"She what…?" The words echoed out lowly over the speakers, aged voice tinged with tension.
"I'm afraid so sir. The reports say that she and young Midoriya were attacked in the city streets by an escaped villain. She handled the situation admirably despite the circumstances, but suffered a severe attack in defense of young Midoriya." The image of Ivo over the video feed was fuzzy as the man twisted his mustache nervously.
"How have I not heard of this until now? Where were her handlers? Her escorts?" Gerald asked lowly, eyes narrowed. On the screen was a playback of the news, replaying the moment Shadow had run into the fray, tossing herself in front of an explosion that would've very likely killed the young green haired teenager.
"You know her, Sir. She likely shook her escorts sometime before the attack." The red coated man sighed gruffly, removing his rounded glasses to clean them before continuing. "I've updated them on her whereabouts and they have since returned to the penthouse until further notice."
"And what of the attack downtown? Why was she not brought to the hospital for immediate treatment?" Gerald felt more than a little irritated to learn only after the incident that she'd been involved in a dangerous villain attack. He'd been ready to go nuclear before the other man had managed to calm him down and explain.
"She was checked over by emergency services at the site of the attack and was deemed well enough to forgo any further treatment." Ivo stated simply, hands clasped uncertainly behind his back. "Either she had not suffered as much from the attack as it would seem, or she healed from her wounds faster than thought possible."
"Where is she now…?" The aged man muttered lowly. "Where is my daughter?" His tone softened slightly. More than her involvement in the incident, the clip of her collapsing upon being surrounded by the reporters was what had concerned him. She hadn't been so affected by something like that in years, however he also deduced that she usually shied away from those situations in the first place.
Ivo cleared his throat. "The drones followed her to young Midoriya's house. I'm assuming she plans to stay with him tonight." He coughed, expression hidden behind the glint of his glasses.
The aged scientist frowned, instead turning his attention back towards the recording of the fight. Something about it was bothering him, and upon further review he found out just what it was. "I was under the impression that Midoriya was quirkless…" He muttered curiously.
Ivo's eyebrow rose in question, curious so as to the sudden change of topic. "That would be correct, sir. It's been that way since he was born, as evidence by his records." He explained, sighing as if it couldn't be helped.
"Then how do you explain this?" He directed his attention to the blurred recording of the fight. After Izuku had been saved by Shadow saw him seemingly pulling Katsuki free from the villain without actually touching him. More than that, a faint green aura surrounded him for the briefest moment as he pulled the other teenager free.
It had happened so fast that the camera seemingly barely captured it, but once you noticed it, it became impossible to ignore.
Izuku Midoriya, previously thought quirkless since birth had suddenly displayed a power he'd never used before. It was as if that moment was a turning point, and his body simply reacted on its own. Hair flashed silver, a light green energy surrounding the explosion user for a brief moment.
"How had I not noticed this before?" Ivo muttered in shock, eyes widening slightly behind his glasses.
"Is that boy truly quirkless, or have his records been altered?" He muttered lowly. The truth behind what he was seeing changed everything, and he had to know. But as much as he yearn the understand what had lead to this, he knew his curiosities may be better left unsatisfied for the time being. "Ivo, I want you to look into this matter discreetly. This doesn't leave this room, understood?"
"Yes sir." The red tailcoat wearing man murmured lowly.
"Shadow…?"
She moaned quietly in her sleep, rolling over as she attempted to drown the noise out. She was so comfortable, so warm, so cozy. She didn't want to get up, didn't even want to open her eyes.
"Shadow…" Her pillow mewled again, turning red underneath her strong grip as she pulled it closer to her body. It smelled so nice too, which was surprising since it usually smelled like hot cakes…
Mmm…
Hot cakes, she could really go for some hot cakes right about now.
She giggled in her sleep, nuzzling up close to the crook of its neck, cheeks flushing. Her pillow didn't smell like hot cakes tonight, but more like hot ramen noodles and cheesecake. She wanted to grab it and never let it go…
"S-Should we wake them…?"
"And ruin this perfect moment? Don't be ridiculous. You've got to take a picture, before they wake up!"
"O-Okay…"
"Just make sure the flash is off-"
The hedgehog found her eyes fluttering open at the flash of light that lit up the room, sitting up from the delectable warmth of her bed, sheets falling off to reveal her in nothing but a pair of black panties and a bra. She blinked slowly, gaze half lidded as her eyes gradually adjusted to the dim light of the bedroom to find two perfectly still women standing at the foot of her bed.
