AN: part 2 aka the training arc! well...training chapter!

At Jungle Karma Pizza, Yang sat at a table with Casey and the others, recounting her encounter with the serpentine, and bull Grimm.

"...and then they just vanished," she finished, frustration evident in her voice. "I've never seen Grimm like that before. having the ability to speak, to create illusions, to summon other Grimm, it's not normal."

RJ, the owner of the pizza parlor and a Pai Zhua master himself, stroked his chin thoughtfully. normally he'd be far more laid-back but he's involvement in this matter has been steadily increasing "This is troubling news indeed. If these Grimm are evolving, adapting to that extent..."

"...then we're dealing with a threat far greater than we thought," Casey finished.

Yang clenched her fists, feeling frustration. "I should have been faster, should have caught it."

Camille placed a comforting hand on Yang's shoulder. "You did everything you could. The important thing is that you both made it back safely and we have new information about our enemy."

Jarrod leaned forward, his expression serious. "What concerns me is how this Grimm seemed to know about you, Yang, about where you're from."

Yang nodded, her brow furrowed in thought. "Yeah, that's been bugging me too."

RJ paced back and forth, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced by intense focus. "This suggests a level of organization and intelligence we haven't seen in these creatures before. We need to alert the other Ranger teams, warn them of this new development."

Casey turned to Yang. "You mentioned that in your world, Grimm are attracted to negative emotions. Could that be why they're appearing here?"

Yang shook her head. "Not like this. Sure, they're drawn to things like fear, and anger, but they don't usually plan or strategize. And they definitely don't talk or create illusions. Even the oldest, most powerful Grimm I've encountered never showed abilities like this. The closest my team and I encountered was a Grimm called The Apathy. Which could induce 'apathy' just by being in its presence, but even with that, It's like... it's evolved somehow."

A heavy silence fell over the group as they considered this possibility. RJ cleared his throat. "We need more information. Yang, you said this Grimm created shadow versions of creatures from your world. Can you tell us more about them?"

Yang nodded, launching into a detailed explanation of the various types of Grimm she was familiar with: Beowolves, Ursai, Nevermores, and others. As she spoke, RJ quickly sketched rough images based on her descriptions.

"This is valuable intel," Casey said, examining the sketches. "many of these Grimm haven't been encountered yet. We can distribute these to other Ranger teams, give them an idea of what they might be up against. I'll contact Dr. K and see if she can analyze the energy readings from our encounter. Maybe she can shed some light on how these Grimm are crossing between worlds."

"And I'll reach out to Xander," RJ added. "If anyone knows about ancient evils crossing dimensions, it's the Mystic Force team."

As the others discussed strategy, Yang felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her. The events of the day, coupled with the strain of using her new powers, were finally catching up to her.

Camille noticed Yang's fatigue. "You should rest. You've been through a lot today."

Yang wanted to protest, to insist on helping more, but she knew Camille was right. She nodded gratefully. "Thanks. But... where exactly am I supposed to stay?"

RJ grinned, some of his usual laid-back demeanor returning. "We've got plenty of spare rooms upstairs. It's not much, but it's comfortable and secure."

As Yang followed Camille upstairs, her mind raced with everything that had happened. She was in a strange world, facing an evolving enemy, and wielding unfamiliar powers. The weight of it all threatened to overwhelm her. Camille opened a door, revealing a small but cozy room. "Here you are. There are fresh towels in the bathroom if you want to clean up, and I'll bring you some spare clothes in a bit."

Yang nodded gratefully. "Thanks, Camille. For everything."

As Camille turned to leave, Yang called out, "Hey, can I ask you something?"

Camille paused, turning back. "Of course."

She paused, then asked "How did you all deal with it, becoming Rangers, facing world-ending threats?"

Camille's expression softened with understanding. "truth be told, while I'm not a Power Ranger myself, I have witnessed them during those times of world ending threats. they've all had their struggles, their moments of doubt, But they had each other, and they had learned to trust in their abilities and their bond as a team."

Camille continued, "It's not easy, Yang. Facing threats like this, feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. But you're not alone in this. We may not be from your world, but we're here for you."

Yang nodded, feeling a lump in her throat. "I appreciate that. It's just... back home, I knew my role. I finally became an official Huntress, part of a team, here, I feel... lost."

