Movie 1: Dead Zone

The barren rocky wasteland shuddered as an overwhelming force tore through it without mercy. Winds blew through with a low whistle that echoed against the countless caverns that lived within the wasteland. "HYAAAH!" A white blast of energy exploded against the rocks, scattering them across the wind.

Huffing with slight exhaustion was none other than the reincarnation of the Demon King Piccolo. His white cap bellowed in the wind as he floated over the destruction he had been causing for a few hours now. This wasn't mindless destruction, of course, he was simply training to increase his own strength. Five years ago, he had suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of his arch-rival Son Goku. Ever since then he had been training himself diligently to exact his vengeance on his foes and rule the world with an iron fist. "Son Goku, next time, I'll defeat you for sure!" Piccolo declared.

Then something in the distance caught his eye. He squinted at the figure running through the air towards him. Then another presence was coming at him from behind in the same running motion. Piccolo assumed it to be Son Goku and that putrid Control Devil he was infatuated with; however, their energies were far too different to belong to those two. Which begged the question on who these meddlesome fools truly are-

FHEW!

Piccolo had no time to react as a third figure came from below. The enemy smashed into his gut, knocking him further into the air. Suddenly, a fourth enemy struck him from behind to knock him into the first two from before. They landed a barrage of strikes against the Namekian without stopping, ensuring that Piccolo had no chance to react. The other two joined the beatdown as well, pressing Piccolo against the rocky cavern. He grunted slightly as he took in the sight before him.

The four who had attacked him stepped back to join up with a large fifth shadowed figure who stood on top of the rocky landscape. "W-who are you?!"

"Finish him!" The leader ordered. His henchmen complied without refusal. All four fired off a large wave of energy that swallowed Piccolo and devastated the rest of the cavern, burying the Namekian in a charred rocky tomb.

"HA HA HA HA HA!" The leader laughed. "Piccolo and Kami are of one body and mind! Now, Kami is dead, too!"

Above the skies of Earth, Kami's Lookout stood tall and divine. The guardian of the planet clutched his chest as he felt Piccolo's life reach dangerous levels. "P-Piccolo has been beaten?!" He was confused on who could've managed to achieve such a feat. "Was it Son Goku or one of the Four Horsemen? Perhaps a powerful Devil had made itself known…?" Suddenly, a terrible thought reached his mind. "No…! There's only one person who could know of my connection with Piccolo…!" Kami struggled to stand, using his staff as a crutch. "I-I have to warn Son Goku…before…be…fore…" The God of Earth collapsed, his staff cluttering to the ground.

Luckily, his attendant had been coming towards his ward with a bucket of water in his hands. "Kami? I've come with the-OH NO!" Mr. Popo tossed the bucket of water aside and hurried to his lord. "Kami! Kami!"

The old Namekian's body moved, signaling that he was still alive. "M-Mr. Popo…?"

"Kami?! What's wrong?! Is it Piccolo?! Is he…?"

"No. He still lives, barely." Kami moved slowly, requiring the help of his attendant. "T-the Earth is in grave danger…! I'm afraid that Garlic Jr. has returned!"

On the peaceful lands of Mt. Paozu, the Son household continued on with their peaceful days without thoughts of the outside world. Son Makima, the wife of Son Goku and one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, shut off the sink faucet as she finished preparing the ingredients for today's lunch. Her husband was out fishing for the meat portion of their lunch while she prepared everything else. Fishing and just outdoor activities in general were of the few activities outside of martial arts that her darling excelled at. They could go to a nearby supermarket in the city to buy fish, but the ones here in the mountains were far healthier to consume.

Makima looked out the window to check for their son, but he was nowhere in sight. A quick scan over the forest allowed her to find that he had simply wandered a bit off into the woods. He had been reading one of his encyclopedias to keep himself busy until lunch was ready. It might have seemed strange for a three-year-old child to be reading something like that, but Gohan was far more intelligent than most children his age, mostly due to her genetics inside of him.

As she stepped outside, greeted by the mild summer heat, she pushed her crimson bangs to the side to take in the beauty in front of her. The sun illuminated the beautiful white and ruby sun dress she was wearing. The mountains truly were better than the bustling city she used to live in before marrying her darling. It made her happy knowing that her son would get to experience this type of life before being more exposed to the noisy city. Makima turned to the direction her son had run off to. "Gohan! Come here!"

A few moments later, the small hybrid hurried to her direction with his huge encyclopedia held above his head. Naturally the boy would be strong due to his genetics even without the proper training to utilize it correctly. It wasn't an issue now, but she and Goku planned to start training him once he was a few more years older. The sun reflected off of his usual red cap which had the Four-Star Dragon Ball resting on the tip. One of the seven mystical artifacts capable of summoning a wish granting dragon once belonged to Gohan's namesake, her darling's adoptive grandfather, was now a little boy's decoration. It was a funny little thing.

"Mommy!" Gohan exclaimed as he approached.

She carefully took the book from him and held it under her arm. "Gohan, what did Mommy say about wandering off into the woods without her or Daddy knowing?"

He lowered his head slightly. "B-but I didn't go off too far…"

"Still, there are many creatures in these woods that could harm you. If you wish to read in a quieter area, then let one of us know ahead of time, okay?" Makima explained to him.

"Yes, Mommy." Gohan nodded his head, understanding her worries. Still, he didn't think it was too big of a deal. He looked around their clearing, not seeing the familiar body of orange. "Where's Daddy?"

"He's still out fishing but he should be back soon. Help me set up the lunch table out here." Makima said.

Gohan gasped with wide eyes. "We're going to eat outside today?!" His brown tail waggled in excitement.

She smiled at his infectious joy, reminded of the boy's father. "Yes, it's a beautiful day. It would be a waste to just sit inside all day." Makima turned towards their storage garage she had recently gotten when the house started to run out of space.

"Can the dogs eat out here with us too?!" Gohan asked.

"As long as you don't feed them too much." Makima replied.

"I won't, Mommy!"

"He probably will." Makima internally sighed. Her little boy would cave instantly to their pets' pouts whenever they begged for scraps. She approached the garage and opened the door, expecting to see their spare table inside. However, the Control Devil's eyes widened at the cloaked figure that stood in the middle of her property. "Who are-"

Suddenly, her shadow came to life, ensnaring the woman tightly. Makima gasped for a moment and fought against the hold she was trapped in. To her surprise, her own shadow seemed to share a similar level of strength to her, making escape difficult.

