cabin.
"Very well, we'll play hardball." Giovanni commented. "Rhyperior come out now!"
"Garbodor let's go!" Ash called out, sending out his poison type.
"Rhyperior use Stone Edge!"
"Garbodor use Gunk Shot!" Ash called out.
Garbodor fired a shot of poisonous gunk at Rhyperior, landing a direct hit before being struck by rocks jutting out of the ground.
"Garbodor break free with a Body Slam!"
"Rhyperior use Hammer Arm!"
Garbodor pushed through the stone edge, slamming into Rhyperior before being struck by the rock type's arm slamming down on top of his head.
"You say you're a better trainer, and even have grown as one, but I have years of experience over you and you will never be able to stop me, especially with mistakes like using a poison type against a ground type!" Giovanni argued.
"With what ground type moves?" Ash asked. "Even you know you can't set one off without risking an avalanche on all sides. Now Garbodor push Rhyperior back with a multi fire Sludge Bomb!"
Garbodor raised his piped hand up, firing a series of Sludge Bombs out at Rhyperior with no ability for the rock type to push back.
"Persian use Shadow Claw!"
Persian leapt from Giovanni's side, slicing at Garbodor's arm, stopping the poison type's attack and causing them to recoil from the damage.
"Hey two on one isn't fair!" Rosa argued.
"Girl, I don't fight fair, I'm a crime boss." Giovanni argued, as a sound was heard from behind Ash, as Braviary flew off.
"And I've faced you and wanna be yous more than enough to know the win won't be here." Ash argued. "Whatever you're looking for is long gone, even I don't know where it's going."
"Lies!" Giovanni argued, rushing in, as Persian pinned Ash to the ground, finding the cabinet and the case empty.
"We're leaving." Giovanni said in anger.
"But sir, these trainers!" One of the larger members argued.
"Are of no concern to us, that Braviary took off with the researcher and piece of the Reveal Glass, that is our concern. Delta Squad fall back once we are clear." Giovanni ordered, getting into one of the armored cars.
A few minutes later
"Ash, just who was that, and how do you know him?" Elliot asked.
"And what was he after, something about the Reveal Glass?" Rosa asked.
"His name is Giovanni, and he's the boss of Team Rocket, and if he's here in Unova he's after a powerful Pokemon or more." Ash said. "Last time we saw him he was hunting a Pokemon called Mewtwo. As for the Reveal Glass, I have no idea what it is."
"It's a way to awaken the true forms of Pokemon." N commented. "My father for a time, thought it might be the way to finding the dragons and bringing them back, but we never managed to find a piece."
"I hate to say it, but even with Braviary, Jeb can't keep Team Rocket away for long." Elliot said. "They'll get that piece soon enough."
"Then it's a good thing I never gave it back." Ash said, holding out the half circle from his bag. "We get this to Driftveil with Cynthia and Professor Burnett, Jeb knows the plan too, we'll meet back up with him and Braviary once we're there."
"And then?" Rosa asked.
"Same as always, we stop the villains plan for taking over the world, can I count on you guys still?" Ash asked.
"Of course." Rosa said.
"Can't let you die alone." Elliot half joked.
"N, I get it, you don't want more fighting, and you want to separate yourself from what Team Plasma did, but if they succeed in using the Reveal Glass a lot more Pokemon could get hurt, and if they're after legendary power, we'll need both Reshiram and Zekrom's help." Ash plead.
"I will help if it's needed, but I don't want Reshiram to fight unless we need her to." N stated.
"I understand, and I promise they'll be a last resort." Ash assured. "Now let's go, we've got a long walk ahead of us."
