Here it is, the 167th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on schedule. Alix has found Adrien and Marinette at last and has made her offer, one that they never expected they'd receive and that is to get a level of closure that was until this very moment had been unthinkable to them and that is the chance to meet their old friends who are long dead. It's an offer that they can't refuse but is it as simple as that or are there things to deal with before then? Well let's find out as that is all the administrative stuff that I have for y'all and as there are no questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will leave this note off here. Chapter 167: Necessary Precautions

"I wouldn't go just yet if I were you."

The voice, a male one that Adrien and Marinette knew well, suddenly spoke just after Alix offering to take them to see the rest of their old friends. The sudden interruption got all their attentions and the couple leapt up to their feet and turned to it while Alix clenched her fist and shifted her body, ready to activate her Miraculous if the new arrival was a threat.

As soon as Alix saw who it was, though, she knew that he wasn't a threat because she recognized the man in a lilac shirt and jeans crouched atop one of the large units on the roof and looking down at them. He'd forgone his usual gauntlets but the knife that all in his order carried was on him as always but even without his standard weapons, they all recognized Mage right away.

"When did you get here?" Alix asked though she didn't relax even if she knew that the man wasn't a threat, and even if he was she'd stand no chance against him in a direct fight. "That's a bit creepy you know."

"Oh I just arrived but you should really keep a check on your surroundings even in a supposedly safe place like this." Mage said grinning. "The moment that I sensed a Burrow hole appear here I dispatched someone to check it out as I was certain that it wasn't the current Fluff who was behind it."

"Huh?" Alix asked but as she did there was a skittering sound on the rooftop and they all turned to see a large praying mantis with blue legs, a black body and pincers, pink underbelly, and black head appear before it grew and changed into a human that they all recognized though Alix hadn't physically met yet. "Holy shit! That's freaky to see in person and I've seen a lot in my journey."

"You get used to it." Fei said with an indifferent shrug and opted to use French as it was best to stick with a language that Alix would understand and French was the latter's native tongue. "But you're spatial awareness needs a fair bit of work. I'll let it slide because the area is technically safe and it was an emotional moment for all of you but still, we are at war right now and we're beyond the safety of U.A.'s walls."

"Fei?" Marinette asked. "You were here for all of that?"

"Most of it." Fei admitted. "Mage sensed the power of the Rabbit Miraculous had suddenly appeared here and was worried because how it appeared meant that it couldn't have been the present time Fluff so it had to be one from the past or future. The latter of which could be a major issue because if it's being used then something exceptionally bad must have happened, and if it's from the past, well…"

"The Miraculous was stolen by Hawk Moth and I was out of commission when he returned it." Mage concluded. "I was only able to appear to Fei in Shanghai because of my tie to the Prodigious, after she won there I went back to my recovery so if he used it then I would have missed it."

"Well it was returned only a few months after Marinette and Adrien vanished." Alix said couching her words so that she didn't reveal that she was aware that it had been right after Gabriel Agreste's public trip to Shanghai that her pocket watch had reappeared in her room. "If that helps."

"It does but you understand that I had to be certain so I dispatched Fei to confirm that it wasn't him." Mage said and Alix nodded at that understanding his concern as it was valid. "She saw who it was and learned that it was someone called Alix Kubdel and called it in while you were talking. I explained to her who you were, after getting an earful for not doing so before given your friendship with Marinette, and that there was no threat but to remain and call me if you made an offer to use Burrow with Adrien and Marinette because I'd have to come for that. That said, I've gotta admit, I didn't see this coming. Which of my colleagues suggested this?"

"What makes you think that it was one of your order?" Alix asked though she was aware that it was. "I could have come to the conclusion to search for them in the future on my own."

"Perhaps but I had two of the newer Guardians stationed in Paris while I was recovering as they were the best to help set in motion our plan for when you returned so they would have known that the only way to find you was to venture into the future." Mage said. "So one of them could have let something slip or planted a seed in your mind that you followed. It isn't exactly something most people would think about after all."

"It's not but I'm the Rabbit Miraculous Holder." Alix said. "I do understand time better than most."

"That may be but if I recall you never used it in the present when Marinette and Adrien were in your era." Mage said. "I don't doubt that one day you would have figured it out, I've heard plenty about you from Marinette, Ms. Kubdel, enough that that is possibly, but I know little about you personally so I don't know how long it would take. As such, I'd like to know what caused you to use the Rabbit Miraculous to track them down. I'm not mad or anything, I'm actually impressed with your dedication as with them out of the timeline it can't have been easy, just curious."

"Very well, I'll admit that it wasn't entirely my idea but rather born from an offhanded comment." Alix said. "Her name was Dolora though I don't know her element or where her number put her in terms of your ranks."

"Pain." Mage said simply. "Dolora is the Guardian of Pain and that's the highest number of any Guardian making her the most recent."