"Mommy!"

Makima's head whipped around to see that there were other cloaked figures that had invaded her home. One of them held her struggling baby boy by the neck, causing him to scream in fear. Makima called out to her son. "Gohan!" She glared at the intruders with pure animosity. "Who are you?!" It confused her on how these people managed to slip past her notice, it was incredibly difficult for anyone to get the drop on her. "Put my son down, now!" Makima's eyes flashed dangerously in their direction.

Before her powers could invade their minds, a mystical shield blocked her attempt to attack their minds, shocking her. "What?!"

One of the cloaked individuals stepped forward. "We've come for the Dragon Ball on top of that kid's head." He points at the whimpering child.

Whatever reasons they wanted the Dragon Balls for could come later, she was entirely focused on her son's safety. "Then take the ball and leave my home!"

"No can do." The one who had trapped her, a feminine voice came from the captor, stepped past her into the open field. "The Dragon Ball is one of our goals with the capture of the Control Devil's spawn is but the second."

Makima's eyes widened. They knew her identity, the location of her home, the Dragon Balls, and even how to block her abilities! Just who the hell were they?! "I don't know who you people are but be warned that I'll be hunting you down! Not only that but my husband won't let you get away with this either!"

"Unfortunately for you, this is where your story ends." The four cloaks floated into the air, taking Gohan with him.

"Mommy! Mommy, help me!" Gohan cried for his mother.

"Gohan! Mommy's coming! Don't worry!" She continued to push against the shadow's hold, cursing the strange power that's been holding her back. Makima's eyes widened when she noticed the clearing glow far brighter than before. She looked up to see a barrage of energy blasts rain down upon her like a storm of hail. The blasts not only buried her into the ground but also destroyed the home she had built with her husband. Leaving nothing but rubble, scorched ash, and smoke left in their wake.

"MOMMY!" Gohan continued to wail as he was captured by the intruders. They flew off towards their base with the crying child in their grasp.

Goku's eyes snapped open as he felt his wife's energy drop considerably low. He pushed himself out of the lake's warm waters, completely naked from his ventures. Goku forwent the fish he had been spending the late morning capturing in favor of getting dressed. Once he was fully clothed, he sprinted back towards his home to find his wife and son. His eyes widened in worry at the sight of the rubble that used to be his home. "Makima! Gohan! Where are you guys?!"

There were loud barking sounds coming from some of the rubble, catching his attention. He looked over to see their gaggle of dogs, who luckily survived, attempting to get his attention. Goku hurried over to the rubble and started throwing the destroyed pieces of wood and metal out of the way. A breath of relief escaped his throat as he took in the sight of his wife. Her clothes and skin were ruined and burnt but she was clearly still alive. "Makima! Makima, what happened?! Where's Gohan?!"

"D-darling…" Makima was trying to regain her senses. She felt Goku take her into his arms and carry her away from the rubble.

"It's okay, take your time. Explain to me what happened while I was gone." Goku said.

She shook her head. "W-we don't have time…!" The Control Devil was trying to speed up her regeneration. "Intruders slipped past my senses, they came for the Dragon Balls and took Gohan!"

"What?!" Goku was shocked that all of this happened while he was gone. He didn't think there was anything capable of slipping past Makima's defenses so easily but whoever these guys were proved to be dangerous. They also took their son and destroyed their home, which pissed him off a lot. "Do you know where they went?!"

"N-no…and I can't sense Gohan either. It's likely they're using magic to block and interfere with my powers." Makima finished recovering from her wounds and hissed dangerously. "I hate magic!"

"Then, I guess we're gonna have to rely on the old fashion way to find them!" Goku punched his palm.

"Let me change quickly and we'll head out. Those fools are going to pay dearly for crossing us." Makima promised with dark glee.

Far away from human civilization, a dark castle loomed above the clouds. Its dark brown features reflected the orange skies infected by the evil presence within. A child's sniffling could be heard from the throne room, which is where Gohan and the Dragon Ball had been taken. The four individuals who had done the deed bowed respectfully in front of their master.

The first is a short individual. He has a skull-like nose which gives him the appearance of a vampire bat. He has dark olive skin and red eyes, and he is typically seen wearing a large dark cloak. His name is Ginger.

The second is a tall male with white hair and blue skin. He sports a set of sharp fangs. He's dressed in white and purple robes over a set of purple armor that covers his torso. His name is Nicky.

The third is a bulky male. He has long red-purple sideburns, a muscular body type, and a head that somewhat resembles a pickle. His body is covered by black and darkish red armor over his torso. His name is Sansho.

The final is the only female of the group. She has short black hair that reaches down to the top of her neck. She has several pieces of colorful jewelry pierced into her arms and legs. Her slender build is covered by a set of black and purplish armor with tight black leggings over her legs. The most striking detail about her were her glowing amethyst-colored eyes. This woman's name is Amba.

Their leader sat upon his golden throne with a sinister look. He is a small, turquoise alien with pointy ears and green spots above his head. He has white eyes with small black pupils, although in some cases, owing to his more demonic nature, they glow pure red. He wears a burly robe with a white hood and a button under his cloak. Underneath his robe, he is dressed in a black cassock with a gold-colored castle emblem on a red background with a light blue line on the side of the background. Underneath the cassock, he wears black pants and blue shoes. This individual is Garlic Jr. "This makes five of seven, correct?"

"Yes, sir!" His henchmen responded.

"Then there are only two left." Garlic Jr. stood from his throne. "Ginger, once I have all seven together, I can ask Shenron for eternal life, correct?"

"Yes, sir!" Ginger and the others exclaimed.

Garlic Jr. smirked at the vivid images of his future. "Heh! That wretched Kami shall die but I shall remain immortal! Yes, that shall be my first step upon reaching immortality! I'll plunge all living creatures, humans and Devils alike, under my supreme rule! They'll all fall into despair and misery! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!" As he continued his cliche evil laugh, his henchmen shivered a bit.

"I want to go home!"

