A few days later, Izuku's secret suit was finally with him. Technically Mei had made it in a day, but it had some ammunition added to it.
And he wanted to test out Mei's new gear with Hitoshi before the exam.
Right now, Hitoshi threw three thin and glittering projectiles at the tree that made her bark break off.
Hitoshi: those are pretty useful throwing needles.
A small object flies past him, caught right between the two needles.
Izuku: and I haven't lost my eyesight skills. The gear she helped me make in training came in handy too.
He threw a round object of a different color this time, and the one that had been embedded in the bark before opened into a three-pointed star.
Hitoshi: what are these colors for again?
Izuku: it's like with rank. Gray and white go to the beginning. Black is something in between. And the colored one...
He showed him the remaining three in his hand.
Izuku: higher in quality.
Throwing it precisely at a tree branch, the shuriken cut it down and slammed into another tree.
Hitoshi whistled after such a trick.
Izuku: we're getting ready in no time.
Izuku's watch started beeping and he started pulling out shurikens in a panic.
Izuku: I might be late for the exam!
Time Skip
The bus with class 1-A stopped in front of the destination and the teacher instructed the students to get out of the vehicle.
Aizawa: do you all have your costumes?
1-A: yes!
Aizawa: be aware that this exam will not be easy for you. You will be acting in it as the only UA freshmen along with the B class. Once you get this provisional license, you will already be chickens that need to be trained.
Iida: we won't let you down teacher!
Kirishima: yes! We'll show them what it means to be heroes in the eyes of danger! We will go further and beyond our strength!

A sudden voice interrupted their pep talk and they looked at the culprit. A bald teenager in a different uniform with a cap was raising both hands.
However, more of Izuku's attention was armored to the gorgeous blonde.
Izuku: (this is where it all starts.)
Beginning of the exam
Uraraka: Wow, Deku! Did you completely change your costume?
Izuku: not that completely...
POV Izuku
We all gathered in the center as Mera explained to us what we had to do and explained the reason for the test change.
I had to listen to him even though I hated him as a person from the Hero Commission.
And so our test began.
There are exactly 100 people who can pass this test. And with us all being divided again, I needed to remember my old survival training.
Only with less blood and monsters.
Izuku: I'm already full of stress and nerves. I wish there was some way to get them out of here.
My hair stood up and it made me lower my head from the woman's fist.
Cami Utsushimi looks quite seductive in her costume. If only it wasn't dressed under the quirk of Himiko Toga.
Izuku: here comes the help.
Kemi (Himiko): huh?
I punched her in the stomach and hit two targets with the ball. And then while there was smoke, hooked up the black whip and grabbed her.
Cami (Himiko): let go of me!
After making a quirk more of a smoke screen of dust, I touched her chest.
Kemi (Himiko): mmm!
Izuku: are they like real to you, Himiko Toga?
The fear of realizing the situation made her more eager to leave.
Izuku: but I won't hurt you or even turn you in to the villains.
I pulled the hidden knife out of my belt and cut my palm.
Izuku: sorry hold this form while drinking it.
After drinking a little of her blood, Toga has stopped trying to get away and is now enjoying her appetizer.
Toga: mmm! It's so delicious.
Izuku: my blood is from the first group. The blood people consider her one of the most desirable. If you do as I say, you'll get under two servings from me and another possessor.
Hearing such an offer, Toga almost took off her disguise out of happiness. However, she thought it was strange.
I saw that, so I had to push the buttons.
Izuku: your parents are just assholes for not giving you blood.
And so the disguise fell off her body. Himiko used this to attack with a leg kick, but I saw it coming and grabbed the leg.
Izuku: And it's not your fault you attacked Saito.
I tied her up tighter and began to dress my wound.
Izuku: if you don't want to feel loss or pain again, then stay away from the plague masks.
She started growling back at me.
Izuku: you don't have to act like that. I just want to help someone who hasn't been helped by this world either. Just like me when I was left behind.
The growling stopped and then I let her go.
Izuku: when our next confrontation happens. let's meet at Tatooine Station subway station. I'll give you more there.
I put a small jar of blood in front of her.
Izuku: you haven't decided on your role yet, so you still have a chance. Think about what I've said.
I left her amidst the raised dust and went to find Hanta and Ochako.
Time Skip
During the break before the second part, I noticed that Utsushimi was nowhere to be found.
Izuku: (if she makes a noise, the exam will be interrupted.).
We soon came to the field of the ruined city and I was the first to run to the actor's screams.
The old man was pretending to be a child and was half crushed by rebar.
Izuku: it's okay! The heroes are here!
Actor: m-m-my pain...
Remembering a similar situation, I gently took his hand.
Izuku: I'll help you, but you need to be strong. Are you ready?
Receiving a nod from him, I picked up the wreckage and started holding it with both hands. Then I grabbed it very gently with the Black Whip and held it against my chest.
Izuku: is there anyone else here besides you?
Actor: y-yes...
When I saw Ashido and Sero running towards me, I hid the Black Whip and waved at them.
