Sorry for the late Chapter post.

Slugterra Chapter 8 Escaping Atlas Part 2

Winter and her squad were quickly heading to the end of the secret escape tunnel. Winter was fully aware of where this escape tunnel led.

The Ace Ops closely followed behind. Going through the city and reaching a large sewer drain. Winter knew that because she took this bath a long time ago. She thought it would've been bricked off by now when she took this passage. It was when she went to the Atlas Academy.

When she reached the entrance, she waited patiently. The others hid by the sides, all wanting Whitley to run through it.

Clover knelt on top of a building in the distance. He was wearing night vision goggles and was there to give the okay if Whitley approached. He tapped his right ear, pushing his earpiece.

"Alright, team. Everyone is set in position. I'll give the word when I see him. And team, this isn't some deranged criminal; excessive force will not be tolerated. Do I make myself clear?" Clover asked.

"Copy!" All of them said back.

Winter waited for all communication and phones were turned off, they didn't wanna give Whitley any hint that they were there. The only thing was the radio for back and forth talk. So they waited blindingly until they could sigh.

Winter took a deep breath, no matter what she would bring her brother in, hopefully safely and without harm.

"Whitley, when I catch you, please be honest. I don't know if I can protect you," Winter thought.

Clover continued to watch. He could see someone approaching. He clicked his earpiece and spoke into it.

"Someone is coming, look sharp team," Clover said.

All of the Ace operatives ready themselves, waiting to see who would come from this secret entrance. Winter took a deep breath, also tightened the grip on her sword.

Family or not, her little brother needed to face judgment and answer for what he was doing.

"You can come out, he's not here," A familiar voice called out. Winter froze remembering that voice. The voice of her mother. Slowly stepping out she turned on her flashlight in the dark tunnel. Seeing Willow Schnee standing with a blank face.

The Ace operatives quickly followed, thinking that they had their suspect, only to see. It was Willow Schnee.

"What the hell!" Harriet said out loud.

"Ground team, what's the problem? Do you have eyes on the target?" Clover asked through the communication earpieces.

"Negative, it's Willow Schnee," Vine said.

Willow could see their confusion and decided to clarify the situation. She raised her arms, showing that she wasn't armed.

"Hello, Winter. It's good to see you again," She said quietly. Winter was flabbergasted as she marched towards her mother.

"What are you doing here? Are you aiding Whitley," She asked, almost offended at the idea that she would try to help him escape, but not her in their entire family past.

"No… I was hoping to talk some sense to him. However, it appears he took the other tunnel out of the mansion," Willow said sadly and calmly.

"What other secret tunnel? This was the only one," Winter said, not believing her mother's words. Willow let out a sigh and nervously grabbed her hands. She pulled out a scroll and handed it to Winter.

Taking the scroll, it was paused on a video, she cautiously looked at her mother and clicked the video. It showed Whitley in his father's office to reveal he escaped to another secret entrance. However, what gained her attention was the strange creature on his shoulder. Winter glanced up and kept rubbing her hands anxiously.

"Just make sure you bring him back in one piece," Willow said walking away.

"Wait, why are you doing this?" Winter asked. Willow paused and her face showed sympathy.

"You're brother is over his head, just make sure he stays here. If it be on the other side of a jail cell so be it," Willow said walking back into the sewer drain. Winter was astonished, but she let out a sigh. Looking back at the Ace operatives. Clicking her earpiece.

"Clover target is negative. He took another tunnel route. Send out a search through the entire city, he could be anywhere," Winter said to Clover.

"Well, it looks like we can't underestimate him. But let's head back to base and see if we can check the surveillance, there's no way he could've gone away that easily without being captured on camera."

Winter nodded and felt her hand grip in anger. How could she be outmaneuvered? She understood her brother was smart, but keeping secrets like this. He was going against his father's will. This wasn't trying to capture her little brother as she thought beforehand. Now she was trying to capture a different person, someone she never knew.

"We are heading back to base, I will inform the general of our failure," Winter said. While beginning to pack up, deep within the tunnel Willow glanced at her shaking hands.

"There's only one place he's going to be and I'm going to intercept him there. Whitley, you're not as smart as you think," Willow thought.