"Eh?" Everyone looked down at the crying child, having forgotten he was there for a moment. Ginger snarled at the kid, scaring him once more. "Shut it, brat! You're never going home!"

Gohan glared at the mean aliens. "Shut up! My Mommy and Daddy are going to save me! My Daddy is Son Goku, the strongest man in the world! And my Mommy is the Control Devil, they'll come for me!"

"We killed your Mother, boy! Don't you remember?!" Amba yelled.

"Nuh uh! My Mommy's too strong to lose to you losers!" Gohan argued, striking a nerve in the four henchmen.

"Say that again, brat!" Ginger hissed.

"Enough!" Garlic Jr.'s order silenced the air around them. His sinister eyes looked down at Gohan, making the boy flinch. "Your ancestry is exactly why I want you, kid."

"W-what?!" Gohan trembled.

"The son of the powerful Control Devil and Son Goku has to have unmeasurable potential laying deep within. Once I achieve immortality and rule the world, I'll turn you into one of my servants. A loyal pet to use to my whims and nobody in the universe will be able to challenge my rule!" Garlic Jr. declared with a mighty echo.

Gohan continued to tremble, tears beckoning the corners of his eyes. He didn't like any of what the mean gremlin had just said, nor did he like the creepy atmosphere of the castle. The boy wanted his mommy and daddy to hurry up and save him already. He wanted to go home. His fists clenched as a small bit of frustration grew within his chest.

The evil gremlin's eyes widened slightly as he felt the tremble of power coming from the small boy. "A-amazing! I knew the brat had to have some power laying within but to think it would feel this immeasurable! I have to put him under my control quickly or else he might ruin everything!"

Fami lazily rested on the roof of Kame House as her sister and brother-in-law were inside discussing matters with the rest of the gaggle. She chewed on a lollipop and thought about her little nephew who was in trouble right now. Fami thought about the pros and cons of stepping in to assist her brother and sister.

"So, they're after the Dragon Balls? That makes sense but why would they want Gohan?" Bulma asked. She, Krillin, the Sons, and Roshi were overlooking the Dragon Radar, tracking the moving yellow dots moving about the map.

"They specifically mentioned that he was my son and that they were ordered to grab him alongside the Dragon Balls. Whoever their leader is knew enough about me to figure out that I had a child. They want Gohan for whatever dormant powers lay within him." Makima answered. She gripped the sleeve of her trench coat, clearly worried for Gohan's safety. She felt a strong hand grab her own and relaxed under her husband's touch.

Roshi pointed at the five circles grouped together. "Seems like they've already gathered five of the Dragon Balls, which would mean that's where Gohan has to be."

"To the south, huh?" Krillin muttered.

"Near the Crimson Sea." Bulma said.

Goku grabbed the Dragon Radar. "I'll be taking the radar, Bulma! I swear we'll bring it back after we rescue Gohan!"

"Okay!" Bulma nodded her head.

"Makima, let's go!" Goku nodded to his wife. She stood to her feet, following him out of the small house.

"Wait, Goku! Whoever these guys are, they managed to overpower Makima! Be on your guard!" Roshi called out to his student.

Makima looked back as Goku called for Nimbus. "They simply caught me off guard last time. This time, they'll be the ones on the back foot."

Fami lazily looked over to see her brother and sister take off into the skies to find Gohan. She finished off her lollipop and jumped off the roof of the house. The others hurried outside the house to stare at the fleeting blip in the sky.

"Aren't you going to go help them?" Bulma asked.

Fami shrugged. "Maybe. But I'm sure they can handle it."

Krillin fidgeted in his spot. "Still…these guys might be really dangerous, especially if they're gathering the Dragon Balls. Goku and Makima might need backup."

"Then hurry after them!" Roshi yelled at the bald monk.

"E-eh?!" Krillin flinched.

"You want to help them?! Get movin'!" Roshi yelled.

Bulma popped a capsule, allowing her flier jet to softly touch the sandy surface. "You can use my jet to follow after them, but you better bring it back in one piece, Krillin!"

Clearly fearing her wrath, the bald monk nodded his head. "R-right! I'll bring it back safe and sound, Bulma!" He hurried into the jet, thankful that he learned how to fly one of these things recently. Krillin activated the engine and took off towards the Crimson Sea to assist his best friend.

Bulma frowned softly. "Hopefully, everything turns out well."

"I'm sure things'll be fine. Right, Fami-huh?" Roshi looked over to see that the Famine Devil had vanished from her previous spot. His eyes trailed towards the jet, and he smiled slightly. "Guess, she did want to help."

Fami stood on top of the jet, her actions unknown to the bald pilot. She popped another lollipop into her mouth, unbothered by the harsh wind blowing against her face.

"HOLD IT!"

"NO WAY!"

Nicky huffed loudly as he chased Gohan around the courtyard. The young hybrid hid behind a tree before the lengthy alien could catch him. Nicky growled at the recent turn of events. "Ugh! Why do I have to babysit the brat while the others get to search for the Dragon Balls?!" He reached into the tree, tore out an apple, and ate it. Until something crashed into the back of his head, making him choke on the fruit.

"You're it!" Gohan laughed. He scurried off further into the courtyard as Nicky tried to not choke to death.

"Why, you…!" Nicky growled. He chased after Gohan and scanned for the kid's energy. He noticed a small presence on top of one of the smaller towers. Nicky climbed the stairs quickly and found Gohan huddled on the floor.

"I'm thirsty…and hungry too…!" He reached under his shirt and pulled out the apple he took from the tree.

Nicky's eyes widened in horror. "W-wait! You can't eat that!"

"But you ate it!"

"NO! STOP!"

It was too late. Gohan chowed down on the entire apple, swaying from the delicious, sweet taste of the fruit. "Ah~! That was delicious!"

"Dammit, kid! Don't say I didn't warn you!" Nicky exclaimed.

"Huh?" Gohan blinked at him. Suddenly, Gohan felt his body become loose and drowsy. His mind started slipping away from him and he started stumbling around like a drunken sailor.

"Have fun, kid, this'll be your very first taste of alcohol." Nicky sighed.

Drunken hallucinations vibrated through the kid's head as he stumbled back and forth. He then took off, laughing drunkenly as he danced across the edge of the tower. Nicky panicked, fearing for his master's newest pet, and chased after the drunk Gohan. He chased the little boy all over the castle before he finally fell asleep on Garlic Jr.'s throne.

