Chapter 28: The Controller

The next morning, Hotaru was walking alongside her two friends Ashley and Darnel. Loveria had been out of Ashley's house and was currently in NCIS headquarters with the hopes that Ducky, the kind medical coordiner would have hopes in discovering what he could do to help with the girl being pretfrified. Ashley was a bit relieved to have someone else working on reversing the petrification, but even she doubted that Ducky would be able to. As they were walking Hotaru recalled to herself on what Agent Gibbs gave her before they departed with Hotaru and her friends going back to school and NCIS heading back to their headquarters "Mrs. Hatsumi, be wary, someone maybe trying to lure you into traps, and that someone might be Ardos. I don't have evidence to back up the claim as he has no criminal record or has been seen to do anything but teach, but my gut is telling me something is happening and it involves him in someway."

Ashley noticed how silent Hotaru was being "Something the matter Hotaru?"

Hotaru shook her head free "It's what Special Agent Gibbs warned me the other day before departing. Something that he believes Mr. Ardos to be the one sending me into traps."

"That's odd" Ashley admitted putting a hand underneath her chin "Did he have evidence to back up that claim?"

"He may not have" Hotaru answered "But, if there's one thing father has always complimented about his boss, it's this, whenever Gibbs has a gut feeling that's telling him something is not right, or who the culprit is, he's usually right."

"...Could he actually be in league with Cipher?" Ashley inquired "If so, how exactly?"

Darnel shrugged "It's one of Special Agent Gibb's gut feelings he has. Hotaru is right that Gibb's gut feeling is never wrong. However even without proper evidence neither NCIS or ourselves can pinpoint to any wrong doing. What we can do...Is try to go undercover and try to find out that way."

"Hard to do in a school setting" Hotaru admitted "It's something we could try after school...You know after school activities."

"Which will make it harder for us to combat Cipher if we focus on discovering the truth" Ashley points out.

"If he is though" Hotaru warned her girlfriend "Then that means we have a double agent in our schools whom can and will sell me out to the enemy at any time. Sometimes Ashley we have to make that sacfirce and truly invesigate leads. Gibbs was kind enough to give me that tip so we have to do whatever it takes to invesigate Ardos in secret cause again, Gibb's gut is never wrong."

"Do you have a plan?" Ashley inquired.

Hotaru looks at her two friends "Only if you two are on board to help. I might not be able to do this alone."

"We're with you till the end" Darnel promised her "Cause I agree with you Hotaru. If Special Agent Gibbs gave us that warning about Ardos, we need to act. If he is playing a double agent than sooner or later he'll come for Hotaru himself and while we are trying to figure things out he maybe the one that kills her because we failed to watch our backs on when Gibbs gave us that warning."

Ashley agreed "Sure we'll invesigate Mr. Ardos. By the way Hotaru...Why are we walking to school instead of taking the bus?"

Hotaru smiled "So I could talk to you two about investigating Mr. Ardos. Don't want our conversaion to be overheard by other kids on the bus now."

Darnel agreed "If they overheard us they could unknowingly to us warn Ardos about our investigation and we'd certainly have a hard time discovering evidence."

"True but at this rate we'd probably be late for school!" Ashley said, then she caught sight of Hotaru eyeing the branches and pailed "Oh-no Hotaru you aren't going to go branch swinging with Serperior are you?"

Hotaru smirked at her girlfriend "It would be faster. Serperior's vines can reach pretty far and we could use that mommentum to get there faster than walking."

"But Hotaru, I hate heights!" Ashley protested "especially when it comes to swinging!"

Hotaru wouldn't hear it activating her Rototrix as Ashley continued to protest turning to Darnel "STOP HER PLEASE!"

Normally Darnel would've stopped Hotaru but he saw Hotaru had another plan "Serperior is a snake though Ashley."

"A Grass snake maybe!" Ashley told him "But what's your point?"

Darnel answered "Like Venomica perhaps Hotaru can trace Ardos's scent with her tongue while swinging branch from branch. That way we can detect where he's driving from-"

"Or walking" Hotaru interuptted him.

"O-O-Oh!" Ashley blushed "So there's no way to not convince you to not transform and do branch swinging?"

