Caroline sighed. She knew her niece well enough to know she wouldn't get anything out of her until she eats. She got a blood bad out of her purse and gave it to Rissa.

Rissa didn't take it immediately. She had to get her hands out of the sleeves first. Then took it:

-Who even put this hoodie on me?- she groaned.

-I did,- Steph said. -You were cold at night and kept kicking me.

Rissa kept drinking from the blood bag, annoyed, but kind of happy. She loved the hoodie, after all. But, one thing you need to know about the hoodie is that, despite the fact that she basically lived in it sometimes, it wasn't Rissa's. It was XXL, not to mention male. The hoodie was black and it said "Killax" on the front. Rissa stole it from Damon on her second day of walking, as well as her first day of running and refused to take it off, (but more like "get out of it", considering the size of the hoodie compared to one-year-old Rissa) no matter what. It took ten days to finally get it back, and she kept stealing it from time to time over the course of the next seventeen years, until she eventually took it to New York.

She finished the blood bag.

-Now that you have energy…

-Who said I had energy?

-…explain what happened!- Care finished, ignoring the comment.

-Well, I woke up, then I found my sister and my aunt in the surprisingly clean living room, dead set on interrogating me. Is that all.

-No. We need to know what actually happened, Rissa.- Steph said.

-Imma need you to be a little more precise about that one, thanks.

-Alright, that's it!- Caroline's patience finally snapped. -Marissa Rose Salvatore, we need to know why the hell you were drunk out of your mind last night, dancing on a table, murdering a man, not to mention the mess this apartment was! And we need answers, now!

-The apartment was a mess due to a werewolf's transformation.- Rissa snapped. -The rest, as you mentioned before, I was drunk. Happy now?!

-A werewolf was here?- Steph asked, a little panicked.

-Yep.

-Rissa,- Steph put a hand on her shoulder. -I know you. I know that you would never get that drunk unless you were upset. I just want to know why.

-It's… a Guy.

-What guy?

-Cameron.

-The guy's name is Cameron?

-The Guy's last name is Cameron.

-And the guy's name is…

-Guy's name is Guy.

-His name is Guy Cameron.

-Yep.

-Same Guy Cameron who told me that he thinks he's your boyfriend?

Marissa pulled away.

-Maybe. How am I supposed to know what he told you?

-Rissa, come on. I had to have my boyfriend call Caroline here, so she can compel everyone to forget, you can at least tell me what happened.

-Oh, I'm Stephanie, and I'm soooo perfect! I'm Stephanie, and I'm soooo upset! I'm Stephanie, and I had to ask my hot boyfriend, who exists, for help! I'm Stephanie, and my sister is a menace! I'm Stephanie, and I saved the day yet again! How horrible, really.

For a few seconds, there was silence. The sisters just looked at each other, both wishing this outburst never happened. Caroline decided to be the first to speak:

-I should leave you two alone. To talk.- she kissed each of the girls on the cheek and was about to leave, but added one last thing, -And, Rissa, when you have time, call Vik. He's been wondering how you're doing.

The silence continued for a few more second, until Marissa spoke again, the usual confidence in her voice missing:

-I liked him. Maybe I still do. He came here during a full moon and transformed. Neither of us expected it. He was in a lot of pain. I knew it was risky. That he could bite me. But I couldn't leave him. I blocked your room, as you may have noticed. But he made a mess out of the rest of the apartment.

-Did he?..

-No, I'm fine, don't worry. After he became human again, we kissed. But I ruined it. I told him I could've died. He got angry. Said he couldn't be with someone so reckless. I ruined it Steph, for once, I liked someone and I ruined it. I got drunk, obviously. What else was there for me to do? The only two things I'm capable of. Ruining things and drinking.

She didn't notice she had started crying until now. Or that she was crying into Stephanie's shoulder.

-Rissa?

-Yeah?

-Why is the fridge empty?

-I was avoiding werewolf bites for four hours. I needed more energy.

-Of course you did.