Nicky was even more exhausted than he was previously. "Damn, kid…so troublesome…!" Since the kid was asleep, he figured it was fine to just leave him there until he sobered up.

"Lord Garlic Jr.! We've found the final two!" Amba reported as she and her companions returned to the castle. They laid the final two on the same pedestal the rest of the balls had been placed. All seven started glowing due to their close proximity with each other.

Garlic Jr. smiled devilishly at the golden orbs. "Finally! Time for my wish!"

"Makima, is that it?!" Goku asked his wife. She was standing behind him on the Nimbus, using her powers to stay attached due to not having a heart as pure as his.

"Yes, darling! That's the Crimson Sea!" Makima answered.

"Alright! Hang on tight, Gohan! Here we come!" Goku pushed for the Nimbus to speed up towards the sea.

"Come forth, Shenron!"

SHINE!

The sky turned dark in response to the activation of the mystical artifacts. A bright light illuminated the darkened area, exploding with a surge of power. The mighty dragon Shenron arose from his slumber, his long body surrounded the entire castle.

Shenron stared down at his newest summoners. "NOW. SPEAK YOUR WISH. I WILL GRANT ONLY ONE."

Garlic Jr. wasted no time. "Grant me eternal life!"

"A SIMPLE WISH." His eyes glowed bright red as he granted the gremlin's wish. Garlic Jr. felt a mystical energy invade his body, clearly the effects of the wish taking form.

Garlic Jr. laughed diabolically. "Stare in awe, you miserable cretins! With this eternal life, I am now the ruler of the world! All shall be under my control, the world shall be plunged into chaos, and I will reign supreme!"

Indifferent to the nature of whoever summons him, Shenron departed from the world. "I HAVE GRANTED YOUR WISH. FAREWELL." As he disappeared back into the seven orbs, they ascended into the sky and scattered all over the globe.

Makima reached out, grabbing the Four-Star ball before it could fly past them. She vanished it back to their home, where it'll lay dormant for a year. A scowl settled upon her beautiful features as she realized they were too late. "They already got their wish!"

"Nothing we can do about that! We still have to save Gohan!" Goku responded.

"I know, darling!"

Garlic Jr. allowed his power to radiate as he basked in his new immortal body. "Now that I'm immortal there's nothing left for me to fear. I can carry out my Father's vengeance, by killing all of those humans that Kami loves so much and doing with this world as much as I want!"

His henchmen were ecstatic for his rise in power. "That's our Lord Garlic Jr.! Hail Garlic Jr.! Hail Garlic Jr.!"

"GIVE US BACK GOHAN!"

"GIVE US BACK GOHAN-huh?" The four blinked, realizing that was a completely new voice. The four and Garlic Jr. looked up to see the strongest married duo in the world land on the large balcony of the throne room.

Amba's eyes widened at the sight of Makima. "You! How are you alive?!"

"If you thought that was enough to kill me, then you're far more foolish than I thought." Makima's harsh words angered the henchmen.

Ginger's eyes shifted to the man next to her. "You must be Son Goku, right?!"

"Yeah!" Goku answered. He glared at the four with restrained anger. "You guys are the ones that hurt Makima and kidnapped Gohan!"

"Heh! And we'll kick your ass next too!" Ginger smirked.

The married couple prepared for battle until a bright light illuminated the balcony. Everyone looked up to see a golden figure descend upon them, landing next to the married couple.

"Kami?!" Garlic Jr. gasped.

"Wait, then Piccolo didn't die?!" Sansho exclaimed.

Makima furrowed her brows. "Wait a minute…you four tried to have Piccolo and Kami killed, then use the Dragon Balls?"

"Ooohhhh…." The henchmen realized their error, while Garlic Jr. refused to admit his part in that part of the plan.

"And I let these four get the best of me…" Makima was genuinely disappointed in herself.

Goku glared at his previous teacher. "Kami! You don't have to get involved in this!"

Kami smiled at his old pupil. "I'm glad to see you're the same as ever, Son Goku."

"If you're getting involved, then that would mean you have a hand in all of this mess, right Kami?" Makima inquired.

"Unfortunately." Kami responded.

Garlic Jr. pushed his cape aside dramatically. "Ah, Kami! I'm glad you could make it to the crowning of my new world!"

"You're the same as ever as well, Garlic. You've returned after 300 years. You'll do anything to accomplish your goals, just like your Father." Kami said. "As the Father, so is the son."

"What?" Garlic Jr. growled.

"Indeed. Your Father competed against me for the throne of Kami. But I was the one chosen as the successor. The previous one saw through Garlic's schemes. As a result, Garlic attempted to rebel against Kami. In the end, he had failed, and his powers were sealed away. His final words were that he'd take his revenge in 300 years." Kami finished his tale to glare at the gremlin. "To think he'd be so disillusioned to entrust his revenge to his son."

"You only have yourself to blame for this, Kami. If you hadn't taken the throne, then you wouldn't have to die by my hand." Garlic Jr. smirked.

"As enlightening as all of this has been, I couldn't give a damn about it." Makima stepped forward. "My darling and I are here for our son and him only. Whatever you two have between you can be settled amongst yourselves."

Nicky crossed his arms. "Your son is taking a little nap at the moment. Too bad for you two, you'll never see him again."

Makima pointed past Garlic Jr. and his minions. "Darling, he's through there."

"Alright! Let's go!" Goku dashed forward, quicker than the minions could've reacted. Makima released an invisible bullet into the floor, crumbling the stone beneath the minion's feet. The four, having not seen the maneuver coming, fell with the rubble. The married duo dashed past Garlic Jr., who wasn't bothered with them at the moment. Instead, he stared down his father's nemesis, prepared for their long-awaited battle.

"GOHAN!" Goku shouted for his son as they entered a large chamber with several staircases leading to different parts of the castle. He was pulled into a different direction by his wife, who was able to see exactly where Gohan was being kept. However, before they could ascend to the throne room, Nicky and Sansho stood in their way.

"If you want to climb these stairs then you're gonna have to get through us first!" Nicky challenged them.

Amba and Ginger appeared behind the duo as well. "And trust me, you two won't be going anywhere other than the afterlife!" Amba declared.

