A/N: This website does not like uploads made from it's app. I would see that the chapter was made to the story but the manager wouldn't register that I had done it. If there is any problems. Let me know so I can troubleshoot and restore the chapter(s). The entire chapter gets bold after making the necessary adjustments. Sorry for the updates and pings, hopefully I fixed chapter 8.

Natsu felt sleepy all of a sudden but he managed to stay standing. However, many people began hitting the floor where they stood.

"A sleep spell?" Natsu asked.

He turn his head to see look at a cloaked individual that walked right into the guild. Natsu seeing as how everyone was put to sleep had made him get ready to unleash a spell at the man.

"Natsu! It's okay! He's Mystogan, he's a member." Makarov spoke.

Natsu stood down while Mystogan took in Natsu's presence and him still being functional. It looked like Natsu was stronger than his sleep spell. That meant, he would have to deal with Natsu seeing his eyes. However, he grabbed a job on the board that was next to the bar before he walked out the guild hall without another word. After the man left the building did everyone immediately wake up.

"This feeling was it Mystogan!?"

"That jerk!"

"That guys sleep spell hasn't lost any of its power!"

"Mystogan?" Lucy asked.

"He's a candidate to be Fairy Tail's top man."

Lucy looked to see Loke. The man sat down next to her as he began to explain Mystogan to her.

"Even so, nobody has ever seen what he looks like, when he comes to take a new job, he always puts everyone to sleep just like now. Nobody but the master knows about Mystogan." Loke explained to Lucy.

"That's not true, I know who he is and that newbie was able to stay awake." Someone from the second floor stated.

Everyone looked up to see a man leaning up against the railing as he looked down at them. Natsu narrowed his eyes at the male because he smelled dragon from the male.

"Laxus!?"

The man on the second floor looking down at everyone is known as Laxus. The man had spiky blonde color hair, a pair of orange color eyes, his right eye would have a lightning shaped scar over it. Laxus had on a pair of earphones. He wore a purple long sleeve button up t-shirt with a black color fur coat. The man wore a pair of black color pants with black color boots.

"Talk about rare, we hardly see you."

Natsu seem to step forward as he personally addressed Laxus.

"I didn't think enough actually believed in the long lost species." Natsu said.

Laxus saw Natsu sniff the air and that's when he knew what Natsu was referring too. That must have meant that Natsu is like him. There was no fooling Natsu at this point.

"It was worth dealing with all the scams and dead ends." Laxus said.

"Let's just hope you experience the more...merciful symptom." Natsu said.

Everyone was confused with the conversation between Natsu and Laxus.

"What are you two talking about?" Erza asked.

"You wouldn't believe it if we told you." Natsu answered.

Erza raised a brow.

"It doesn't concern you, red. If you could beat me, I might tell you but you're beneath me. Which means that will never happen." Laxus told her.

Erza eyebrow went from being raised to twitching in anger as a deadly aura surrounded her. Natsu figured Laxus respected power based on that statement. Laxus put his eyes back onto Natsu.

"Let me tell you this only once since you're new around here. I'm the greatest Fairy Tail wizard, not red, not that shy Mystogan but me." Laxus said.

Natsu grew a smirk. He wanted a challenge.

"Does that mean I can fight you?" Natsu asked.

Laxus cackled as he jerked a thumb to himself.

"How about you get up here and find out."

"With pleasure."

Laxus grew a smirk. He would get to see what Natsu was made of but unfortunately for him. Makarov came to break up the fight.

"Laxus stop antagonizing him. Natsu don't encourage it besides you aren't allowed on the second story." Makarov said.

That put a damper on the mood to fight for both parties.

"Learn to let us test each other out." Natsu grumbled.

"No fun just when I thought I was about to have some entertainment." Laxus said.

Later.

Natsu and Lucy were the newest members as both sat at the bar with Makarov sitting on the bar itself.

"I called you both over to tell you why you both can't go up to the second floor. The second floor has S-Class Missions those requests can end your life in a moments notice..."

Natsu tuned Makarov out because Natsu already handled S-Class Missions. He didn't need to be told about the very obvious.

"S-Class!?" Lucy yelled.

She did look green no muscles, surprised about S-Class, and Makarov continued to give the safety speech. Your life was in danger, if they wanted to take part in taking S-Class Missions freely. They would need to become S-Class Wizards within Fairy Tail.

"Only four people can take S-Class Missions. Those being Laxus, Mystogan, Erza, and Gildarts. Don't think about taking a S-Class job without my permission because you'll be expelled." Makarov explained.

Natsu gave a grunt of acknowledgement. Makarov was worried about Natsu, he tuned him out. Lucy remained more attentive as she wholeheartedly agreed.

The very next morning.

