Episode 27: Forest Battle

One fine evening, Ashley, Hotaru, and Darnel were all together after school. Once more Ashley had failed to revert Loveria back to normal which frustrated her greatly, she knew her magical powers were stronger so why was she still failing to revert Loveria back to normal? She supposed she had to get more stronger. Right now there were more important things to go over with Hotaru, which was why Darnel was there. There purpose at the moment was to discuss what types of Pokemon, Hotaru had at her disposal and which ones she hadn't used yet.

"Alright Hotaru" Darnel said to her "We know that you have used, Sylveon your Fairy type form, Serperior your Grass type form, Ninetails as your Fire type form, Butterfree as your Bug and Flying type form, Suicune as your Water type form-"

"Which she used only once" Ashley pointed out interupting "Which I'm curious why."
Hotaru answered turning her Rototrix to the Pokemon forms that Darnel had already discussed so far stopping on Suicune "Don't get me wrong, Suicune's a great pick!, but she's also far more stronger than any of my current forms, so I intend to use her against opponents that require a strong Legendary Form like Suicune."

"Oh" was the response from the blond.

Darnel now continued laying out what forms Hotaru had transformed to "You've also used your Flygon form giving you Ground and Dragon, Raichu as your Electric Type, Mismagiuz as your Ghost Type form, Absol as your Dark Type form, Lucario as your Steel and Fighting form, and lastly you've used Aurous your Rock and Ice form."

Hotaru agreed with him turning her Rototrix to the remaining Pokemon forms she used to confirm "Correct."

"That just leaves your Psychic type form that we don't know much about, as well as your Poison type form, and lastly your Normal Type form" Darnel pointed out.

Hotaru once more agreed "Just three I haven't used. Mostly because I tend to use the ones I've already had like Sylveon."
"It's best to say she's your favorite form" Ashley said to her girlfriend.

"She is" Hotaru said smiling "There's something about being a Sylveon that I love. And well that's because with her I feel I can get the most of my gymnastic skills out, plus she is one out of the two forms I have that can deflect any attack or catch them. The only other form that can do that part successfully is Serperior with it's vines."

"Do you intend to use any of the forms you haven't become yet?" Ashley asked.

"Oh I'm sure there will be a situation where I'd be using them" Hotaru answered "I understand I must use them all at least once, but in the hot heated battles I've had with Cipher, I've been forced to use Sylveon lately and Flygon at least for the last two fights I've had with them."

Darnel understood the situation "Hotaru...May I point out that it's what Cipher wants you to do. They want you to use forms that you are comfortable in because they will always use that forms weaknesses against you one way or another. Perhaps next time we have a serious battle with Cipher, you should consider using one of the forms you haven't used yet if your catching my drift."

Hotaru knew where he was getting at and agreed having one in "I've already got one in mind."

She looks around wary, as this was one lesson her father Kenshin gave her nightly, and it was this, always be wary of someone spying on you especially when you were outnumbered by the enemy constantly, your enemy had ways of finding out useful information."

Hearing Hotaru's tone that she already had one in mind made both her friends curious with Ashley asking "Which do you plan to use! Tell us!"

Hotaru turned her head back to her friends smiling "I'd rather not say Ashley."

"Ah, why not?"

"Cause the enemy might be spying on us somehow" Hotaru answered her girlfriend still looking around Ashley's basement "I'm sure Queen Venomica has her subjects spying on us one way or another. If that is the case, it's best to leave out the next transformation I tend to use."

Boy was Hotaru's words right, for unknown to them Queen Venomica's subjects were spying on the three with one of them snapping his fingers "Curses, she's adapting!"

Queen Venomica was listening right behind her subject viewing him from the safety of Cipher's base of operations through a dimensional portal. He sensed her out turning "Ssshe'sss not gonna be easssy to get info on my Queen."

"It is no sssurprise there" Queen Venomica told him hating to admit it "But having an NCIS agent as a father or any parental figure is paying off on her. She's well aware of our spying attempts. Hate to sssay it but back off from ssspying on her for now. It'sss time to visit Erdosss to see what new plan he hasss and to inform him of that Hotarumon 14 intends to use a form she hasn't used before."

"Right"

Once this was done there was silence.

Intro- Latias's voice- Three years ago, my brother Latios and I made our escape from Cipher taking the Rototrix with us. For three years we had avoided being captured and turned into Shadow Pokemon as well as keeping the Rototrix safe from Cipher whom were making plans to use it for their own evil needs. Three years later, Cipher has remerged selling Shadow Pokemon to Earth in a bid to take over the universe. Luckily my brother and I managed to save a girl in need and gave her the Rototrix a device that transforms the wielder into a Pokegirl or Pokeboy of 14 different types of Pokemon. Now she has the difficult task in not defeating Cipher but purifying all of the Shadow Pokemon. Hotaru certainly has a difficult task to do but she's the only chance two worlds have and I have a feeling, Hotarumon 14 is going to stop Cipher's plans once and for all.

