Brighton
At Andrea's house, Molly, Andrea, and Libby were attempting to film a Click-Clock dance video. Molly and Andrea swayed in sync with the upbeat music, their hands tracing the choreography, while Libby stood behind the tripod-mounted smartphone, fidgeting nervously.
"Come on, Libby!" Andrea urged, waving her over. "We have to do this together!"
Libby offered a shy smile.
"I'm, um, not really much of a dancer," she sheepishly said, wringing her hands. "Sorry, girls."
Molly turned, raising her eyebrows in determination.
"Libby, we promised to make this video together. It's all of us or none of us!"
"Come on, move out of your comfort zone!" Andrea encouraged.
Libby glanced down, her cheeks flushing.
"But I like my comfort zone… It's…comfortable."
Molly laughed.
"I get it, but just imagine it! The world deserves to meet Libby Stein-Torres, the next superstar dancer of Click-Clock!"
Libby gave an uncertain shrug, but her smile softened.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"Hold that thought!" Andrea halted, spinning on her heel and heading downstairs. A moment later, her voice floated back up. "Hey, Molly? Someone's here for you!"
Molly frowned, and exchanged a quick glance with Libby.
"Alright, but I'm coming back up here and you are going to be in this video!" She pointed playfully at Libby before hurrying down the stairs.
At the front door stood Tsumuri.
"Can I help you?" Molly asked, curious.
Tsumuri gave a small, polite smile, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.
"Molly McGee," she began. "Congratulations. You have been selected to be a Kamen Rider again."
Echo Creek
In the local dojo, Marco Diaz was leading a group of younger students through their katas. Sensei Brantley had called in sick, leaving Marco in charge.
Marco moved through the motions smoothly, helping a little boy correct his stance and calling out words of encouragement to the others. The bell at the dojo door chimed, and he glanced over, eyebrows raised.
"Hi, can I help you?" Marco asked, walking over as he adjusted his headband.
Tsumuri stood just inside the entrance, composed and with an almost otherworldly grace. She stepped forward, hands folded neatly in front of her, her gaze steady.
"Marco Diaz," she said, her tone was calm yet purposeful. "Congratulations. You have been selected to be a Kamen Rider again."
Gravesfield
Masha sat at the front desk of the Gravesfield Historical Society, idly flipping through a local history book to pass the time. They yawned, wishing their friends or Vee were there to help break the monotony. Vee had her hands full at her mother's veterinary clinic today, helping out with the animals.
The door to the society creaked open, and Masha perked up as footsteps approached the desk.
"Welcome to the Gravesfield Historical Society. How can I—" Masha's words faltered as they looked up, noticing a stranger with a calm, almost ethereal presence standing before them.
"Masha DeLisle," Tsumuri greeted with a polite nod. "Congratulations. You have been selected to be a Kamen Rider again."
[FANTASY! HIT! FEVER FANTASY!]
[BEAT! HIT! FEVER BEAT!]
[GOLDEN FEVER! JACKPOT! HIT! GOLDEN FEVER!]
Suddenly, columns of brilliant purple, yellow, and white light shot down from the sky, illuminating the ground behind the Future Riders. When the lights faded, three familiar Riders stood ready: Kamen Rider Kurma in Fever Fantasy Armour, their fox-like helmet glinting with golden eyes and a signature gold scarf fluttering behind them. Beside them was Kamen Rider Joy in Fever Beat Armour, and finally Kamen Rider Kata in Fever Boost Armour similar to Boscha's.
"Molly! Marco! Masha!" Oscura shouted, her eyes wide with relief and surprise.
"Luz!" Kurma grinned as they jogged toward their future sister-in-law. "I was starting to think we'd missed the party."
"Whoa, is that really Luz?" Joy blinked, seeing Luz's helmet. "Nice upgrade! Looks like you've got a whole new Rider look."
"Sasha and Marcy are here too. Is Anne back too, or did she stay home this round?" Kata asked, joining them with a hopeful expression.
Soaron's face turned hard as she lowered her eyes. Newtonne placed a comforting hand on her shoulder before answering.
"Anne...didn't make it. Just like Penn," Newtonne informed him.
Kata froze, face falling.
"Oh, man… I…I'm sorry. I didn't know."
"It's okay," Soaron said quietly, fighting to keep her voice steady. "You and Molly weren't here for that."
"We're fighting to bring her back," Oscura added, her gaze firm. "So she's not gone forever."
"We're sorry," Joy apologized, her voice soft. "But this is wild! We're in a magical world! It's like being in an isekai anime!"
Newtonne laughed, her spirits lifting.
"Welcome to the Boiling Isles!"
"Alright, enough small talk," Red-Pan growled, nodding toward the horde of Jyamatos gathering in the distance. "You can catch up later. We've got bigger problems right now."
Kurma sneered at Red-Pan. "Didn't think they'd let you, of all people, back in."
Oscura cut in, her voice steady and commanding.
"That's enough! If we don't stop Terra, all of our worlds are finished."
Gato stood beside her, slotting in her Abomination Buckle.
[Set! Dual On!]
"Luz's right, we've got a job to do."
[ZOMBIE! ABOMINATION!]
Kata and Joy glanced at Gato in surprise as she equipped herself with the Abomination Armour on her legs.
"Whoa, nice upgrades," Kata murmured.
"You haven't seen anything yet," Soaron grinned as she detached her Monster Buckle, switching it out for her Phoenix Buckle. "Time to turn up the heat!"
[Set Ascend!]
[CALAMITY WING! RISING PHOENIX!]
Flames erupted around Soaron, the fiery burst forming into glowing embers in the shape of feathers as her Rising Phoenix Form took shape. Her armour gleamed, a proud crimson surrounded by shimmering heat waves.
"Oh my corn, that's incredible!" Joy gasped, holding her cheeks in awe.
Leviathan's thundering steps caught Newtonne's attention. She looked up at the towering Future Rider as he crossed his arms, his visor gleaming.
"Marcy, I think it's time to use that gift I left you," Leviathan grinned.