"Nope!" Hotaru said then she turned her Rototrix to Serperior, looked around to make sure no one else was around then slapped it down a white flash erupted around Hotaru's body as it became briefly naked and her transformation started with her eyes turning into red eyes, face and throat become white, she gains a dark green leaf like vest over her chest and the entire back area is also covered with dark green serpent like, the right side of her chest and lower body become light green, her feet and legs are also dark green but her hands and arms are light green. She's also able to change her legs and feet into snake like coils which are dark green with yellow curves around it as well as some behind her head. When the light show ended Hotaru was "Serperior!"

For this purpose Hotaru choose for her legs to become the snake's coils. She looks at her friends flicking out her tongue "Grab onto me you two!"

Darnel did so by leaping onto Hotaru's back and holding onto Hotaru's shoulders, not too hard to hurt her but not too soft ether, a good solid grip. Ashley hestiated at first but she walked to Hotaru's front and climbed into Hotaru's chest and held tight then explained herself while looking at Hotaru "If I don't look down, I won't know I'm in the air...Plus I'm in a skirt...Don't want to flash anyone that maybe walking down below our path...So you don't mind if I do this right?"

Hotaru was blushing red feeling Ashley's body press against hers spefically Ashley's breasts press onto hers "Well sure, if that'll make you feel better Ashley. Just no screaming this time, don't want Mr. Ardos to know we are onto him."

Ashley held onto Hotaru silently while Hotaru checked around her, immeidately she brought up two vines reached the trees and started swinging from tree branch to tree branch every now and then Hotaru proceeded to use her snake like tongue to detect scent from Ardos. As this was happening niether Ashley, Darnel or Hotaru didn't see a dark van that was at the school already.

Intro- Latias's voice- Three years ago, my brother Latios and I made our escape from Cipher taking the Rototrix with us. For three years we had avoided being captured and turned into Shadow Pokemon as well as keeping the Rototrix safe from Cipher whom were making plans to use it for their own evil needs. Three years later, Cipher has remerged selling Shadow Pokemon to Earth in a bid to take over the universe. Luckily my brother and I managed to save a girl in need and gave her the Rototrix a device that transforms the wielder into a Pokegirl or Pokeboy of 14 different types of Pokemon. Now she has the difficult task in not defeating Cipher but purifying all of the Shadow Pokemon. Hotaru certainly has a difficult task to do but she's the only chance two worlds have and I have a feeling, Hotarumon 14 is going to stop Cipher's plans once and for all.

Ardos was already at the school having a short commute to get there. Just like all days for only the first thing in the morning Ardos was assigned hall monitor meaning he was in charge of making sure all students go to their homerooms. He had grown a bit angry at Erdos's second failed attempt that he had helped to send Hotaru to her death. Too make matters worse he also had a gut feeling that Special Agent Gibbs was onto him and had warned Hotaru to watch her back more often. Still he wasn't going to allow Hotaru to discover him just yet, not easily. Out of the corner of his eye his Alakazam had returned with a warning that Hotaru was indeed planning to uncover his plans. He checked the time as Hotaru hadn't arrived yet nor had Ashley and Darnel. He usually saw them first thing in the morning, then again they usually took their school bus. He frowned as Gibbs's words would make it harder for him to keep sending Hotaru and her friends on wild goose chases that he hoped would lead her to her death one day. In fact he knew it would encourage Hotaru more to invesigate him more. He called back Alakazam. He also saw Hotaru approaching from the forest area her snake tonuge flicking knowing it was only a matter of time before she confirmed Gibb's words.

Hotaru and her two friends were close to entering the school on time with Hotaru back to normal now, luckily for them they weren't in the builidng as Ardos was caught unaware as another man had entered the school from the back door which the man had secretly burst into. He seemed normal wearing a black buisnessman suit and a strange helmet on his headand he had brown hair. He had a device with him a device that would suck everyone in the room into virtual reality where he planned to keep everyone in a gaming senario. This man was the Controller a member of the criminal organization AIM. Ever sense a certain boy had stopped his plans early on, he wanted revenge and what revenge would be complete if he did this to an unaware school in Manassas as a test subject before moving onto that boy's own school in New York City.