Turns out Erdos had just gotten back with a fresh captive teenage girl. The girl's shadow had been shot by a mysterious arrow preventing the girl from escaping. She was scared wondering what his plans were for her. He looked at the girl in disappointment as he had been using the Shadow Pokemon to haunt the forest for captives in hope to lure out Hotaru and end her life. So far his efforts were meaningless. This was the fourth girl he had ended up catching this night. Sooner or later Hotaru would notice the disappearences. Queen Venomica now appears at his side seeing the juicy girl her tongue flickered as if tasting the teenager's scent "Hunting girlsss for me Erdosss?"

Erdos turned to her "You can say that I am, I'm trying to lure Hotarumon 14 here by hautning the forest and capturing girls."

Queen Venomica took time to check out the captive's clothing "Ghost Hunting clothing hugh?"

Erdos smirked "Yep, Ardos has been sending girls on this so to make it appear the forest is haunted where in relatity we are taking captives. You can eat this one if you'd like."

Queen Venomica thought about it checking the girl out, the girl was skinny as she most likely ate very little, but she frightened now "I could eat her but a frightened teenage girl is more ussseful to usss than one that isssn't. Besssidesss I'm after Hotarumon 14's flesssh. Ssshe'sss the bigger prize."

Erdos frowned "So far my efforts to lure her here have failed. I'm counting on Ardos to send her here himself to investigate...Then just like the other girls, she too will have her shadow bound and be unable to escape."

"With the Shadow Pokemon you have around here I suppose" Venomica said.

"Indeed"

"Asss long asss ssshe doesn't beat it" Queen Venomica said.

Erdos smirked "She may beat it but once her shadow has been bound that will be our cue to surround her if you are catching my drift."

Queen Venomica indeed saw his plan "I get it, until she beatsss the Shadow Pokemon, ssshe won't be able to escape."

Erdos nodded "Indeed, to make matters more helpful, I've sent Miror B to assist in it too in anyway he can."

Erdos brought the captive teenaged girl to where the other girls had been held captive their shadows too being bound by something preventing them from getting away. All girls' eyes were widened with fear wondering if they'd be ever freed. Queen Venomica flicks her tongue out once more "Hotarumon 14 will have to sssave them."

"Once she figures this out" Erdos admitted.

"Sssoundsss good" Queen Venomica said "Although we must be well aware that Hotarumon 14 plans to ussse a transformation that she hasn't used before."

Erdos snapped to attention right away "With the only three being Psychic, Poison or the Normal Type."

"Correct."

Erdos racked his brain "Did your spies say what form she intends to use?"

"Negative. That girl is taking her father's training to heart in being aware to her sssurroundingsss"

"Rats" Erdos said snapping his fingers "But we will have to see. After all one of those three picks are weak to the Shadow Pokemon I am currently using."

Erdos locks the newest captive with the three other captives in the hidden shed, turned to six Cipher Soldiers "Guard this place in secret while trying to make it appear that it's unguarded. I don't want Hotarumon 14 saving them to be easy."

"Yes sir!" was the response.

The plan was set into motion.

Despite four of his students going missing no one suspected Ardos was the main culprit. He had indeed been listening to his brothers plan. Once more it appeared it would be one using his paranormal class to his advantage. He too wondered what type of Pokemon Hotaru intended to use against Cipher, there were only three other types left. He watches as the schoolday was soon to begin. The Principal walked into the room finding Ardos to be a plesent teacher that his students actually enjoyed one of his best hires, even principle was unaware that Ardos was a secret double agent. Still there was something that bothered him "Ardos. I'm okay with you sending your class on paranormal trips but why are you planning to send Mis Hatsumi, and her two friends Darnel and Ashley to this location, after all four students of your differnt class periods have gone missing."

"I'm aware of the situation" Ardos replied in a tone of grave concern to match the prinicple's own concern which the principle bought was an honest one "Which is why I'm sending those three to that area to investigate the disappearences. Those four I sent before was for extra credit to invesigate rumors of paranormal activity in that forest. I intend to send Mrs. Hatsumi and her friends to invesigtate not only the same case but to find out what happened to the other four missing girls. After all those three are my best students."

The principle looked at the grades of the three students in question seeing this was true, even Hotaru managed to get A's in this class while the four other students were on the verge of failing which was why they were doing the extra credit assignment "Alright."

"For all we know" Ardos explained further "Those four could still be investigating the case forgetting about their schooling. It has happened to people."