Camille placed a comforting hand on Yang's shoulder. "It's natural to feel that way. But from what I've seen, you're adapting quickly. Your dragon spirit chose you for a reason, Yang. Trust in that."

Yang managed a small smile. "Thanks, Camille. I'll try."

As Camille left, Yang sat on the bed, her mind still whirling. She thought of Ruby, Blake, Weiss - her team, her family. Were they okay? Did they even know she was gone?

She lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Despite her exhaustion, sleep seemed far away. The serpentine Grimm's words echoed in her mind: "You don't belong here."

But as she closed her eyes, she felt the warm presence of her dragon spirit, a comforting reminder that she wasn't entirely alone. With that thought, she finally drifted off into an uneasy sleep.

In her dreams, Yang found herself back in Remnant, standing amidst the ruins of Beacon Academy. The sky was blood red, and the air was thick with the screams of Grimm.

"Yang!" Ruby's voice called out, filled with terror. "Help me!"

Yang tried to run towards her sister's voice, but her feet wouldn't move. She looked down to see black tendrils wrapping around her legs, holding her in place.

"You left us," Blake's accusing voice came from behind her. "You abandoned us when we needed you most."

"No!" Yang cried out, struggling against the tendrils. "I didn't mean to! I'm trying to get back!"

Weiss appeared before her, her usual pristine appearance marred by dirt and blood. "It's too late, Yang. You chose your new power over us. Now watch as two worlds fall."

The scene shifted, and Yang found herself back in Ocean Bluff. Casey, RJ, and the others lay defeated at her feet, their bodies broken. both the serpentine and bull Grimm stood before her, they're red eyes gleaming with triumph.

"See what your weakness has wrought, little dragon?" the serpentine Grimm hissed. "You're not strong enough to save either world." as it spoke a large pillar of darkness shot into the sky, changing it from blood red to an unnatural blackness. as the nightmare faded to darkness, both of their red eyes glowed brightly.

a different voice suddenly pierced the darkness "where's your strength, your will to stand tall?" it was Salem's "when all you can do is watch as the warriors of legend burn and fall around you"

Yang woke with a start, her heart pounding. She was drenched in sweat, the echoes of her nightmare still ringing in her ears. The room was dark, but a faint golden glow emanated from her hands, her dragon spirit responding to her. she could feel her hand shaking but it wasn't her left, it was her mechanical hand. Yang took deep breaths, trying to calm both her racing heart and mechanical hand. The golden glow from her slowly faded as she regained control of her emotions. She glanced at the small clock on the bedside table - it was just past 3 AM.

Knowing sleep would elude her now, Yang quietly got up and made her way downstairs. She needed some air, some space to clear her head. The main loft area of Jungle Karma Pizza was dark and quiet. Yang was about to head for the door when a soft voice startled her. "Couldn't sleep?"

She spun around to see RJ sitting in his favorite chair, a steaming mug in his hand, watching the recently updated security system.

"Uh, yeah," Yang admitted, running a hand through her tangled hair. "Bad dreams."

RJ nodded sympathetically. "I thought you might have trouble resting. Care for some tea? It's a special blend, helps calm the mind and spirit."

Yang hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Sure, thanks."

As RJ prepared another cup, Yang settled into a nearby chair. The silence was comfortable, broken only by the soft clink of ceramic.

"Want to talk about it?" RJ asked gently as he handed her the mug.

Yang took a sip, the warm liquid soothing her frayed nerves. "It's just... I keep thinking about my world, my friends. we were in the middle of evacuating the City of Atlas to Vacuo and I have no idea if they succeeded. Then there's this new power, this new enemy, I feel like I'm being pulled in a million directions at once."

RJ listened patiently, his expression thoughtful. "It's a lot to process. Being thrust into a new world, facing unfamiliar challenges, it would be overwhelming for anyone."

"But I can't afford to be overwhelmed," Yang said, frustration creeping into her voice. "The Grimm are on this world now, planning who knows what. People could get hurt if I don't figure this out."

RJ leaned forward, his eyes kind but serious. "Yang, listen to me. You're not alone in this fight. We may not be from your world, but we're here to help. And as for your friends back home - if they're half as strong and resourceful as you, I'm sure they're doing everything they can to find you."

Yang felt a lump form in her throat. "I hope so. I just... I feel like I'm failing them by being stuck here."