Neither Ardos or even his brother Erdos knew about A.I.M so even Ardos was in for a surprise as his students when Hotaru, and the rest of the students arrived to their lockers. The man smirked as Ardos turned towards him seeing no visitor tag. Hotaru wasn't yet but she was getting closer towards it in fact she and her two friends had arrived at the last forest section with her two friends getting off her and Hotaru changing back to normal outside of any eyes that might've been watching her. Ardos had to step up for the school as this man was an intruder and he realized not working for Cipher. There was only one criminal organization that should be around here and he was determined to at least save the school in order to stop Hotaru from suspecting him even when she wasn't in the school just yet "Stop right there!"

The man turned seeing Ardos coming at him as Ardos spoke to him in a warning tone "You don't have a visitor's nametag on. That means you are in intruder, can't have you in the school, now be gone!"

The other man just smiled wickedly "Such dedication to your students Ardos."

Ardos raised an eyebrawl underneath his sunglasses how did this man know his name? They had never met "How do you know my name?!"

The man smirked "A.I,M studies everything in other states. Not that we care what you are doing. However you are in the way"

He brings out the device and activates it just as Ashley, Darnel and Hotaru entered the building's door far away from what the device was going to do next. There was a flash of white light as it engulfed the entire school up to where the front door was. Luckily, Ashley, Darnel and Hotaru saw the light coming and just in the nick of time dived out of the school. Just in time as the white light missed their feet by inches.

"What was that?!" Darnel asked outside.

Hotaru wasn't sure "Got me, but I could tell it was something evil."

Ashley peaked inside the school seeing something wrong "Hotaru...You should come and see this."

Hotaru raced back up and looked inside seeing no one was inside "What in the world?"

Darnel peeked inside too "Where is everyone?!"

Then there were screams coming from deeper inside the building. Instead of running, Hotaru reaches for her Rototrix keeping it close she raced inside. She turns it to a Pokemon and slapped it down. A white flash erupted from around Hotaru's body turning her briefly naked as she transformed for the second time this day her skin turns purple, she grows huge Butterfree wings from her back, and Butterfree antenna, as well as red butterfree compound eyes, blue feet and blue hands and when her transformation was complete Hotaru was "Butterfree!"

With her butterfly wings rapidly flapping in the air, she flew in the school with Ashley and Darnel in hot pursuit. The man that had activated the device was the only man in the room as he held the device up. He smirked evilly "It worked like a charm! I've captured everyone presently in this school and with a few adjustments I'll be able to control everyone inside it once they come out. If this plan succeeds I'll be able to control other people and get revenge on Stark"

He was unaware that Hotaru had arrived on the scene and was the one out of three to avoid the flash of light. She clung to the ceiling looking at him as Ashley and Darnel caught up to her. They were about to ask Hotaru what was wrong as they could tell Hotaru was acting catious. Hotaru raised one of her hand as a way to silence them. Then with the other hand she pointed out and silently whispered "Take a look but don't talk."

Ashley and Darnel did take a look seeing the man holding the device. Hotaru didn't exactly hear this man's words but she knew that device was responsible for that wierd flash of light. She also sensed this man's hatred towards someone and that he used this device on her schoolmates including as she looked around her teacher Ardos whom was also missing. Spreading her wings Hotaru charges downward and tackled the man in his head. In the collision she knocked off his helmet sending it flying, then he goes flying slamming onto his back grunting as he attempted to get back up despite his aching head "Who goes there?!"

"Guess!" Hotaru warned sticking to the ceiling like Spiderman would've using her two feet.

"Ah the Butterfly girl" the man sneered "The local heroine, one of many."

He gets back up but notices his device he was holding was now still in the air. Hotaru lashed out a string shot to bring the device towards herself "Not sure what you are doing here Mr, but you captured this entire school in this device somehow and as the local heroine, I intend to stop you and figure out what you did that did that crazy light show that almost got me and my two friends as well."

"I think not" The man said "For I'm known as the Controller and that device belongs to my employer!"

"Cipher?!" Hotaru inquired.

The man smirked seeing a shadow coming behind her "Oh I don't work for Cipher, I work for someone else...Besides I'm not the only one here."

Hotaru was confused that was until her compound red butterfly eyes caught sight of someone coming from behind her. This being was floating on somesort of flattened platform, was decked in black armor and held two electrical whips. Hotaru gulps seeing the electrical whips as she managed to avoid the two whips as he sent them towards her weaving in and out of the whip's path "Oh dear...Those look dangerous."