She blinked one eye after the other, a jaw popping yawn slipping past her lips as she glanced back down to the young man in her bed, reaching over to shake him awake as her eyes fluttered back closed. "Izuku…" She moaned tiredly, the black bags underneath her eyes telling as she weakly shook the green haired teenager. "Wake up… your mom and Bakugo's mom are watching us sleep…" She murmured as she trailed off, slumping back down on top of him.
The young man groaned tiredly, rolling over in his sleep as she cuddled back up to him under the covers, clutching at his plain white tee shirt in her sleep. He found his eyes slowly opening at her tugging, sitting up with a jaw popping yawn in much the same way she'd done mere moments prior. He licked his lips, eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness of his room to find his mom and Mitsuki standing in stunned shock at the foot of his bed.
…
…
…
"Did you at least use protection?" The blonde woman asked brazenly, grinning cheekily as the teen slowly devolved into a panicked horror when his brain finally managed to catch up to what his eyes were seeing.
And the way his cheeks lit up could've powered a city block had he plugged himself into the grid, a slowing rising scream escaping from his throat in horror. "W-W-W-W-What are you d-doing in my room?!?!??" He screamed, steam falling out of his ears as his brain began to malfunction in an attempt to explain why he was half naked in bed with a girl they both knew he was close friends with.
The reason behind the malfunction came from the obvious explanation that he didn't have an explanation that would explain the faulty explanation his brain was failing to cook up, and Mitsuki's teasing grin and wiggling eyebrows certainly wasn't making it any better.
"Well call us a bunch of worry worts when we came rushing back here after seeing you three on the news, only to find you both getting freaky in the sheets. I mean I don't blame her, but I do think it's a little too early don't you?" The blonde cackled, cracking a grin at the green haired boy's mother.
Inko looked ready to pass out, cheeks redder than her son's.
"W-W-We didn't do anything!" He shouted, throwing his arms together in an X, shaking his head negatory.
"Shut up, it's too early to be this loud!" The sleeping hedgehog grumbled, tossing her purse across the room in an attempt to shut up the source of the talking. Izuku watched in abject horror as her bag spilled open, watching in slow motion as a pack of condoms fell out before crashing gently into the older blonde's chest.
His mouth fell open in horror, head slowly twitching towards the half naked sleeping girl in his bed, wondering why in an endless sea of questions why she had a pack of condoms in her purse! He felt whatever cognitive brain functions he had left short circuit when his mind conjured up more than a handful of scenarios revolving around why she would need those with him, very vivid in detail.
The last thing he remembered before passing out was Mitsuki barrel over in laughter, collapsing to the ground as Inko slapped her upside the head, face as red as a tomato.
As for a certain sleeping hedgehog, all that she cared about was the fact that her new favorite cuddle toy had returned to the bed with her, and she was quick to latch back onto him. "Good boy…" She hummed softly, smiling in her sleep…
It had taken a lot of explaining to get the two women to believe that they hadn't been fooling around in his sheets before they'd gotten home that morning. The fact that she was sleeping in nothing but her undergarments certainly didn't help their case, but after Izuku explained in great detail the events that had led up to them sharing a bed, the matter was dropped.
The pictures that had been taken? Well, no one knew about those, so those were going to stay.
Apparently Inko and Mitsuki had gone on a shopping trip together at the mall and had expected to come home later that night. But upon seeing the news at the mall with the villain attack near their neighborhood, and seeing both of them fighting on the tv, it was safe to say that they'd rushed home as soon as they could.
As for them…
Well?
After All Might had stopped them in the alley that evening, he'd left them with a vast newfound array of knowledge. More than that, he left Izuku with a choice to make.
"You are worthy of inheriting my power! And if you would accept it, I want you to be my successor!"
That's what he'd said that day, leveling a powerful gaze upon the teenager. It had taken a little bit of explaining from the man to open their eyes to the opportunity standing before him.
All Might's power was not his own. His quirk was a gift that had been given to him many years ago and he had been cultivating it for nearly forty years before meeting them that day. Most of his life had been spent acting as a pillar in society, a symbol of peace across all of Japan, and even further beyond.
But time had not been kind to him, something he showed them when he'd pulled up his shirt. A grievous wound marked his body, a permanent reminder of how close he'd come to dying in the line of duty. Because of that he could not be the hero he needed to be all day, a mere three hours was all he could manage anymore. And as the years passed on, that time limit was shrinking.
