Thundering Roar Goes to the Winning Team
Team JNPR and BRNZ have charged at each other since the alarm sound of their battle to start, all charges at each other except for May Zedong who ran into the forest side getting her rifle gun ready while her team does the rest of the close-up fighting.
"(Looks like one of them is keeping distance from the fight. Must mean she's does long-range combat.)" Jotaro thought guessed on what that May girl is up to.
Brawnz attacks Pyrrha with a knee-kick as she blocks it with her shield and blocks another strike with her xiphos, she jerks her sword away making her opponent jump back.
May found herself a nice branch for a good sniping position as she hooks on one branch with her rifle gun swinging herself on top and turns around to see the battle going on.
Nolan Porfirio is just about to face Ren and Nora as both are taking both sides to surround the guy, then Nora charges in with a swing of her hammer for the head, but Nolan was barely able to dodge the attack as it was an inch close to his head and attempts to attack with his weapon.
May got into her shooting position aiming her rifle gun at her target and fired two bullets that almost hit Ren who was lucky enough to move in to attack Nolan as the bullets destroyed half of a rock behind him.
"Oh dear, it looks like Team JNPR is about find themselves in tough situation." Kimi saw how Team BRNZ is gonna fight.
"And makes you say that?" Ruby asked, but Kimi just smile silently telling her to watch and see.
Jaune is defending against a barrage of strikes from Roy Stallion and his buzzsaw glows being pushed back a foot or two, but he notices something fast flew past his head.
"(That looked like it was a bullet.)" Jaune thought looked past his opponent trying to see who made the shot, then he spotted something shiny inside the trees.
That's when Jaune realizes the plan for the opposing team is catching his team off guard with snipping shots to have the rest attack them on sight. This kind of plan would give Team JNPR a big disadvantage if they let them go on like this.
"Retreat!" Jaune called out.
Team JNPR hurry over to their mountain side hiding behind some rocks that haven't been blasted by May's sharp shooting, but they also know that they can't hide behind the rocks forever for they have a match to win.
"What do we do?" Pyrrha asked.
Jaune looks over the rocks to see three of the close fighters of team BRNZ charging towards them while they're sniper is still shooting from a distance.
"Spread out! Try to keep moving!" Jaune ordered and quickly blocked a punch from Brawnz.
May jumps onto another tree branch to get into a higher position as she aims her sniper rifle carefully.
Pyrrha is fighting Brawnz again while Nolan walking towards Ren with a confident grin as his opponent just slides right into his path.
Nolan turned his head to give a nod signal to May who sees this and shoots three rounds close to Ren's feet forcing him to flip Ren flips over to his left to dodge the bullets and quickly look up seeing Nolan coming in to attack with his cattle prod right on the upside of the head though he was able to counter with a kick, but Nolan ducks the kick and smack Ren's leg and hit him on the chest that shocks him down with electricity.
"Ren!" Nora gasped. No one hurts her precious best friend/brother and gets away with it.
Nora goes in swinging her hammer at Nolan to attack, but he dodges the hammer and hits his electric cattle prod to the girl, but it doesn't seems to be hurting her for some reason.
"Oh-ho! Looks like one of my favorite students, Nora Valkyrie, is charging up to use her Semblance!"Port smirked.
"What?" Nolan started to feel panic upon hearing that.
"Yes, Ms. Valkyrie's Semblance lets her produce, as well as channel, electrical energy straight to her muscles! This allows her to jump explosively into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and send the young man flying!"Oobleck explained about Nora's Semblance.
"What?!" Nolan panicked even more now.
Nora pulls back her hammer to flex her muscles, as a way of showing the guy what to fear from him with pink electric sparks dancing around her body.
Nolan holds up his hands for mercy with a horrified look, but Nora doesn't have any mercy for him and bend down zooming her hammer on the guy right at the dick to electric blast him away, bouncing backward across the field and crashes through a large rock.
"That fool should've known better than to try giving her a shock therapy." Kimi smirked.
"Now he just felt her thundering wrath." Yang punned with a fist toward Nora.
Jaune saw what Nora just did and look back at the tall mountain with the thundercloud and lightning bolts striking down, that gave the Arc Knight a big idea that will give Team JNPR the victory in their first fight.
"Nora! Get to the mountain!" Jaune ordered.
"You got it!" Nora saluted, already liking this plan and sprints for the mountain.
"Ren! Try and distract the sniper!" Jaune ordered his other teammate.
One sniper shot nearly miss Ren's head as he looks on toward the tree where May is.
"Sure... Why not." Ren slouched sarcastically, but he trusts his team leader to know that he got a plan for the sniper.
Jaune gave a quick look to Pyrrha who nods and charges into battle again with him doing the same while Nora is making her way all to the top of the mountain so she can give herself a super charge power-up to victory.
