The plane lands at the Lynden Pindling International Airport in The Bahamas, several hours later. Stephanie takes Giuseppe's hand and pulls him off the jet and through the terminal to the vehicle rental area. She uses the fake ID from her pocket to get a car and pays with cash. Giuseppe raises a brow but never questions his biological mother. She has a plan that he needs to follow to ensure his survival.
"It seems like she's flying by the seat of her pants," Carl says.
Stephanie giggles and pulls Giuseppe toward the exit. "That's because I am," Stephanie replies. "But it doesn't mean I don't have a plan."
"What does that mean?" Giuseppe asks.
"It means I have a plan for the bigger picture and missing the little details," Stephanie explains. "I'll tell you everything once we get into the car. After I check for bugs."
"What happens if you find some?" Giuseppe asks.
"I'll show you what I can do," Stephanie promises. She feels the electrical energy of her powers coursing through her veins. It's stronger than she remembers it being when she was younger. How it grew without her is a mystery. Maybe her mature mind and life experiences affect her abilities, strengthening them as though they grew with her during the missing years.
Stephanie presses a finger to her lips as they approach their rental car. She closes her eyes and feels where someone has hidden the bugs. Stephanie reaches beneath the vehicle to tug a bugging device free. Holding it between her fingers, she sends a current through the device, making it smoke and melt while Giuseppe watches in awe. She repeats the process five more times. Stephanie twirls her hand, silently telling Carl to do his thing.
Carl reaches into the car to pop the hood. He examines the engine and removes another device. Stephanie rolls her eyes and zaps it like the others. Carl finds another one. Once Stephanie zaps it, Carl says, "That's the last one."
"Thank goodness," Diesel replies.
"Why didn't you detect the ones in the engine?" Giuseppe asks.
"The battery and other fluids mask them," Stephanie replies. "They short-circuit my reception. I don't understand why. I'm sure there's a scientific explanation."
"Batteries contain enough electricity to start the vehicle. The electrical current masks the lower charges placed closer to them. With the washer fluid, placement on the bottle will suppress the electrical current emitted from the bugging device because it can't conduct electricity," Giuseppe explains.
"Wow. I hated science," Stephanie says.
"I enjoy reading science journals and other books. They don't teach enough in the high school classes," Giuseppe corrects. "I find Physics fascinating."
Stephanie doesn't find science interesting. She prefers living life to its fullest and enjoying every day she's alive. With the clock ticking away on her life, Stephanie doesn't have time for regrets. She must move forward and do whatever is best for everyone else, especially her son, family and friends.
They climb into the car, which is roomier than it looks outside. Giuseppe is Stephanie's height but lanky. Stephanie thinks he resembles her too much. Anyone who sees them together will know they are mother and son. Stephanie drives to the place she sees in her mind's eye, taking the road leading her to Wolfram and the end of her life. She's putting her brave self forward.
"Do you feel it?" Carl asks after thirty minutes.
"Yes. Wolfram's energy is in the air. We'll need to walk soon," Stephanie replies, warning the guys of what's coming their way.
"Did you name me?" Giuseppe asks.
"No. Your adoptive parents named you after Michele's father. He passed away before your birth, leaving everything to his sole heir, Michele," Stephanie explains. "They, in turn, named you Giuseppe."

Ranger awakens suddenly, feeling fear unlike anything he had endured during his captivity on missions. His heart races as thoughts of Stephanie assault his mind. He's afraid Stephanie is dead or will soon die. Ranger jumps out of bed and quickly showers to wash away the sweat.
He dresses and rushes from his apartment. The men on the control room floor stare as Ranger runs into his office to grab his extra weapons from the safe. "Is something wrong?" Silvio asks.
"I need to find Stephanie," Ranger barks. "Call the pilot. I need to leave ten minutes ago."
"Yes, sir," Silvio replies and makes the call. "He just landed in the airfield with Santos, Brown, and Tank."
Ranger is angry that the other guys flew to Miami. He needs to get to Stephanie, not listen to their rants about why he left her in Trenton while lying about the reason for going. Ranger is in love with Stephanie. He knows Stephanie loves him. The fear of his past catching up to her kept him from making the move to make Stephanie his wife. He didn't want to bring another child into the world and knew Stephanie would like to have his baby. She claims children give her hives. Ranger knows Stephanie already has a fifteen-year-old son, but he can't prove it.
"Drive me to the airfield," Ranger orders, grabbing a duffle from the closet and shoving the extra ammunition inside. Silvio runs to get the keys for an SUV and is awaiting Ranger's arrival. He calls Lester, telling them to stay put. They must travel with Ranger to keep him from doing something stupid in the name of rescuing Stephanie – like killing himself.
Ranger slips into the passenger seat and buckles into his seat. Silvio drives to the airfield without warning Ranger about his travel companions. The traffic is light, and they arrive at the airport in record time.
Lester, Tank, and Bobby are waiting in the cabin for Ranger to ascend the stairs. Ranger's lips thin as he steps into the jet. "Why are you here?" Ranger demands.
"We came here to help you neutralize Wolfram Braun. Isn't that why you asked for my research?" Lester asks.
"Braun isn't a man we can neutralize. We need Diesel to remove his powers," Ranger replies. "Why are you here?"
Ranger glares at each man before Lester cracks. "We're here to find Stephanie," Lester says.
"One of my contacts witnessed Stephanie boarding a plane with Diesel and Carl," Tank explains. "Hector hacked the system. He said Stephanie's flight was heading to Miami. We immediately hopped on the Rangeman jet to meet her. Her flight never landed here."
"And Hector's hacking the flight registrations to see if Stephanie's flight got redirected," Lester adds.
Ranger drops his duffle on a seat and walks to the cockpit. He tells the pilot to fly to Nassau, The Bahamas. Ranger returns to the cabin and sits on the chair beside his duffle.
Lester's phone chimes as the pilot announces, "Turn off all mobile devices and buckle into your seats."
"We need to fly to Nassau," Lester says before powering down his phone.
"I know," Ranger replies.