"You're not failing anyone," RJ assured her. "You're adapting, learning, growing stronger. And when the time comes to face this new threat, you'll be ready."

They sat in companionable silence for a while, sipping their tea. Yang felt some of the tension leave her body, RJ's words and the calming tea working their magic.

"So," RJ said after a while, a hint of his usual playful tone returning. "Tell me more about this world of yours. Remnant, was it?

Yang couldn't help but smile at RJ's curiosity. "Yeah, Remnant. We have four main kingdoms, advanced technology, but also constant threats from the Grimm." She went on to describe the Huntsmen and Huntresses, the use of Dust, and the concept of Aura and Semblances. RJ listened intently, occasionally asking insightful questions.

"Fascinating," he mused when she finished. "It sounds like your world has found a unique balance between technology and what we might call 'mystical' energy."

Yang nodded. "I guess so. I never really thought about it that way before."

RJ set his empty mug aside. "You know, Yang, I think your experience as a Huntress-in-training has prepared you for this situation more than you realize. You're used to adapting to new challenges, to pushing your limits."

"Maybe," Yang conceded. "But this feels different. Back home, I knew the rules, knew what I was capable of. Here..." She looked down at her hands, remembering the golden energy of her dragon spirit.

RJ leaned forward, his expression serious but kind. "The fundamentals are the same, Yang. Protect those who can't protect themselves, fighting for what's right, the methods might be different, but the core of who you are, that hasn't changed."

Yang felt a warmth in her chest that had nothing to do with the tea. "Thanks, RJ. I needed to hear that."

He grinned. "Anytime. Now, how about we put that restless energy of yours to good use? I could show you some Pai Zhua techniques that might help you channel your dragon spirit more effectively."

Yang's eyes lit up. "Really? That would be great!"

As they made their way to the training area, Yang felt a renewed sense of purpose. She might be far from home, but she wasn't alone. And she'd face whatever challenges this new world threw at her, one step at a time. The rest of the early morning passed quickly as RJ guided Yang through various Pai Zhua forms and meditation techniques. By the time the first rays of sunlight began to peek through the windows, Yang felt more centered and in control than she had since arriving in this world.

As they finished up, Casey entered the training area, looking surprised to see them. "You're up early," he remarked.

RJ grinned. "Or late, depending on your perspective. Yang here couldn't sleep, so we've been working on her Pai Zhua skills."

Casey nodded approvingly. "Good idea. How are you feeling, Yang?"

"Better," she admitted. "Still a lot to process, but I feel more grounded, I guess.

"Glad to hear it," Casey said. His expression then turned serious. "We've got some news. while I couldn't get in contact with Dr. K, Billy had called us back with his analysis of the energy readings from yesterday's encounter."

Yang straightened up, instantly alert. "What did he find?"

Casey's expression was grim. "He said the energy signature is unlike anything he's seen before. It has similarities to some interdimensional anomalies the Rangers have encountered in the past, but there's something different about it. Something he could only described as 'darker'."

RJ nodded, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced by intense focus. "Did he have any theories about how the Grimm are crossing between worlds?"

"He thinks there might be some kind of portal or rift," Casey explained. "But there's more," Casey continued. "Billy detected traces of what he called 'dimensional instability' around the areas where Grimm have appeared. It's as if the barriers between worlds are weakening."

Yang felt a chill run down her spine. "That can't be good."

"No, it's not," RJ agreed. "If the barriers between worlds are breaking down, it could explain how you ended up here, Yang. And how these Grimm are crossing over."

RJ stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Yang, you said these Grimm are attracted to negative emotions in your world, right?"

Yang nodded. "Yeah: fear, anger, despair. they're drawn to it like moths to a flame."

"Then we need to be on high alert for any unusual spikes in negative energy," RJ said. "It could be a sign of more Grimm activity."

Casey nodded in agreement. "I'll contact the other Ranger teams, have them keep an eye out for any strange occurrences in their areas. And if things get really bad, we might need to call in some bigger guns." As they discussed strategy, Yang couldn't shake the feeling that they were missing something important. The serpentine Grimm's words echoed in her mind: "You don't belong here."

"Wait," she said suddenly, interrupting the conversation. "What if I'm the reason the barrier is weakening?"

RJ and Casey turned to her, surprise evident on their faces.

"What do you mean?" Casey asked.