"I see, that would explain why she was a grievance counselor." Alix said. "She was considered an expert in handling emotional pain at the time that was why she was brought to Paris by the Mayor as he wanted her to help us come to terms with Adrien and Marinette's disappearances as Chloe was getting out of hand. Somehow I get the feeling that that wasn't coincidental at all."

"It was not, I knew that all of their friends would be in pain so before I had to enter a state of recovery I called her and another in though unlike the other one she couldn't come directly." Mage said. "Gotta make it look somewhat natural after all so she moved to London and set up there waiting for the call which the other Guardian present would help facilitate. It was to be expected and clearly she did a good job when she arrived."

"That she did as she was the one who suggested the recordings for them as part of our healing process, once we were ready to do so." Alix said not really surprised that the Guardians had set all this in motion as the more she learned about them and all that they did to cover up Adrien and Marinette's past the more she realized just how thorough they were. "After that she made a comment about the recordings being for the future and so we should address Adrien and Marinette as if we were addressing them in the future. This was, according to Dolora, in case they turned up and that's what got me thinking about the future."

"I see, yes to someone who understands time the way you do that would happen." Mage said thinking on it. "I'll have to confer with Dolora but I'm not entirely sure she meant it that way, you just interpreted it as such."

"Well I thought that that might be more literal than just a recording in case Marinette and Adrien returned to Paris down the line." Alix said. "But I was the only one who would thing of the actual future. The more I did, the more it made sense to me that to find them I had to travel into the future and so after talking with Fluff to confirm that it was possible and then letting the others know of my plan, I set off on my mission."

"It was quite impressive." Fei noted. "Took her 4 years of real time as Ms. Kubdel would spend a week of real time looking through all the records she could to see if they had appeared before jumping forward a year and repeating it. That takes dedication and discipline plus you'd have seen how bad the world got over that time."

"I did but that was mainly because they were blasted out of the timeline so there was no other way." Alix said. "I had to keep jumping until I was certain I was past their return and then I could find them. Admittedly I got into a routine and kinda forgot to use Burrow for more than just a path to the next year but it worked out in the end."

"I heard, fate seemed to be on your side there as you appeared shortly after Jaku so the news of that incident was still in the global news cycle." Fei said. "And Marinette did make quite a showing in it. Good thing they missed my actions; I'd rather not have the world witness my strongest form being used as an impromptu whip."

"I got lucky and when I did I returned to Burrow to go back to when the returned and watch what they'd been up to since then." Alix said looking at Fei. "So I saw you in Marinette and Adrien's timelines here as well though not your actions in the recent conflict. Given your presence right now, I take it your affiliated with the Guardians. I may have sped through it so I didn't pay attention to much regarding you."

"Fair enough, you did have a specific focus at the time." Fei said. "But you're right, I am affiliated with the Guardians. I'm Fei Wu and I'm actually from the same era as you are though I'm Chinese as you can probably tell."

"Yeah about that." Alix said. "How did that happen? Something about Shanghai I presume given what Mage just said though I naturally don't get any of that."

"That's where I'm from." Fei said. "It's a long story but the short version is that I found a power called the Prodigious that my adoptive father had been guarding and used it to defeat Hawk Moth when he came to Shanghai as a last ditch attempt to gain power for his goal after the disappearances of Ladybug and Cat Noir. During that I almost broke but Mage appeared due to his connection to the Prodigious and told me that he created it, that if I could use it then I had it in me to fully unlock it and that if I did achieve the dragon form I could keep using it to hold back chaos and that he'd return when I reached a point that it was hard for me to use it."

"Clearly he did so then." Alix noted.

"Yup though it wouldn't be for another 50 years before he did and that was after the advent." Fei said. "I navigated that situation as best I could, especially seeing as the advent occurred in China, and carried on my work as a hero there until Mage returned. When he did I was at the point where I was still able to fight but my age was making things a bit tricky so I'd have to retire soon. Instead, and as I had no family so no one would miss me, he offered me a spot in the Sub-Guardians and to make my power my Quirk, well Meta Ability as they were known at the time, if I swore fealty to them. I did and I don't regret it."

"Wait so that would make you what, 250 years old?" Alix asked and Fei nodded as that was only a few years below her actual age. "Damn, you look good for that."

"The perks of pseudo immortality." Fei said with a smile. "I can't die unless it's in battle but there are some conditions tied to my service that I won't get into. By the time I was made the offer though I'd done all that I wanted in my original life and with the chaos of the advent starting to get out of hand I saw no reason in not joining. I would go on to play a vital role in the setting up of the Francois Dupont system that we used for them when they returned to the timeline. So, when Mage needed help with a request from Marinette, he turned to me for it as I was based in Shanghai at the time and the best qualified both due to my experiences. I've become good friends with her and Adrien since then."