The Controller now gave out the order "Make her drop that device, so I can take it somewhere in the school and use it later on!"

The other figure answered swiftly "It shall be done Controller." he turned towards Hotaru "You don't know the danger you are in when you are fighting A.I.M, too bad for I Whiplash will end your life Butterfly girl."

Hotaru watched him "That's to be seen."

"It is!" Whiplash warned her "Now drop the Controller's experimental device and you won't get hurt."

"Wasn't born yesterday!" Hotaru shot at him "Come at me!"

"With pleasure!"

Hotaru turned to engage Whiplash, sure Whiplash wasn't a Shadow Pokemon, but she wasn't going to let her class suffer. She already formated a plan. Whiplash lashes out his whip at her. Once more she swerved in and out of his whips charging him. He reached down and hurls metalic cards which Hotaru knew would explode on her. She countered this with Double Team creating clones of herself. This worked like Hotaru expected it to work. Instead of Whiplash hitting her his electrical whips and bombs hit her clones dealing no real damage to the real Hotaru. Hotaru was with Ashley and Darnel whipering to them "I don't know what that man the Controller did, but here's the device."

She hands Darnel and Ashley the device in secret with Ashley worried for her "Hotaru, you're dealing with actual criminals!"

Darnel admitted "She's right! The Controller works for the evil company A.I.M! Whiplash supposingly works for the Mafia but I guess he's lending his services to A.I.M."

"Don't worry about me you two. Get out of the school or some place where teh Controller won't find you and figure out what that device has! I'll deal with Whiplash!"

"Right!" Darnel said.

"Be careful Hotaru" Ashley said.

"I will" Hotaru promised kissing Ashley to comfort her "Now you and Darnel need to find a safe classroom and try to discover what this device is and what it's purporse is!"

Ashley nods as she and Darnel broke up to get away but not before Darnel gave Hotaru a fake of the same device she gave her friends. Hotaru smirked as she understood what this meant for if she dropped the fake one or if Whiplash recovered the fake, she and her friends had the real one. While Whiplash dealt with all of Hotaru's clones.

"Clever girl" the Controller admitted "To create so many clones."

Whiplash agreed "Where did the real one go?"

"Right here!" Hotaru said as she tackled Whiplash from behind.

Whiplash goes flying right into the Controller but stops before colliding with him turning towards her "So there you were."

Hotaru looked at both the Controller and Whiplash getting ready to fight them "You two aren't my normal foes I face, but you two are causing trouble down here, and I intend to stop you. I don't have any idea what your plan is but consider it busted!"

"It'll be our pleasrure!" the Controller said then he ordered Whiplash "Whiplash...Recover that box and make sure you ether break her or kill her!"

"Will do" Whiplash said.

Hotaru watches Whiplash carefully and insulted him "I have you know I've taken on plenty of Shadow Pokemon, and even dealt with a Naga Succubus Queen from time-to-time, you Controller and you Whiplash compared to both aren't intimidating."

Whiplash smirked "No? Well how about I invite a couple of my allies."

At his words two more men appeared. One was thin that seemed to have the ability to fly and the other seemed to be bulky with an odd crysal in the middle of his head. Whiplash taunted her "Meet Killer Strike and Unicorn, my Mafia buddies. Now do we look intimidating?"

Hotaru remained calm as she answered them fearlessly "Compared to Queen Venomica and what appears to be an infinete of Shadow Pokemon that I face everyday...You don't look intimidating."

The Controller lost it "I changed my mine fellas! Kill her for mocking both A.I.M and the Mafia!"

The three criminals prepared to charge her with Hotaru holding her ground calmly watching them. Sure she was surrounded by criminals which even she knew would kill her given the chance, but she had a feeling she could deal with these three. Sure it would be tricky but as she had explained, these three weren't comparable to a Shadow Pokemon. She braces herself as prepares herself to fight them "Oh yes, take the Controller's advice to kill me. I'm not afraid of you. Besides" Hotaru said with a bit of laughter in between her speech "I need the practice in dealing with criminals sensing I deal with Cipher normally, so taking on three Mafia villians isn't going to be so bad."

"Insulting us furhter hugh Butterfly girl?" the Controller demanded "We'll make you eat those words."