Makima clicked her tongue, already sick of them. "I don't have time for you four. My son needs me, so you'll move out of the way or die. Your choice." Their enemies made no indication of choosing the former, giving the duo no choice but to fight their way through. "Darling."

"Yeah! Back-to-back!" He pressed his back against hers, the two getting into their own stances. Garlic's henchmen released war cries, powering up to their full strength, as they dogpiled on top of the married couple. Goku and Makima blocked and evaded each swift strike thrown their way by the four, then jumped into the air for more room. The four gave chase, continuing their simultaneous assault on the duo.

Makima twisted her body around, avoiding a grab from Ginger then backhanded him away. She created a barrier to block a strike from Amba and used it to push her through the pillars across from them. She pushed herself upwards as Goku flipped underneath her to donkey kick his own opponents away. The two circled through the air, pressing their feet against one another, then pushed off towards their respective opponents.

Goku rolled across the ground, then jumped up to smash his knee into Sansho's chin. He used the thug to bounce over Nicky's punch which ended up knocking Sansho into the wall. Goku grabbed Nicky and spun him into the floor. He descended down to continue but was stopped by someone grabbing his leg. He turned back to see Sansho had grabbed him and was then swung around like a ragdoll into a statue. Goku recovered quickly and blocked the oncoming attacks with his arms, following their rapid movements. He ducked, kicking out Nicky's feet from under him, and pushing his palm against Sansho's chest. "HYAAAA!" A burst of energy blew the brute away from him.

Makima backflipped away as Ginger and Amba chased her around the chamber. She gracefully twirled around their attacks before striking them with spin kicks. The henchmen skid across the floor for a moment, then gasped when invisible barriers closed around them. As the two were trapped, Makima unleashed twin barrages of invisible bullets into the two, blowing them away through the stairs of the castle.

Ginger rushed out of the rubble to clash against the Control Devil, he hissed angrily and smashed his fist into her stomach. Makima went spiraling through the air, leaving her open for Amba to appear and kick her across the floor. The Devil's arms spread out, stopping her momentum enough to evade another dual attack from the henchmen. Makima pushed herself upwards, flipped around, and cross kicked the two to opposite sides of the chamber.

The Control Devils watched as her husband kicked his own opponents into the ground, then he flipped through the air to land right next to her. Goku glared at their downed opponents. "Where's Gohan?!"

Each one of the henchmen stood up, clearly still willing to keep fighting. Nicky and Sansho fired off blasts of energy at the two. Makima was about to intercept their attacks until two other beams collided with theirs. They all looked over to see the one responsible for the interference.

Goku smiled at the familiar bald head. "Krillin!"

Standing on top of the second level, the bald monk of the Turtle School smirked. "Yo! Goku! Makima! I'm here to help!"

The Control Devil noticed the other presence near him. "You're not alone either."

"Eh?"

CRUNCH!

Krillin flinched as crumbs lightly dropped onto his head. He whipped around to come face-to-face with Fami's breasts. His face lit up like a tomato and he stumbled backwards, falling off the second floor and falling flat on his ass. Uncaring about the embarrassment she just caused the monk, she waved at her family. "Yo."

"Fami? But that other energy didn't feel like hers…" Goku muttered.

"Why are you here?" Makima groaned.

"Save nephew." Fami reached behind her to raise her drunken nephew in the air. She had grabbed him while everyone else was distracted with the battle. Gohan giggled and burped, unaware of everything going on around him.

"GOHAN!" The parents shouted.

"OI! Don't forget that I'm here too!" Everyone turned to see Piccolo had also arrived onto the battlefield. The Namekian glared at the four who had attacked him earlier, planning to pay them back for their sins.

"Piccolo!" Goku exclaimed. "I knew that energy felt familiar!"

"Tch! Of course, you'd have to show your ugly mug here." Makima rolled her eyes.

"As if seeing you is pleasant for me either." Piccolo scoffed. "You two should count your lucky stars that I'm not here for you." He glared back at the trembling henchmen.

Fami stared unbothered at the Namekian, while Krillin was shaking in fear of Piccolo's presence. "So, you're gonna help us?" Fami asked.

"Don't count on it. As soon as these troublesome bastards are dead I'll be killing the rest of you." Piccolo promised.

"You can retreat back to whatever little hole they buried you in, because my darling and I can handle this." Makima responded.

Goku didn't trust the Namekian but he figured that having all these extra hands on deck wasn't a bad thing. "It'll be fine! Right now, we gotta take care of these guys!"

Amba hissed at the warriors and Devils, then pointed at Gohan. "Dammit! First that stupid Control is alive and now Piccolo too?! Whatever happens, don't let them escape with that kid!" She and her fellow minions charged at Fami, who looked unbothered by their assault. The four would never reach her as Goku, Makima, and Piccolo intercepted them.

"Split them up!" Makima ordered.

"Right!" Goku took out his Power Pole and used it to push Nicky and Ginger back. The two went flying out of the castle with Goku chasing after them.

"I don't take orders from you, Control!" Piccolo hissed as he kicked Sansho away from the group. The brutish minion crashed through the floor into the lower levels. Piccolo calmly followed after his prey with a predatory air coming from him.

Makima kicked Amba through the ceiling and onto a different floor. "Fami, Krillin, keep an eye on Gohan!" She ordered before chasing after her victim.

"Y-yeah!" Krillin exclaimed. He jumped back onto the second floor where Fami and Gohan were. He watched the Famine Devil gently nestle her nephew close to his chest, rocking him back to sleep. Krillin rubbed the back of his head. "S-so, I guess we weren't really needed, huh?"

Fami shrugged. "Protecting Gohan is more than enough. Let them handle the fighting."

Krillin nodded his head, silently appreciating that he didn't have to fight the minions.

"Besides, you likely would've gotten killed if you came by yourself."

"You didn't have to mention that part…"

Amba stumbled back from the stunning blow Makima dealt to her nose, blood spurting out like a waterfall. She glared at the woman before her with venomous scorn. "Y-you…bitch!"

Makima stopped in her steps, staring at her opponent. "Hm…you're a Devil, aren't you?"