"I see." Alix said as she processed everything that the older girl was saying to her. "Thank you for explaining who you are and I can tell that Marinette and Adrien trust you, just a bit rattled that's all."

"Yeah, sorry about spying on your moment with them." Fei said. "But we had to make sure that it was safe and be ready in case you did what you did at the end."

"I get the spying; I am fully aware of the current situation so if you sensed an abnormality occur at this location then making sure that the heroes stationed here are safe makes sense." Alix said. "But what do you mean about the end part? This is the second time that's been mentioned and you stopped me from taking them into Burrow so why? Why can't I do that?"

"Oh you can and in fact it's a good idea as it's the only way to really give them this level of closure." Mage said. "I just want to make sure that things are done right so as to not mess up the present as well as to make preparations in case Marinette and Adrien want to introduce their old friends to their new friends. If they wish to do the latter then we need to really discuss how that will work as there are going to be certain things that can't be done and preparations I'll have to make with Fluff to ensure it."

"Huh, I didn't think of that." Alix admitted turning to Adrien and Marinette. "Is that what you want?"

"It would be nice." Marinette said as she thought on it though admittedly she'd not fully processed that yet as she was still reeling from the offer to see everyone one more time. "It would show everyone how we've succeeded despite what we went through and lived up to what they wanted for us."

"But not right away." Adrien said as he realized everything and agreed with Marinette that they should introduce their new friends to their old ones with the opportunity that Alix had just presented them. "We do need a moment with them first. I'd like to have some time with Nino to make sure that he knows I'm ok before introducing him to the new guys."

"Same for me and the girls." Marinette said. "But I would like to do that if it's possible."

"I thought so and that is one of the reasons why I felt the need to intervene as you need to plan before you set off." Mage said. "Especially because I presume that the moment that you want to use is around the time you left, right Ms. Kubdel?"

"That is when I told them to wait for me." Alix said. "They know that I'll be back in what would be a second or two of their time either with Marinette and Adrien or to get them so yeah that will be the moment that I want. That said, I'm not sure if I'll be reverted back to 20 year old me."

"You won't." Mage said and Fluff nodded as she'd said as much to Alix but that had been at the start of their journey so Alix had either forgotten it or was curious given how Fei looked to be about the same age as Alix despite being over 200 years older chronologically. "You've physically aged by spending real time in the world over your journey, that can't be reverted. Well, can't be when you're a pure human like you are now. Fei's different given her status as a Sub-Guardian."

"Very well, I was willing to make sacrifices for this so I can live with it." Alix said accepting it for a second time and it was only 4 years so it wasn't that big a deal. "But they'll all be the same as when I left in 2024 so that is likely the issue I take it. The year that is."

"That is the main one, yes." Mage confirmed. "And within that, the precise issue is Quirks."

"We can't mention them." Adrien said picking up right away. "Alix left on her mission before the advent so they wouldn't know of Quirks, right?"

"Correct and while there are super powers in your time, mainly Miraculous powers, Quirks are on a whole other level." Mage said. "So you can't mention them at all, at least not to people who are in the pre advent era. That would cause a major ripple in the timeline if someone found out about the major change about to affect humanity."

"Yeah I can see that." Adrien said as the others nodded. "But that alone won't prevent us from seeing them, will it?"

"No, meeting and interacting with your old friends is fine." Mage said. "It shouldn't change much especially as they are waiting for Alix to return with you or news about. That and it was after the recordings when I was still out of commission because of my efforts to preserve your secret identities so it won't change their present, and for all I know it happened what with the nature of time. The main thing that this will do is offer your old friends the closure they need and allow them to truly live their lives in their era just as you have done in this era."

"It will also provide us with more closure that we never expected to get." Marinette said. "It's as big for us as it will be for them."

"That it should be." Mage said with a nod. "But as I said, there will be limits to what you can discuss. This is mainly in regards to Quirks and all that though there is more."

"Like what?" Adrien asked.

"I'll leave it up to you to discuss your Miraculouses and powers, though bear in mind that your secret is preserved so it could cause issues if you reveal it, but other than that you need to be vague about certain things." Mage said. "Mainly, you shouldn't mention the name of your school as U.A. doesn't exist then. Well, really you shouldn't mention anything that you know happens in the future beyond that you're safe, at school, and have friends as any knowledge of major future events for them could have significant consequences on your present."

"Makes sense." Marinette said though she and Adrien would discuss privately about whether or not to reveal their secret as Ladybug and Cat Noir but all things considered they'd likely not divulge it just in case it did cause a noticeable ripple. "We can do that but we can mention that we are now at school in Japan, right? You mentioned that we could bring up that we're at school but not where and I'd like to tell them that much at least."

"Yes that's fine, you do need to reassure them after all though you shouldn't mention how unnaturally you learned Japanese." Mage said. "But telling them where you are, though not the year just to be safe, shouldn't be an issue. Neither is telling them that you have made new friends and are doing well. The same regarding your, er, relationship."