Hotaru kept her cool ready to fight "Then what's keeping Sir Whipping Boy? Sir Thinalot, and sir uni-eye? Come at me!"

At hearing the nicknames she came up with Killer Strike, Unicorn and Whiplash advanced circling her on all sides with Unicorn growling "You got some nerve to mock us like that Butterfly Girl. Nerves that'll help us kill you!"

With that the three criminals charged her on all sides.

Hotaru may have been surrounded by the villians, but she wasn't scared, not one bit. Honestly she looked forward to fighting normal crime like a normal super-hero would so this was going to give her practice. She was certain that these three no four counting the Controller would be a bit easier than dealing with a Shadow Pokemon and Queen Venomica. Killer Strike made the first move coming at Hotaru's back thinking she didn't see him. Sadly for him he failed to realize that her red butterfly compound eyes made him stick out like a sore thumb. She saw him with his hands crackling with electricity. She whrils around and managed to give him a kick to his chest. He gasps for breathe surprised "She saw me coming from her back?"

"You idiot!" the Controller shouted "She's a Butterfly! Her Compound Eyes give her a bit more insight to what is going on around her.

Hotaru then focused flying rapidly around him with several laps. Each lap she went faster and faster, beating her wings quickly too, until she was so fast that she created a tornado inside the school that engulfed him immediately. The winds were so fierce that it drew Unicorn and Whiplash into it. Hotaru then used the tornado she summoned due to using her Gust attack to hurl the three out of the school. She turned towards the Controller "That'll keep them spooked and busy for a while!"

She came at him and prepared to give him a punch when one of Whiplash's whips caught her in the shoulder. She felt the electricity shocking her and the whip striking her. She gave out a gasp of surprise as Whiplash then slammed her head first against a wall. Then as she was recovered his second whip strikes her holding her up and pinned her wings as his whips shocked her causing her to scream in pain. Whiplash now returned holding her silently as Killer Strike came at the pinned girl and placed his hands onto her chest electrocuting her she gave out more screams of pain. Then Whiplash sent her towards the ground head first throwing her towards it. She slams into the ground recovering from the electric shock. Then Unicorn grabbed her head smirking and was trying to tear her head off to end the fight "I wasn't able to claim Iron Man's head and use it as a doorstop, but I maybe able to do that to yours."

She looks at him fearlessly but he taunts her while still trying to tear her head off "NOT! I learned my lesson when I tried this with Iron Man!"

His jewel on his forehead glows and blasts her with a red beam sending her crashing onto the ground. She was dazed recovering as the trio come at her. Sure these attacks hurt, specifically the shocking attacks, as a Flying type Butterfree didn't appriciate taking electric attacks as Hotaru muttered to herself "Should've used Flygon Hotaru...Those whips and electric attacks wouldn't hurt you as much, however I still know I can fight them off."

"Had enough?" the Controller asked her in a taunting tone.

Hotaru looked at him "I don't know the meaning of the word give up!"

The Controller smirked holding up the device she had dropped from being shocked by Killer Strike "Now to use this and show you what this device was supposed to do. Now watch Butterfly girl that I turn your entire school against you!"

He presses the button but nothing happened "What?!"

Even Killer Strike, Unicorn and Whiplash were confused but only for a little while. Then the Controller frowned "This one's a fake?"

Hotaru grinned "Oh yes, that's a fake."

The Controller glared at her "Then where's the real one?"

"Like I'm gonna tell you" Hotaru taunted.

The Controller growls out "Killer Strike! Shock the answer out of her! Whiplash, choke the answer out and Unicorn...Blast the answer out of her!"

The three Mafia villains charged Hotaru once more. Hotaru spreads her wings "Alright, I've had enough of this! You three aleady had your fun! As you can see it wasn't enough!"

The three mafia villains close in on her and just as they got close to her Hotaru used Double Team once more. The three villains run into the clones allowing Hotaru to fly out of harms way watching the chaos unfold.

"Killer Strike!" The Controller shouted "You got her right behind you! Whiplash use your whips to deal with them. Unicorn...Don't use up your beams on her your wasting time on the fakes!"

Hotaru watches as Whiplash was the smartest one out of them using his whips to destroy her clones, but she used this time to set up a few Quiver Dances so that she would be stronger in both of her attack and special attack stats as well as be faster. Just as Whiplash was done destroying the last clone she tackled Whiplash in the head. He goes down smashing into the ground gasping "She's stronger than before? How?!"

