Humans were not the only ones who hated Mondays, most demons did too, especially one demon Lord. The first Monday of every month he had a dinner meeting with both his mother and his father.
This Monday was just like every other first Monday, well it was until his brother walked in.
Sesshomaru and his father were mid-sip of their whiskey when they saw Inuyasha enter. His mother's eyebrows shot up and both Toga and Sesshomaru lowered their neat whiskey from their lips. What was shocking was who was on his arm, or more currently, who wasn't on his arm.
"I do not know what is more surprising, that he would have her or that she would have him," Sesshomaru's mother stated "I wonder if Kagome knows about this,"
Both Sesshomaru and Toga look at her.
Both men thought they knew the answer to that.
They watched as the pair went to the bar where a display none of them wanted to see occurred. It wasn't till Kikyo needed to fix her lipstick that both father and son stood and made their way over.
The demoness thought it was also the perfect time to adjust her own lipstick, though it was always perfect.
Inuyasha did not even seem bothered when they came up to him, one on each side.
"Yo," He said grabbing his freshly made drink.
"Inuyasha," His father said with question,
"What?"
"Where is Kagome?" Sesshomaru asked,
Inuyasha took a sip, "At home I guess,"
"You guess?" His father questioned and Inuyasha sighed, "We broke up,"
That was indeed news to them, they had just seen her yesterday and all seemed fine.
"Is she aware that you are with another," Sesshomaru asked,
K, it aint anyone's business,"
"Inuyasha, you were just with Kagome yesterday, this seems a bit fast."
Meanwhile, Sesshomaru's mother was glaring into a mirror at Kikyo's reflection. It did not bother Kikyo but she knew why she was there. She fixed her lipstick and stood back, "Do you have something to say?"
"Do you?"
"I do not kiss and tell,"
"I did not peg for such public display,"
Kikyo smirked,
"There is a reason you two chose this spot,"
Kikyo turned, "Are you upset?"
The woman scoffed, "I do not care about the half breed, however, blood is blood no matter how tainted and I do not trust you,"
They glared,
"I want the truth girl, and I will have it,"
"No need for force," Kikyo said, "Inuyasha and I are going to be married,"
The demoness did not look impressed, "He has spent two years with the other,"
"I fail to see your point?"
"Why would he-" The demoness stopped talking and stepped closer to Kikyo and smelt her.
Kikyo did not move and not from fear.
Sesshomaru's mother stepped back, "I see, what weakness he has,"
Kikyo narrowed her eyes,
"Does it make you happy?"
"Why would it not,"
"That is all it took,"
"She wouldn't, I would and I knew what I wanted, what he wanted,"
The demoness wasn't one to make unbecoming faces but she could not stop the slight lift of her lips, showing off a dangerous fang and her distaste. Then it was quickly gone and she turned and left.
She walked right up to the bar and glared at Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha, you were just with Kagome yesterday, this seems a bit fast," Toga spoke,
"Tell them," She snapped,
Inuyasha down the rest of his drink,
"It is no accident that they are here," She snapped,
"What have you done,"
"You all seem really concerned for Kagome," Inuyasha snapped, "You dont even like humans," He glared at his brother, "And you dont even care about me so what the hell,"
"Inuyasha," His father warned,
"The girl is pregnant," The demoness snapped,
Sesshomaru and Toga looked at each other,
"Is this true son?"
"K, yeah,"
This meant, that not only was Inuyasha no longer with Kagome, but he had done the unthinkable.
He cheated.
Inuyasha glared at Sesshomaru "Dont even judge me like that you aint mister faithful,"
"I have made no commitments to any woman," He snapped back,
"Poor Kagome," Toga breathed,
"Oi!"
"Weakness," Sesshomaru sneered,
"Say that guy who sleeps around, you ain't no virgin!"
"This is not about me Inuyasha," He snapped,
"What the fuck do you care!"
"It is not about if I care, it is about honor,"
"Yeah well, I would call marrying the girl carrying my baby honorable,"
Sesshomaru slightly growled and pushed away from the bar.
"Where are you going?" His father called,
"Home, I am done with this, leave it, what is done is done," Then he vanished.
His father sighed and the demoness crossed her arms.
Truth was, he was right.
"Look, I know you love Kagome, I, I do to but, but just not like that," He looked at his empty glass, "I tried," He sighed, "If he thinks that makes me weak then fine, but what I did was honorable, and I didnt cheat," He snapped at the end.
"Does Kagome know,"
"She is my best friend, I told her how I felt weeks ago," He shook his head, "She knew something wasn't right because that's how Kagome is," Kikyo joined them.
"Kagome agreed because, just as I could not give her what she wanted, she could give me what I wanted,"
"Sex?" The demoness snapped,
"She was not ready, nor willing, perhaps the bond you thought they had was not as strong as you thought," Kikyo spoke,
"Kikyo," Inuyasha whispered, begging her not to get them started more than they already were.
"I hope it was worth it," The demoness snapped, "Come my Lord,"
She turned and waited.
Toga bowed his head slightly and took his leave.
"You look like a puppy," She snapped at Toga,
"I liked Kagome,"
She too had gotten quite used to Kagome and dare she say even her son had come to terms with the girl. Sesshomaru was not as forgiving, while his father and mother might have understood what Inuyasha said, Sesshomaruu knew the truth, in the end, it was about one thing.
Kagome was an unwilling virgin and Kikyo was not.
