Steph thought she didn't sleep. Or that she almost didn't sleep. She didn't expect to see it was already noon. She must've been tired. When did she ever set the alarm?
She heard a knock on the door. There was no alarm.
Stephanie got up, stroked her sleeping sister one more time and got up. She walked through the messy apartment, it was painful to look at it, and to the door and opened it. There stood her aunt Caroline, arms crossed:
-Would you mind explaining what happened in there?!- Care asked, looking really annoyed.
-Rissa got drunk.
-And?!
-Killed someone.
-Seriously?!
-Yeah.
-But… but why? Was she upset?
-Maybe. By the time I got her to listen to me, she was unconscious. Come in.
Care came in and looked around the apartment:
-What happened here?
-I don't know, but I suppose that it was also Rissa.- Caroline started cleaning up, Steph helping her.
-And where were you?
-Work.
-And where is she?
-My room. It was the only part of the whole place that didn't look like there was an explosion in it, so I tucked her in there.
They continued cleaning the apartment in silence. Stephanie was grateful that Care came to help with the incident. She had Alf call her and tell her to come, so she compelled everyone to forget what happened with Rissa.
-Steph?
-Yeah?
-Who was the cute boy?
-Alf.
-Oh, come on, tell me! Who is he?
Steph blushed and mumbled something.
-Steph, come on!
-He's my boyfriend. There.
-What are you so shy about, he's hot!
-I… He just saw my sister murder someone. Then I made him call my aunt, who looks younger than me, so she can magically mind control the others who saw that to forget. So, to be honest, I'm not sure if he still wants to be with me after all that…
-Of course he does! You told him the truth! That's good! And tell me, honestly, how he kept all those people in there for so long.
-He's a warlock.
-And did you leave him because of that?
-No, of course not.
-Then why should he leave you? You both have your supernatural drama, now you just have it together!
-Thanks, Care.
That's when they heard a loud crash coming from the bedroom.
-What's that?- Caroline asked.
-That's Marissa.
A few moments later, Rissa stumbled out of the bedroom:
-Everything is clean. Am I still asleep?
-No,- Care said. -But you have some explaining to do!
-A middle-aged teenager is here. Am I still asleep?
Steph sighed. Not sober enough to walk, but sober enough to insult everyone in the room. Of course.
-How are all of you already up?
Steph rolled her eyes:
-Maybe we're just morning people.
-Well, I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.