Killer Strike flew to grab her again but she grabbed his hands with her own crushing them and stopping his flying abilities "Oh wow! I'm sure you heard this but that's a serious design flaw."

She then gave Killer Strike a punch to his face which sent him crashing into Whiplash. Unicorn raced to beat her in the back with a hand but she took to the skies then her eyes glowed picking him up as she used Psychic which caused him to panic as his arms and legs flail into the air pathtically "What gives? How is she holding me up?"

"Psychic" Hotaru answered mentally throwing him onto the other two Mafia members "Rototrix power this next move up, I want to make it huge."

"On it!"

Hotaru then gathered in her psychic energies then unleashed a huge Psybeam at the three mafia villains. The beam hits all three of them no all four of them washing over them like a giant wave.

"You're right Killer Strike" Whiplash admitted "This butterfly girl is stronger than before."

The Controller somehow had an idea "Those clones of her that she used...In that spare time she had she must've used some technique to buff herself."

"I see you're not as dumb as I once thought" Hotaru taunted the Controller and the three Mafia members.

Whiplash gets up "Regardless, I'll end it!"

He lashes out his whips at her actually managing to grab her in the neck. He smirked hearing her screams of pain as the whip electrocuted her but her screams became gasps of breathes as his whips choked her "Gotcha! Now let's see you fight through that. Finish her boys!"

Hotaru grunts in between gasps of breathes as this is what she wanted. She had a feeling that Whiplash could deflect ranged attacks if he knew it was coming at him. She wanted him to lash out his whips at her neck. She built up air in her wings then she unleashed Three Air Slashes from her wings in quick seccession. The three Air Slashes connect to Whiplash in several parts. One strikes him in the right arm specifically where the right whip was located destroying it, the second landed on the left arm where the whip was located, and the third...Went right down the middle striking Whiplash in the head and chest, thanks to Hotaru's two Quiver Dances, Whiplash was instantly killed on the spot, his brain pierced by her Air Slash despite having a helmet on and his heart was also pierced. Whiplash's chains hit the ground in usion with his body and there was a hush among Killer Strike and Unicorn seeing the death of their comrade, even the Controller gasped not expecting this. He even admitted out while Killer Strike and Unicorn were gasping in horror "You killed him!"

"Wouldn't be the first time I've killed someone by accident" Hotaru warned the Controller "I try my hardest not to but...When you're being choked by someone with electric chains. How else is it supposed to go? After all that death was due to self defense."

She then eyed Killer Strike and Unicorn whom turned towards her to attack her even when they knew this heroine had killed one of their own, then they saw her wings vibrating as she unleashed Bug Buzz. They clutched their ears in pain kneeling even as the attack harmed them. Hotaru decided to call it and come at them so that the authorities could arrest the last two she gained in a blue powder in her wings then unleashes it upon her enemies. Killer Strike and Unicorn instantly fell asleep their loud snoring echoed. The Controller gasped as Hotaru had dealt with all three Mafia members, accidentally killing Whiplash then putting the other two to sleep. Without any other weapon himself other than controller chips to control those he caught in the device which should be implimented in the captured victim's brains by now, he knew he was powerless. He tries to escape Hotaru but Hotaru wouldn't let him instead she unleashed her String Shot tying him up "NO! My beautiful plan. How could it go south so quickly?"

Hotaru now brings him towards her looking at him "When you messed with my school! That's how it went south so quickly. Now you are going to give me answers."

"Or what?" the Controller demanded.

Hotaru flew out of the school's rooftop. Turns out the school was as high as a skyscrapper holding him upside down with one hand still in the silk coccon "I'm not like Special Agent Gibbs or the Batman if he truly exsist but I can make an exception if your catching my drift."

The Controller looked down at the ground from the height as they were on top of the school's rooftop, it was a long way down which would mean certain death if she dropped him and he tried to mock her "You Butterfly Girl? I don't think you have interrigation skills so high to be feared...You wouldn't ever drop someone."

"It's called Hotarumon 14" Hotaru told the Controller in an angry tone "At least that's what Cipher and Queen Venomica call me. Anyway I've accidentally killed before, so far I count at least maybe ten. Fair warning...Don't test me."