The Principle bought the tone accepting the explanation "You are onto something there, my main concern is that white armored soldiers roaming around."

Ardos agreed "If it turns out that those soldiers are involved somehow, I assure you I'll be the first to call the police on them. So far from what I have gathered on the disappearences sir, that white soldier organization hasn't been spotted in that area."

The principle nodded "Good. Then you may send those three."

The principle left not suspecting anything. Oh Ardos knew how to play anyone into making him believe he wasn't the enemy, heck not even the FBI, police or even NCIS ever expected him to be a villain in disguise. Unknown to the principle there was a glare underneath Ardos's sunglassed eyes as Ardos thought Little does he know that Cipher is involved, but only to lure Miss. Hatsumi there. Hopefully this time Erdos is victorious. Still though, what form does Miss. Hatsumi plan to use? Guess we'll have to see.

Thirty minutes later, the schoolday would begin. Once all students had went to their first period classes, had taken morning announcements, and Ardos had taken roll call, the day would begin. The moment the morning annoucements and roll call, Ardos went right to work. He looked at Ashley, Darnel and Ashley "Miss. Hatsumi, will you and you two friends come up to me?"
Ashley, Darnel and Hotaru sent worried glances, what did one of them do now? Ardos noticed their look of confusion "You three hadn't done anything wrong. Just come up here."
The three did as they were told to. Once at their teacher's desk Ardos explained "I've called you three up here as you three are the best of this class by far. I have a special assignment for you three."

This caused the three to get slightly excited but Hotaru was wary on the special assignment, especially how he worded it still she didn't suspect him to be a member of Cipher. Ardos explained "You see, four students have disappeared when I gave them an extra credit assignment to invesigtate paranormal activity in that forest area."

"Disappeared?" Ashley asked concerned "Shouldn't the police be notified?"

"You'd think that" Ardos admitted "But while some have been gone for twenty-four hours, there doesn't seem to be evidence of any fowl play. So, I need three of my best students to investigate that paranormal area or so they claim it's paranormal, and see if they can find the missing students."

Hotaru understood as did Darnel and Ashley.

"That is if you three want to go, the pricipal cleared you three to go."

"We'll go" Hotaru and her friends said.

"Just give us the map so we can find it" Ashley added on.

"Will do" Ardos said giving the three a detailed map of where the disappearences had occured.

Once given the maps, the trio head out to their lockers to see if they could solve this case. Once out of the school and safely away from ears, they start heading to the forest with all types of paranormal gear, like EVP recorders, and flashlights. They didn't take any wiring for cameras as they needed a whole van or vechicle for that one, but for this case it wasn't about finding anything paranormal but also to search fo the missing classmates. As they were getting to the forest they could indeed see it was pitch black as night which was an odd thing considering the bright sun above their heads.

"This must be the place" Darnel told the two girls.

Hotaru looked around frowning "This is strange, the sun is over head but yet it's completely dark even with the sun up above our heads. Now if this were a rainforest then I could buy this, but as far as I know the State of Virginia there are no rainforests."

"Correct" Darnel admitted.

"Then why is this forest dark?" Ashley inquired.

"One of the many questions we need answers to" Darnel said.

The trio stood looking at the forest area and checked their maps with Ashley admitting "It appears the disapperences happened in four seperate areas in this forest."

Hotaru agreed "One disappearence a night...Wonder why they disappeared."

"May I suggest we try to stick together?" Darnel said looking at the girls "Or at least close enough that we can get to each other quickly."

"That sounds like a good idea" Hotaru admitted feeling something dark and sinister coming from this forest "It's only the three of us, and with Ashley's track record of being abducted by someone. I'd rather not want to risk Ashley getting captured a fourth time."

Ashley shot her girlfriend a look at the track record comment but lets it slide. Besides Hotaru was correct. She had been kidnapped or used against Hotaru three times. Even Ashley realized she was the damsil in distress in their romantic relationship, so much that Ashley regretted being the damsil in distress. All she can remember is Hotaru coming for her rescue like how Mario always did with Princess Peach and when she thought about it more Ashley frowned all Hotaru got out of it most of the time was a beat down bloodbath by the enemy, now admittingly she came out victorious in the end but it was still a beatdown. Ashley was making a quick note that she'd probably should make out with Hotaru more in their private time or give Hotaru some sort of sexual reward in return to make it even.

The trio stood looking at the woods, then they gave each other a nod as by now each were feeling as if they were being watched but right now four of their classmates from different class periods were missing. They had to brave this feeling if they were to find their missing classmates. As they get closer Ashley asks Hotaru "Why do I have the feeling we're acting out the police's duty?"

"I know" Hotaru answered "It does feel that way, so it's not just paranormal activity but police work too. Sort of makes me once more feel like how my dad does at work sometimes when they have a case."

