The Fire Titan
*POTD*
Four months had passed since Natsu began to meditate before the Fire Dragon Tablet, consolidating all the knowledge contained within the ancient rock. Four months had also passed since Eliza and Seilah agreed to help Lord Xicor, the pair having spent their time scouring Draconia for everything the Dragon God requested.
The first, and foremost concern, was the chaotic mass of vengeful Magic housed within Dragon Cry. The staff would need to be cleansed using various flora and objects scattered across Draconia. Xicor assured the pair that it was a rather basic ritual he'd performed before, as concerning as that was to hear.
Either way, the pair had finally found everything Xicor needed for the ritual, and had made their way back to the Fire Dragon Temple to check in on Natsu's progress. However, what they found was rather alarming.
"He hasn't moved so much as an inch," Eliza muttered, running her finger across his shoulder, his body coated in a thick layer of ash.
"Should we be worried about this?"
"Hard to say," Eliza shrugged in reply, motioning for Seilah to look at what was happening around them. "He's definitely doing something as he is?"
Seilah watched as different colored flames burst to life around Natsu, before immediately extinguishing themselves. Their source was most certainly Natsu, as his Magical Presence was all around them.
"The pressure he exudes has already increased a thousandfold since we departed? His mastery of Fire Dragon Slayer Magic surely must be close?"
"For every strain of fire he masters, his power increases," Xicor's voice grumbled, as the pair looked back toward Natsu himself. "The Dragon Monarchs are masters of their respective elements, virtually unrivaled. However, I think Igneel is taking longer than projected because of Natsu's other elements?"
"You think he's trying to have Natsu master them as well?"
"Its unheard of among the Dragons to attempt such a thing, but it does make sense. Natsu is the first to actually possess multiple Dragon Slayer Elements as a true Dragon Slayer. If he can gain better control over all the elements at his disposal, he might be able to soon match the stronger forces of Alvarez?"
"I appreciate the vote of confidence Lord Xicor, but I'm probably still not quite there yet," Natsu smirked, startling both Seilah and Eliza, the pair not having expected him to wake so quickly. "Honestly, I was hoping to get that shit done in about two months?"
"So, did you succeed," Eliza asked curiously. "Did you manage to become a Dragon Monarch?"
"Oh yeah," Natsu smirked, igniting a fire before them with nothing more than a thought, before promptly extinguishing it. "I did."
"Well then, I daresay congratulations are in order," Eliza replied with a small smile, only for Natsu to silence her with a raise of his hand. "What is it?"
"We can't celebrate until I fulfill my end of the bargain with Igneel and destroy that Tablet…and what it contains."
"What it contains," Eliza asked, clearly not sure what Natsu was referring to, as he looked over toward the ancient Fire Dragon Tablet, recalling his last conversation with Igneel before he woke up…
*POTD*
"Well done Natsu… Actually, I suppose that's not the proper way to address you now, is it? Congratulations, Lord Natsu," Igneel smirked, sitting before Natsu with a proud grin. "You've truly surpassed my every expectation this time!"
"So it's over," Natsu asked, as he looked around his mindscape curiously. "I'm a Dragon Monarch now?"
"You have learned all that there is to know from the Fire Dragon Tablet, and mastered each and every technique. However, now that you are the Fire Dragon Monarch, its time I revealed to you the full truth as to why I want the Fire Dragon Tablet destroyed…"
"Alright then," Natsu replied, sitting before the Dragon. "Lay it on me?"
"You already know that your Magic had to resonate with the Magic inside the tablet, right? Well, this isn't the normal process in mastering an element and becoming its Dragon Monarch."
"It's not?"
"No. For you see, long ago, back during the Titan Wars, the Gods and Devils combined their power, and sealed a small piece of a Titan away into this stone tablet," Igneel explained, as Natsu began to rapidly pale. "That's right. When you resonate with the tablet, your body is subtly being influenced by the Titan within, bolstered to greater heights."
"You mean to tell me…that there's a fucking TITAN in there!?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying. The knowledge you have absorbed from the tablet, is the knowledge the Titan within held of its own element. In essence, you are partially embodying what the Titan is, if that makes any sense?"
"It does…I think? But there's one thing I'm still trying to process," Natsu muttered in response, as he pondered the tablet. "If I destroy the tablet, then won't the Titan within be freed?"
