Meanwhile...
Scourge felt like he'd searched the Acorn Kingdom top to bottom, and despite the intel they'd gathered saying Sonic and his loser crew would be here, he hadn't seen hide nor quill of the hedgehog.
To be honest, he hadn't seen a lot of things that were supposed to be familiar. He'd spent enough time in this world to know his way around, but it was like the whole kingdom had changed. Did this place seriously get wrecked and rebuilt again?
Lame.
If Sonic was really half the hero everyone seemed to think he was, then he'd be better at not getting his home wrecked all the time.
(Not that Scourge was any better at not getting his hideouts wrecked, but hey, that was usually done on purpose.)
Whatever, he'd find his goody-two-shoes counterpart and beat him up extra hard for being so hard to find on top of being the one to put him in jail.
Scourge walked down the street where he could have sworn the Hedgehog household was supposed to be and glared daggers at each house he passed trying to find the right one. He was so caught up in looking at the residences that he wasn't watching where he was going and ended up crashing into someone and falling back on his tail.
Frustrated and just dying to beat someone to # &! and back, Scourge jumped back to his feet and snarled at the person he'd run into. "Watch it, #$%!"
But then he actually looked at who he'd run into, and it quickly registered that whoever he'd run into was big.
Very big!
With arms bigger than his entire body, and sharp teeth to boot.
The second thing he noticed was that this somebody was blue very familiar.
So familiar in fact that he'd seen a version of him in Zone prison.
No way!
There was no way that this could possibly be-
"SONIC?!" Scourge
Sonic the Werehog looked down at Scourge and blinked in surprise as it sunk in for both hedgehogs just who they were seeing.
Unfortunately for Scourge, Sonic recovered faster and snagged Scourge with one of his giant hands before the other hedgehog could recover.
"Hey, Scourge," Sonic said cheerfully but had a growling undertone that promised pain. "Long time no see. Now shouldn't you be in jail?"
Scourge could only let out a squeak from the strength of Sonic's grip.
Sonic shrugged. "Guess we better fix that."
To be fair, Scourge tried. He really tried. But his quills still hadn't recovered from their prison sheering, and Sonic had surprise on his side.
The fight didn't last long.
Soon enough, Sonic had an unconscious green hedgehog clutched in his grip, and nowhere to put him.
He quickly turned and started making his way to Tails' workshop. Knowing his little buddy, the kid would still be up and working. Maybe he could use his Genesis Wave tech to find a way to reach the No Zone and put Scourge back where he belonged. Plus, Tails might have something to help him track down Fiona, since there was no doubt she would be lurking around here somewhere.
But as he pushed the door to Tails workshop open and ducked to get inside, he was greeted by the sight of Tails standing over an already captured Fiona and just had to grin.
Even likely not knowing who she was, his little bro was smart enough to catch on and then catch her.
He was very proud.
A/N Scourge really needs to learn not to poke the bear.