Whitley was lying down on the truck floor, hiding under a white blanket that the Shane family smuggled across Atlas City. Not wanting to be caught by any cameras, they had been driving for hours in the back roads. The sun was starting to come up. It wouldn't have been so horrible if Cricket would have stopped swinging his legs and kept kicking Whitley back.

"Cricket, will you stop that!" Whitley whispered aggressively. The young Shane stooped and brought his legs up, hugging his knees.

"You got it, cousin," Cricket said with a proud smile. "I'm just so excited you're going to meet my best friend Remmy!"

"Yeah, about that, I know you guys say you have a plan to get off this floating city but you haven't explained what it is," Whitley said with uncertainty. Jimmo let out a sigh, as he looked in the mirror, making sure they weren't followed.

"We got a transport bullhead to meet us at the farming district, Cricket friend Remmy arranged it for us, so just keep your head down, we're almost," Jimmo Said calmly. Whitley nodded and felt a smile creep on his face. He was almost free and could look upon a new day.

Jimmo had a worried expression on his face. The concern was building up when he noticed the white patch on Whitley's face. He looked like he had a little scuffle with the Huntsman who intercepted him, but that bandage looked older, yet fresh.

"Whitley… what happens to your face?" Jimmo asked. Whitley paused and felt his throat become dry.

"It's not a nice story, besides maybe it's one I would like to tell in private," Whitley said. Cricket gasped and glanced down at his cousin.

"Did you fight a bear? Is that what you're not telling us? Please tell me you fought a bear!" Cricket yelled.

"Did you die?" Tilly asked.

Whitley and Burpy both paused at the question but didn't want to answer. Alice, who sat in the middle of the front seat, knew what had happened. She was the person who read the newspaper every day. Jacque Schnee was out of town so she left Willow home alone with Whitley. She didn't want to think that was the truth, but so help her if Willow struck Whitley, whatever grand power above wouldn't save Willow, it would be hell on Remnant.

Their car zoomed out of the city gates. No more paved roads but dirt paths. Cricket glanced outside, looking at the wheat fields that were growing on the floating city, Atlas wanted to make sure it was sustained by its own, not wanting to rely on others. Bill glanced in disappointment, seeing that there weren't any human workers but regular machine drones tending to the crops.

To him, getting rid of people doing the common job was just wrong. "Alright, Whitley, I think we're in the clear now, I don't see any cameras, just these drones."

"No! Don't be careless!" Whitley protested from underneath his blanket. Bill was confused until Jimmo pointed at one of the drones.

"Bill, he's right there are cameras in those drones, we've made it this far. We have to be careful." Jimmo said. Cricket and Tilly glanced out the window.

"Hi, Mr. Ironwood," Tilly said hello innocently waving towards them.

"Yeah, get a load of this general rusty!" Cricket said, extending his middle finger toward the drones.

"Cricket don't flip off the drones, that's just rude behavior!" Bill said in a heavy tone.

"But grandma is doing it!" Cricket whined back. Bill turned to his right, seeing Alice giving the double bird to the drones.

"Mom!" Bill said in surprise. Jimmo quickly put down her hands.

"Darn it! Alice, we gotta be better than machines!" Jimmo cried out. Alice reluctantly listened, but she had a proud smirk. Whitley could not help but smile.

"Why do you look so excited?" Burpy asked

"I can't help it, my first road trip. I never thought I would go on one," Whitley said in excitement.

The car suddenly stopped, Whitley poked his head out, seeing the Bullhead outside of the window, Bill glanced behind Whitley.

"Whitley, stay back here, we're going to handle it," Bill said as he, Alice, and Jimmo got out of the car. Cricket quickly followed them, opening the door. Tilly glanced down at Whitley who was still hiding.

"It's okay, Whitley, I don't see any more drones, it's just us and Remmy outside with his bodyguard, I also see the transport bullhead, it looks huge!" Tilly said excitedly. Whitley could have heard of the name, Remmy.

"Wait, you mean Remmy Remington?" Whitley asked.

"Yep, he's Cricket's best friend. Not to mention a good person," Tilly said. Whitley wasn't surprised at all, the Remingtons were one of the richest families in the world, possibly even being more wealthy than the Schnees. However, despite that he had heard of the kind stories from that family. The charities that they would open were quite successful. Whitley didn't want to blow his cover. Did the heir of the Remington's want to help or was he being lied to?