"My gift?" Newtonne pulled out her Spider Phone, summoning a Mission Box. She lifted the lid, eyes widening as she beheld the oval-shaped buckle with emerald green trim. The sword it displayed had a three-toed foot as a guard, unmistakably newt-like. "Is this...?"
"Only one way to find out, kiddo," Leviathan replied with a smirk.
She separated the Buckle into two halves, slotting them into her Driver.
[Set Wisdom!]
She pushed the centre of her new Buckle to the side, which caused the blade to slide out the scabbard to reveal a more detailed newt's face lying over the spot where her ID Core occupied.
[CALAMITY MIND! WISE SWORD!]
A massive projection of a thick tome materialized around her, its cover etched with intricate designs. The book snapped shut with a resounding slam, then burst into an explosion of light, scattering small sheets of paper that drifted around Newtonne like enchanted leaves. As the glow faded, she stood revealed, clad in a formidable new suit of armour.
Newtonne now appeared as a paladin adorned in gleaming emerald and gold plate armour. At the centre of her chestplate and across her pauldrons shone the golden emblem of Amphibia. Her helmet was now primarily gold with emerald trim, featuring a green, V-shaped visor that added a fierce edge to her look. Draped around her waist was an armoured skirt and seashells adorned her knee guards.
A black cloak with a hood cascaded down her back, the dark fabric contrasting with her brilliant armour. Mounted on each forearm were compact crossbows with folded limbs, ready to spring into action. In her right hand, she held a sheathed claymore, its hilt gleaming.
Soaron and Oscura stared, awestruck.
"Holy shit, that's badass," Soaron whispered.
"Agreed," Oscura added with a proud grin.
Newtonne's face broke into a broad grin as she jumped up and down.
"OMG! OMG! I have a Final Form! Sashy, look! We both have Final Forms now!"
"Guess you like the upgrade?" Leviathan chuckled. Newtonne suddenly hugged his massive, armoured leg. "Whoa, there!"
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Oliver!" Newtonne cried.
Smiling, Leviathan gently patted her back.
Red-Pan caught Oscura's eye, a knowing look flashing across her face.
"Well, what're you waiting for?" she asked.
Oscura looked at her, frowning. "What do you mean?"
Red-Pan gestured impatiently. "Everyone else is using their big wands. So, why haven't you?"
Oscura knew what Red-Pan was referring to: the Oscura Buckle. This was when her inner demon chose to seize the moment.
'You know, she's right. You can't afford to hold back now.'
'I don't need it,' Oscura retorted inwardly. 'Look at everyone here. Together, there's no way we can lose.'
'Suit yourself,' the voice hissed. 'But just remember, the stakes are higher than ever. Are you prepared to lose everything for your stupid principles? Are you prepared to lose her?'
Oscura faltered briefly, glancing at Gato, but the truth weighed on her. She didn't want to admit to everyone that she feared using Empress Oscura's power, especially after everything that had happened. Transforming into the armour of the Dark Empress that had once been feared and reviled across the Boiling Isles would only fuel their panic.
Gato broke the silence.
"She doesn't need it. We have enough firepower. Together, we can take her down."
Red-Pan glanced back at Gato, but concern lingered.
"…I hope you're right about that, Amity, for all our sakes."
Soaron and Newtonne exchanged glances. They understood why Oscura wasn't using her most potent weapon, but — even if they'd never admit it — they shared Red-Pan's sentiment. Against Terra, a little more overkill might be exactly what they needed.
Meanwhile, Terra watched the Riders' little gathering with growing frustration, tapping her foot on the vine she stood on.
"For the love of Titan, Adrian, what are we waiting for?" she snapped. "Let's just kill them all and be done with it!"
Adrian rolled his eyes, or what counted as his eyes, at her impatience.
"You lack all sense of dramatic buildup, Terra. This is the final battle. The 'heroes' psych themselves up, and gather in their strongest equipment, while we, the 'villains,' rally our forces for the final battle that will determine it all. Besides..." he explained with satisfaction, glancing at the Riders. "...it seems they've finally prepared themselves."
"Prepared to die, maybe," Terra sneered. "I couldn't care less about the others, but Oscura must die."
"Now that, I can agree with."
As Terra and Adrian spoke, the Jyamatos screeched and growled in anticipation, eager to charge and destroy the Riders assembled before them.
The Riders moved into formation: Newtonne gripping her claymore, Honey raising her Gigant Hammer, Mirage and Gato readying their swords, Red-Pan and Kata clenching their fists, Amara and Lumina aiming their Laser Raise Risers, Leviathan cracking his knuckles, Joy gripping her Beat Axe, and Kurma preparing their magic. Finally, at the front, Oscura levelled her gun with grim determination.
"Everyone, it's showtime," she declared.
[READY...FIGHT!]
If there was one word to capture what the people of the Boiling Isles were witnessing today, it would be chaos. They had tuned in for Empress Oscura's sentencing, to see the once-feared tyrant who had haunted their lives pay for her crimes. Instead, they found themselves watching an all-out battle as monstrous creatures tore through the courthouse, led by none other than Terra Snapdragon and Adrian Graye Vernworth — the former Heads of the Plant and Illusion Covens, now twisted beyond recognition. Facing them was a team of thirteen Kamen Riders, led by the very person the Isles had feared for so long: Kamen Rider Oscura, the former Dark Empress herself.
Public opinion on Oscura had begun to shift over the past few days as new evidence and surprising testimonies emerged, revealing a far more complex history behind her reign and downfall. Many remained sceptical, clinging to their fear and distrust, but with Jyamatos rampaging, Oscura and her team represented the only hope for survival. In the face of this overwhelming threat, the people found themselves rallying, however reluctantly, behind Oscura and her allies — the lesser of two evils and perhaps, in this battle, the only salvation they had left.
Mirage swooped down from above, rocketing at dizzying speeds as he slashed through a row of Pawn Jyamatos with his Raising Sword, cutting them down in a single, fluid motion before ascending back into the air. Below, five Rook Jyamatos raised their cannon arms, launching a barrage of green energy spheres at the airborne Rider. But Mirage, seasoned from years of Flyer Derby, responded with swift, aerial acrobatics, weaving and flipping through the attacks as he gained altitude. Once he'd reached the right height, he quickly switched his armour.