Yang took a deep breath, trying to organize her thoughts. "That Grimm, it knew things about me, about where I'm from. What if my presence here is somehow 'breaking' things?"

RJ considered this for a moment. " unfortunately, It's possible, your energy signature is likely very different from anything in our world."

"But that wouldn't explain how you got here in the first place," Casey pointed out.

Yang frowned, trying to remember the moments before she arrived in this world. "I was fighting, there was an explosion, then I was falling through a void and as I was falling It felt like I was being pulled apart and put back together at the same time."

RJ's eyes widened. "That almost sounds like some kind of uncontrolled, and unguided teleport."

"So someone, or something, brought me here," Yang said, her fists clenching. "But why would someone do that? why would Salem even be invading other worlds with Grimm?"

RJ and Casey looked at each other then back at Yang "Salem?" they both asked.

"oh, did I not tell you about her?" Yang asked as they both shook their heads 'no'. "ah...I'm sorry" she proceeded to explain all she knew about Salem, the Relics, the Maidens, and how Salem's goal was to bring the Relics together in an attempt to rid herself of her immortality. Camille and Jarrod had shown up during her explanation, where she ended it with how Salem's plan may vary well destroy humanity in the process. she braced herself for the inevitable looks of despair, and hopelessness that had always followed this revelation, but they never came.

Camille even asked "which kind of immortality?"

Yang was almost at a loss for words but managed to say "she can regenerate from anything. I even fought her myself and used explosives to blow a hole in her chest, she just regenerated a few seconds later."

RJ then asked "what was the strongest weapon that was used against her?"

"my old headmaster, Ozpin, has the same kind of magic as hers and used it to blow her, and a massive Grimm she had created, up" Yang explained "it delayed her regeneration for only a few days."

she couldn't believe what she was hearing, all four of them begin suggesting ideas to each other of different methods and weapons that might be able to be used against someone or something like Salem if she ever showed up in person. she only caught small bits of their conversation but she heard 'separate her powers from her' and 'contain her'.

As the others continued discussing strategy, Yang felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her. the lack of sleep and the training session with RJ had taken more out of her than she realized. Camille noticed Yang's fatigue and gently said. "You should rest. We've got things covered here for now."

Yang wanted to protest, but she knew Camille was right. She needed to be at her best for anything that came next. "Alright." As Yang made her way upstairs to her room, her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.

"I tell them about the most powerful being on our world and they immediately brainstorm ideas on how to stop her AND they might actually have the means to do so? what has this world been through?" She thought as she collapsed onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Yang felt a warm presence in her mind comforting her, her dragon spirit. It wasn't with words exactly, more like impressions of strength, determination, and hope. A reminder that she wasn't alone, even in this strange new world. With that comforting thought, Yang finally drifted off into a thankfully nightmare-less nap for a few hours.

when she woke up she glanced at the clock and it was mid afternoon. A soft knock on her door pulled her from her thoughts. "Yang? Are you awake?" Casey's voice called out.

"Yeah, come in," she responded, sitting up and running a hand through her tangled golden hair.

Casey entered, his expression a mix of concern and determination. "How are you feeling?"

Yang shrugged, offering a small smile. "As good as can be expected, I guess. Anything happen?"

Casey nodded. "RJ's been in contact with other Ranger teams. There have been Grimm sightings all over the world, but nothing like Taurus and Serpentis. It seems they're unique, for now."

Yang was processing this information when Casey continued "the thing is, there hasn't been any Grimm activity in our city all day."

"Grimm activity stopped only in this city?" Yang wondered aloud

"it's what we need to figure out," Casey said. "anyway I came up here to tell you that Jarrod's going to be the one to handle the next stage of your training. he'll be waiting downstairs in the basement training room when you're ready."

Yang nodded, determination setting in. "Let's do it."

After a quick bite of a pizza RJ made for everyone, Yang found herself in the training area with Jarrod. his lion spirit radiating off him like a faint aura around him.

Yang then thought of something "hey, can I ask you something before we start?" Jarrod nodded saying "of course"

Yang started to ask her question "so why are you the one…" she trailed off realizing this question sounded a lot better in her head.

Jarrod chuckled a bit and continued her question for her "why is it specifically me training you? Casey believes that I, as well as Camille, have a much more unique and helpful perspective for your fight against the Grimm."