Little did they know that one of the missing girls was a marine's daughter and that NCIS was also on the scene investigating the disappearences of the missing girls. That was until the three reach the entrance of the forest and Hotaru spotted her father "DADDY?"
Kenshin heard his daughter as did Tony, Ziva, Mcgee, and Agent Gibbs. The four turned seeing the shocked girl. Kenshin looked at his daughter "What are you, Ashley, and Darnel doing out of school?!"
Hotaru answered "We're invesigating this forest. Mr. Ardos says that there are reports of paranormal activity and he sent me and my friends to find this out. Why are you here?"

Kenshin was about to answer when Gibbs answered "We're investigating one of the disappearences of one schoolgirl whom was the latest disappearence last night."

"Strangely" Tony said to the trio "That they all happened here."

Hotaru thought about this as this was pointing to Cipher's doing somehow. Kenshin noticed how quiet Hotaru was being and so did Gibbs. Both men knew that Hotaru might be onto something and her expression showed that she wasn't liking the situation.

"Sweetie?" Kenshin asked his daughter "What's wrong?"

Hotaru turned to her father "Have you or any of one of you seen evidence of any fowl play?"

"None that we could see" Mcgee answered "No tire tracks, no foot prints"

"Which is strange in this forest" Tony admitted "Sure there is no sand but there's gotta be some sort of evidence."

Hotaru took one look at the forest "This forest...It's not a normal one."

Gibbs understood feeling something dark about this place "So could there be something paranormal going on?"

Hotaru turned towards him "That's part of the reason why, Ashley, Darnel and I are here, but it's also to figure out where the students are. Before arriving, Ashley, Darnel and I felt something watching us which maybe a sign of the paranormal if one can consider it a sign, but if you look above our heads..."

At her words Gibbs, and the other NCIS agents looked up and saw Hotaru's point.

"Strange" Mcgee admitted "This dark forest area is acting like a rainforest but were in Virginia which has no rainforests. With the sun up like it is light should be filtering through."

Gibbs smelled a trap "This is a trap! For Hotaru."

Hotaru gave out a groan "Why is it always Cipher."

"So what's their big plan this time?" Ziva asked.

"Whatever it is" Gibbs said "We're forced to play along to find the missing girls. Now Cipher might not have known that girl they captured somehow was a marine's daughter but the fact is they do and we gotta rescue them so it appears that we must work together." he looks at Hotaru "Were you planning to split up?"

"No sir!" Hotaru responded quickly "There were only the three of us and once I saw and felt this feeling we decided not to."

Gibbs gave her a smile "Good, your not reckless as some others would be. However now that NCIS is here investigating the disappearence of that girl. Perhaps it's time we do split up."

"Is that a good idea boss?" Tony asked "If they this is a Cipher plot to harm Hotaru she'll need everyone here to protect her."

"Good point" Gibbs admitted "But in this situation, we are going to play the enemies game. We'll have to cover ground. These three students will do what they can for paranormal investigation while each of them will be partnered with one or two NCIS agents for their protection plus it will give them insight if there is actual fowl play involved."

"I see it now" Mcgee said.

"So..." Ziva stated "Who goes with whom?"

Gibbs answered turning to Kenshin "Kenshin, you and I partner with your daughter, that way if they make their move on her we at least can handle their soldiers."

Kenshin agreed checking his gun "Right you are boss."

Hotaru nodded her head "I'd be glad to investigate this with the famous Special Agent Gibbs."

Agent Gibbs gave her one of his rare smiles one that calmed Hotaru's nerves "Glad to hear it."

He then turned to Tony "DiNozzo, you partner up with Ashley and Ziva."

Tony looked at Ashley and Ziva muttering "Just what I need two girls to watch over."

He also saw his boss's point and saw Hotaru looking at him "Do make sure Ashley's safe Agent DiNozzo! She's been captured more times than not to lure me to Cipher."

This made Tony understand his boss's decision "Right, got it! With Ziva with us it's not like no one is going to sneak up on us and take her."

"Not easily or by surprise" Ziva admitted "At least not without a fight."

"Mcgee" Gibbs said turning to Mcgee "You get Darnel."

"Right boss" Mcgee said.

The eight turn to the forest. Gibbs turned "Let's split up. I want that forest searched clean. Everyone, keep your guard up we know this is somehow a Cipher plot."

Without any other words said the group head into the forest with Queen Venomica hissing madly. She turned to Erdos "You ssshould do your homework on whom you abduct next time. Sure I can handle NCIS."

Erdos snapped his fingers agreeing "What were the chances that girl we abducted last night was a marine's daughter."