[Revolve On!]
With the armour flipped into Cannon Mode, Mirage's visor locked into a targeting reticle that flared across his HUD, scanning the battlefield. The reticle zeroed in on the five Rook Jyamatos below.
[Lock On!]
As he descended, the Rook Jyamatos continued their relentless firing, but Mirage had his own plan in mind. Holding his Raising Sword aloft, he carved a massive spell circle, conjuring multiple illusionary clones of himself. Each Mirage clone's cannons glowed with intense blue energy, building up to a spectacular charge.
[COMMAND TWIN VICTORY!]
In unison, Mirage and his clones unleashed a barrage of blazing blue energy streams. The Rook Jyamatos froze, unable to react in time as the energy beams connected, erupting in a massive explosion that obliterated them and a surrounding cluster of Pawn Jyamatos in a burst of fire and green ichor. As the smoke cleared, the clones vanished, and Mirage switched back to Jet Mode.
[Revolve On!]
He activated his thrusters, descending smoothly for a soft landing. But his reprieve was short-lived as he was quickly surrounded by another group of Pawn Jyamatos, their blades shining and closing in. Mirage only smirked beneath his helmet, drawing a spell circle that shimmered and passed over him until he vanished completely from sight.
One by one, the Pawn Jyamatos were cut down, the invisible Mirage slicing through them with precision as they flailed blindly, unable to locate their assailant. The roar of a jet engine and the shriek of metal slicing through their ranks was all they had as a warning.
[Raise Charge!]
Suddenly, Mirage reappeared in the midst of the horde, his Raising Sword glowing with a fierce energy charge. But before the Jyamatos could react, he pulled the trigger.
[TACTICAL RAISING!]
With a burst of speed, Mirage spun in place, slashing his sword in a full arc as a blazing ring of light shot out from his blade, expanding outward in a deadly, widening circle. The surrounding Pawn Jyamatos had no time to escape as the ring carved through them, slicing nearly thirty in half in a single, decisive strike. Moments later, the severed Jyamatos erupted into a cascading explosion of fire and plant matter.
"Didn't see that coming, did ya?" Mirage quipped, his sword still alight as the remains of the horde smouldered around him.
Perry Porter could hardly believe his eyes. Despite his years as a news reporter, and knowing his son had once been part of the rebellion that took down Oscura, he never imagined he'd see Gus fighting as a Kamen Rider. Perry had always known his son was talented — his accelerated placement at Hexside alone spoke to that — but witnessing Gus's remarkable combat prowess firsthand was something else entirely.
In the WATTs, Gus had played a supporting role, using his illusions to back up the frontliners. But here, Perry watched in awe as his son wielded those same skills with a new intensity, every manoeuvre calculated, every illusion crafted to disorient and dismantle the monstrous forces threatening their world.
As he observed Gus's unwavering focus and honed tactics, Perry felt a swell of pride unlike anything he'd known. His son wasn't just talented — he was brave, and he was out there giving everything to protect their world.
On the other side of the battlefield, Honey squared off against three Knight Jyamatos, each of them pointing their seven-pronged swords her way. She merely grinned, ready to get serious.
[GIGANT HAMMER!]
[HYBRID: GIGANT SWORD!]
[ALMIGHT: GIGANT BLASTER!]
[GIGANT ALMIGHTY!]
As soon as Honey inserted the last of the Gigant Buckle attachments, her armour shifted. Two mechanical arms deployed from her sides, one on her left gripping the colossal red-and-black Gigant Sword, the other on her right holding the silver-and-black Gigant Blaster. Finally, her own hands grasped the Gigant Hammer, a blue-and-black weapon with a booster engine attached to its back. Normally, the weight alone would be impossible to wield, but with the Powered Builder Armour boosting her strength and the Boost Buckle enhancing her speed, Honey could command all three weapons effortlessly.
The Knight Jyamatos hesitated, visibly intimidated. Honey gave a cocky grin.
"If you're not making the first move, then I will!"
Without waiting, she fired the Gigant Blaster, unleashing powerful bursts of energy that exploded on impact. The first Knight Jyamato was hit head-on, flying back before erupting in a fiery explosion. The remaining two dodged, one attacking from her left and the other leaping at her from the right. But even as she countered the one on her left with a heavy swing of the Gigant Sword, her right robotic arm raised the Gigant Blaster, tracking the airborne Knight Jyamato. In a split second, she fired, hitting it dead-on in midair. The blast engulfed the Jyamato in flames before it could even reach her, ending in an explosion that rained down greenish ash.
Meanwhile, the Knight Jyamato to her left staggered back from the impact of her Gigant Sword, attempting to hold its ground. Honey saw her opportunity, and with a swift backhand of the Gigant Hammer, she struck the creature like a baseball, sending it soaring sky-high. She didn't even need to watch as she fired another energy sphere from the Gigant Blaster, hitting her airborne target a moment before it erupted like a distant firecracker.
Honey wasn't done yet. Activating her Boost Armour, she launched herself into a horde of Pawn and Knight Jyamatos. She became a force of destruction, an unstoppable wrecking ball tearing through everything in her path. And with each swing of the Gigant Sword, she took out groups of Jyamatos, cleaving eight of them at a time. Blasts from the Gigant Blaster mowed down rows of enemies, while any unfortunate enough to be within reach of her hammer was flattened into the ground with devastating blows.
At one point, she jumped into the air, raising her Gigant Hammer high before slamming it down with earth-shaking force. The Jyamato beneath her was crushed, embedded deep into the ground, and the resulting shockwave sent its comrades flying into each other. Honey laughed, relishing the sight of the Jyamatos scattering like leaves in the wind.
"Who's next?" she taunted, her grin widening as the next wave of Jyamatos closed in.