"Correct. This is why I had you train to become a Fire Dragon Monarch before you destroyed it," Igneel replied, fully acknowledging the threat that could be unleashed. "However, it is paramount that you defeat the Titan that emerges from the tablet, denying Achnologia the chance to devour it, should he ever learn of its existence!"
"That would be bad if he gained the power of a Titan," Natsu agreed quietly. "When the tablet is broken, the Titan will reform itself, right?"
"Correct. However, it won't even be at half its true strength, since the Gods and Devils only sealed a portion of it away, like I said earlier," Igneel replied firmly. "But don't think that being a Dragon Monarch, a Devil, and E.N.D will be enough to assure you victory! The Titan will still be easily above most beings in this world, and its fire will actually be able to harm you."
"Well damn, don't give me too much confidence," Natsu sighed, massaging his temples as he processed what he was going to be dealing with. "So let me just check… You're saying that I DO have a chance to beat this thing?"
"Correct."
"By what margin?"
"I'd say it's around sixty to seventy percent in your favour now that you're a Dragon Monarch," Igneel replied after several moments of thought. "Before that, it would have only been around thirty percent."
"Well," Natsu sighed, shaking his head. "At least it isn't zero…"
*POTD*
Bringing himself back to the present, Natsu looked up toward the tablet, steeling himself for the fight to come. Though Igneel said his chances were definitely good, Natsu wasn't going to go into the fight with such a mindset.
"Seilah, I want you to stay back," Natsu spoke up, surprising the pair as Eliza stepped toward him.
"What are you doing Natsu?"
"Surely you can sense it Eliza, if only faintly," Natsu murmured, motioning toward the Fire Dragon Tablet. "Housed within that tablet is what remains of a Titan, and I've got to destroy it!"
"What did you just say," Eliza gasped, as Natsu darted forward, striking the tablet and shattering it to pieces. "Natsu you idiot! What the Hell do you think you're doing!?"
"You know this is the best option Eliza! The Titan is weakened, I know we can take it!"
"Natsu, you fool! Do you have any idea what you've just unleashed," Eliza snapped, as the entire area began to shake violently. "Damn it all!"
Natsu didn't have the time to respond, as the remains of the tablet burst into flame, molten chunks of rock smashing into the temple walls as a blazing sphere of fire manifested where the tablet once stood.
The shapes eventually solidified, taking on a humanoid form. An audible sizzling sound could be heard by the trio, as the Titan manifested fully before them.
"So, this is a Titan," Natsu murmured, noticing the same blackish Aura that the Dragonslayer wielded during their battle. "Checks out…"
The Titan was clearly male and stood at fifteen feet tall, had dark red skin with black eyes, a strange runic marking scratched into both its chest and back. The Titan's long, shaggy black hair spilled down his back, as his body lit on fire, a full set of black plate armor manifesting to cover his naked form.
"It really is a Titan," Eliza whispered, as the fire surrounding the central platform roared to life, the Titan chuckling deeply to itself as it examined its blackened hands.
"Long has it been since I last felt my own flesh… Too long has it been since I last walked the mortal realms… And what is the first thing I see upon my release? A most heinous pair of Godling and Devilkin!"
Eliza and Natsu felt the Titan's power explode, as its hair caught fire, rising up as fire exploded from the wrists of its gauntlets, and the ankles of its feet. It didn't take a genius for the pair to figure out that he was pissed off.

"I feel like I didn't scold you enough," Eliza frowned, looking toward Natsu who stood firm before the Titan. "Even weakened, its power still dwarfs all but one percent of Earthland's strongest!"
"Doesn't matter," Natsu replied, activating his Devil's Aura, his Magica Power exploding from his form, something that amused the Fire Titan.
"Heh! My return shall see the blood of Godlings and Devilkin stain Brother Terra's earth run red with their dirty blood," the Fire Titan roared, as it also began powering up, its eyes growing darker as the blackish Aura surrounded its form.
"Be careful Natsu, it's wielding the Titan's Aura!"
"Yeah, the Dragonslayer wielded it as well," Natsu replied, as the entire mountain range trembled under their combined power. "I trained to master fire so that I could match him Eliza, so back me up as we take him down!"
"I'm not supposed to interfere in these matters," Eliza muttered, biting her thumb as she contemplated what to do. "Does this constitute a break in the Rule of Realms? I mean, this is a Titan we're talking about here…!?"