Queen Venomica was having double thoughts "Perhapsss I ssshould have eaten that girl. Would've sssaved Cipher some embarrassment."

"Indeed" Erdos admitted.

Agent Gibbs, Agent Hatsumi, and Hotaru herself enter the forest. Inside it the sun's light didn't touch the ground. In fact it was pitch black. If it wasn't for the flashlight Hotaru had they wouldn't have been able to see. Hotaru kept herself on guard, sure she couldn't see anything except for what was in front of her but she kept her hand close to her Rototrix, then it occured to her "I might not be able to see clearly but I can use one of my Pokemon forms to."

Agent Gibbs liked that tone "It's probably best you turn into a Pokemon Hotaru. Perhaps go for anything that can see in the dark."

Hotaru smiled "Oh, I can do one better!"

She looked at her Rototrix thinking Oh I know I wanted to use my Psychic type but under this situation, she turned it to Lucario nodding We need Lucario!

She then slapped her Rototrix down White light filtered around Hotaru as she lost her hair, and clothes, Her head turns blue and black, gains red eyes, blue dog like ears, her torso becomes cream colored fur, blue fur on her legs with a bit of black in between the torso and legs, her arms also come blue but her hands become black as well as her feet, then lastly gains three spikes, one on her chest, and one each on each of her upper hands. When the transformation was complete, Hotaru was "Lucario!"

Thanks to the flash of white light, Gibbs, and Kenshin watch Hotaru turn into the Lucario form.

"That doesn't look like a Dark or a type that can help us" Kenshin told his daughter.

Hotaru looked at her father "As Lucario I can detect auras."

Her eyes start glowing a bit as she detected the other NCIS agents and her two friends "In fact I can see Agent DiNozzo , Miss Ziva, and Ashley going in the second entrance, I also see Agent Mcgee and Darnel entering the third area."

"Interesting" Gibbs said "So can you detect the enemy?"

"I should be able to sir!" Hotaru said "Plus in this form I can most likely see where the girls have been abducted to."

She looked around the forest as they continued down the path. Thanks to her Lucario form she's able to guide both Agent Gibbs and her father down the path as she tries to relate questions to anything around "Is there anyone around here that wants to speak? I'm Hotaru, and with me are Special Agent Gibbs and Agent Hatsumi."

Gibbs decided it was best to help Hotaru out "Hello?"

Hotaru looks around holding the EVP device close as in expecting an answer. Her Lucario eyes looked around. As they continued to go down the path, Gibbs and Kenshin look for anything that could help her. Suddenly Hotaru spotted something up ahead and she saw several auras in it. She stops briefly using her eyes to study this wierd forest seeing it clearly in the middle way deep into it right as the groups emerge.

"Nothing on our end boss" Tony reported "At least nothing just yet...Uh, where's Hotaru?"
"She's the Lucario girl " Ashley said.

"Oh" Tony said "So she transformed."

"Which amazingly works well" Kenshin said to Tony "She's able to detect ones auras."

"Great!" Tony said "So that means no one can sneak up on us at least not easily. I must admit I'm slightly jealous of what Hotaru choose to transform into."

"So why are we stopping?" Ziva asked.

Hotaru held up her hand "I'm seeing a small shek further down the forest here."

"Anyone inside it?" Tony asked using Ashley's flashlight to try to see the shek.

"I see four neutral auras" Hotaru confessed "Plus I see six others guarding it in what they think is secret."

"That has to be the missing girls" Mcgee said.

Thanks to her aura sensing Hotaru now detected something else. Something else fast that was coming from the back, She reaches forward forming a bone staff and swung backwards, just as an owl like creature was coming from the back. THUD! The sound of the bone hitting the creature in the head sounded gaining everyone's attention. They all watched as whatever Hotaru had hit came crashing onto the ground. When the dust ended they all saw what had tried to attack her. It was somesort of Owl creature.

"What the heck is that?" Tony asked never seeing an owl that big and in his opinion he swore it was somehow wearing a hood like substance "An owl version of Robin Hood?"

Hotaru shrugged but the Rototrix answer "DECIDUEYE; The Arrow Quill Pokemon, the final form of Drartrix, a Grass and Ghost type, this Pokemon has unqiue ghostly arrows that bind anyone to their shadows and preventing them from escaping.

"Shadow Pokemon" Tony said frowning.

Hotaru watches as the Decideye breaks free leaping backwards. It takes aim at them with an odd bow. Hotaru saw a ghostly arrow get attatched to it as the owl aimed it not only at her, but her shadow. Then it fired the arrow. Hotaru dodges or what she thought was dodging, instead the arrow hit her shadow binding her. Hotaru then saw other auras "Guys! Ambush coming!"

Just as she said that Queen Venomica appears hissing madly "Ssshe saw usss cccoming!"