Gilbert and Harvey sat at home, eyes glued to the crystal ball as the battle raged on screen. Their little girl was out there, facing down Terra Snapdragon and her monstrous army. They both knew how strong and capable she was, but seeing her in the thick of combat, surrounded by danger, filled them with a deep, gnawing worry.
Gilbert's hands were clenched together, silently praying to the Titan for their daughter's safety. Harvey, however, found himself unable to stay silent as he watched their daughter tear through the enemy ranks, swinging her war hammer with enough force to send monsters flying. The sheer power and precision with which she fought lit a fire of pride in his chest.
"THAT'S MY LITTLE GIRL!" Harvey cheered, his voice booming with pride and joy as she took down another group of Jyamatos in a single, decisive blow.
For a moment, their worry eased, replaced by pride in their daughter — a powerful witch, a fearless warrior and always their little girl.
"Can't say I'm happy to see you guys again," Joy quipped, eyeing the group of Pawn and Bishop Jyamatos heading her way. She twirled her Beat Axe around, her voice brimming with confidence. "But maybe a little music will lighten the mood!"
The Bishop Jyamatos raised their arms, releasing clouds of deadly spores that rapidly approached the rabbit-themed Rider. But before the toxic mist could reach her, Joy began strumming the Beat Axe.
[Funk Blizzard!]
With a wide grin, she spun in place, slashing the air with her instrument and sending a wave of freezing energy that hit the spore cloud, trapping it in a massive block of ice. The Jyamatos hissed in frustration and were readying their next move, but before they could react, a sheet of ice spread from the right side of the iceberg, forming a slick path. Joy skated along the ice, Beat Axe in hand, playing a fast rhythm that seemed to command the ice itself.
Joy continued her impromptu solo as she conjured a winding halfpipe of ice around the Jyamatos, effectively trapping them. Those who tried to follow slipped and floundered as the ice crept beneath their feet.
[TACTICAL BLIZZARD!]
Suddenly, shards of ice formed in midair and rained down like hail on the Jyamatos, piercing through them before they could react. As they fell, explosions of green ichor and icy mist filled the air.
From a distance, Rook Jyamatos aimed their cannon arms and fired, desperate to disrupt her performance. Joy grinned and launched herself off the edge of the ice, soaring over the battlefield.
[Metal Thunder!]
The Jyamatos below barely had a chance to react before thunder rumbled ominously above. With a triumphant grin, Joy played another electrifying riff, summoning storm clouds overhead. Lightning crackled and gathered into a single, blinding bolt that descended from the sky.
[TACTICAL THUNDER!]
The giant bolt shattered into dozens of smaller streaks, each targeting a different Jyamato. One by one, the enemies lit up and disintegrated into ash. Joy touched down gracefully, throwing a quick smirk over her shoulder.
"I'd say that was a 'shocking' performance."
A glint of steel caught her eye, and she ducked just in time to avoid a sword swing aimed at her head.
"Whoa! Close call!"
A Knight Jyamato stood over her, wielding a massive, seven-pronged sword. Joy flipped the Beat Axe around, gripping it by the neck and wielding it like an actual battle axe. Sparks flew as she met the Knight Jyamato's blow head-on, blocking and countering each swing with impressive precision. But in a fight like this, there was no room for a one-on-one duel. Three more Pawn Jyamatos closed in, flanked by yet another Knight Jyamato. Joy quickly glanced around, realizing they were circling her, waiting to strike.
"Libby told me music can soothe the savage beast," Joy said, strumming a quick tune. "Let's see if it works on you guys!"
As her fingers danced across the strings, colourful musical notes flew from her Beat Axe, projecting out from the speakers in her armour. The Jyamatos faltered, as if entranced, then began to sway in rhythm. In moments, they were dancing, their rigid forms moving to the beat, lost in a trance.
"Oops, almost lost myself there, too," Joy laughed, catching herself mid-groove. "But let's kick this party up a notch!"
She hit the Elementadrum on her Beat Axe, triggering a fiery solo.
[Rock Fire!]
The tempo intensified, and so did the Jyamatos' frantic, hypnotized dancing. As Joy reached the climax of her solo, flames sprang up in a circle around the Jyamatos.
[TACTICAL FIRE!]
With one final, blazing chord, the ring of fire surged into a towering inferno, engulfing the Jyamatos around her. As six explosions tore through the flames, Joy stood tall in the centre, surrounded by falling embers, her right hand raised in the classic rock 'n' roll horns.
"Rock and roll!" she declared, throwing devil horns with a triumphant grin under her helmet.
The sound of blazing fire roared across the battlefield as two streaks of red energy ripped through the ranks of the Jyamatos, leaving a trail of explosions in their wake. The fiery trails skidded to a halt, revealing Kamen Rider Kata and Kamen Rider Red-Pan.
"So, I take it you're the Rider they recruited after us?" Kata asked, keeping his tone casual.
Red-Pan rolled her eyes under her helmet.
"For the record, I'm not just a Rider, I'm a witch. And if we're gonna survive this fight, the less you know about me, the better."
"Right, fair enough. On your left!"
Both Riders dodged an incoming blast from a Rook Jyamato, moving with perfect synchronicity. Kata dashed forward, coming down on the Rook from above with an axe kick, smashing the creature's head into the ground. At the same time, Red-Pan slid low and swept its legs out from under it. The Rook Jyamato exploded in a flash as the two Riders split off, each taking on their own cluster of enemies.
Kata, using the Boost exhaust pipes on his armour, zoomed around the battlefield, flames trailing his fists as he dealt blow after explosive blow. The Jyamatos flew into buildings, crashed into one another, and erupted in bursts of green fire as he dispatched them one by one. Landing in the middle of a dense group of enemies, Kata spun, delivering a kick that sent his opponents sprawling. He followed up with a series of powerful hits, ending each Jyamato with a crushing blow.
As more Pawn Jyamatos charged at him, Kata backflipped to gain distance, then dashed forward with his boosters firing, knocking down his opponents with a powerful double lariat. Suddenly, his Boostriker motorcycle roared to life and appeared beside him.