"Oh I wasn't going to be able to hide that either." Alix said grinning. "Everyone knew Marinette loved Adrien so they'll be thrilled to hear that they're finally together."

"Everyone?" Adrien asked.

"Yup, it wasn't hard to notice." Alix said. "Well unless you're really dense that is. I'm not sure if Chloe knew though and for as bratty and arrogant as she is, she's not dense though she can be oblivious to things that don't directly concern her wants and needs."

"She didn't at first but after the incident at the Ladybug and Cat Noir movie premier where we were both working to prevent Kagami from winning Adrien she found out, something not helped by Kagami recognizing at least Chloe as a rival and taking Adrien's arm when she saw us." Marinette admitted a little embarrassed at her actions there, as well as how she teamed up with Chloe at the time. "In hindsight, it's amusing that one of Chloe's arguments that day that got me to help her was that if we didn't do something then Kagami might move to Japan with Adrien. She was half right in the end."

"That is amusing and you've gotta tell me the full story sometime." Alix said grinning. "I can't even begin to imagine you and Chloe working together."

"Trust me, I regret it but, well, when it came to Adrien I was never really in my right mind back then, especially when dealing with a rival." Marinette said as she looked down shame in her voice but at the touch of Adrien's hand as he took hers she smiled and looked up. "As for Chloe herself, it's not a matter of density that caused her to not realize that I was a rival for Adrien's heart, she was just focused more on her hatred of me that predated me meeting Adrien and that blinded her to my feelings for Adrien."

"Man I feel like an idiot for not noticing any of this." Adrien said. "Admittedly I was in love with Ladybug so I wouldn't have noticed but still, if it was that obvious I should have seen something."

"Oh we have to discuss that later as well." Alix said still grinning. "But yeah it was obvious to the rest of us."

"I thought I hid it well." Marinette said which got an incredulous look from Alix. "I've come to realize that I didn't manage that at all."

"That would be an understatement." Alix said. "But they'll all be thrilled to hear that you're together at last. Well maybe not Chloe, and yes she's there as well but only because she might see Adrien again and unlike her we're not cruel enough to prevent that, but the others will be."

"So long as you explain it in a way that doesn't give away things like Quirks then there won't be a problem there." Mage said. "Right with that sorted out there's another thing to factor in."

"And that is?" Alix asked.

"Where will the meeting take place?" Mage asked. "Do you intend to take them to that period or to use Burrow itself?"

"Er, well, I'd actually not thought about that." Alix said a little taken aback by the question and flushing at how unprepared she was. "I was solely focused on finding Adrien and Marinette that I'd not thought that far in advance but I guess I was planning on bringing them to that moment and then returning them to this moment but I get the feeling that that might be an issue."

"Yes in part because they can't remain there due to what happened and your friends might try to do just that, it is human nature after all." Mage said. "But the magic used to blast you out of the timeline will force you back, though I'm not sure how long that will take to kick in."

"Right the fusion aspect." Marinette said. "It's why we can't remain."

"I was going to force the issue if need be actually as I did tell them before I left that whatever happened, we can't mess with the future if that's where they ended up." Alix said. "They can't stay because it would mess up this present and the others know that."

"That too, I see that the current Rabbit Miraculous holder, well past I guess, is a good one." Mage said with a smile. "So taking them into the past would be an issue, hell Burrow might not allow it though I don't know about that. However, they can enter Burrow without an issue and that allows for more advantages as well if you use it."

"There is pretty much infinite space there and no limit to the number of people that I can bring in as far as I know." Alix said realizing what Mage was getting on about regarding the advantages of using Burrow. "And seeing as there's going to be a lot of people with the members of Class 1-A as well as our old class it would be better to use Burrow to facilitate that though I take it that there are other advantages to using it in addition to that."

"Correct, there are two big advantages to it." Mage said. "The first is that I can make sure that there's an auto translation feature. Other than Marinette and Adrien, there is only one other person who will be present that's fluent in French and Japanese. Do you really want to rely on them to translate everything?"

"Oh right yeah that would be an issue." Alix admitted flushing a bit at not thinking of it especially because while she was currently in Japan they were all speaking French, even the Chinese girl knew it and while she had an accent to her French it was still clear and fluent. "I didn't think of that what with all of us currently speaking it."

"There's another issue then." Marinette said realizing it. "If we have to keep the information on Quirks secret that would be hard to do what with several of our friends having mutant class Quirks. We can probably explain away Mineta's hair and possibly Tsu's gait while Ida can hide his engines, Shoji does have a poncho that can hide his arms and Kyoka can use a hat to hide her earphone jacks but the others might be hard. Toru's invisible, Tokoyami has a bird head, Ojiro a tail that can't be hidden, and Koda's skull and general physique isn't normal to our friends."