Roy threw his buzzsaw blades from his armbraces at Jaune who blocks them with his shield though one bends the metal of the shield to hit Jaune's face making him dizzy, and he starts fighting Pyrrha after getting his buzzsaw blades back as she defends with her shield.
But Jaune quickly recovered and goes in to fight.
"Yeah! Go get 'em, Jaune!" Ruby cheered for her first friend.
"Well, he's certainly improved." Weiss admitted, seeing this for herself though it's only a little.
"Jaune come a long way since coming to this school, I'm sure he'll become even stronger than this by the time we all graduate." Jotaro believed.
"Yeah, but he ain't got nothing on Pyrrha!" Yang felt excited.
True to Yang's words, Pyrrha is fighting off both Brawnz and Roy at the same time and back-to-back as they are trying to get in closer to land one hit, but she counters them through every turn.
May spotted Ren coming towards her and tries shooting at him but the green ninja of Team JNPR dodges them and made his way to the forest side as he slides under Pyrrha who just jumped.
But then Nolan appeared from behind a rock to stop Ren from getting to May.
"(I'm surprised he could get up after Nora hit him in the dick.)" Ren thought commented.
Ren first fired some shots at Nolan as he dodges them and they attack with their weapons and block his cattle prod with the blade of his gun, kick Nola on both sides and use that prod to hold him into a lock hold keeping Nolan in front so that May can't fire at him.
May can see that her teammate is being held hostage and tries to think of something, but then she saw the hammer girl climbing up the mountain heading for the thunderclouds. Remembering what those old teachers said about her Semblance, she takes aim to her enemy.
"Nora!" Ren worried with the sniper now having her attention on Nora.
Jaune clashes his sword against Brawnz's claw gloves holding him back and turns his head to see that Nora is in danger, there was only one thing he could think of at this point.
"I think the next thing Jaune is going to do is toss Pyrrha up in the air to block the next bullet that comes out of that girl's gun." Jotaro predicted.
"Pyrrha, up!" Jaune called out and pushes Brawnz away.
Pyrrha goes under Roy and towards Jaune as she jumps over Brawnz to land on the Arc shield and is thrown high into the air.
May has the target in sight and pulled the trigger to fire the Dust bullet, but the shot never met with Nora because of Pyrrha getting in the way and her shield taking the shot.
"Holy shit, you actually called it!" Yang was surprised.
"It's like you could see the future!" Ruby was amazed.
"How did you know what was going to happen? It's like you have a second Semblance." Weiss was shocked that Jotaro predicted something, and it happened.
"It's a little trick I picked up from my grandfather about knowing how to read your opponent like a book. What they'll do, their behavior, and even knowing what they're about to say next." Jotaro mentioned his grandpa.
"But he was always a pain in the ass, the old geezer doesn't know when to get under my skin and yells at me for something like wanting to have a snack or punched someone who annoys me." Jotaro started talking smack about his grandpa.
"Sounds like you give him trouble." Blake commented.
Jotaro started to think about his grandpa Joseph Joestar, despite being an annoying man most of the time, the old man does have his moments when it comes to using his smarts to get out of a tough situation.
"(Hope he isn't too worried that I'm not dead and in another world.)" Jotaro thought chuckled.
After keeping Nora safe from being shot by May, she was able to reach the top of the mountain with her hammer held high and the lightning bolt hitting the hammer charging up her Semblance, Nora twirls her hammer a bit and change it into its grenade launcher mode firing all six rounds to where May is.
May looks up in shock that the six missiles are coming at her and they strangely forming into a pink cloud heart, and a huge pink explosion erupted on impact.
Fortunately for May, she barely had time to dodge the incoming attack seeing the damage this girl has done.
May has shown to be okay as she was able to get away from the explosion though barely and the black smokes from the scorch mark going up causing her to cough up and force to jump down from the nearby tree she got on.
Brawnz, Roy, and Nolan turn around and look up behind them to see Nora jumped off the mountain and come at them literally like a pink meteor with a large pink electric aura forming around her.
Nora screams as she slams her hammer on the ground causing a powerful pink shockwave that sends the three flying and crashing near May who is coughing from the smoke.
"This is it, guys! Let's finish 'em with team attacks! Ren! Nora! Flower Power!" Jaune commanded.
"Wait, what?" Nora asked.
Jaune gasp in shock that Nora just asked a question she should already know what that is, but as he turns around to notice the confusion look on their faces as they have no idea of what he is talking about.
"F-Flower Power." Jaune said, his friends just shrug as they still don't have a clue.
"That's your team attack name!" Jaune tried to remind them.
"Since when?" Ren asked as he doesn't feel confident with the name.