"Time for a little extra horsepower!" Kata mounted the Boostriker, revving the engine. Flames shot from the exhaust, and he barreled into a horde of Jyamatos, scattering them like leaves in a storm. Popping a wheelie, he used the back tyre to knock the Jyamatos skyward before they crashed back into their comrades. Kata aimed his bike at a nearby building, racing up its side and launching himself into the air. Grabbing the Boostriker by the front wheel, he swung it like a massive club, smashing the Jyamatos below. As he released, the Boostriker transformed into a mechanized hawk, screeching as it soared through the smoke of the exploding Jyamatos.
Meanwhile, Red-Pan was in her element, setting her sights on a cluster of twelve Pawn Jyamatos, two Rooks, three Knights, and two Bishops. She conjured a blazing fireball with a quick spell, and grinned beneath her helmet.
"Let me show you why I was Hexside's grudgby captain!"
The two Rooks opened fire, but Red-Pan's Boost-enhanced speed allowed her to sidestep each blast with ease. The Bishops tried to create a poison spore cloud as a barrier, but she merely laughed. Cocking her arm back, she hurled the fireball like a comet, piercing through their defences and incinerating the spores in its path. The fireball spun back to her as if tethered by invisible strings, and she caught it in midair.
One of the Knight Jyamatos tried to attack from behind, but Red-Pan blocked its blade with the fireball, the intense heat forcing the creature to drop its weapon as it glowed red-hot. Without hesitation, she rammed the fireball into the Knight's stomach, sending it flying into a group of its allies before it erupted in flames.
A Rook Jyamato raised its cannon, but Red-Pan vaulted into the air, spinning as she kicked the fireball straight into the Rook's weapon. The fireball lodged itself in the cannon arm and detonated, obliterating the Jyamato in a flash of light.
Red-Pan's movements were a blur as she created a new fireball, juggling it with kicks and punches like a deadly game of pinball. Each time it struck a Jyamato, it ricocheted to another, leaving a fiery trail as she dispatched her enemies with ruthless precision. When she'd thinned out the crowd, she conjured a larger spell circle, sending the fireball through it and growing it to five times its original size.
Launching herself high with the boosters on her legs, she raised the massive fireball above her head. With a fierce battle cry, she hurled it down, unleashing a cataclysmic explosion that vaporized every Jyamato within range.
As the flames died down, Red-Pan stood in a circle of embers, defiant and ready. The remaining Jyamatos, seemingly undeterred, regrouped and prepared for another assault.
"Heh, you think you can take me down? I'm Boscha freakin' Barbtalone! I'm not dying to a bunch of plant freaks!"
Boscha's mothers huddled around their crystal ball, watching the battle unfold. Seeing their daughter fight with such determination stirred a mix of pride and heartbreak. Her decision to testify against Oscura had left them both horrified and worried. Learning of what she had done, and the lengths she had gone to get what she wanted, had opened their eyes to a part of her they hadn't fully seen. There was so much she had been keeping inside, things she hadn't spoken about.
They both knew her outburst in court hadn't been out of pure anger, but from wounds left by the past, from the trauma Oscura had caused. Though they were furious to see her locked up as a result, they understood why it had happened. Her pain had festered long enough. It was time they found a way to truly help her heal. When Boscha came home, they'd make sure she got the support she needed. Therapy might be a hard sell, and she'd likely resist, but they were determined to help her find peace before her pain consumed her completely.
Kurma stood on the rooftop, taking in the eerie landscape of the Boiling Isles with wide eyes and a slight smile. This was the Demon Realm, the world Vee and Amity had come from — a place so alien and strange yet somehow alluring. The skies churned with ominous clouds, strange flora sprawled across the land, and a macabre beauty stretched as far as they could see. It was also, tragically, the place where Luz had endured unimaginable trauma. Yet, despite the danger, Kurma couldn't help but feel drawn to this bizarre, endlessly fascinating world.
"Man, I could really get used to this place," they muttered. But the moment was short-lived as a group of Pawn Jyamatos clambered up the side of the building and crowded onto the rooftop. "Too bad I won't remember any of this after this is over. Might as well make the most of it while I can!"
Kurma smirked as the first wave of Jyamatos charged. The closest swung its sword, slashing through Kurma's body — but instead of hitting anything solid, the strike dissolved into an illusion. The Jyamatos looked around, confused, as Kurma reappeared above them, suspended in midair, with dozens of construct rapiers hovering at their command.
With a flick of their wrist, the rapiers plunged downward, raining steel on the Jyamatos below in a series of small, controlled explosions. But Kurma wasn't finished yet. They spun, creating another wave of rapiers, expanding the radius of the attack. As they multiplied, a few Rook Jyamatos raised their cannon arms, trying to shoot them out of the sky, while Knight Jyamatos swung their swords, deflecting as best they could. But they were quickly overwhelmed. The construct rapiers poured down relentlessly until the entire rooftop was engulfed in flames and smoke, the enemy numbers shrinking in waves of explosions.
Kurma landed gracefully amid the destruction, giving a quick bow as if for an invisible audience. Spotting the remaining Jyamatos on the battlefield below, they grinned.
"You all want a piece of me that badly? Alright, I'll make it interesting."
They snapped their fingers, creating a blinding flash. When the light faded, several identical versions of Kurma appeared among the Jyamatos, each wielding their own construct rapiers. Without missing a beat, the clones began to fight. Every time a Jyamato swung at one of the Kurma copies, it would dissolve into another illusion, only for another copy to appear and strike back.
One Knight Jyamato managed to land a blow on one of the Kurma clones, cutting through the armour and spilling what looked like green ichor. The illusion dropped, revealing that it was in fact another Jyamato wearing the guise of Kurma. Each Jyamato disguised as Kurma was programmed by their illusion powers to attack the others — creating a chaotic, endless loop of foes striking at "Kurmas" who turned out to be their own comrades.
"Aren't I a tricky fox?" Kurma chuckled, summoning their rapiers and crossing them in an 'X'. "Now let me show you how it's done!"