The Controller squirmed a bit refusing to answer or to believe she'd drop him as he admitted "I'm tied in this silk coccoon of yours! It'll cussion my fall!"
"How naive are you?" Hotaru demanded sort of insulted that this man wasn't taking being dropped by her too highly "Silk is not going to cussion your fall from an extreme height, besides I haven't covered your head in it so if I drop you in the way you are now. With you going to be landing on your head...You're gonna make a mess."

The Controller tries to bluff "Yeah right! You wouldn't drop me! You said so yourself you aren't this Special Agent Gibbs or whoever this Batman is you'd never dr-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Hotaru yawned and removed her hand from his leg and the Controller began screaming as he plummted down the school top. Hotaru flew at his side looking at him with one of her compound eyes and the other one to make sure where she could land to save him from a grusome death "You were saying?"

"Okay, okay, okay! I'll talk!"

Hotaru flew underneath him and used her wings to form a small gust breeze before he would hit the ground. She held onto him "Now spill. What are you doing here when A.I.M and the Mafia are usually in New York City?"

The Controller now realized that it was a mistake to try to use Hotaru's school as his test subject especially when the local heroine of the area had clear intentions of getting answers. So he answered but muttered beginning with "I hate superheroes."

"Your fault for targetting a place where I can act and not thinking I would be able to handle three Mafia members" Hotaru told him.

He then answered "I was using that device as a test subject so when I got back to New York City I could carry out my revenge."

He glared at Hotaru "Which makes it two heroes I'll need to carry out my vegenence towards."

"Wouldn't be the first time I have villains wanting to kill me" Hotaru told him "Get in line."

The Controller looked at her with a smirk on his face "You have no idea what's going on then. A.I.M and the Mafia aren't pushovers to rub off on. Sure you may have won this battle, but rest assured, my failure to test that device is only a slight drawback. I'll get a better device for next time then bring better allied Mafia agents with me to tear you apart to take my vegence on!"

"What's in the device that makes you think that it should scare me or your other hero that foils your plans?"

The Controller smirked "Controller Chips."

WHAM! The moment she heard the answer Hotaru had heard enough punching the guy in his face knocking him out. She heard the police sirens coming closer to the school, grabbed the unconsious Controller and flew inside it. She placed him down next to Killer Strike and Unicorn so the police would find them. Then she took off away from the sights as police officers entered the school all armed knowing what they were up against. As they get there they see that the criminals had all been taken care off. Two were sleeping while tied up in silk, one was unconsious decked in silky coccoon and one lay dead.

"Looks like that Butterfly girl was here" a cop said.

"We should be thankful she was" the second cop admitted "Cause looking at whom she was dealing with, it wasn't some average criminal. No, they were criminals from Mafia and one is from A.I.M both of which are from New York City. I don't think we could've dealt with these guys."

"Maybe so" the first cop admitted "But let's get these criminals back to jail."

Hotaru flew towards the room where her friends were hiding it. She would find them in an empty science classroom which had a computer the two had been studying on figuring out what the device was. Ashley was worried for Hotaru pacing at the doorway "OH...What if that Whiplash person choked her or electrocuted her to death. We should've stayed with her to make sure she's fine."

Darnel was focusing in on the item as he turned towards Ashley "Ashley, calm down, Hotaru will be fine."

Ashley stopped briefly looking at Darnel "FINE?! HOW? She's not dealing with average criminals or Cipher soldiers! She's dealing with full fleged criminals! Criminals that will kill her given the chance!"

"Ashley" Darnel told her "Hotaru will be fine. What does she deal with normally?"

Ashley answered "Cipher, Shadow Pokemon...Queen Venomica."

At hearing Queen Venomica's name Ashley pauses and blushes red as she now saw Darnel's point "Oh...Oh!"

Darnel smiled at the blond girl "Exactly. If it were a Shadow Pokemon or Queen Venomica your fears are justified, even I'd be fearful of Hotaru's well being. Sure she's up against high level criminals but honestly...Those are beneath of what Hotaru has to deal with on a daily bases."

The door to the science room opened and Ashley turned seeing Hotaru still in Butterfree form and she hugged Hotaru passionately "Oh Hotaru!"

"I'm fine Ashley" Hotaru said accepting the hug.