"We could claim Tokoyami is weird and likes to wear a bird mask." Adrien said. "Who knows, there may be shows out by then that have characters in bird masks which could help explain it. However Ojiro's tail is a big issue and trying to hide the fact that Toru is invisible is going to be really tricky."

"That is the other issue that can be corrected with Burrow." Mage said. "I can cast an illusion that will hide those features, make Toru visible to them, or make people like Shoji, Tokoyami, and Koda appear normal. It won't change how you see them but how your old friends do. I know that this is a bit wrong but we have to avoid questions to preserve the future."

"It's not ideal but we'll make it clear what the current situation is and why this is necessary." Marinette said. "I think they'll understand though, especially because of the ramifications and the fact that we won't see them any differently but do you know what Toru looks like? I got a glimpse of her face when she refracted Aoyama's laser but that's it."

"No I don't but Mullo might have some idea after all the times that Ms. Hagakure has used the Mouse Miraculous so I'll ask her while you explain everything to your friends here because you have to do that." Mage said. "And I'll need to discuss with Fluff as well so that I can set things up with her for when the moment comes."

"I'm here to help." Fluff said. "Though I can only create Burrow, I do need your magic for any alterations to it."

"Good then I suggest you gather the class and introduce them to Ms. Kubdel." Mage said. "This will need some finessing before you can go if you're going to introduce them to your old friends though they are a resilient bunch and have handled yours and Mr. Midoriya's revelations well."

"Agreed." Adrien said and Marinette nodded and was already reaching for her phone to get the ball rolling on that. "They trust us but this will take some explaining as it's come out of the blue."

"Before that though." Alix said looking to Mage as Fluff flew over to him. "I, er, have a request and I guess you're the best to ask it of."

"Shoot." Mage said. "What do you want? If it's the same deal as the one that I made Fei then I can provide that when you near the end of your natural life, you've used the Miraculous enough for me to make Burrow your Quirk though given its nature that may be a bit complicated when it comes to the laws of the universe. Those then to get prickly when you mess with time too much and I'm already not in their good graces what with the creation of the Rabbit Miraculous."

"No, this power shouldn't be a Quirk." Alix said shaking her head. "And it would mess with the timeline I feel."

"True it probably would." Mage said. "Then what is it that you want from me?"

"Something that I believe that you are in a position to facilitate for me." Alix said as she squared up and looked the immortal Guardian in the eye, her own eyes hardening. "I want to be allowed to remain in Japan for the next few days and fight by Marinette and Adrien's sides in the coming war as Bunnyx."

Marinette and Adrien blinked and their mouths fell open in shock at that. Even though they knew that in at least one future, albeit one that never came to be because of Hawk Moth's actions, that Alix had become the hero Bunnyx as part of their team, they'd not expected her to request to join the in the final war with All for One so they were stunned by it. Fei meanwhile just quirked an eyebrow at it in interest. Mage, however, just stared at her his expression unreadable as he took in Alix and her determined look.

Alix for her part held herself in his gaze without flinching or backing down from it. From the moment that she'd learned of the war in Japan and that Marinette and Adrien would not only be in it but play notable roles in it, she'd decided that she'd do all that she could to help them. Now that she was face to face with a Guardian and someone she knew from her viewings had the power to include her as a hero in this age if he wanted to she wasn't going to back down from this. Alix had set out on her mission because she'd wanted to find her friends and now that she had she wanted to help them.

"Very well, it will take a day or two to sort out the necessary paperwork, along with the backdating and falsifications that come from it so Technus will own my ass for a while for all this, but I can see that you're serious and that you want to help so I can sort it out." Mage said after a moment surprising Adrien and Marinette further. "But there are going to be a few conditions for your service and role in the coming conflict."

"I understand and will abide by them if it means that I can help out." Alix said. "But, er, what are they?"

"First off from now until the mission you are to stay with Fei, your age means that you can't stay here and I can work with that by claiming that you were one of the people brought in to assist her several months ago." Mage said and Alix nodded in agreement at that while Fei gave him an annoyed look but that was more the volunteering her without consulting her than anything else as she was more than willing to help out a friend of Marinette and Adrien's. "Your lack of Japanese will be a slight issue but this way I'll be able to make sure that it looks like you came from our Paris agency so no one will question it."

"I understand and I'm sure that if I'm with Adrien, Marinette, and Fei I'll be able to work just fine with their aid." Alix said. "And the other conditions?"

"There is only one other condition that you must abide by." Mage said his tone getting serious. "You are to only use the enhancements and tool that the Rabbit Miraculous provides. We can play that off as a mix of the costume and a naturally enhanced physique from years of Quirk Marriages if need be so there is no issue there. However, you are not to use your actual power unless it is a dire emergency and even then do you best to make it look like a warp power and not a time travel power. In fact, now that I say it allow, we will be recorded as a warp Quirk called Burrow under the guise that you burrow through space though using it drains you so it can't be used unless absolutely necessary."