Natsu was being increasingly annoyed by the jobs on the regular board. They were so far beneath his league that he wanted to use his light magic to ignite the wood and paper. He didn't need to take weak jobs. Natsu needed an actual job that rewarded him with more strength.

'Fuck this!' Natsu thought.

Natsu made sure Makarov wasn't aware of his intentions before hopping onto the second story. He made his way over to the S-Class board. There was three missions but one of them stuck out like a sore thumb to Natsu. It was a old piece of paper. It looked like that request had been sitting within the guild for a long time. He walked over to that particular piece of paper. Natsu began reading the details.

'They want us to destroy the moon to break the curse that has afflicted the people of Galuna Island.' Natsu thought.

Laxus eyed Natsu from the table that he sat at but didn't stop Natsu as he took the S-Class request.

"Shouldn't you be following the rules?" Laxus asked.

Natsu turned around to see that Laxus had finally confronted him.

"Seeing how this request has been here for a long time. I wanting to help the client will take it, not like you or the rest of the S-Class Wizards want to do it." Natsu said.

Laxus grew a frown.

"You really want to take that job?" Laxus asked.

"I do, I may not get physically stronger but using your head is just as important." Natsu said.

There was some merit to that, it seemed like Natsu was trying to improve himself. To be stronger and Laxus could respect that, this new member may not just be all bark after all.

"Come back here alive and I might make you a member of my team." Laxus spoke.

"I'll join whatever team I want." Natsu said.

He went about his way before leaving the Guild Hall. Laxus watched as Natsu dragged Lucy right out the hall. Everyone so confused about his actions that they didn't realize that he had taken the S-Class request.

'Someone's in trouble.' Laxus thought.

"Natsu what the hell!?" Lucy asked.

Natsu had gotten her into a alleyway before releasing her. He looked at her...how did he put it in a delicate manner that didn't destroy her self confidence and without making him a big jerk. Lucy was giving him an annoyed look. That's the thing with stumbling in the dark in how to fix his communication skills.

"Ah to hell with it, look I'm...not trying to be such a jerk but...you have...noodle arms."

That sounded...silly but hey, at least it wasn't, "you're as useless as a pinecone." Lucy for her part was offended.

"If you took me out just to insult me in private than I'd rather just leave." Lucy said.

Lucy tried leaving but Natsu stopped her again. His hand on her wrist.

"Damn it, I should have lead it off better but I don't have great communication skills. I have a job that will help you get stronger and the reward is a golden spirit key. I'm trying to help you." Natsu told her.

Lucy turn to face Natsu as she snatched her wrist out of his grip.

"Lead with that next time." Lucy grumbled.

"Noted." Natsu said.

"What's the job?" Lucy asked.

It looked like Lucy was interested as he knew that would be the case. A celestial mage would always want to have another golden key. At least, he got that part right.

"A island needs help breaking a curse and they think by destroying the moon is how they'll be able to break said curse. At least from what the job told me." Natsu explained.

"Destroying the moon? How? Wouldn't that screw up the ecosystem?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, it seems like this job has been pending for so long that they think the moon is the cause of said curse." Natsu answered.

"That long?"

"Paper is barely holding together." Natsu said.

Natsu showed her the paper he took as Lucy eyed the paper. She saw how outdated it was, she was curious as to how it stayed together. Lucy looked back to Natsu while Natsu folded the paper before putting it into his pocket.

"You in?" Natsu asked.

"What difficulty is it?" Lucy asked.

"It doesn't matter, there were times C-Class Missions turned to S-Class mission because the client didn't have enough money to pay. You'll get the key and half the money, doesn't sound bad for getting some meat on those bones." Natsu commented.

Lucy's eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

"And I'll prove you wrong." Lucy spoke.

"Gonna take more than spunk, let's head out to the port." Natsu said.

The pair moved to get to their destination.

Meanwhile.

"Master, one of the requests from the second floor request board is missing!"

Makarov spit out his drink with the guild coming to a complete stop. As everyone was shocked at the action. Who did it? Why did they do that?

"Now that you mention, I saw the newbie up here earlier and he stole one of the jobs." Laxus casually mentioned.

Mirajane who had just came down from the second story floor went back up the stairs. As she looked at Laxus in shock. The man lazily sitting in the chair without a car in the world.

"Natsu took the job but why?" A guild member asked.

"I thought he wasn't so bad but now..."

"That idiot, he'll be expelled on his second day!"

Laxus didn't care about Natsu breaching the rules. He could still have Natsu work for him if Natsu came back.

"Did I forget to mention that Natsu dragged Lucy along and has kidnapped her?" Laxus asked.

"You forced Lucy to accompany him!? I'll beat him to a pulp!" A member yelled.

"That kid put on a act to fool us!"

"That's two very big rules already broken, what will you do when he finally brings her back...if they come back." Laxus said.

Makarov stayed silent.