After all, Jacque had a hatred for the Remmington, knowing that they were a more successful, richer family, even though he held a grip on the dusk industry, they owned so many stocks that they were more than successful in business.

"Tilly, does he know he's helping a Schnee right now?" Whitley asked.

Tilly glanced out the open window but a gruff voice had answers for him. "Of course, Master Remmy was well-informed about your situation."

Whitley froze and Burpy hid in his shirt pocket. Tilly had a very calm front. "Hello, Vazquez, this is our cousin Whitley."

"Shh, Tilly, don't tell him that I'm here!" Whitley said in a panic.

"It's alright, there's no surveillance in this part of the area. Surprisingly, the city of Atlas does have its blind spots," Vazquez said. "Please, yourself or I shall make you."

Whitley gulped, getting out of the blanket and out of the truck. He gulped, stepping out to see the one who spoke. The person who stood in front of him was a giant. He had slick blue hair, and in the back was a ponytail.

He had sunglasses that were purple-tinted. While wearing a black suit with a red tie. Whitley knew when he was looking at a bodyguard. Being a rich kid all his life, he was familiar with the profession, however, the person that was standing in front of him today was Vazquez, one of the best and most deadly bodyguards in the world. He was so legendary he used to be one of General Ironwood's predecessors.

Whitley gulped but found the hard stare through Vazquez's sunglasses. "Master Remmy would like to meet you now, please don't keep him waiting."

Whitley nodded and walked to the gaunt bullhead. He paused seeing his family, but a small boy looking the same age as Cricket.

He was a bit larger, wearing black rimmed glasses and a sweater vest with tan pants. He had darker skin but a smile like no other. Whitley knew who this was. Remmy Remington, the richest boy in the world, and he was now awkwardly looking right at Whitley.

"Oh hey Cricket, so this is your cousin," Remmy asked nervously.

"Yep, that's my favorite and only cousin, Whitley," Cricket said. Remmy gulped, bravely walking forward to Whitley. The two shared an awkward glance at each other. They're pretty much family rivals. The dude between them was something else, but Whitley put that aside, he wasn't Schnee, he was a Shane, and Remmy was here to help the Shanes. It was time to show that.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you, I'm Whitley," He said, extending his hand for Remmy to shake it.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you too," Remmy said quickly, taking the hand, and the wave of relief that went over the young boy was noticeable. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so awkward. It's just I really can't believe it. You're secretly a Shane! That's so cool."

"Wait, they told you!" Whitley said, glancing up at cricket, who had an awkward expression. Yet Grandma Alice had stepped in, to explain.

"We had to tell Remmy the whole story, that way he wasn't left in the dark. Sorry Whitley but it's a trust thing," Alice said, trying to explain that this was a more complicated matter.

"No, I get it. Honestly, if you wanted to use it as blackmail against that family, I wouldn't blame you," Whitley said. Referring to his mother's side of the family.

"I don't understand what's the point of the feud your two families have," Cricket said.

"My father isn't the richest man in the world it would be Remmy's father, gets heated about the discussion. I think he argued with him a couple of times. Remmy, I'm sorry the trouble my dad has caused your family. if you had any Greek qualities to him, I would say them…" Whitley stood in silence.

"Kind of a long pause?" Burpy spoke up in his pocket.

"It's an empty list, I can tell you that," Whitley said with an honest blank expression. Remmy glanced at the boy and let out a chuckle.

"Honestly, it's not a few at all. My dad doesn't even consider him as a threat. I can see that you are nothing like him," Remmy said with a happy smile.

"Which is honestly a blessing in disguise," Vasquez spoke. All of the Shanes nodded their heads in a union of agreement.

"Amen to that!" Alice said.

"So you're not gonna leave me here alone while you guys get out of the city?" Whitley asked.

"What, no way I wouldn't do something so heartless, besides. I think being Shane is way cooler than being a Schnee, so let's not dilly dally anymore, let's get out of here," Remmy said, charging for the large Bullhead. Whitley smiled and watched as the other Shanes got into the truck. The loading door for the bullhead opened. Whitley felt a true smile on his face. His freedom was here, Burpy took his head out of his pocket.

"Well what are you waiting for? Let's go already!" Burpy said with an eager smile. As Whitley began to walk to the old red truck. The sun slowly started to rise as a new dawn was beginning.

"I guess the Shanes could make friends with anyone," Whitley thought.