Amba's eyes widened. "What?! How did you-"

"My eyes don't miss a thing. I was too focused on Gohan to care enough to notice before but now that you have my undivided attention, I can see it clear as day." Makima explained coolly.

She clicked her tongue and jumped back from the Horseman. "Good for you, Control! Yes, I am a Devil that wishes to serve Lord Garlic Jr.! I am the Shadow Devil!"

Makima didn't say anything. But she figured that was the case from her abilities used before.

"The fear that children, the elderly, or even those with mental disabilities hold for that little ghost that seems to creep up behind them, their shadow that just won't seem to leave them alone gave birth to one as powerful as I!" Amba declared.

"Pitiful." Makima sighed, shaking her head.

"What was that, bitch?!" Amba cursed.

"No, I was not referring to you. I was simply scolding myself." Makima clarified.

"For what reason?"

Makima's eyes met Amba's eliciting a dark shiver down the Devil's spine. She hadn't noticed it before, but the Control Devil's eyes looked bottomless, as if staring into them would send you into an endless depth of misery. "For allowing myself to fall victim to a weak creature such as you. You have no idea just how furious I am to have lost to you four back on my own property."

Amba felt her blood boil at the insult thrown at herself and her comrades. "Arrogant bitch! I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart! Then Lord Garlic Jr. is gonna have his merry way with your son-" Amba suddenly lost the ability to speak. The female Devil fell to her knees and gripped her own throat as blood started to fill her throat. She coughed out the messy red liquid like a terminally ill patient. When she noticed a shadow looming over her, Amba looked up to see a darkened silhouette with two bright cursed spirals bearing down on her.

"Never mention my son again." Makima's voice filled the Shadow Devil with unimaginable fear. Before she could even move, Makima's foot smashed into her sternum. Even more blood poured from her mouth as she was blasted towards the ceiling. Several chains wrapped around her body, holding her prisoner. Amba shook and cried tears relentlessly as Makima lowered her slowly back down to her level. "For the sins you've committed against my family there will be no salvation in reincarnation for you. I'll be sure to hunt down your reincarnation and torture her into a submissive little pet to do my bidding."

The chains constricted around the hysteric Shadow Devil with Makima turning away, knowing that the battle was hers. She listened with a pleased smile as the servant Devil was torn apart by her chains until there was nothing left of her. "Ah~! I won't lie, I've missed this feeling of breaking my enemies completely." She turned her attention to the direction of Kami and Garlic Jr.'s fight. Makima didn't have to worry about her darling or Piccolo, knowing those two could handle themselves. Gohan was also safe now with her sister and Krillin, which meant there was only one problem left.

Kami grunted as he was thrown into a pillar. He cursed his old body and his own inability to stop Garlic Jr. from achieving immortality. There had to be something he could do to defeat this monster before he could wreak havoc on the Earth.

Garlic Jr. savored this moment. "Nothing is left for old warriors, but to be wiped out! Let this be a lesson to you from my Father! Now to finish you off!"

Kami struggled to move but used this as his chance to grab onto Garlic Jr., who wasn't worried in the slightest. "I am still Kami over the Earth! I know the kind of misery you'd bring to the world if you are allowed to rule over it! As long as I still draw breath, I won't let you win!" He wrapped his arms around the gremlin in a tight hold. Kami started to build up dangerous levels of energy within himself.

"Foolish. You'd attempt to kill us both?" Garlic Jr. asked.

"It is the one thing I may finally be capable of doing." Kami responded.

"Fine. But just know you'll be dying in vain."

Before Kami could enact his plan, a chain wrapped around his body, yanking him away from Garlic Jr. He gasped as he was roughly slammed onto the marble floor next to Makima's feet, the Control Devil didn't even spare him a glance. "Killing yourself would be just as dumb as my husband trying to figure out algebra."

"M-Makima!" Kami gasped.

"I'll have to agree with her for once." Piccolo said as he entered the chamber, completely unharmed. "Killing us both wouldn't solve the issue. If you wish to even be half the guardian you think you are, then live and fight like the rest of us!"

Goku arrived as well after finishing off his opponents. "Makima! Piccolo!"

"Hello, darling~!" Makima waved with a smile.

Garlic Jr. turned around to face his opposition. "It would seem my henchmen were too incompetent to kill you all. It truly is a shame that I'll have to kill individuals as powerful as yourselves but you are all a threat to my new world order. Son Goku, Piccolo, and Control, I'll show you the power of the strongest being in existence! HYAAAAAAAH!"

Raw, unfiltered power radiated from the miniature immortal like a sonic wave. The three steadied themselves as Garlic Jr.'s power continued to increase with each passing second. The gremlin's body exploded with raw force, changing his form into something else. His height increased, making him taller than even Piccolo. Large bulging muscles that would make a pro wrestler jealous replaced the thin physic of his previous form. His cloak and top tore away, leaving him in his black pants and shoes.

There wasn't even a warning given to them before the monster gremlin dashed towards him. He shoulder tackled Piccolo, knocking the Namekian through the far opposite wall. His larger size did little to hamper his speed, since he vanished from the sight of the other two. Makima and Goku cried out when his elbows smashed into the heads to bash them into the stainless floor.

The Control Devil flipped up to kick at Garlic Jr., but he reacted fast enough to grab her leg and fling her through a stone pillar. The husband lunged at Garlic Jr., however his punch missed its target. He was confused for only a moment before he was grabbed by the back of his head and smashed back into the ground. Garlic Jr. kicked the Saiyan away through several more stone statues.

Piccolo dashed for him with a barrage of strikes that were faster than the naked eye. Unfortunately, his attacks weren't doing anything to the immortal monster and he was promptly bashed away like an insignificant child.

The immortal turned his attention to Kami and launched a KI blast at the exhausted guardian. Luckily, Goku was about to tackle his former teacher out of the way to avoid him getting killed. Goku placed him away from the battle. "Stay over here, Kami! We'll handle it!"

"I-I'm counting on you, Goku!" Kami exclaimed.

Makima fired a barrage of invisible bullets at Garlic Jr. to hold him back as Piccolo rushed in from behind with a raised leg for an axe-kick. The monster smiled and reached up to grab the Namekian, surprising the warrior. Junior used him as a shield to take several of Makima's bullets, forcing the woman to stop. He charged at the woman with Piccolo raised as a sledgehammer to crush her. She backflipped out of the way when Piccolo was brought down into the floor. She pushed back with an unseen force to knock the brute back but he flexed his power to break through hers.