They dashed through the battlefield, darting in and out of the Jyamatos' ranks, slashing and striking with precision. A flying roundhouse kick sent one Knight Jyamato crashing backwards, and in the same motion, they sliced through a Rook Jyamato and hurled their blades at two Pawns attempting to flee, both exploding on impact.
"Can't let you wander off," they muttered. With a sweeping motion, they conjured thick iron bars that shot across the battlefield, forming a cage around the Jyamatos and forcing them back toward the centre of the fray. Once captured, they flung the cage like a battering ram into another group of monsters, scattering them as their copies infiltrated the enemy ranks.
Amara and Lumina were having quite the field day with their enemies. The two Future Riders wielded their Charm and Curse abilities with ease, setting off a chaotic chain of events that left the Jyamatos stumbling. For the two Riders, the battle was almost comical. Every time a Rook Jyamato aimed a cannon at them, something would go wrong. Another Jyamato would bump into them, or a random piece of debris would hit them in the face, causing them to fire wildly and take out their own allies.
With their passive abilities working overtime, Lumina and Amara barely needed to lift a finger, but they took advantage of the situation by standing back to back, using their Laser Raise Risers to pick off Jyamatos near and far.
"This got way crazier than either of us could've imagined," Amara noted as she fired a shot.
"Agreed. This could drastically alter our future," Lumina replied, expertly landing a few more shots.
"The fact that we're still here must mean we make it through this somehow, right?"
Lumina took out three more Pawn Jyamatos before answering, "Not necessarily. Time is always in flux. And since our Laser Raise Risers protect us from some paradoxes, we might still be here even if the Boiling Isles…is changed. Or…"
"Got it," Amara cut in. "In other words, fight like it's our last day." She turned to Lumina with a mischievous tone. "Speaking of which, mind if I ride you?"
Lumina tensed, blushing under her helmet.
"Are you seriously asking me that right in the middle of a fight?!"
Amara smirked.
"Relax! I meant riding you in beast mode — so you can fly me around while I shoot these guys. Why, what did you think I meant?"
Lumina growled in exasperation.
"How in the Isles do I put up with you?!"
"Oh, I think we both know the answer to that," Amara teased.
Lumina grumbled, but still pulled the Cross Alternator on her Laser Raise Riser.
[Support Mode!]
A circle of light appeared before her, and in a few bounding strides, Lumina leapt through it, emerging on the other side as a sleek, mechanized owl beast. She flared her wings wide, letting out a fierce, metallic shriek. Amara jumped up, landing smoothly on her partner's back. With another battle cry screech, Lumina took off, slicing through the sky. Amara clung on, firing rounds into the swarming Jyamatos below while Lumina's claws and fangs tore through any in their path. At one point, Lumina's claws glowed brightly as she slashed through the air, releasing eight crescent-shaped energy blades that carved a path through the Jyamatos, leaving trails of explosions behind them.
"Time to get serious!" Amara announced, pushing forward on her Cross Alternator.
[Finish Mode!]
Amara raised her weapon high, allowing purple energy to build at the Laser Raise Riser's tip. Once fully charged, she pulled the trigger.
[LASER VICTORY!]
Amara leapt off Lumina's back, unleashing a massive beam of purple energy that blazed across the battlefield, obliterating Jyamatos in a line of devastating explosions. Once her attack ended, she flipped back onto Lumina's back.
"Nice work, but next time I ride you," Lumina quipped as she flew through the remaining smoke.
"Deal," Amara grinned. "We'll swap roles."
"Not what I meant, darling," Lumina teased, letting her voice drop suggestively.
Amara blushed, flustered under her helmet.
"Wh–What?! But—"
Lumina chuckled.
"And for now, you're driving. I want a turn doing some shooting."
"Oh, and I have my mind in the gutter?" Amara shot back, still blushing.
"Mm, well, maybe we both do," Lumina replied with a smirk, steadying her flight as Amara rolled her eyes, grinning, and got ready for their next round.
Leviathan bulldozed through waves of Jyamatos, his gigantic mecha form almost untouchable. His massive fists crashed down, flattening any monsters nearby, while his Laser Raise Riser launched massive green energy bolts into the fray, creating shockwave explosions that sent Jyamatos flying in every direction.
"LARGE AND IN CHARGE, BABY! SO, WHO'S NEXT?!"
At that moment, Leviathan heard a strange screeching above. Glancing up, he saw a new wave of Jyamatos: these had the twisted forms of wyverns, woven from vines and brambles. Their membranous wings were streaked with chlorophyll-rich veins, and sharp thorns protruded down the length of their spines. Rows of blood-red flowers ringed their necks, and their glowing yellow eyes locked onto him.
"Huh. That's new," Leviathan muttered.
Two of the winged beasts descended on him. Reacting quickly, he deployed twin shoulder-mounted cannons that hummed to life with green energy. Leviathan fired, but the wyverns evaded his blasts and retaliated, each exhaling a stream of neon-green acid. Leviathan threw himself to the side, and the acid hit the ground, sizzling and eating away at the stone. Even nearby Jyamatos unlucky enough to be splashed had melted into puddles of sludge.
"Acid breath? Great… WHOA!"
One wyvern dove at Leviathan, crashing into him and sending them both tumbling to the ground. The monster pinned him, snapping its jaws at his head, but he managed to catch its neck in his left hand just in time. The wyvern strained, then inhaled, preparing another blast of acid. Thinking fast, Leviathan manoeuvred its head toward his right shoulder cannon, which fired a burst that obliterated the wyvern's head in a shower of green mist. He pushed the lifeless creature off and sighed in relief.
Then another wyvern slammed down on him, pinning Leviathan. He struggled, unable to reach the new attacker's neck, watching helplessly as it leaned in to strike.
"OLIVER, HANG ON!"
Newtonne tore across the battlefield, her claymore flashing in her hand as she slashed through the Jyamatos in her path. She leapt into the air, tossing her claymore up as she activated her Wise Sword Buckle.
[WISE SWORD STRIKE!]
As green energy flared around her blade, Newtonne's visor glowed, and she caught her sword just in time to unleash a powerful slash. A streak of emerald light cleaved through the wyvern, and she landed beside Leviathan just as it went limp and exploded in green fire.