While the world was beginning to see the grand news that one of the richest people in the world was running away from home, every news broadcast started telling the story, each one having their unique version of some tale they spun up out of the blue.

Many were surprised, but some would wonder why a boy with so much would just run away. While the sun was rising, in the kingdom of Vale.

Vale, home of mountains and the Huntsman School of beacon, where future warriors are made. In the mess hall, they were in the giant lunch halls enjoying their meals. Four girls were enjoying their breakfast. One wears a black dress consisting of a long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining and a red petticoat. She also wears a pair of thick black tights that fade to red near the bottom, and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles.

This was Ruby rose and she is enjoying a nice stack of pancakes. The girl next to her was bright like a sun, wearing a tan jacket that bares her midriff, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons. Underneath this, she wears a low-cut yellow crop top with her emblem on the left breast in black. Which was the black flaming heart. This was Yang Xiao Long, the big sister to Ruby.

The person across from her was stuck in her book, she wears a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Underneath this is a white, sleeveless, high-necked, crop undershirt and tight white spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs with a zipper on the front of each leg, emblazoned with the strange logo of the real-life Japanese zipper manufacturer. Blake Belladonna, a quiet book worm, yet she was part of this wild team.

Last but not least, at the left end, was a girl typing away on her scroll looking board. Now wearing a thigh-length strapless dress with a faint color gradation from white to pale blue at the hem. A small piece of black lace sits in the front of her neckline and the hem of the dress is scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes, with layers of white tulle under the skirt. Over this, she wears a bell-sleeved bolero with the same color gradation as her dress from shoulder to wrist, lined in red and with a ruffled collar. On the back of the bolero is the Schnee Crest. The black sharp snowflake.

This was Team Rwby, only one of the many teams that worked together to become the next generation of protectors. It had been the beginning of their

"Hey, Weiss, what do you want to do today?" Ruby asked.

"Nothing much, I've been trying to contact my father all day about this by the strict allowance policy that he had set up for me, I believe I'm more mature for a larger amount," Weiss said proudly.

"Or you could spend it more on us," Yang said eagerly, hoping to be spoiled. Ruby with a giddy smile agreed.

"Yes, it would be so cool if you did that. There are so many new video games out!" Ruby cheers.

"I wouldn't mind a new book," Blake quietly says. Weiss rolls her eyes, only to see a notification pop up on her scroll. It was a news notification, but she didn't pay it any attention. The next thing was her phone started to ring. Someone was calling her. The identification of the collar was her mother. Staring at the phone and utter shock, realizing her mother never called her.

Weiss stared at the phone, wondering what kind of drama she was getting herself into, what drunken slur she would say. Looking at her team, she sighed and declined the call. Weiss didn't want to deal with any family drama today, besides it was her day off.

"So, who wants to head to the city?" Weiss asked. The three looked at each other and smiled.

"A cafe day it is," Ruby cheers. Weiss agreed she tried to think of anything that could even warrant her mother to call her. She was probably drunk again. It was a good thing she was out of that house.

Winter and Weiss were free of that house. The only one left was Whitley. She almost felt bad if Whitley wasn't just some little weasel. Looking at the team RWBY, she couldn't help but think about how much they were more of a family to her than her father and brother. Mother probably so drunk she called me to give Whitley a happy birthday, even though a couple of days have passed. It didn't matter who even wanted to celebrate their birthday, especially that one.

The day the Schnee pest was born.

"Hmm, I wonder what Whitley is doing right now, probably still in father's shadow, while I'm here seeing the world. What am I doing? I have no time to worry about such things. I'm a huntress. I'll bring pride to the Schnee name, my way!"

Whitley glances at the red door in front of him, standing at the home porch of the Shanes. How he dreamed to be back at this house yet again. If only he was able to stay forever, unfortunately, he had to go to Slugterra. Off this world and deep down into a new world.

Bill opened up the door, holding it for Whitley. "Well, make yourself comfortable. We made the basement a little more comfortable for your liking."

Whitley smiled walking into the house and feeling that sense of home. He let out a big sigh and took his suitcase with him. Setting them down on the living room table. The young man sat down on the pink couch. Burpy hopped out of his pocket looking at his friend.

"Wow, it's over," Whitley said in a tired sigh. Yet the hard truth had to rear its ugly head. "When do I have to go?"