Natsu shook his head as Eliza started doubting what she should do in the current situation. He knew why, having read some of the books regarding the Rule of Realms when he was in Tartarus, but he was obligated to fight regardless.
"Fine then, just me for now," Natsu huffed, as he stepped up to face the Fire Titan. "Bring it on!"
Natsu Dragneel (PTS Devil's Aura Dragon Monarch's Evolution Base Form Full Power) – 997.42 Billion MPI
The Fire Titan seemed somewhat surprised at Natsu's strength, as he had been heavily suppressing himself up until that moment. But the Titan then roared with laughter, the fires on its body exploding even more, as it slid into an offensive stance.
"So, the Devilkin wants to die first!? Very well, STEP UP," the Fire Titan roared, as his Aura exploded around him.
Prometheus Decillion (Titan's Aura Base Form Drastically Weakened) – 5.77 Trillion MPI
The Fire Titan roared as the strange symbol from its chest shone through its armored breastplate. Suddenly, a massive torrent of raging fire spewed forth, as the Titan let loose an earth-shaking roar.
"That won't work," Natsu muttered, raising his right hand and blocking the attack with ease.
"Impossible," the Fire Titan gasped, his attack veering off to either side of Natsu and blowing away either side of the temple. "A Devilkin with true mastery over fire!?"
Internally, Natsu was also stunned at just how powerful he felt. Igneel shared no such surprise, merely chuckling at his shocked stupor.
"I told you that once you became a Dragon Monarch, your strength would skyrocket, didn't I?"
"You did, yes. But this level of strength is insane Igneel… Four months ago, I only had just over half this power in my Stage II Dragon Force, and now…"
"Now you realize just what you are, Natsu… You aren't just an ordinary Dragon Slayer, or a Human. Hate Zeref all you want, but you are a powerful machine of war, constantly evolving and growing stronger…"
"Just like Zeref always wanted," Natsu murmured to himself, as he dragged his focus back to the battle. "I'd better take this slow… Flame Drive!"
Fire exploded around Natsu's form as he shifted things up a notch, feeling the Fire Titan beginning to charge another attack. His eyes were as wide as could be, the rush he felt eliciting a low chuckle from the man.
"This is unreal… Hehehehehehe… AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Let's see how you handle this then, Devilkin! Titan's Aura: Inferno Wave!"
The Fire Titan waved his arm out in front of himself, firing off a massive wall of raging red fire that quickly shot toward Natsu's position. The Devil looked toward Eliza, who still seemed to be distracted, and shook his head.
Raising his right arm, it morphed into a black blade as he coated it with his Aura.
"Devil's Aura: Demonic Dragon Monarch's Salacious Slicer!"
Bringing his arm down hard, Natsu fired off a massive aerial slash attack at the Fire Titan, who blocked it with his right forearm. The Titan skidded back a considerable distance, sliding through the lava and being pushed right out of the temple, with Natsu in hot pursuit.
"It will take a lot more than that to harm me, Devilkin," the Fire Titan roared, eventually managing to deflect Natsu's attack as it sliced the top of one of the four mountain peaks clean off. "I'm just getting warmed up!"
"Aha! Fire pun," Natsu laughed, only for the Titan to stare at him with a blank look. "Fire… Warmed up… No?"
"You die now," the Fire Titan replied bluntly, vanishing from where he'd been standing and reappearing right in front of Natsu, striking him hard in the gut.
"OOF-!"
Natsu found himself launched across the mountain range in seconds, smashing through two of the mountains before he even realized he needed to start pulling himself back together. Exiting the third mountain, Natsu flipped midair, extending his left hand behind him as a deep purple Magic Circle appeared, halting his movement.
"Fine then you prick! Let's see how you like this!"
Suddenly launching himself back at the Fire Titan, Natsu cocked back his right fist, coating it in a deep purple Aura.
"Devil's Aura: Gravity Dragon Monarch's Zero Graviton Fist!"
Throwing the punch, the Fire Titan caught it with ease, applying pressure to Natsu's hand, eliciting little more than a mild wince.
"Is that the best you could come up with?"
"No," Natsu smirked, as the Fire Titan's arm suddenly folded in on itself. "This is!"
The Fire Titan's eyes widened in shock as its entire upper body was folded backward, becoming almost two dimensional. It then vanished entirely, right as a massive explosion obliterated one of the nearby mountains in their entirety.
A giant dome of Gravity Magic manifested around the impact zone, as everything within was viciously and violently knocked about every which way, tearing anything within to pieces… the Fire Titan included.