"Isn't hard to do when I can see auras!" Hotaru said.

Queen Venomica hisses "You were sssuposssed to be usssing something different."

"I see you were spying on me somehow" Hotaru said "Not surprised but you and Cipher made it quite easy to decide to use Lucario and for that"

Hotaru formed a huge Aura Sphere and unleashed it like Goku's Kamememea wave "You brought this on yourself!"

Tony whistled seeing as Queen Venomica was flung backwards onto her back as the huge attack swept over her "Dang Agent Hatsumi, your daughter picked a good form."

Hotaru turned to Gibbs "Agent Gibbs that shek is about a few miles south, there are six Cipher guards currently guarding it in secret. We need to rescue those girls."

Gibbs agreed "Right."

Hotaru attempted to go but she found herself unable to actually get out of the immediate area "What? What gives?!"

"You were shot by that ghostly arrow" Tony admitted then they heard Venomica laugh "And that arrow cost you Hotarumon 14. That was Deicidueye's signature move, Spirit Shot. If it connects to an opponent it bindsss you to your Ssshadow preventing any essscccape! If you want to essscacccpe and sssave the cccaptivesss you have to beat the Shadow Pokemon!"

It suddenly clicked into everyone's mind with Mcgee saying what was on everyone's mind "That explains why there wasn't any trace of the kidnapped girls. Their shadows were bound and they can't escape."

Hotaru frowned "So that's what you sickos were planning"

She formed another Aura Sphere turning to the Shadow Diecidueye "If beating you is going to allow me to escape then it's time I show you what I can do!"

She turned to Gibbs "I'll handle this Agent Gibbs."

Gibbs nodded and was about to turn when the Shadow Diecidueye aimed a ghostly arrow at him intending to prevent Gibbs from escaping the area knowing if NCIS reached the girls it was game over it was best to bind them too. Hotaru saw this and unleashed her Aura Sphere, only for the move to phase right through the Pokemon "What gives? It worked on Venomica!"

Darnel sweat dropped "Hotaru...Didn't you know Fighting type moves have no affect on Ghost types?"

"NOW YOU TELL ME!" Hotaru shouts embarrassed hanging her head for making a fool out of herself in front of everyone, including her father's boss which she was embarrassed the most to make that mistake in front of.

She then saw the Shadow Deicidueye firing the arrow. No decision was neccarry, Hotaru burst into speed using Extreme Speed to intercept the arrow taking the ghostly arrow into her chest. She grunts kneeling a bit as Ashley ran towards her "Hotaru!"

"I'm fine!" Hotaru said with the arrow in her chest "As much as that arrow connected it didn't go through."

Ashley was relieved as Darnel added on "Hotaru's had worse injuries plus it'll take more than an arrow shot to take out a Lucario."

Hotaru agreed seeing Queen Venomica slithering towards them she turned to Gibbs as she talked to both the Shadow Diecideye and Queen Venomica "If I'm bound here until I beat the Shadow Pokemon, then the same goes for me, I'll fight both of you! Your fight is with me!"

She formed her bone like staff once more then whacks Queen Venomica in her head dazing her. She continued to hit her not once, not twice, not three times, but she landed all five crushing Bone Rushes onto Queen Venomica's skull with each blow dazing her more and more, then the last blow was to the jaw breaking both of Queen Venomica's fangs causing her to hiss "NOT MY VENOMOUSSS FANGSSS! Thossse take monthsss to grow baccck!

"GOOD!" Hotaru shouts "AT LEAST I WON'T BE BITTEN IN THIS ENCOUNTER!"

Queen Veomica hisses but without her fangs she wasn't able to spit out venom. Not that it would've worked on Lucario and she knew it. Hotaru formed another Aura Sphere and just as before sent out another huge Aura Sphere in form of another Kamameha Wave. The attack strikes Venomica sending her flying and out of the forest. She hisses as she even knew Hotaru won this battle against her. Hotaru now turns to the Diecideye "Your turn."

"Oh don't mind if I do!" A new voice sounded.

Hotaru turned seeing Miror B with Tony remarking "Haven't seen that man in a while."

"Go and save the captive girls!" Hotaru ordered "I got this!"

Gibbs took Hotaru's words to heart "You heard the heroine! Move it!"

Ashley and Darnel turned to join the NCIS agents but Hotaru reaches out to them "You two can stay here, we're a team ourselves right?"

Ashley and Darnel nodded "Correct."

Hotaru focused her attention seeing more Cipher Soldiers arriving to help them "Then you two can focus on dealing with the soldiers. Let NCIS rescue the hostage girls, oh I'm pretty sure Gibbs is going to capture one of their soldiers to inteerigoate."