Jimmo sat down in the red lazy boy. "We're not going to send you there unprepared, but while you're here. I need you to keep a low profile. Don't want any prying eyes on us right now."

"Not to mention we need to work on your Aura and Semblance. Those are two important things!" Alice said. Whitley glanced at them, then sadly looked down at the ground.

"I don't have either of those, besides isn't having an aura resemblance, pretty rare even in Slugterra?" Whitley asked.

"Whitley, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the reason why there aren't many people down there with aura, it's because they are just gosh darn fought without. Living in Slugterra makes you tougher. Those people have to adapt to those harsh conditions. It is how they can take a boulder being thrown right in their chest. Living in that comfortable mansion, all your life has made you soft," Alice said truthfully, even if it did hurt a little bit. Jimmo decided to step in.

"We can help you unlock your Aura, you're gonna need it, the semblance, it's just the cherry on top," Jimmo said with an honest smile.

"Yeah, I bet you got that cool Glyphs thing right?" Cricket asked. Burpy shook his head, trying to not make Whitley think about it.

"I can't do Glyphs…" Whitley said sadly. Cricket and Tilly gasped. They always hear legendary stories about the Schnee's special family semblance.

"Yep, that makes sense you probably got more of your father's side," Alice said nonchalantly. This made Whitley have a sense of wonder.

"Did Will Shane have a semblance?" He asked out loud. Jimmo nodded, scratching his beard nostalgically.

"Yes, he did have one, we don't have any big family semblance, and Alice, I still don't have our semblance. We just relied on the aura and some hard years of training. Thanks to Slugterra, but Will did have a semblance," Jimmo informed.

"I got one! My Semblance makes me sticky and can climb walls," Cricket said. That just made way too much sense.

"I can talk to animals!" Tilly chimed in. Bill could see the sadness in Whitley's eyes. These children were much younger than him, who had discovered them in her power so easily. Bill smiled and patted Whitley back as he was sitting hunched.

"Hey there, don't let that get you down. A lot of people find their semblance in their way, it took me a long time to unlock my super strength," Bill said trying to comfort Whitley. That didn't help much but Whitley did appreciate it.

"Thanks, kind of feels like a dead end. I think my assemblance might just be a random wildcard at this point," Whitley grumbled.

Burpy hopped onto Whitley's other shoulder and onto the table.

"Whitley, my friend's semblance was called Heart Link. It was really special. He had super empathetic ability, but it only worked when he grew close to people. He grew close to all of his slugs, and while he could read us like open books, we were able to read him as well. It made for an unstoppable combo. We were all on the same page, so don't feel too bad, Whitley, it takes time," Burpy said. Whitley nodded and took a deep breath.

"Yeah, you're right, maybe I'm just overthinking things,"

"Take a load and rest. It's been a long day, here let's turn on the television and see what's on," Bill said, picking up the remote and turning it on. Tilly and cricket hopped on the same couch. Liking to be near Whitley.

"Breaking news, Whitley Schnee has been reported to be missing the only few camera sightings that we have are of him entering the park and then leaving the other way, investigators are theorizing that this young man may have been responsible for the forest fire and though it is a theory, some even think that he's linked to breaking down the walls of Atlas if you see him, please contact this number and alert your authorities-

"Click!" Bill immediately turned off the television.

"Whelp that's enough TV for today, let's just try to get some shut-eye," Bill said, his eyes sunken with worry. Standing up and leaving for his room. Alice and Jimmo couldn't help but smile, feeling like it was just like the good old days.

"Whitley, we got a bed down for you in the basement, I'm going to take a nap. Training starts tomorrow morning," Alice said, getting off her chair.

"Wait!" Whitley cried out. Even Bill walked down the steps to hear the commotion.

"Would you guys, please help me turn on my Aura? I've heard stories that people with experience can bring it out. I just want to make sure I can do this right before anything else," Whitley said. Everyone glanced at him but all of them just smiled. Then Whitley felt two hands on his shoulder. Tilly and cricket respectively on both sides nodded at Whitley and closed their eyes.

Bill took the Crickets' hands while Alice held Tilly's hands. Continuing the two was Jimmo as the family formed a circle around Whitley. The young man then felt one more reach out and grab his hand. Looking down to see Burpy with an eager grin looking up at his friend.