Izuku: Guys, over here! There are more survivors here!
When Sero got here before Ashido did, I gave him instructions.
Izuku: the structure of the building could easily collapse due to my quirk. So use the tape to hold the supports together. And have Ashido spray quite a bit of acid on the rubble in case there are any injured people underneath.
Sero: u-understood.
A couple minutes later
I took the victim to the healing center and saw that Uraraka had already brought two limiting people.
Izuku: you do realize you're harming their unhealthy bodies, right?
Uraraka: w-what?
I gently grabbed them and lowered them down onto the healing sheets.
Izuku: your quirk could have worsened their condition if it was an internal bone fracture. You should help the others and lighten the rubble for the search.
As I walked past, I found Fumikage, Momo, and Mezo in the distance.
Izuku: Tsukuyomi! Use Dark Shadow to drag more wounded! Also let the Tentacles climb up to survey the area! Have Creation create walkie-talkies for all of us!
Attack of the Villains
When the explosion occurred, I ordered Momo to continue treating the sick. Mezo stayed on watch, with Fumikage and Dark Shadow on guard.
Ork's gang and his group moved towards us until Jonasa and Shoto appeared. Their attack almost hurt the others and so...
Strike!
Strike!
I hit them in the heads.
Izuku: assholes! You should have created your rules by miracles a wall of flame or a firestorm against the leader of the group!
My hand was dipped in a fast drying solution.
Orc Gang: and it was already too late.
Starting to move towards us, I activated Full Cover at 25% and freed my arm.
Izuku: what a way to go!
Increasing the power by 50%, I covered my body under the suit with Black Whip.
Izuku: Musutafu's blow!
This blow left the leader powerless and moreover tore apart his faction.
Izuku: Tch! It hurts... how painful.
Despite the capabilities of this suit and Black Tail's cover, my body took mediocre damage.
Measure: Villains defeated! The exam is passed early.
Ah... I seriously need a break from stress.
After the exam
As I made my way through the crowd of students, I looked for my name at the bottom of the admission list.
But I couldn't find it there.
Izuku: me... I'm not on it.
???: Wow! He's in first place!
????: which is to be expected from a student from the school where the Almighty teaches.
My interest got the best of me and I looked at the top of the list.
1st place: Izuku Midoriya
Score: 97
I couldn't believe my eyes at that moment. Looks like an experience from the dark past really helped me.
Mera: More than 20 years ago, there was one person who scored over 90 on the test in the entire history of Japan. And now he has become just a part of history with his 93 score.
I already suspect who it might have been. My class began to cheer for me, except for Katsuki.
I hope I don't cause a fight at school. Because I need to help some people.
Time skip
UA
Getting off the bus, Aizawa asked us to get in formation.
Aizawa: You all did well to get your hero licenses. In return, you can take two days to rest. Those who have not passed it will have to go through additional courses.
When I thought we were already released, Aizawa grabbed my shoulder.
Aizawa: we need to talk.
A few minutes later
I was standing in front of Aizawa and Almighty with Principal Nezu.
Izuku: am I in some kind of trouble now?
Nezu: I'm very proud that someone from our school took the record first year exam point. However, that's not the reason you were brought here.
Aizawa: I noticed that you behaved differently in the second part of the exam. And you didn't break any bones.
Izuku: no, but I tore a lot of muscles...
There was a brief silence between us.
Aizawa: I found it suspicious and reported it to the principal. Then the Almighty stood up for you. Again.
I glanced glumly at my idol.
Izuku: and these are your conclusions from suspicion?
Aizawa: the difference in your behavior and- should be added.
Izuku: I have been to Kamino. I saw the destruction and the maiming of people. And you suspect me of something now?! Just like you suspected me of being overconfident on our first day?!
I looked hatefully at the skinny All Might and the headmaster.
Izuku: I'm already regretting agreeing to be your successor.
I didn't realize that the Black Whip was coming out of my hands with the smoke.
Izuku: you're a worthless mentor!
I ran out of that office and took off at full speed on Full Cover before Aizawa could catch me.
No POV
Trinity remained stunned and silent after Izuku's outburst of anger.
Aizawa: what was that all about, Yagi?
Upon hearing his last name from his coworker, the former hero lowered his head down.
Almighty: it's a... long story.
With Izuku
Back in his hiding place, Izuku paid no attention to his two partners.
Hitoshi: hey, what's wrong?
But he didn't answer him. Izuku's hand clenched tighter and tighter into a fist and then he turned off his quirk and punched the tree with rage.
Crunch!
The blow actually only scratched his hand while the tree itself tilted back slightly with a dent from his fist.
Izuku: infuriating...
Punch!
Izuku: infuriating...
Punch!
Izuku: I hate them so much!
PUNCH!
Izuku: like I wanted to be the only one who survived out there like they thought!
CRUNCH!
The tree fell after Izuku's final blow.
Hitoshi and Mei went over to check on him, but saw tears streaming down his face.
Izuku: I wasn't the one responsible for their deaths...