Leviathan threw off the remnants of the wyvern and stood up.
"Thanks, kid. That was not fun. How's that new Buckle treating you?"
"I love it! I've never felt this strong before! I feel like I could take them all myself!" Newtonne grinned.
"Don't get cocky. Start thinking that way, and you'll do something stupid that'll get you killed."
Newtonne chuckled sheepishly.
"I know, I know. It's just…for once, I feel like I'm really keeping up with everyone. And on that note…"
She turned to find herself surrounded by another wave of Jyamatos: Pawns, Knights, and an entirely new breed. These beasts looked like chimaeras, each with two heads: a thorn-toothed lion with a petal mane and a glowing-eyed goat with twisted, thorny horns. Their tails ended in cobra heads, each snake's fangs dripping with a dark, venomous ichor.
Newtonne took a steadying breath.
"I've never seen these types before."
"Me neither," Leviathan replied, crossing his arms. "Looks like Terra's getting creative with her powers." The Chimera Jyamatos snarled and stalked closer. Leviathan raised his fists. "I'll handle these guys—"
"No!" Newtonne interrupted, holding up her arm. "I'm a Kamen Rider, too. I've fought in the DGP twice now. Thanks to you, I finally have the strength to stand on equal footing with Sasha, Amity, and Luz. Let me do this."
Leviathan chuckled, crossing his arms.
"Alright, Kamen Rider Newtonne. Show me what you've got."
"Gladly!"
Newtonne sprang into action, charging the Chimera Jyamatos. As they lunged, she leapt over them as their snake tails struck. In mid-air, Newtonne raised her crossbow gauntlets, unleashing a barrage of energy arrows that riddled the snakeheads. The cobras hissed as the arrows embedded in their scales glowed and exploded, severing three of the snake tails in a burst of green light.
Landing behind the chimaeras, Newtonne continued her attack, charging through a throng of Pawn and Knight Jyamatos. Her claymore swung in wide arcs, cleaving through their ranks. The few who tried to block her strikes found their swords shattered and their bodies cleaved in half.
Suddenly, a Bishop Jyamato unleashed a cloud of spores. Newtonne spun, creating a whirlwind that deflected the cloud back at a group of Rook Jyamatos, igniting the spores and causing a fiery chain reaction. She spun her claymore once more, intensifying the whirlwind until it became a tornado. The storm pulled in dozens of Jyamatos, helpless against the spiralling wind. Newtonne launched herself through the column, firing her crossbows in all directions, filling the tornado with energy bolts. She landed, and the tornado dissipated, leaving only scattered explosions where the Jyamatos had been.
With the tornado gone, Newtonne spotted one of the remaining chimaeras breaking free of the chaos and charging her. She readied her claymore, but before she could strike, a familiar figure burst onto the battlefield. Soaron crashed into the Chimera Jyamato, flames dancing around her as she knocked it off course.
"Sashy! I had that one!" Newtonne pouted.
Soaron glanced around, taking in the new types of Jyamatos.
"Well, guess I just can't resist helping you out. But you go wild, I've got your back, babe."
Newtonne smiled under her helmet, nodding as she braced herself.
"Thanks, Sashy!"
"Anytime," Soaron replied, her fists igniting. "Now, where were we?"
One of the remaining Chimera Jyamatos and a hulking, gorilla-like Behemoth Jyamato charged at Soaron. She met the Behemoth head-on, delivering a punch that sent it crashing into a nearby building. The Chimera Jyamato lunged, its cobra tail striking at her, but Soaron caught the jaws, wrestling the snake tail as she dug her heels into the stone road. With a battle cry, she swung the Chimera Jyamato by its tail, hurling it into the Behemoth Jyamato.
"I'M GONNA BEAT A MOTHERFUCKER WITH ANOTHER MOTHERFUCKER!" she roared.
The Behemoth barely managed to rise before Soaron's thrown chimaera crashed into it, creating a tremendous explosion. Without wasting a second, Soaron activated her Rising Phoenix Buckle.
[RISING PHOENIX STRIKE!]
Summoning a spear of flames, Soaron hurled it into the tangled mass of Jyamatos, and the monsters exploded in a roaring column of fire. She landed with her cape billowing, embers casting fierce shadows as her helmet's crimson eyes glowed.
"OMG! That was so cool!" Newtonne shouted, inspired. "Guess I'd better keep up!"
She raised her claymore and activated her Wise Sword Buckle, sheathing and unsheathing the blade twice.
[WISE SWORD VICTORY!]
Newtonne's blade flared with emerald light as she took control of the glowing weapon. She whipped it forward, slicing through the remaining Chimera Jyamatos in a series of swift, deadly arcs. Her slashes left gashes in the stone below as each Chimera burst into flames, consumed by the green energy of her attacks.
Soaron watched, awe and pride mingling in her gaze.
"Goddamn, that was hot. And she's my girlfriend. Anne, I wish you could see this… See how strong Marcy's become."
Newtonne turned to face her, her voice steady and sure.
"I'm not letting Sasha fall while I'm still standing!"
"WE'RE MAKING IT THROUGH THIS TOGETHER!" the two girls swore in unison.
Oscura and Gato fought side by side, a seamless team in the chaos of battle. Oscura unleashed precise blasts from her Magnum Shooter, clearing Jyamatos from a distance, while Gato stayed close, cutting down any who dared approach. The combination of the Zombie and Abomination Buckles gave Amity overwhelming power and versatility.
[Poison Charge!]
The Zombie Breaker's chainsaw blade roared to life as Gato infused it with Abomination slime.
[TACTICAL BREAK!]
Swinging the weapon with controlled ferocity, she launched spinning disks of slime, slicing through the oncoming Jyamatos. The disks didn't just cut — the corrosive slime melted their remains into steaming puddles.
A group of four Chimera Jyamatos charged, snarling and snapping. Gato leapt into the air, extending her left leg as the nozzle on her greave shot out a stream of slime. With a quick thought, the slime transformed into a massive axe blade. She descended, cleaving a Chimera clean in two with a literal axe kick.