At the conclusion of the attack, another explosion expelled everything within the dome, completely annihilating countless hectares of land in the process as fire and debris crashed all over the place.
Natsu touched down on the ground, sensing the Fire Titan nearby. The area around him was already blasted to bits from the Dragon War, so their chaotic battle was at least avoiding innocent casualties.
"I have no doubt he survived that," Natsu muttered, feeling the ground rumbling ever so slightly. "He didn't even scream when my Gravity flattened him…"
"Of course I didn't," the voice of the Fire Titan laughed, as fire burst through several cracks in the ground ahead. "I'm literally fire itself you idiot!"
The Fire Titan reformed itself from the raging fire, sitting down on the ground before Natsu as he rubbed the back of his head, a small smirk on his face.
"Got to say, those were some damn powerful hits that Gravity attack got me with! I'll give you props for doing that as a weakling, but you wouldn't have lasted a second against me if I had my full power!"
"Fine then, let's take this up another notch," Natsu replied firmly, as scales began to form across his body, his height increasing to match the Fire Titan's own. "Let's see how you handle the Dragon Force!"
Natsu Dragneel (Devil's Aura Dragon Force Full Power) – 3.98 Trillion MPI
The Fire Titan laughed, even as Natsu stepped up to him, the pair emitting dangerous levels of heat, as the ground itself seemed to heat up beneath their feet.
"Just because you've gone and mastered how to wield fire, doesn't mean you can use it the way I can! After all, I am the element of fire itself," the Fire Titan boasted proudly. "I can manipulate it in ways beyond your pathetic comprehension!"
"Oh yeah, isn't that nice," Natsu replied darkly, as the pair both cocked back and tried to headbutt each other, splitting the ground between them as they were forcefully separated. "But you know what they always say…?"
"What?"
"Don't fight fire with fire," Natsu smirked, the look on the Fire Titan's face showing he knew how the rest of the proverb went. "Yeah."
"Your arrogance amuses me, Devilkin. You believe yourself to be my equal? An equal to the progenitor of fire itself? Well, soon you shall learn, when your entrails paint this countryside," the Fire Titan replied calmly, as he cracked his neck to relieve some pressure. "The warm up is over. Let us see how you handle me now, Devilkin?"
Natsu vanished on the spot right as a pillar of black fire erupted from the earth beneath him, reappearing behind the Fire Titan, poised to strike. Before he could land a blow however, another black pillar erupted, this time from the Fire Titan's own back.
"GURGH-!"
Natsu was completely caught off guard as the attack blew a hole right through his stomach and out his back, launching him high into the air. The Fire Titan vanished, reappearing ahead of Natsu as he grabbed him by the face.
"Let me teach you a lesson I taught many of your Godling and Devilkin ancestors long ago," the Fire Titan spoke quietly, cocking back his right arm as they both shot toward the earth at massively faster than light speeds. "There is no winning against us, little Devilkin. All that awaits you… is death!"
The Titan slammed Natsu into the earth, shaking the entire continent from the sheer force alone, as a massive fissure split the land clean in two, fire erupting from the impact zone like the eruption of a raging volcano.
"Such arrogance is not to be suffered among the lesser species," the Fire Titan muttered, as he hovered over the gaping hole he'd put in the continent. "It was folly to challenge a superior being such as myself."
"My confidence isn't entirely misplaced, Fire Titan."
"What-!?"
The Fire Titan barely had the time to react as a golden blur shot past him, a brutal kick to his back sending him crashing deep into the hole he'd assumed he'd just killed Natsu in. Rising to his feet in seconds, he was shocked to see Natsu was almost completely unharmed.
"Devil's Aura: True Heavenly Body Magic – Meteor!"
The Fire Titan grit his teeth, the continent rumbling under his power as his body became coating in a myriad of different colored flames. Natsu quickly realized the Fire Titan was now truly pissed off, and knew he had to try and put an end to the battle quickly.
"He's starting to regain strength Natsu," Igneel gasped, suddenly realizing what was happening. "Of course, how could I forget such a simple lesson! He is fire itself, and right now, he's like a naked flame, growing ever stronger the longer you fight!"
"Seems like we've got to end this quickly," Natsu replied aloud, as the Fire Titan's form rapidly started to grow, rising up to several hundred feet tall, his armor shattering and his flesh melting away.