Ashley nods "Right"

Darnel turned seeing soldiers come in. All were armed or so they were at first. Ashley presses her hands together "Time for a new spell one I call Magnetic Disarmment!"

With this she sent out a pulse like spell to the weapons the Cipher soldiers had, the pulse made the weapons magnetic and it caused the weapons to go flying out of the forest. Darnel took this time to tackle them as Ashley attacked with freezing blizzard and lightnining based spells.

While this is going on Miror B held up a Pokeball "Time for Ludicolo to Hydro Pump you Hotarumon 14."

Hotaru watches as the Ludicolo appeared and unleashed it's Hydro Pump at her. Hotaru used her bone staff to hurdle herself over the attack and come at Deicidueye whom was counting on it having set up a Swords Dance while Hotaru was busy taking out Queen Venomica. Oddly as the Shadow Diecideye started to come towards her it seemed to be gaining power and WHAM! It strikes Hotaru in mid-air dealing massive damage to her due to the Swords Dance set up. Hotaru goes down slamming hard into the ground grunting "Ouch!"

She notices the Deicidueye took some damage with Darnel saying "It must've used Bravebird! That's a Flying Type move."

"Which is neatural to me" Hotaru muttered couching up blood "So why did it do so much damage to me?"

"Swords Dance" Darnel answered "It must've set that up while you were dealing with Queen Venomica."

"Let's try that again" Miror B said "Ludicolo use."

Hotaru had enough of the man's voice and she smacked him in the face knocking him out with a single bone rush, it also knocked out a few of his teeth as fell unconsious "I know how to take out trainers" Hotaru muttered seeing the Ludicolo look confused "Ashley see if you can freeze the Ludicolo"

"Got it!" Ashley said she gathered in her magic "Freezing Forcefield!"

She gathered in ice magic then unleashed a forcefield around the Ludiculo and just as she hoped froze the Pokemon.

Hotaru now had one more opponent to deal with the Shadow Diecidueye "This is actually beocming a battle that's highly in my favor for once."

"Lucario's coming up big time" Darnel admitted "But remember, your Fighting type Moves won't work against that thing."

Hotaru shook her head yes "I won't make that mistake a second time. Besides I have more than just fighting type moves."

She gathered in all around her body then she aimed it at the Deicidueye whom was coming at her with another Brave Bird. She timed it right muttering "This is gonna cost me, but...Here it goes!"

She then fired a huge burst of Steel at the Deicidueye. It's eyes widened as the attack comes at it. BOOM! There was a big explosion as the attack hit sending it crashing onto the ground fainted. Hotaru then kneels.

"Hotaru!" Ashley called out "What did you use?"

"Steel Beam" Hotaru answered.

"Are you crazy?" Darnel asked "That move...Sure it's powerful but..."

Hotaru nods "Half of my form's HP is reduced due to so called recoil."

Hotaru felt the damage and luckily even with taking that Spirit Shot to the chest, and that Brave Bird attack, she still had enough to spare. She certainly knew when she couldn't last another hit. She moves towards the Diecideye "Shadow Pokemon...Beaten! Awaiting Purification."

"On it!" was the Rototrix's reply.

The Rotom begins purifying the Shadow Pokemon and after a few seconds it returns to the Rototrix "Shadow Pokemon Purified."

"Why did you risk that Steel Beam?" Darnel asked shocked that Hotaru would pull that attack off while so badly damaged from the Brave Bird.

Hotaru answered weakly a small smile on her face "I wanted this fight to be over with. Sure I could've hit it with Flash Cannon or Dark Pulse but I figured a Steel Beam would take it out...and look around us.

Ashley and Darnel look upward as the forest was now gone. Hotaru's Steel Beam might've beaten the Shadow Pokemon but it also was enough to destroy the entire forest. Hotaru smirked as she was counting on her Steel Beam to destroy this evil dark forest place "That's what I was hoping for. Now let's go check to see if Special Agent Gibbs got to the shed."

"Right!"

Special Agent Gibbs and his team had made their way towards the shed. Hotaru was correct, the Shed was there. No sooner had they gotten close to the shed did they notice a big flash of destructive Steel energy which annihlated the area. They paused with Tony admitting "Gee, I bet that was Hotaru's doing somehow."

Special Agent Gibbs gave out another smile as he complimented Hotaru's efforts to her father "You got one heck of a daughter Agent Hatsumi. One that will do us both proud."

The six Cipher agents whom were guarding the place in secret now make themselves visible with one asking "What the heck happened?"

The NCIS agents now pull out their guns aiming them at the Cipher soldiers each shouting "FEDERAL AGENTS!"