Garlic Jr. pulled back his hand, building up a strong burst of energy to blast her away. Goku leaped in the way to protect his wife before the attack was unleashed. Goku tried to catch the energy blast but it was far too much for him to take. The explosion decimated the chamber, shaking the entire castle.

Further away from the fight, Fami was protecting herself, her nephew, and Krillin from the collapsing castle with the Shield Devil's corpse. However, she didn't expect for the explosion to grow as violent as it did. The whiplash rippled through the castle, causing her to drop her sleeping nephew into a pile of rubble as she and Krillin went flying.

Goku and Makima had been split off from the others, using this chance to gather themselves back together. "Are you okay, Makima?"

"I'm fine, darling. I just need to think of a way to stop Garlic Jr." Makima said.

"THEN YOU BETTER THINK FAST!" The dark gruff shout caught their attention. They had no chance to react as a muscular wall charged at the two of them. Piccolo, who was resting further in the dark chamber, was grabbed next. Garlic Jr. tore through his castle walls, throwing the three outside into the courtyard.

The three jumped away from Garlic Jr. to keep their distance. Their current methods weren't working, so they were going to need something else to put this guy down. Makima looked at the two men between her. "I have an idea."

"What is it?" Goku asked.

"Killing him is going to be impossible, so we need a different method to beat him. If I can get into his head, then we'll be able to stop him permanently." Makima explained. "You two just have to distract him."

"Tch! Are you certain that it'll work?" Piccolo looked skeptical.

"Do you have any better ideas?" She challenged.

"Fine." Piccolo snarled.

Goku took off his weighted clothing, standing in just his orange pants. Piccolo smirked and did the same. "To think there's an opponent other than you that'll make me get this serious."

Goku returned the look. "Piccolo, you're wearing heavy clothing too?"

"You aren't the only one who's training." Piccolo responded.

"Heh! To think we'd be fighting together like this." Goku chuckled.

"Like I said before, as soon as he's handled, you're next!" Piccolo warned him.

"Darling." Makima looked at him.

"Yeah! It's time to get serious!" Goku exclaimed.

"HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The two arch-rivals dashed towards the immortal at breakneck speeds. Garlic Jr. met them head on, colliding with the two in a fierce clash of blows that shook the ground. He was surprised to see that their speed had increased tremendously just from removing a few articles of clothing. Goku's elbow smashed into his jaw, knocking him off of his feet, and leaving him open for Piccolo to bash him into the air.

Goku jumped high enough to get above Garlic Jr., then plunged his fist into the monster's stomach. At least, he would have, if the immortal didn't vanish from his sight. He gasped lightly, then shifted his eyes to see the giant muscle man flash behind him. Goku twisted in the air to avoid the punch that would shatter a normal man's spine, then used Garlic's arm to spin around on his hands to slam the back of his heel into his jaw.

Piccolo used the bridge to jump into the fray, smashing his knee into Junior's ribs hard enough to cause spit to fly out. The arch-rivals bashed the immortal back down into the ground, then descended down to continue the beat down.

Makima watched the stunning display of teamwork with some admittance that they work great as a team. If Piccolo wasn't their enemy then maybe he'd be a good ally, but only if he submitted to her control. Pushing the thought aside for now, she prepared herself for the opening to take control.

Goku and Piccolo unleashed a fierce combo upon Garlic Jr. too fast for the brute to keep up with now. They both released a mighty roar and fired off a combined KI blast that sent Garlic Jr. barreling into the distance. "MAKIMA, NOW!"

Makima extended her presence over the defeated Garlic Jr., surrounding his mind like a blanket with sharp teeth. As she felt his soul being devoured by her own, the Control Devil allowed herself to smile victoriously. Someone like him was easier to force into submission when their mental state was weakened.

"HYAAAAAH!"

"What?!" Makima turned around to see Goku getting thrown into her, disrupting her concentration. She tumbled along with her husband as Piccolo stood over them both.

"Piccolo! What are you doing?!" Kami yelled as he arrived in the courtyard.

"Stay out of this, Kami!" Piccolo ordered.

Makima glared at the Namekian and her husband. "What are you two doing?!"

"Our truce is over! It's time that Son Goku and I settle this!" Piccolo explained.

Goku got back onto his feet, rolling his shoulders. "Alright, Piccolo, I guess that was it, huh?" He got into a stance, ready to fight.

"But I wasn't done yet!" Makima interrupted the two, gaining their attention. "He could still get up!"

Piccolo glared at her. "You said that you would have him under control!"

"And I was about to completely enslave his soul until you interrupted me!" Makima hissed at the reincarnation.

RUMBLE!

The four turned around to where Garlic Jr. was laying. The rubble and ground exploded, revealing the enraged immortal's sizzling body. "I TOLD YOU! I CAN'T DIE!" He raised his hands into the air. "HRAAAAAAAAA!"

Behind him, the sky started to distort and shatter, as if something was tearing through it. A small black hole appeared and slowly started to increase in size. It swirled around like a vortex, swallowing everything around them. The castle that stood proudly in the Crimson Sea started to crumble as the portal continued to grow more like a hungry hippo.

Makima felt Goku grab onto her and she created a shield to keep them from getting pulled into the portal. She extended a chain to grab Kami to pull him towards safety as well. She would've left Piccolo to die if Goku hadn't asked her to bring him in as well. Suddenly, a single thought passed through the parents' minds. "GOHAN!"

Krillin held onto Fami as she kept them tethered to the ground with one of her Devils. The Famine Devil looked around for her nephew, hoping that he hadn't gotten sucked into the portal. She didn't know where it led but it felt sinister and dark, far more than Hell itself. "Gohan! Where is he?!"

"Gohan!" Krillin called out for the child.

"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! FALL INTO THE DEAD ZONE!" Garlic Jr. roared as the portal continued to eat away at everything around them.

Piccolo glared at the monster. "Damn you! Eat this!" He fired off a blast at Garlic Jr., but it didn't do anything to the immortal.