Yang glanced around the training area.

"Camille will be along to assist shortly" Jarrod answered the question forming in her mind. "for right now, we're focusing on your spirit and to make your next encounter with these Grimm the final one."

Yang nodded, her curiosity piqued. "What do you mean by a unique perspective?"

Jarrod's expression turned serious. "Camille told you that she and I aren't Power Rangers, right?" When Yang nodded, he continued, "That's because we... we used to be on the other side."

Yang's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean...?"

"We were enemies of the Rangers," Jarrod confirmed. "I was possessed by an ancient evil spirit called Dai Shi. Camille was his loyal servant. We fought against Casey and the others, caused a lot of damage, hurt a lot of people."

Yang absorbed this information, her mind racing. "But you changed. You're good now."

Jarrod nodded, a hint of pride in his voice. "It wasn't easy. We had to confront our own darkness, our own fears and anger." Jarrod said. "We know what it's like to be consumed by that kind of darkness, and we can teach you how to resist it, how to maintain control even when the Grimm are trying to push you over the edge."

"Because the Grimm are trying to manipulate my emotions," Yang realized as she felt a surge of hope. "So, where do we start?"

Jarrod settled into a fighting stance. "We start by pushing your limits. I want you to call upon your dragon spirit, but this time, I want you to focus on the emotions that fuel it. Not just the positive ones, but the negative ones too."

Yang nodded, closing her eyes and concentrating. She felt the familiar warmth of her dragon spirit, but this time, she didn't shy away from the darker emotions swirling within her. The frustration of being trapped in this world, the fear for her friends and family back in Remnant, the anger at the Grimm for their manipulation - she let it all flow through her.

When she opened her eyes, they were glowing red, and her hair seemed to shimmer with golden fire. The spectral form of a dragon coiled around her, its eyes matching hers.

Jarrod nodded approvingly. "Good. Now, let's see how well you can maintain control under pressure."

Without warning, he charged forward, his own lion spirit manifesting around him. As they clashed, Yang felt the rush of battle, the thrill of pushing her limits. But underneath it all was a current of something darker, more primal.

As they trained, Jarrod constantly pushed her, not just physically but emotionally. He taunted her, bringing up her fears and insecurities, mimicking the tactics the Grimm had used. At times, Yang felt herself slipping, the rage threatening to overwhelm her. But each time, she fought back, using the techniques RJ had taught her previously to center herself.

An hour had passed as Yang and Jarrod sparred intensely. Sweat dripped down Yang's face as she struggled to maintain control of her emotions while channeling the full power of her dragon spirit.

Then she felt something she couldn't quite explain, a presence approaching from behind but there was no one else around. she decided to trust this feeling and spun around to punch at what she thought would be thin air, to find Camille gracefully dodging out of the way as she turned off her invisibility.

Yang's eyes widened in surprise as Camille materialized, with a smile on her face. "Impressive. You sensed me even when I was invisible."

Jarrod nodded approvingly. "Your instincts are sharpening. The dragon spirit is enhancing your senses."

Yang lowered her fist, her breathing heavy from the intense training. "That was... intense. I could feel you there, but I couldn't see you."

Camille approached, her own chameleon spirit shimmering faintly around her. "That's exactly what we're aiming for. The Grimm, especially the new ones, rely heavily on deception and misdirection. You need to be able to sense them even when your eyes can't be trusted."

Yang nodded, understanding dawning. "So this whole training session..."

"Was about more than just controlling your emotions," Jarrod finished. "It was about honing your instincts, sharpening your connection to your dragon spirit."

Camille stepped forward, her own aura shimmering with a faint green energy. "Are you ready for the next phase of your training?"

Yang nodded, determination glinting in her eyes. "Bring it on."

For the next hour, Yang found herself facing off against both Jarrod and Camille simultaneously. Jarrod's raw power and Camille's stealth forced Yang to constantly adapt, pushing her dragon spirit to new limits.

As they trained, Camille would occasionally call out advice. "Focus on your other senses, Yang. Sight can be deceiving, but your spirit can sense what your eyes cannot."

Yang closed her eyes, concentrating on the energy around her. She felt Jarrod's lion spirit, a powerful presence to her left. And there, a subtle shift in the air to her right. Her eyes snapped open as she spun, her fist connecting with Camille's midsection just as she was about to strike.