"I can do all of that." Alix said her voice serious. "I don't need Burrow to fight and as you said I can make it look like a warp power if need be, I just want to help my friends out in defeating the great evil that is plaguing their new lives."

"Alright then, I'll use part of my consciousness to set things up on my end." Mage said. "Due to everything, you'll be stationed with Fei for the coming war which means that you will be on the same team as Marinette for the final battle but not Adrien. They've been split up due to the natures of their Quirks being suited for specific matchups."

"This won't be easy." Fei said looking at Alix. "Marinette and I are part of the team facing All for One so we get the mastermind of the whole thing. Adrien gets Shigaraki as Cataclysm can contain it."

"I don't expect it to be easy, I've seen how the world has changed over the last two centuries and how dangerous it now is." Alix said. "But like you, I'm a hero so I'll do my duty."

"Just what I'd expect from a Miraculous Holder." Mage said with a nod. "Now if that's all I need to get to work with Fluff so that I can cast the necessary spells on Burrow while you sort things out before entering it. It should only take me a few minutes so longer than it will for you to get things ready. Fei, head back to U.A. and brief All Might, Nezu, and Tsukauchi on the situation. Make it clear that this is for their ears only as it pertains to me, they'll understand. From there contact me and I'll set things in motion on my end."

"Yes sir." Fei said with a nod of her own before looking at Alix. "When this is over, use your power to find me when I'm alone and join me. I'll brief you on the situation and what you need to do."

"I will." Alix said. "Thank you."

Fei just nodded again at that before she walked to the edge of the roof and casually stepped off it. That caused Alix to blink but a second later a black eagle flew up from where Fei had fallen and banked before it began to fly away indicating that she'd had transformed again. As she did, Mage and Fluff also vanished leaving Alix, Marinette, and Adrien alone on the roof.

"Right, so how should we do this?" Alix asked. "I don't know your friends at all so I don't know how to proceed."

"Give me a moment, I'll sort it out." Marinette said as she pulled out her phone, unlocked it, and found the person that she knew she had to call. "We need to make sure that everything is in place first and there's one person who can sort that out for us while also being able to understand without the need for time consuming translations."

Alix trusted Marinette so she didn't say anything as Marinette hit the call button and put her phone to her ear. A second later it was answered and Marinette began talking though Alix noted that Marinette continued to speak French which surprised her as she'd expected her friend to switch to Japanese if she was calling one of her classmates.

"Cavaliere." Marinette said using the code name to imply what she wanted. "I'm sorry to disturb you at this late of an hour but I need you up on the roof right now, side above the girls' rooms. I know that you're tired but there's something unexpected that interrupted my alone time with Adrien and I could use your assistance."

Marinette paused before nodding as she listened to the other end while her cheeks went a bit pink and Alix got the feeling that Marinette hadn't told anyone of her planned alone time and was getting either ribbed or told off for it. Whatever it was, Marinette didn't respond to it though as she just nodded before she thanked the person and hung up.

"Right she should be…" Marinette began but before she could finish a Voyage portal appeared. "…here now. Damn she's efficient."

Alix just blinked before turning and seeing a woman around the same height as herself with snow white hair in a high, standard, pony tail and a black, brown, and white Miraculous outfit that had a distinctive horse theme to it step out of the portal. The woman looked a bit amused as she took in Marinette and Adrien before turning to Alix and her expression became confused as she took Alix in while the sunglasses over her eyes beeped indicating the 5 minute cool down was beginning.

Of course Alix recognized the woman right away so she knew who she was. She'd seen Marinette's timeline and knew that the first Miraculous that she'd lent out was the Horse Miraculous and that she'd lent it to the only person to figure out her and Adrien's true origins, their friend and classmate Momo Yaoyorozu. It would appear that she went by Cavaliere when transformed which made sense as that was a rough French term for a cavalry woman clearly Marinette had a plan which involved bringing in arguably her closest new friend.

For her part Momo took in the older, pierced, and tattooed woman that stood before her. She got no bad vibes or feelings from her and she trusted Marinette wouldn't call her up here if the woman was actually a threat. That and the fact that Marinette and Adrien were clearly at ease around the woman showed Momo that the woman before her was not a threat or an enemy but Momo didn't recognize her.

Well, at least not at first but as the woman bowed her head and began to speak in French, likely presuming that because Marinette had called her in French that Momo spoke it as well, Momo's near photographic memory found what she was looking for. The person was about a decade older than what Momo had seen in the photos that Marinette had in her room but she could still connect the dots.

"Hello Cavaliere, I'm…" Alix began as she offered a small bow that would be common in Japan.