Seeing NCIS the Cipher Soldiers blink uneasy, no one told them NCIS was on this case too. They were supposed to deal with Hotaru and her friends if they got to this place, not NCIS. Four of their number grew a bit bold and fire some rounds. Only for Gibbs, Tony, Mcgee, and Kenshin to earn head shots. Ziva on the other hand choose to deal with the other two the only other way she knew how besides shooting. Ziva kicked one of the guards in the head easily knocking him out. Then the other whom tried to fight back unsuccessfully by punching and kicking. Bad move for Ziva ducked and waved before breaking the soldier's arm with one punch then she broke his leg causing him to buckle cringing in pain before she was able to arrest him with Gibbs arresting the other knocked out soldier. Throwing caution, still with guns drawn the five NCIS agents get to the door, Gibbs kicked the door open and the group enter finding the four girls safe and sound. Tony and Ziva make sure to free the captives bounds. Just as they were getting out, they noticed a TV in the middle which broadcasted a messege from Grindor.

"So..." Cipher's president began "You are the NCIS agents that foiled the assissination attempt on that girl."

"She's my daughter" Kenshin told the man "You aren't going to kill her not when she was down and injured like she was like that."
"I suppose anyone would be like that if it was their daughter's life on the line" the old man said,

"What do you want?" Gibbs demanded "This Erdos captured four girls and tried to use them to lure Hotaru here too, and it almost worked."

Gibbs turned hearing Hotaru and her friends arriving on the scene knowing Hotaru would want to hear this. He was right Hotaru's expression showed she was going to want to listen. She and the old man locked eyes "So...Hotarumon 14. We meet at last. Pity you are young. A young girl that needs to be exterminated."

"Not in person you coward" Hotaru challenged "And feeling's mutral!"
Grindor now spoke "You've fought gallently Hotarumon 14, even with the NCIS agents here it's clear you would've foiled our plans. You've done well, but. Our plans are only beginning, soon I'll be giving Cipher far more stronger Shadow Pokemon than today. Just know that one day you'll be facing off against me if my son Erdos fails me completely...And that I have the ultimate Shadow Pokemon one that will never be purified ever. With it your life will come to an end. Fair well for now!"

The TV shuts off, and then a countdown starts to go down. Everyone knew what this meant.

"MOVE!" Gibbs ordered.

With the freed captives the NCIS Agents, Hotaru and her two friends get out of the building just as it exploded.

"What do you suppose they mean about the Ulimate Shadow Pokemon?" Tony asked.

Hotaru shrugged but she had a feeling that whoever Cipher's President had as the Ulimate Shadow Pokemon wasn't going to be something she was going to enjoy "Not sure. But it sounds as if my battles are going to get even harder."
Gibbs turned to Ziva seeing the two Cipher soldiers "If you wouldn't mind Hotarumon 14 we could take these two into custody and question them."

Hotaru looked at the Cipher soldiers "I'd appreciate it sir, but I doubt you'll be able to get anything out of them as they are the lowest members of Cipher so it's highly unlikely they'll know."

"But" Ashley said "We know someone whom may, Loveria, but she's petrified and I've been unable to heal her."

"Loveria was a Cipher admin" Hotaru admitted "So she'd probably know something."

Gibbs turned to Hotaru "She's petrified?"

Hotaru nodded "Yes, sir. We aren't sure how it happened, but we all know that Ashley's magic isn't reversing it."

Gibbs turned to Ashley "Mind if we take Loveria? Perhaps Ducky could find something out."

Ashley made her decision "Sure, you can take her but do be gentle towards her. She risked her life to save another and was enslaved once by Venomica. So she's been through a lot."

Gibbs understood "Right. Dinozo, take Ashley to her home to get Loveria we'll see what we can do to help. Hotaru's going to need as much info as we can get."

"On it boss."

As the group departed Hotaru found herself looking at her Rototrix vowing I know I told myself I'd use another form, but Lucario came out to be the best choice today especially for the mission at hand. I'll use the other forms one day.

End of chapter

Another episode of Hotarumon 14 has come and gone. Yeah, I orginally had plans to use the Psychic type form in this episode but choose to do one more Lucario form. Turned out to be the best choice. Anyway next chapter is Chapter 28: Battlemind:An outside force captures Hotaru and her classmates in a new survival game. Hotaru must get her class out of it safely but when she has to match brains not only with Erdos but with that organization's leader to ensure the safety of her classmates and teacher Ardos's safety, she may have to expose her true idnentiy as a superhero. Yep this upcoming chapter is one that will lead up to the next crossover part. And a hint to anyone that's eager to guess whose the next hero Hotaru will meet, it's the Marvel character, also think teenage years, and final hint, was on Nicktoons. Also yes, Steel Beam is an actual Pokemon move from Sword/Shield the expansion pass Isle of Armor.