Whitley gulped, looking around him, this was such a big request and yet none of the family members objected with any hesitation. Tears forming in his eyes Whitley nodded at them. "Thank you."

"Whitley, we're gonna be activating your aura now, but you're gonna have to take the time to practice and use this to the best of your ability. But I know you're a smart kid. You'll figure it out," Jimmo said, looking at Whitley with a proud glance.

"What are we waiting for? Let's see what color this boy's aura is," Alice said as her body began to glow with a purple glow. Tilly nodded as she began to show her aura as well, which was a bright sunny yellow. Cricket's aura was bright red, Bills was a brilliant emerald green, and Jimmo's was light blue. Burpy let his Slug energy slowly intertwine with Whitley's soul.

The young man couldn't speak, the kind glow of love had passed through him and his body without any resistance allowed the auras to enter him. Whitley felt his heart pound in joy as a glow slowly appeared all over his body. Everyone quickly let go and watched as the magic happened.

Tilly gasped at the color. "Oh, my stars and gardens!"

"Wow cool,"

"Well, I'll be,"

"No way,"

Whitley heard their comments and wasn't sure what was going on. He could feel his life energy start to flare as he began to have more control over it, yet he did not know what color his aura was. "What's wrong, did I do something?"

"No, Whitley, it's not that, your aura colors it's something I've never seen before," Jimmo said.

"Wait, What color is it?" Whitley asked. Burpy quickly hopped onto his partner's shoulder.

"Dude, the real question is what color is it not, Whitley, you're glowing multiple colors," Burpy said with curiosity. Whitley looks down at his hands, seeing that the Aura that covered them was incredibly reflective, constantly changing colors from the darkest shades to the brightest of rainbows.

Whitley took a deep breath and let the newly found aura fall over him. The colors slowly vanished yet his blue eyes shined with extraordinary hope. Looking at his hand, it looked as good as new. He even reached up to the bandage that was on his honest cheek. Quickly taking it off, seeing that his fresh cut began to turn into a scar.

What he always seemed to be barbaric in his eyes showed him that this was him. That aura was a part of himself that he objected to for so long because his father demanded he never fight or take up arms. He felt a sense of liberation.

"Thank you, thank you all of you. You're the best family I could have asked for!" Whitley said as he began to gently weep. The shackles were finally taken off, bringing so much joy to him. It was then that Alice quickly walked over to the weeping boy and handed him a doily to dry off his tears.

"Yeah, it's no big deal. Just get some sleep tonight. We'll work on some basic self-defense techniques." Alice didn't have anything else to say tonight, but they would have more to talk about in the morning. Jimmo followed behind her and nodded to Whitley.

"I knew there was something special about you, even if you weren't Shane. I can tell you were meant for big things," Jimmo said with a kind smile. Whitley nodes and waved good night to them. Tilly and cricket didn't say much as they both found themselves passed out on the couch. Whitley was worried that this order transfer process was harmful, but Bill didn't seem worried at all as he picked the two up in his arms.

"Don't worry, Whitley, that's what they get for giving you so much of their aura. Just let them rest and I'm sure I'll be back to their hyperactive ways. So right now just enjoy the peace. That's my advice, good night, Whitley," Bill said walking off to tuck his children in.

Letting out a tired yawn, standing up from the couch, grabbing his suitcase, he began to head to the basement door. With his Slug still on his shoulder. Burpy couldn't help but compare Will to Whitley, that this boy was meant for great things.

"Hey, Burpy, do you think Will would have told me all these things in the first place?"

"There's not a doubt in my mind that he wouldn't," Burpy responded. Whitley with all this drama that was happening in his life. A part of him did wish to meet his real biological father. However, all that mattered was getting some rest. He opened the basement door. Seeing the darkness below, he had no fear looking into it, but at the end of the day, it was just shadows and the absence of light.

Seeing the light switch was right by his side on the right wall. He flicked it on and the lights came on with no problem, and you could see the old concrete stairs that led down. As he walked down, he noticed how big the basement was, styled with cat posters on the wall, while the laundry and dryer were in the corner of the room, right by the staircase with the bed. It was a nice white mattress with sheets, a gray blanket, and a couple of soft fluffy pillows.