"Alix Kubdel." Momo finished off surprising Alix as she looked up her eyes wide as Momo continued in Japanese accented French. "Marinette has described all her old friends and has pictures of all of you in her room here, well back at school I mean, so I recognize you even if you are a bit older than what I've seen."

"Well you have me at a disadvantage if you can guess you I am." Alix said recovering and grinning. "Momo Yaoyorozu."

That did throw Momo and she blinked, not that anyone noticed with the sunglasses over her eyes, before she looked to Marinette and Adrien, both of whom just shrugged at that. Clearly there was a lot at play here but Momo knew that she would get the answers she wanted right away so she looked back to Alix.

"Kaalki, Dismount." Momo said and instantly her transformation fell to reveal that she was in a simple white t-shirt that was clearly baggy to accommodate her large assets, her PE kit pants, and standard indoor slippers while her hair was down showing that she had likely been getting ready for bed when Marinette called. "I'd say that we're about even then seeing as you know who I am as well. I've got a lot of questions."

"I bet you do." Alix said noting that Momo was a classic Japanese beauty in all senses though the casual look really suited her. "To answer them as best and as quickly as I can. Yes, I am Marinette and Adrien's friend Alix from their past life. I am here because of the power of the Rabbit Miraculous which I presume you are aware of because I know that you learned their secrets first and thus know the Miraculouses best. Finally I know who you are because I can view events that have happened from within Burrow and so I've seen all your interactions with Marinette and Adrien when I was preparing to come here once I found them."

"I see, well I know of the Rabbit Miraculous's time travel power and that it's called Burrow but I know little else about it, how it works, or what the pocket dimension that it creates looks like as it's the one power that we've not discussed much due to its nature and role in Marinette and Adrien's arrival here." Momo said as she pulled out a carrot from her pocket and tossed it to Kaalki who ate it happily while just watching the situation unfold with mild intrigue on her face. "Marinette, is all this true?"

"It is." Marinette said. "I swear on my honor that this is my old friend Alix and that she's here to help."

"Good enough for me." Momo said before she smiled and stepped towards Alix and held out her right hand while Alix was pleased to see that in this life, like their last, Marinette was a leader though Alix wasn't aware of just how much the other girls in Class 1-A looked up to Marinette. "Pleasure to meet you Kubdel, as you know I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, one of Marinette and Adrien's new friends and the first to learn of their history. I never thought that I'd meet one of their old friends though."

"Well I had no idea who their new friends would be when I set out on my mission to find them but it's a pleasure to meet one of them." Alix said as she took Momo's hand in hers to shake surprised a bit by the more western greeting. "I take it…"

Before Alix could finish Momo used the grip to pull Alix a bit closer and leaned in to kiss her on the cheek. Reflexively Alix reacted the way any good French person would and returned the greeting that was common in France but not Japan as they kissed each other's cheeks before splitting apart.

"I see that Marinette has brought in some of her own customs." Alix said as she let go of Momo's hand. "I did notice that occurring from time to time when watching her actions in this life but I didn't expect that you'd do it with someone that's not her or Adrien."

"Only I would do it with Adrien and the rest is just for us girls." Momo said as she smiled at Alix. "As for you in particular, well you are French and Marinette's friend so I wanted to respect your culture. You did offer a bow to me which is a sign of respect for my culture so it was only natural for me to return the favor."

"I see." Alix said unsure what to really make of the clearly clever girl before her.

"Anyway, what brings you to this time period?" Momo asked. "You mentioned that you had a mission to find Adrien and Marinette, is that all?"

"Yes, once I realized that they might be in the future and not accessible in the present, and that that I had a means to actually look for them, I set out to make sure that they were doing ok wherever they ended up and were making the most of their new lives." Alix said before noting the tone of Momo's second question and quickly adding. "Don't worry, I'm not going to bring them back or anything, I know that I can't do that even if I wanted to, which I don't as that would mess up the timeline. I just wanted to make sure that they were doing well and, if possible, allow them to see the others one more time for closure."

"Ah that would be good for them, I remember when Marinette finally let it all out with me when I confronted her about her past after learning that it wasn't what it seemed." Momo said while Marinette flushed as she'd kinda broken down for a bit back then even if it had felt good to be able to confide in one of her new friends about her past. "They need this and you are right, it would be bad to bring them back as it might mess things up for us here."

"It would and I can't anyway because of how they ended up here but what I can do is offer both them and our old friends closure." Alix said. "Mage just appeared and explained how it will be done via Burrow so we'll do it soon but, well, Marinette and Adrien…"

"We want to introduce all of you to our old friends as it's possible to do so with Burrow." Marinette said finishing what Alix was going to say and getting Momo to look over at her. "After we have a moment of our own alone with them of course. However, there's a lot that we need to explain to the class, again, and a few things to sort out before we enter Burrow so do you think that you can gather everyone in the common room? That's why I need you here for the moment so that you know what's going on and can get the others."