"FOOL! NOTHING CAN STOP ME NOW! THE DEAD ZONE WILL SWALLOW THIS ENTIRE TIME PLANET! NOT A SINGLE RAY OF LIGHT CAN PENETRATE IT!"

Makima struggled to keep her barrier up, the force of the Dead Zone was increasing by the second. If they didn't figure something out quickly, then all of them, including her son, would be sucked into that damn abyss for all of eternity.

"WAAAAAAAAAAH!"

That crying! Goku and Makima recognized it immediately. They both turned to the direction of a trembling pile of rubble. "GOHAN!"

BOOM!

The rubble exploded, revealing the pissed off child underneath. Gohan, with tears in his eyes, glared angrily at Garlic Jr. The kid didn't know why but he could feel all of the negative energy coming from the portal. He had felt the battle between his parents and Garlic Jr., and all of the pain inflicted on them. The boy's patience at everything that had happened to him in the past two hours had finally reached its limit. He was beyond furious. Gohan's pupils were flickering between black and crimson.

"What?!" Piccolo was surprised by the kid's power.

"Gohan…?!" Goku gasped.

Makima was blown away by her child's prowess. He was standing in the midst of this chaos without any trouble, as if it wasn't even there. He was staring down a monster that they couldn't even defeat.

"That power…! This brat…he truly is far from ordinary! You're far too dangerous to keep alive!" Garlic Jr. came to a conclusion. "DIE, KID! HAAAA!" He fired off a blast of energy to kill Gohan.

"GOHAN!" His parents cried out to him.

The blast connected but the three-year-old didn't even flinch from the attack. Instead, his snarling grew far more animalistic with each passing second. Dark crimson energy swirled around his form, taking the shape of a roaring ape with demonic attributes.

Garlic Jr. felt every inch of his body shiver from the boy's power, fearing for his own life, even though he was immortal. Something, something inside of him was telling him to kill this kid before it was too late. "I WON'T LOSE! NOT TO SOME SNOT NOSED BRAT!" He forced out a far stronger burst of power to blow Gohan away.

The moment his energy even dared to touch Gohan's; the immortal knew it was over. It was as if the boy had warned him to stop, saying that if he even dared to fight back then there would be hell to pay. And like the fool he is, Garlic Jr. didn't listen to the warning.

Gohan's power exploded with a monstrous roar that tore apart everything around him. A shout that would reach the depths of Hell itself and nudge every Devil in existence. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

The force blew Garlic Jr. away, sending him flying into the Dead Zone. Just the explosion alone obliterated everything around the lad, turning the last remaining debris of Junior's castle into nothing but ash. It took everything Fami and Makima had to protect themselves and the others from getting destroyed by the power.

With its caster dumped inside, the Dead Zone closed forever. The reddish orange sky shattered like glass, revealing the bright blue sky the Earth was known for.

Krillin looked around the barren landscape that used to be Garlic Jr.'s castle. Fami was chewing on a muffin as she sat on a nearby rock. The bald monk turned to Kami. "Hey, what happened to Garlic Jr.?"

"He fell into the very Hell he himself created." Kami answered. "And due to his immortality, he'll be trapped to live there forever for the rest of eternity."

"This is why you shouldn't wish for eternal life. It's a pain." Fami lazily comments. She looks over to Makima and Goku, who were tending to a sleeping Gohan.

Makima gently held her baby in her arms, mulling over the events that had just happened. If anyone else had told her, then she likely wouldn't have believed them. But she had seen the real strength her son possesses with her very own eyes. An untapped, raw, and feral level of power rested inside him. And what they all just witnessed was only a mere glimpse of what Gohan was truly capable of. It honestly scared her but at the same time made her proud to know how strong he'll become one day.

Goku felt the same way as his wife as he thought over his son's latent abilities. He knew the boy was strong, but he didn't think he was that powerful. With the right training it wouldn't be long until the boy surpassed all of them. It made him proud just thinking about it. "Gohan…you're gonna do great things one day."

"Or kill us all. Either one works." Makima giggled.

Suddenly, the boy started twitching, his eyes slowly opening. He snapped awake once he realized that he was with his parents again. "Mommy! Daddy! You guys came to save me!"

Husband and wife blinked at each other before turning back to their son. "Gohan, do you not remember anything?"

"Mommy and Daddy are the strongest in the whole world!" The boy laughed happily.

Makima understood that he was suffering from a small form of amnesia. Whatever that burst of power was had caused a lapse in his memory, probably as a safety measure to protect him. She figured it was for the best that he didn't remember. Gohan needed to be taught at a steady pace to control the energy he held.

Everyone else realized as well that it was for the best to not tell the boy what actually happened today. When he was older? Sure. But not right now.

Goku picked up his boy, putting him on his shoulders. "I bet that was a scary experience for you, huh? Don't worry, Gohan. It's time for us to head home!"

"Yeah!" Gohan laughed happily.

Makima picked up the Power Pole and turned to her husband. "We're gonna have to repair our house first. It shouldn't take too long to recover our stuff."

"Sounds good to me! As long as we get to eat while we're doing it!" Goku laughed.

Krillin, Fami, and Kami joined the small family on their journey home, with the bald monk mourning for his own life as he thought about Bulma's clearly destroyed jet. Everyone laughed at his plight, wishing the monk the best of luck with that.

From the top of a pillar, Piccolo watched them all walk off into the distance. His eyes glued onto Gohan, making sure to take note of the boy's latent abilities. "That boy may prove a challenge unless…heh." He turned his back and took off into the distance. "We'll settle things between us one day, Son Goku."

As the Son Family flew off back towards Mt. Paozu on the Nimbus, they were discussing dinner plans as if they hadn't just experienced a death-defying battle. Regardless of what may cross their path, surely, as long as they remain together, they'll be able to tackle any issue head on.

Dead Zone End

NOTE: I hope you all enjoyed this first movie! Not much on changes since it's the first one. The further we go, the more differences I'll add here and there. I won't always add OC henchmen but if I do it's just to add an extra fight. Feel free to suggest one (They won't be fleshed out mind you and will definitely get killed before the movie is over) if you want.

Gohan's moment here got a lot of attention, huh? I wonder what'll happen when he achieves a certain...beastly form, Hm?

They would've won far earlier if Goku and Piccolo didn't try to fight each other. Oh well, boys will be boys.