She gets in and closes the door locking it even. She knew it wouldn't be long before the police got the villains to jail and look in the school for anyone that was still around. It would take a while though as the police would have to look in all classrooms. Hotaru now changes back to normal as she races to the computer "Any luck on what the device is Darnel?"

Darnel answered her as if she were his boss "While Ashley and I weren't able to fully discover what this device is, we can confirm it has all of the students and staff in this device except for the three of us. Get this it also includes Mr. Ardos! Whom we were going to investigate somehow."
"Which we are lucky to have avoided" Ashley pointed out.

Darnel continued the explanation "Ashley's correct, had we not gotten out of the building we too could've been sucked into the device."

"So it has no name" Hotaru said looking at the device and the computer Darnel was looking for information on the device on "But do you know what it is supposed to do?"

"Yes, we do Hotaru!" Darnel said "Those that it traps are looped into a never ending cyber rhelm trapped there until the wielder of the device lets them go while under the control of Controller Chips."

"Controller Chips" Hotaru muttered "Sounds like the Controller was telling the truth then."

"You know about Controller Chips?" Ashley inquired.

"Not fully" Hotaru answered "But let's just say I interriogated the Controller and he admitted he was going to let them out when the time came but when the Controller Chips were on them...Darnel what are Controller Chips?"

Darnel answered "That Hotaru, is what we can get answers too and we have them."

He typed away at the computer as if he were Mcgee or any other NCIS agent on the computer. An image of Controller disks appeared on the screen "These disks were invented by A.I.M when the Controller tricked someone to make it for them. Little did that someone know that these disks made it possible to brainwash or control people making them mindless zombies or worse have no memory of anyone they know."

Hotaru didn't like the way Darnel said the zombie word as she was still fearful of Zombies, that part of her would never change "Great...Now with the entire school in this device they have Controller Chips to control them in a zombie like state. Can we get them out?"
Ashley and Darnel shot each other a nervous look and Hotaru caught sight of them doing so as she muttered "I take it as a no."

Ashley answered now "Correct Hotaru. It's not something we can do. This device is very scientific."

"One wrong miscalculation" Darnel warned Hotaru "And we'd be dooming the class to a never ending cyber experience."

"Or worse" Ashley warned as well "Enslaved with the Controller Disks forever!"

Hotaru frowned hearing this not liking this development "Great..."

Darnel saw her looking concerned as he typed more "However there is one person that maybe able to help us."

Hotaru watches as Darnel pulled out the image of one Tony Stark and answered her "Tony Stark."

Hearing this Hotaru pauses looking at the image with Ashley explaining "Tony is a genius Hotaru, and that is going to be needed to save everyone in the school that's caught in this device we recovered from that man. He should be able to figure out a way to break everyone free."

Darnel agreed "She's right Hotaru. This device was made by a very inteligent person the Controller himself. So one needs to be equally smart or smarter than the Controller and Tony Stark here fits that bill. After all his father owns the company Stark International which makes inventions to save human lives, and Tony Stark has been known to help the company out significantly."

Hotaru crosses her arms now knowing what they had to do "Do we know where Tony Stark lives?"

"New York City!" Darnel answered immediately "Same as your cousin Jake Long."

Hotaru turned "Then there's only one thing to do you two...Pack your bags...We're going to New York Pronto!"

Here is another new chapter in Hotarumon 14. Yeah this was a prelude to set up the future chapter. Yep, I think you know where this is getting at the fourth hero one-on-one team up. It's gonna be Iron Man, specifically the Armored Adventures version reason being well because all heroes that are teaming up with Hotaru are teenagers and Tony Stark in Armored Adventures is a teenager plus...I like Armored Adventures. Next Chapter, Chapter 29: Making the Flight: After getting permission by their parents to get to New York, Ashley, Darnel and Hotaru have a plane to catch, but when Cipher gets word of the heroine's plan things don't go smoothly for Hotaru. Can Hotaru defeat Cipher while having a plane to catch? Or Will Cipher force Hotaru to readjust her plans? ' A/N for this upcoming chapter, I don't plan on introducing Iron Man just yet, but sensing A.I.M and the Mafia were introduced I had to admit who the next hero one-on-one team up is going to be. So look forward to the next chapter. For I know I will be!