Camille staggered back, a proud smile on her face despite the hit. "Excellent! You're learning quickly."

Jarrod called a halt to the training, all three of them breathing heavily. "You've made impressive progress, Yang. But remember, the Grimm won't fight fair. They'll use every trick and manipulation they can to throw you off balance. let's take a small break as there is one more thing I've been told to show you"

As they were catching their breath, Yang was wondering "so…how did they defeat you two?"

Jarrod and Camille exchanged a glance, a mix of emotions flickering across their faces.

"The Rangers fought us for a long time, but in the end, it wasn't just about physical strength." Jarrod admitted.

Camille nodded in agreement. "They showed us another way. They never gave up on us, even when we were at our worst. Their determination, their belief in the good in people, it reached us, even through the darkness."

Jarrod continued, "Dai Shi had preyed on my fears and insecurities, used them to control me. But with Casey's belief that the real me was still fighting for control, I managed to overcome them."

"And for me," Camille added, "it was about finding a place where I belonged. The Rangers, especially the Yellow Ranger Lily, showed me kindness when I didn't deserve it. It made me question everything I thought I knew."

Yang absorbed this information, her brow furrowed in thought. "So it wasn't just about beating you in battle. It was about reaching the person underneath the evil." she was contemplating the complexity of the situation, while remembering how Hazel and Emerald turned against Salem.

she mentality shook her head, she'll think about it later but for now, "So what's this one last thing you wanted to show me?"

Jarrod's expression turned serious. "It's a technique that combines your physical strength with your spiritual energy. It's risky, and it takes a toll on the body, but it could be a game-changer in a tough fight."

He stood, motioning for Yang to do the same. "Watch closely."

Jarrod closed his eyes, concentrating. His lion spirit manifested around him, more vivid and solid than Yang had seen before. Then, to her amazement, Jarrod seemed to merge with the spirit. Black armor with gold outlines and a helmet in the vague shape of a lion appeared around him.

Yang's eyes widened in awe. "That's incredible. Can I learn to do that?"

Jarrod nodded as he released the technique, returning to his normal form. "With practice, yes. But be warned: it's incredibly taxing on the body and spirit. Use it only as a last resort. It's why the Power Rangers use unique devices to access their powers" Jarrod explained "Ranger forms, as the others call it, are much less taxing and can last longer"

Yang nodded, understanding the gravity of what she'd just witnessed. As she prepared to attempt the technique herself, she couldn't help but wonder what other surprises this world had.

Yang closed her eyes, concentrating on her dragon spirit. She felt its warmth, its power coursing through her. Focusing intently, she tried to merge with it as Jarrod had done.

At first, nothing happened. Then, she felt a surge of energy unlike anything she'd experienced before. Golden light enveloped her body as spectral armor began to form. For a moment, it seemed like she'd succeeded.

But suddenly, the energy destabilized. Yang cried out as the partially formed armor shattered, sending her stumbling backwards.

"Yang!" Camille called out in concern, rushing to her side.

Jarrod helped Yang to her feet. "Are you alright?"

Yang nodded, catching her breath. "I'm fine. Just... that was intense. What happened?"

Jarrod's expression was thoughtful. "Your dragon spirit is incredibly powerful, perhaps even more so than my lion spirit. It might take more control to fully merge with it."

"Or," Camille added, "it could be that your spirit is still adjusting to this world. Remember, you're not from here originally."

Yang frowned, frustration evident on her face. "So what do I do?"

"We keep practicing," Jarrod said firmly. "Megazords aren't built in a day, and neither is mastery over one's animal spirit."

Yang nodded, determination setting in once more. "Alright, let's try again."

For the next hour, Yang attempted the spirit merge technique repeatedly. Each time, she got a little closer, the spectral armor forming more fully before destabilizing. By the end, she was drenched in sweat, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

"That's enough for today," Camille said gently but firmly. "You've made great progress, but pushing too hard could be dangerous."

Yang wanted to argue, but she knew Camille was right. She could feel the strain on her body and spirit. "Okay," she conceded.

"Your potential is incredible, Yang. With more practice, I believe you'll master this technique." Jarrod assured her.

As they made their way back upstairs, Yang felt a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. She was pushing her limits in ways she never had before, and despite the challenges, she felt herself growing stronger.