"YOU WON'T SURVIVE THIS NEXT ATTACK DEVILKIN," the Fire Titan roared, becoming a massive, rainbow colored flame. "BURN!"

"Just wait right there Fire Titan," Natsu shouted in response, as his form began to rapidly bulk up once again, growing to over twenty feet tall. "Let's see you handle my Dragon Force Stage II!"
Natsu Dragneel (Devil's Aura Dragon Force Stage II Full Power) – 11.96 Trillion MPI
Arching his neck back, a deep purple Magic Circle appeared in front of Natsu, followed by an orange one, and finally a bright yellow one. The veins in his face and neck became much more pronounced as his canines lengthened, a bright purple light escaping his maw.
"I won't be defeated so easily, Devilkin," the Fire Titan roared, cocking back his right hand as he charged up a fiery attack.
"Devil's Aura: Lightning Gravity Dragon Monarch's Reverberating Graviton Cannon!"
Upon firing the attack from his mouth, it smashed through the three Magic Circles, rapidly increasing in size as the Fire Titan fired his own attack just before impact. The Titan roared as he was pushed deeper into the earth.
"Not…Not yet," the Fire Titan snarled, as his attack slowly began to push Natsu's back. "Not…to a Devilkin!"
"Shit! He's actually pushing me back! I was banking on this attack working," Natsu hissed internally, funneling even more power into his attack, stalling the progress of the Fire Titan's own. "This breath attack is leagues above the one Lykyria would put out, yet its losing!"
"It's like I told you Natsu, he's regaining his lost strength," Igneel chimed in, as both of them noticed something from the corner of Natsu's eye.
"The Hell is that-?"
Natsu's eyes widened as Eliza sprinted toward the Fire Titan, her fists coated in God's Aura. The Fire Titan seemed to notice her as well, a panicked look coming across his features, his eyes darting between Natsu and Eliza.
"I can't stand by and simply watch this any longer," Eliza shouted, as Natsu felt her power crash over the battlefield. "I may not be allowed to end it! But I promise I'll bring it damn close!"
Eliza Faulkner (God's Aura Base Form Massively Suppressed) – 77.42 Trillion MPI
"Holy shit…"
"Elder God's Aura: War God's Armageddon Storm!"
The Fire Titan roared in pain as Eliza unleashed a brutal barrage of punches and kicks into him, blasting apart his semi-intangible body in a matter of seconds, before reappearing at Natsu's side.
Natsu's attack followed through, smashing into the Fire Titan's position, as the entirety of Draconia began to shift. The attack struck with so much force, so much power, that combined with the chaotic forces of Gravity, the continent underwent a chaotic tectonic shift, sliding several hundred feet in a North-Western direction.
Natsu and Eliza watched as vicious thunderstorms from the attack tore entire hectares of land apart, as violent storms of Crash Magic shattered everything they swept across. Yet through it all, the Fire Titan yet lived, his body being blasted apart and reforming constantly as he tried to rush the pair.
"My apologies for my indecisive action earlier. This is…unexplored territory, even for me."
"It's fine," Natsu replied, waving her off. "He only broke every bone in my body one time."
"Praise be your Healing Factor, hmm?"
"Praise be," Natsu chuckled, before growing serious once again. "For real though, he's pretty damn strong. Do you know of any way we can put him down for good?"
"Well, this Titan is a part of the Elemental Pantheon," Eliza muttered, watching as he was ripped apart and reformed over and over again. "He cannot be truly killed, just sealed away. However, there is one thing you could do to win?"
"What's your idea?"
"It's quite simple really," the War Goddess smirked darkly. "You've mastered your Gravity Dragon Slaying Magic, right?"
"Yeah?"
"Then there is an obvious solution to our problems right there… We'll trap him in a Black Hole."
"…You're actually a fucking genius," Natsu blurted out, with even Igneel baffled he didn't think of such a solution earlier. "The Black Holes I can create lead to a sort of pocket dimension of sorts, so we could dump him in there?"
"Then we have our plan," Eliza smirked, both turning their attention back to the Fire Titan, who had broken free of Natsu's attack, his Magical Power having doubled from before. "I'll keep him distracted, giving you ample time to perfectly create the Black Hole!"
"This isn't something I can just whip out any day you know, especially if I seal a damn Titan in there," Natsu replied, as he flew higher into the air. "One wrong move, and I could accidentally lose control of it and suck in the planet and its moons!"