"Of course and I for one am honored that you'd include us." Momo said her chest warming at the gesture as well as the trust that Marinette was placing in her with this request. "I'll get right to it but first, er, you may want to put these on Kubdel."

With that Momo held out her hand and her skin sparkled before a pair of long, shoulder length, fingerless, black gloves grew out of her hand. She was eyeballing the length but she was pretty sure that it was accurate as Alix was about the same height as she was so she made them accordingly before handing them to the older woman.

"Huh?" Alix asked taking them with a look of confusion on her face. "Why?"

"Your tattoos." Momo said looking at them. "They're beautiful and all but, well, they are extensive, intricate, and well done sleeve tattoos and, well, tattoos are still not mainstream here in Japan so just in case someone gets worried as they could come off as yakuza. Of course the yakuza is basically no more but old views still exist here."

"Oh right, well I guess it is culturally appropriate." Alix said as she looked over the gloves. "I didn't think of that when I came here, I was simply focused on meeting up with Adrien and Marinette when they were alone."

"It should be fine with the class but as you're staying here for the war and with the current situation in Japan it is for the best." Marinette said. "Best to be safe after all."

"I get that, thanks for the concern." Alix said smiling at Momo. "I am a guest in your country so I will respect your cultural practices and err on the safe side in regards to this."

"Of course." Momo said smiling back before she looked over to Kaalki. "I'll gather the others now. Kaalki, Full Gallop."

At that Kaalki shot into Momo's glasses and she transformed. Instantly she opened a portal to the common room and stepped through it. It closed behind her and as it did Alix turned to Adrien and Marinette.

"She's nice and very considerate about things." Alix said. "And her French is really good."

"Momo's got a near perfect memory so she can pick up languages really well." Marinette said smiling. "She did so as a way to respect our nationality and to get to know us better early on in our time here. It was actually our first real conversation though she'd spoken with Adrien before as he'd both beaten her in our first combat class and helped save her when villains attacked our class in the USJ. Course back then she was asking for permission to train one on one with him and her pronunciation was more in line with English then French as she'd just memorized the dictionary and grammar rules but after a bit of time speaking it with us and learning the differences in pronunciations she's gotten to a near fluent level."

"I see though why did she need permission to train with Adrien?" Alix asked. "I don't get that."

"He's my boyfriend and so culturally she wanted to make sure it was ok." Marinette said. "It was and we even sparred as well to help show that I was fine with it, and because I did want to see how Lucky Charm stacked up against Creation. I won easily, and from there we only got closer. Of course Momo finding out our secret increased that closeness and she's easily my closest female friend here but such is life when you discover that your friend is actually from the past and not just the near past but the pre advent era."

"You mentioned that it was because of Kagami that she found you out." Alix said. "And from what I've gathered, Momo is very smart so she'd unravel that thread if she tugged it hard enough."

"She is the smartest in the class we just never expected that angle though it was one that only she was in a position to take advantage of due to her high society status." Adrien said which Alix could see as while Momo Yaoyorozu had looked casual, her whole posture and mannerisms had screamed high class though she was clearly like Adrien and not Chloe in that regard. "But it helped and having someone in the know before we told everyone was a bit of a relief. Now, though, they all know so it's fully in the open and we're closer with everyone because of it."

"I bet; it must have been hard for a while though." Alix said. "When this is over we should talk more about everything."

"We'd like that." Marinette said and Adrien nodded in agreement. "All of this is helping of course but the looming war is kinda a big concern so we can't do more than simply get closure which will help in its own way."

"Of course and I'm glad that I'm allowed to help you in that regard." Alix said. "And now that I know where you are I can come whenever without issue so long as I hit the moment where you two are in your present. It's good and…"

"They're ready." Momo's voice said in French cutting them off and they all turned to see that she was back in her Cavaliere appearance with her head and torso sticking out of a Voyage portal as if to keep it open with the common room behind her showing the rest of the class looking confused at what was going on, other than Bakugo who just looked pissed at being there. "Come on, this is going to take a while and it's pretty late."

"Right, let's do this." Marinette said steeling herself while Adrien and Alix nodded. "Come on, time to introduce you to our new friends, Alix."

With that the trio walked forward and through the portal to the common room as Momo pulled her head back after they were through to close the portal. Class 1-A was in for another shock and that was only the beginning of what was to come on as the eve of the final war continued.

A slight cliffhanger but a good place to leave this chapter off I feel. I had initially planned on this being full from Mage's arrival through seeing their old friends with their new ones but it would have been a bit long and clunky if I did that and so I broke it up as this is a good place to do so and allows for the next chapter to be the focus of said meeting. Of course y'all know what's in store next so there isn't much more to say about that and as this chapter is pretty straightforward, with a few surprises like Alix's request to join them in the final war and being allowed to do so, there isn't more to say about it as well. As such, I will leave this chapter off here.