Without a complaint in his body he fell on top of the firm yet soft mattress. His eyes felt like they were drifting away, and it was going to sleep that he wasn't gonna be able to change his clothes into pajamas whatsoever. Whitley was exhausted from the day he had fought off a Huntsman and hid himself in the back of a red truck.

"Good night Burpy," Whitley said. There was no answer from the slug. I said, glanced to his right side, seeing that the slug was already falling asleep on one of the pillows, letting out a loud snore. Whitley giggled at the Slug but laid right back down.

"I'm going to Slugterra, who would've thought a spoiled little rich kid like me was going to an entirely different world sounds like pure fantasy to me, yet meeting these people this real family I'm just happy to know that there's people who like me so I'm going to do my best to make them proud, thank you for treating me like a real human being," Whitley said reminiscing over the past couple days. His eyes slowly closed and he drifted away into a slumber.

Burpy opened his eyes, and he had heard everything. The slug took his time to look at Whitley's face. "I thought the surface would be better for someone like you, but it wasn't. I promise to always protect you no matter what, as long as you've got my back and I've got yours, or bring justice to Slugterra for Will,"

Burpy then hopped into Whitley's hand, lying down in the palm of his hand, comforting himself. As the Slug fell asleep, on Whitley's free hand that dangled off the bed. On the palm, a red circle of light appeared, then for a brief moment small whips of fire came out. Whitley opened his eyes and felt something was strange. He looked at his hand, seeing it was normal, but as he tried to move the other one, he felt some resistance as the Burpy was trying to sleep.

He looked at the hand and tractor shoulders, he did rest. The last thing he needed to do was to stay up all night.

Whitley's eyes slowly opened to the sunlight from the small window beaming down on his face. Looking at his hand, seeing Burpy was still sleeping in his hands. The Slug woke up as well and glanced up at Whitley. Letting out a loud yawn, he got up and leaned on Whitley's shoulder.

"Morning, Whitley, how did you sleep? Because you're still in you're regular clothing," Burpy asked.

"Better than my entire life," Whitley said

Then walked up the steps, he could go for some breakfast, besides it sounded like someone was cooking in the kitchen. It smells like eggs and bacon. Walking out of the basement and into the kitchen doorway.

Standing by the oven, serving himself breakfast, was Billy. The man turned around and was surprised to see Whitley right in front of him, but that soon turned into a smile.

"Hey, if it isn't the man of the hour, I hope you don't mind I haven't had breakfast," Billy sat down and glared at Whitley. He slowly placed the western revolver on the table, showing that he wasn't here to hurt anybody. He then pushed it to the other side of the table.

"Whitley, We need to talk. All this attention you're drawing is not good. I need you to take me to Slugterra, please, have you gotten anything to where to go?"

Whitley wanted to say something but he had no lead or clue. "I'm sorry but I don't-"

Bang!

Whitley watched as Billy's head slammed on the table as he was knocked out cold. Standing behind him was Alice holding a frying pan and wasn't wearing her big rimmed glasses. Whitley and Burpy watched as Alice had just knocked out Billy with ease.

"Grandma Alice, you didn't have to knock him out!" Whitley cried out. Burpy winced one and twice at what he saw. She looked up at Whitley with her old eyes.

"What are you talking about, this isn't my brother Jimmo, and I knocked out someone who wasn't him?" Alice asked confused.

"Yes!" Burpy shouted.

"Wait, why were you trying to knock out great uncle Jimmo!' Whitley panicked. Alice scoffed at the young man and set the pan on the table.

"Because everyone knows this is my bacon and you have to fight to earn it," Alice's mad front turned into a kind face. That to her sweet old lady self. "Now, could you be a dear and help tie this intruder up."

Whitley paused, sighed, and did what she asked. "To be fair, I would take this, then a family dinner any day,"

Notes: Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Sorry, my posting schedule is off, I'm going to have to fix it soon. Still I hope you guys enjoy. So the next Chapter will be about training and then will reach Slugterra. Billy is going to be a part of the Shane gang. Also, Whitley aura was unlocked, the reason why it's multi-colored is because people from Slugterra do have aura, but they have adapted to the harsh conditions that they rarely need it. The same goes for semblance, why have one when there's a slug that can do the same job. The next chapter that I'm working on is the DxD reaction fic, so next Slugterra chapter will be next month. Anyway, I hope you guys have a good time and see you later. Anyway, review is great. Follow and favorite if you want.