RJ greeted them as they entered the main area of Jungle Karma Pizza. "How'd it go?" he asked, his keen eyes taking in Yang's exhausted but determined expression.

"She's a quick learner," Jarrod reported. "Her dragon spirit is incredibly powerful."

RJ nodded, a hint of pride in his voice. "I had a feeling it would be. Yang, why don't you grab a shower and some food?"

Yang nodded gratefully, heading upstairs to clean up. As the hot water washed over her aching muscles, she couldn't help but reflect on how much had changed in such a short time. She was in a new world, wielding new powers, facing a familiar yet evolved enemy.

And yet, despite the challenges and the uncertainty, she felt a sense of purpose. These people, the Rangers and their allies, had welcomed her and were helping her grow stronger. Whatever came next, she wouldn't face it alone.

With renewed determination, Yang finished her shower and got dressed. As she headed back downstairs, she felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The Grimm might be evolving, but so was she. And this time, she had a whole new team backing her up. As Yang descended the stairs, she heard hushed voices coming from the main area of Jungle Karma Pizza. She paused, listening intently.

"...another sighting, this time in Angel Grove," Casey was saying, his voice tense. "The Dino Thunder team is helping out, but they reported the Grimm seemed more organized than before."

RJ's voice responded, sounding concerned. "That fits with what we've been seeing. These creatures are adapting quickly."

Yang stepped into view, and the conversation halted abruptly. "Don't stop on my account," she said, crossing her arms. "If there's news about the Grimm, I want to hear it."

Casey and RJ exchanged a glance before Casey nodded. "Alright. We've been getting reports from other Ranger teams across the country. The Grimm attacks are increasing in frequency and coordination."

"It seems the Grimm in this world are evolving rapidly," Casey said grimly. "We think they might be adapting to counter our defenses."

Yang clenched her fists, feeling a mix of frustration and determination. "Then we need to evolve faster. What's our next move?"

RJ stroked his chin thoughtfully. "We've been discussing that. We think it's time to bring in some additional help." Before Yang could ask what he meant, the door to Jungle Karma Pizza burst open. A young woman with long dark hair and a yellow jacket rushed in, looking out of breath.

"Lily!" Casey exclaimed. "What's wrong? wait, why didn't you..."

Lily, who Yang recognized as the Yellow Ranger Camille had mentioned earlier, took a moment to catch her breath. "We've got trouble." she held up her own yellow sunglasses "I think they're blocking our communications! A massive energy pillar appeared downtown, and... you're going to want to see this for yourselves."

Without hesitation, the group, with the exception of RJ rushed outside. As they reached the street, Yang's eyes widened in shock. In the distance, a swirling vortex of dark energy had opened up in the sky above downtown Ocean Bluff, looking like an encroaching storm, slowly spreading across the sky.

Yang's heart raced as she took in the sight of the swirling vortex. She had only seen something like it once before, in her nightmare. The air crackled with an ominous energy that set her teeth on edge.

"What is that thing?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Casey shook his head, his expression grim. "I've never seen anything like it."

As they watched, dark blobs began to fall from the vortex, plummeting towards the city below like giant black raindrops. Even from this distance, Yang recognized the distinctive black pools forming as 'Grimm pools' growing into Nevermores, Beowolves, and others she couldn't quite make out.

"It's a portal," Yang realized, her voice filled with dread.

RJ approached along with Camille, and Jarrod. RJ informed them " I couldn't make contact with any of the teams outside the city. We need to close that portal and fast. If too many Grimm come through..."

"...The city won't stand a chance," Lily finished.

Casey turned to the group, first he asked Lily "Theo stayed behind downtown?" Lily nodded in confirmation. "the Grimm were attacking people when we found out we couldn't call for help" she explained.

Casey's eyes started blazing with determination. "Alright, here's the plan. RJ, you Jarrod and Lily head downtown. Try to evacuate as many civilians as you can and keep the Grimm contained."

He turned to Yang and Camille. "You, me, and Camille, we're going straight for that portal."

Yang nodded, feeling a surge of adrenaline. This was what she was trained for. "Let's do this."

As RJ, Jarrod, and Lily sped off, Casey led Yang and Camille towards the massive dark energy pillar. Yang couldn't shake the feeling that this battle would change everything. The fate of not just Ocean Bluff, but possibly this world and her own, hung in the balance.