"Then make sure you concentrate and keep your mind off of me," Eliza smirked, cracking her knuckles. "Finally, something to punch that won't keel over in seconds…"
As Natsu began charging up his attack, dark purple sparks of raw energy shot out of his form, as he fully extended his right arm down toward the battlefield below, his left hand gripping his right arm as it began to shudder.
"Steady…Steady…"
"Eliza can buy you the time you need, so don't rush it," Igneel spoke up in support, as a thin black line slowly began to tear through the skies above. "Steady…"
Meanwhile, down on the ground, Eliza had rushed the Fire Titan, brutally hammering away at him with an endless barrage of devastating punches and kicks. Despite the fact that it was currently light work, Eliza could feel that it wouldn't be that way forever.
For every three blows she landed on a single spot, it seemed slightly tougher to blast apart on the fourth strike. Having landed upward of ten thousand blows in under thirty seconds, it was safe to say that the Titan was rapidly adapting.
"Foolish Godling," the Fire Titan snarled. "Do you truly think you stand a chance against me in the long run!? Abandon your foolish Devilkin ally and I might spare you this day!"
"I've never run from a battle in all my life Fire Titan," Eliza replied sharply, knocking the Titan into the side of a mountain as she continued to lay into him. "The day I run is the day I die!"
"Then that day has come," the Fire Titan snarled, suddenly snatching Eliza mid combo, startling her immensely as he began to squeeze her in his massive hand. "I've slaughtered thousands of Godlings and Devilkin over the millennia! You will be no different!"
"H-How annoying," Eliza hissed, as the Fire Titan reared back and threw her across the continent in a matter of seconds, her body smashing through everything in its path, causing widespread destruction.
Prometheus Decillion (Titan Form Full Power Regaining Lost Strength) – 112.8 Trillion MPI
"N-Natsu," Eliza panted, popping into existence at his side, several cuts across her body. "We've got a problem?"
"What is it," Natsu hissed, trying to concentrate.
"Well… Draconia is on fire now."
"I can see that-!"
"No. I don't mean this area," Eliza replied sharply. "I mean the ENTIRE CONTINENT just lit on fire!"
Now that gave Natsu pause. To be able to set a continent as large as Draconia alight in a matter of seconds was a nearly unheard-of feat in their world. But then again, they were fighting the literal embodiment of fire itself…
"I'm about ready to deploy this attack, so stay back," Natsu huffed, as he moved the black line to face the Fire Titan. "Here goes-!"
The Fire Titan roared as he celebrated his supposed victory over Eliza, his power still rapidly climbing as he grew more and more aggravated. Eventually, he looked up at where Natsu was, pointing a giant, flaming finger at him.
"You're next, Devilkin! I'll keep your corpse as a reminder of when I began my new crusade against the Gods and Devils!"
"Just try it," Natsu roared in response, as the Fire Titan launched himself up at Natsu. "Devil's Aura: Dragon Monarch's Secret Art – Gravity Dragon Monarch's Black Hole!"
Due to the speed at which the Fire Titan had launched himself at Natsu, he came face to face with the Black Hole as it opened. His perceptive ability was more than capable of processing what was going on, but he didn't have the ability to react fast enough to avoid it.
"N-NO!"
"FUCKING YES," Natsu retorted loudly, as the Fire Titan was sucked into the Black Hole face first. "GOOD RIDDANCE!"
Eliza and Natsu watched as the Fire Titan was sucked into the Black Hole, screaming and trying desperately to escape as his body twisted up like a noodle, being sucked into the raging vortex. His screams eventually faded, as Natsu carefully closed the attack, sweating profusely and panting heavily.
"Damn… That shit was stressful… Not doing that for a long time… Or ever," the Dragon Monarch huffed, reverting to his base form as he dropped out of the sky, falling unconscious.
"Well," Eliza sighed, equally as damaged as Natsu was. "Can't say I blame you for passing out after successfully using and controlling a Black Hole, can I?
Looking around where she was currently floating, Eliza couldn't help but shake her head, seeing the entirety of Draconia burning. Looking down to Natsu, she knew he'd likely want to do something, but there simply wasn't the time for it.
"Its back to Terminus with us, Natsu," Eliza muttered, opening a portal and leaving the devastated land of Draconia behind.
*POTD*
Emerging from her portal near Xicor, she immediately placed him down before the Dragon God, as Seilah knelt down at his side, checking to make sure his Demonic abilities were healing his injuries.