The Abomination slime remoulded itself, becoming a platform for Gato to stand on as she looked down at the Jyamatos.
[ABOMINATION STRIKE!]
From the nozzles on her greaves, more slime emerged, forming a large sphere that hovered behind her. With a surge of magic, the sphere sprouted multiple tentacles ending in hands, each conjuring spell circles. A storm of magical lasers rained down on the Jyamatos, obliterating them.
[Revolve On!]
Gato flipped off the platform, and landed in her Abomination Zombie configuration. The Berserclaw on her foot tore into the enemy forces, her poisoned strikes corroding their bodies. Massive Abomination fists erupted from her gauntlets, slamming into groups of Jyamatos and leaving explosions in their wake.
[ABOMINATION ZOMBIE VICTORY!]
Slime oozed from Gato's gauntlets, forming a dark pool underneath the Jyamatos that dragged them under. Then, they popped back up, bound in giant slime-formed tombstones. Her Berserclaw glowed with incredible power and she delivered a roundhouse kick that unleashed a powerful energy slash, shattering both the tombstones and the monsters trapped within.
Meanwhile, Oscura weaved through the chaos, her Magnum Shooter picking off targets with precision. Each shot hit its mark, sending the Jyamatos sprawling to the ground.
A Jyamato lunged, but she flipped over it, landing behind and unloading several shots into its back before sending it flying with a kick. The Boost-powered kick sent the helpless Jyamato soaring through its comrades, knocking them down like boiling pins.
As Oscura fought, her inner demon could not help but give her remarks.
'You're wasting time with these weeds,' her inner demon growled. 'We need to get to Terra. She's the source.'
"I can't get to her with them in my way!" Oscura snapped back. She rushed forward, flames from her Boost Kickers propelling her into a roundhouse kick that sent several Jyamatos sprawling. She followed up with several more shots of her Magnum Shooter.
'It would be so easy to take her down if you used my power!'
"And become your puppet?" Oscura retorted, dodging an attack with a split and countering with her Gunslinger Legs. "No thanks!"
[Revolve On!]
Switching forms, Oscura delivered a flurry of flaming punches into a Rook Jyamato, her boosted strikes ripping through its chest.
[Revolve On!]
Switching back to Magnum Boost Form, Oscura detached the Magnum Buckle to replace it with the Shark Buckle, activating it.
[SHARK & BOOST! READY, FIGHT!]
The Boost Kickers ignited, sending her into the air before she made a nosedive towards the ground. Instead of landing flat on her face, she dove through smoothly, as if the ground was made of water, confusing the Jyamatos. As they looked around for their enemy, one of them was grabbed by the ankles and dragged into the ground, screaming. The rest soon followed as they were dragged underground as well.
Oscura emerged moments later, spotting an approaching Knight Jyamato. She pulled the Shark Crescents from her back as the Jyamato charged at her with a sword thrust. She swiftly deflected the blade before slashing the two-headed, horse-like cactus monster across the chest. She delivered a kick into its chest, sending it flying before she dashed across the ground. Once she was under it, she jumped and delivered a kick into its back, sending it skyward.
[TACTICAL SURGE!]
Aiming high, Oscura fired a burst of water that tore through the Jyamato's body. Once it was dead, she ran straight at a group of Jyamatos, rotating her Driver as she jumped into the air.
[Revolve On!]
Her limbs and head shifted, allowing her to wield the Shark Crescents on her legs. She dropped, slicing through a Jyamato with her kick before she began to deliver punishment with her legs.
[Revolve On!]
[Set! Dual On!]
[FANTASY & BOOST!]
As the dust settled, shining golden wings spread out behind Oscura as she assumed Fantasy Boost Form. The fire jets burst from her boots, sending her gliding across the battlefield, using her wings to slice through the Jyamatos. Spotting Terra, she launched herself feet-first, wrapping her wings around herself to form a drill aimed straight at the Queen Jyamato.
Terra sneered and snapped her fingers. A Knight Jyamato intercepted, catching Oscura's leg mid-attack.
"Bye-bye," Terra taunted, snapping her fingers again.
The Knight Jyamato swelled, before it exploded violently, sending Oscura flying. She crashed through a building, rolling on the ground with a growl.
'So, are you gonna use it or not?'
"Shut up!" Oscura snapped at her inner demon once she was back on her feet.
"OSCURA!"
Hearing her name, she turned to see Skara and Viney nearby.
"What are you two doing here?! You should've evacuated!" Oscura yelled.
"We were helping some stragglers," Viney explained, still tense.
Suddenly, a Wyvern Jyamato landed behind them, ready to hit them with its acid blast. As Viney and Skara screamed, Oscura acted quickly, conjuring a shield that caught the deadly stream, protecting the two witches. Pushing the shield forward, she trapped the Wyvern's head in a bubble of its own acid. The beast stumbled before smashing its head against a building in panic, but the damage was done as the acid ate away at its head.
[FANTASY STRIKE!]
Oscura crushed the wyvern under the weight of her magic circle's force, obliterating it as it exploded.
"Are you two okay?" she asked, turning to face them.
"Y-Yeah…" Viney stammered.
"Good. Now get out of here." Oscura turned to leave.
"Wait!" Skara called out. "Why did you save us?"
Oscura paused.
"I'm not expecting you to forgive me. I didn't do it for that."
"Then why?" Viney pressed.
"Because I don't want to see anyone else die, not while I can save them. You're precious to my friends, and that's a good enough reason for me. And I'm sorry…for everything."
With that, Oscura dashed back into battle.
Skara and Viney watched her go, stunned.
"That was Oscura, right?" Skara asked.
"It sounded like her, looked like her…but she felt different," Viney replied.
"Maybe Willow was right. She could've let us die…but she didn't."
Viney sighed.
"This is all so confusing. I don't know how to feel about her."
"Same. But…right now, I think Oscura — Luz — is our best shot."
Dr. Exposition: Shoutout to Kamen Rider Goji & Busterleader92 for getting this done before the holidays.