"Guys, we've been over this! Flower Power is Ren and Nora! Ren brings the flower; Nora brings the power!" Jaune explained with his hands gesturing between Nora and Ren.
"How do I bring a flower?" Ren asked, feeling confused of this while scratching the back of his head.
"No, silly, not a flower! Flour, like in baking!" Nora believed, but completely misunderstanding the purpose of the name.
"Why would I bring that?" Ren wondered what does baking has anything to do with battling and team attacks.
"I- Uh- No, it's your symbol!" Jaune stated.
"Sooo, what are we?" Pyrrha asked if she and Jaune have a team attack name too.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune gasped of how his own partner could question him like that.
"Sorry! I just want to make sure it's clearly defined." Pyrrha said.
"Pyrrha, you and I are Arkos. It's that thing when we take our shields? Remember?" Jaune reminded his partner about the combination of their last names together as he tries to be patient with his team.
Team BRNZ are just looking at their opponent with confusion on their faces as they are wondering why those guys are talking to each other right now when they should be more focused on them.
"Arkos?" Pyrrha was surprised and felt a little conflicted about the name.
"Yeah! It's our names put together!" Jaune explained.
"Right, no, I get it..." Pyrrha said, suddenly feeling a little fluster of their combined name almost like a couple, even though they're not and not sure if the name is suited for a team attack.
"What, do you not like it?" Jaune asked.
"No, no! It's... good?" Pyrrha hesitated to give Jaune a clear answer.
"Mmm, I sense hesitation." Nora teased with a smirk.
"Fuck, Jaune… Forget about the stupid win and fight!" Jotaro demanded, not liking how Jaune could just suddenly pause the battle for something stupid like names for a combo move or whatever.
Yeah, this was really getting annoying to Team BRNZ because they want to get their fight over with since they lost their fight to Jotaro and Kimi, wanting to redeem themselves in this second chance they were given.
But they can't do that if their opponents aren't in the fight.
"Hey!" Brawnz shouted getting team JNPR's attention.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Brawnz asked.
"Trying to have a team meeting, thank you very little!" Jaune answered.
"Yeah! Team ears only!" Nora said pointing at her own ears. This seems to only upset team BRNZ as they struggle to process this.
"WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT!" Brawnz yelled of reminding those idiots.
"AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION! WHAT DON'T YOU GET ABOUT THAT!?" Jaune shouted back louder and angry.
"Um, Jaune?" Pyrrha talked to her leader.
"Yes, Pyrrha?" Jaune responded, still annoyed with these guys.
"I think that he means that we're all in the middle of a fight." Pyrrha gestured around about the people who are in the stadium watching the whole thing.
Then the realization of the Vytal Tournament and the actual fight they were supposed to do has finally sank into Jaune Arc's head, his own pride in the names had almost made him forgot about that.
"Nora, just... hit them with the hammer." Jaune sighed as he facepalmed himself with the flat end of his sword.
"Got it." Nora smirked evilly.
"Wait, what?!" Brawnz gasped as he and his teammates became very scared of the carrot top girl.
Nora jumps over to team BRNZ before they can react and she is right in front of them, and she swings her mighty Magnhild hitting all four of her enemies sending them all crashing right onto the forcefield of the audience seats. And their bodies are bent in positions they shouldn't be doing.
"And with that, it appears Team JNPR wins by knockout, literally! ...Can someone go make sure they're okay?"Port asked.
(Crow Bar)
At a local bar where one dark gray-haired man has been watching the fight between team JNPR and team BRNZ and seeing the former team won, and the bartender was also watching the match and seem to like team JNPR kids.
"Huh, those kids weren't half bad!" The bartender smiled while cleaning an empty cup.
However, the gray hair man didn't react much just giving a "meh" expression and took another drink.
(Back with Jotaro and Others)
"Now wait a minute. You and I fought them in the first fight, right?" Kimi asked Jotaro and her friends.
"Yeah." Jotaro nodded.
"Then how in the world did Team BRNZ get another chance in fighting in the tournament when they lost?" Kimi asked.
"To those who are wondering about why Team BRNZ fought twice in the tournament then allow me to explain. You see, a mistake was made with the numbers of teams entering the tournament which would've been an even number, but someone goofed up the count adding another team into the roaster making it odd. So, we had to randomly chose one of the teams that got defeated and that lucky bunch was Team BRNZ." Oobleck explained about team BRNZ's situation.
"Oh, that answers that." Kimi was glad to know now.
"Too bad they lost again." Jotaro shrugged.

Oh yeah, Team JNPR won their battle against their opponent even though Jaune almost screwed up with the talk about names for combos and such, and I know I screwed up with having Team BRNZ fight again in the tournament, so I made the little odd numbers of teams explanation done by Oobleck to clear things up.