"The boy certainly doesn't do things by halves, does he Eliza?"
"Absolutely not," the War Goddess huffed, as one of the attendants wiped the blood off of her body. "Thank you."
"Now that the danger has passed, I assume you have questions?"
"Questions? I have a lot more than just questions for you Xicor," Eliza snapped, stepping up to the Dragon God with her fists clenched. "Am I to believe you had no knowledge of the Fire Titan being sealed within the Fire Dragon Tablet!?"
"Straight to it then… Very well. Yes, I did know about it," the Dragon God replied bluntly, catching Eliza off guard. "It's the only one I know of, and I never once mentioned it because it was safely contained. "
"Do you have ANY idea what could have happened if Natsu wasn't able to make that Black Hole in time!?"
"A global extinction event. I'm aware."
"…Unbelievable," Eliza hissed, shaking her head as she looked back down toward Natsu. "You and I will be discussing this later, Xicor! For now though, we need to discuss this ritual you plan on doing to Natsu? After that Titan debacle, its more imperative than ever he have the tools necessary to combat such threats himself!"
"I agree. The Fire Titan, even in his final moments, still wasn't as powerful as Zeref or Achnologia. It makes sense to attempt to grant him this power, as risky as it is…"
"So, what do we do?"
"I've already gone through the trouble of purifying Dragon Cry whilst you were on Earthland. Notice the bladed tip at the bottom of the staff Eliza?"
"Yes…"
"I need you to thrust it deep into his heart please?"
"Excuse me? You want me to do what with it!?"
"I know it sounds strange, but this is necessary. The blade won't actually harm him in any physical way. Think of it like giving someone a vaccine using a syringe or something?"
"I feel like this is a bad idea," Eliza murmured, looking toward Seilah. "What do you think?"
"I honestly don't know Lady Eliza? My expertise on the subject of Divine Rituals is extremely limited, so I'm not really any more clued in than you?"
"Fair. But do you think we should go through with this?"
"Personally, I want to say no," Seilah replied instantly, before biting her lip as she looked at Natsu's unconscious form. "But I know that Master Natsu would agree to it, which means I also must agree to it…"
"I really hate the fact that you're speaking sense," Eliza growled, looking away from the group as she held Dragon Cry in her hands. "If this succeeds, Natsu will become the Second True Hybrid, the first being… Well, the Black Wizard."
"But if it fails," Seilah asked, as both sets of eyes moved toward Xicor, who had the decency to look somewhat worried.
"He dies, and we're all fucked."
"…"
"…"
"…"
"On three?"
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Alright then," Eliza sighed, as she raised the bladed edge of Dragon Cry up, ready to stab him through the heart. "Three…"
"Two…"
"One…"
Eliza stabbed Natsu in the chest, the staff immediately shaking off Eliza as it began quickly breaking down, dissolving into a silver-colored goo that slowly seeped into his chest, sealing the hole it had made upon entry.
The trio waited for several moments for any sign of something happening. Eliza then placed her hand over his heart, her gaze falling flat a she looked toward Seilah and Xicor.
"His heart stopped… I-I think we just killed him?"
Unbeknownst to the trio, two other figures were in the room with them, observing the events most curiously.
"I say Brother, they do seem rather committed, don't they?"
"We already knew they were dear Sister," the Brother replied, as he strolled right past the group, his white suit blowing on an invisible wind, as he looked back to his Sister, who was fiddling with her fancy black dress, acting like she wasn't paying attention. "Sister?"
"Just grab him already dear Brother, you know we can't be messing with them like this for long?"
"I know," the Brother sighed, shaking his head as he looked down at the man in his arms, smirking at the fact none of the trio noticed he'd picked Natsu up yet. "Back home, then?"
"Indeed. I did take temporary possession of his soul, so its best to sort things out there."
"Quite right dear Sister," the man smiled, as the pair vanished, taking Natsu with them.
In the time it took the trio to blink, Natsu's body vanished from view. There one moment, gone the next.
"W-What-!?"
"Master!?"
"Oh dear… I think we should probably inform the Council about this," Xicor added, clearly worried now as his eyes darted around the room, hoping Natsu would turn up somewhere. "This is…really bad actually."
And so, the trio began to panic, unaware of the mysterious figures who had spirited Natsu away as he clung between Life and Death… both figuratively, and literally.