Soon enough, All Might would be no more.
Yet before that time came he needed to find a successor. Yes, for just as his power had been handed down to him, cultivated and churned into an even greater power over the course of forty years, it was finally time for it to be passed on to someone else to begin the process once again.
And he had chosen Izuku.
Just as she'd said before, that day had been the most chaotic day of their entire lives, and it hadn't even been over when she'd made that statement. The big man had offered Izuku time to think, but he didn't even hesitate to respond.
"Yes! Y-Yes I'll become your successor!" The teenager had beamed, tears streaming from his eyes.
All Might had left them with his phone number and promised to call them some time in the next few days to begin going over what was required to become the next user of One For All. After that they both shambled home, thoroughly exhausted and drop dead tried. Izuku'd taken off his school uniform and had practically just climbed in bed.
And she'd followed him, passing out the moment her head hit the pillow.
Now…
How her clothes had suddenly vanished in the middle of the night…?
She was pretty sure she'd had them on when she fell asleep, but she really couldn't remember. The spot in her memory definitely didn't help their cause, but Izuku's mom knew that she wouldn't lie to her so she dropped it at the end anyway. She also got her approval, whatever that meant.
But that was beside the point, because two days later saw them meeting All Might at Takoba Municipal beach just down the road. It was there where she found herself sitting on top of a rather large fridge beside the big man himself, one leg folded over the other as she glanced down to her boyfriend who was currently trying to pull the fridge they were sitting on across the beach with a rope.
It wasn't going well…
"Why is he doing this again? He can't pull this…" She muttered lowly in question, shooting a glance up at the mountain of a man squatting beside her.
All Might had demanded that before he offered his quirk that Izuku needed to get the entire beach, which had been used as an illegal dumping ground for years now, entirely clean before the entrance exams for Yuuei.
Exams that were in ten full months.
Ten very short months…
It had been a strange request for sure, because if she was allowed to help then this beach would be clean in a couple weeks top. However, that was exactly why she wasn't allowed to help him. In fact he'd asked her hinder his progress to make the task even more difficult.
He'd yet to explain why, but she had a feeling her recent questioning was finally going to get him to spill the beans so to speak.
"Hahaha! It is precisely because he cannot do this that I am having him clean this beach!" The man laughed, shaking his finger down at the boy who'd been unable to move them more than a few inches.
"I don't follow…" She murmured, arms crossed underneath her bust.
He offered her a grin, holding up one finger. "Think of it this way. My power has been cultivated over many generations now, growing with strength every year that passes. Now think of my body as a vessel for that power, like a massive cup that's meant to hold everything in."
She kicked her legs absentmindedly. "Mmhmm." She nodded for him to continue.
"Now take all that power and pressure and try to shove it into a smaller glass, or per se a vessel unfit to wield my power. That body won't be able to contain it, and it will explode." He hummed sagely, glancing down to the crying boy on the ground.
"W-Wait what?!" Izuku bemoaned in shock. "I-I thought you said that I was going to become your successor?!" He whined, holding up his hands to hide his face when the big man whipped out his phone to begin taking pictures of him.
"I did!" All Might exclaimed, holding his hands on his hips. "However! You are weak and pathetic as you are now. If you were to inherit it now, your limbs would explode off your body." He toned down the exuberance, speaking lowly to him. "Suffice it to say, your body is simply not ready to take my power. You need to become strong, far stronger than you are now before your body can even attempt to handle it."
He then motioned to the hedgehog girl sitting casually atop the fridge. "Look at her legs and her muscles, her abs and her arms. As she is now, she could accept my quirk without any fuss. You need to be like her before you can take my power." He nodded to himself, ignorant to the girl's indignant squeak at being talked about so openly.
Her face practically caught fire when Izuku looked her way with awe filled eyes, like she was some sort of goddess.
Idiot…
Stop making her stomach do flips. She was never going to stop blushing at this point.
He cleared his throat, spreading his arms out wide to motion to the entirety of the beach front. "Look at this place. It used to be beautiful, but it hasn't been treated well over the years. I've been wanting to see it cleaned once more, but I've simply not the time." Then he held up a finger. "However, this dump will serve as the perfect training grounds for you to become a worthy candidate for my quirk." He clenched his fist, flexing his awesome power.
Izuku guffawed in awe, looking at the man in a new light. "That's why I told you to clean this beach. If you can accomplish this task before the entrance exams for Yuuei, you will have proven yourself ready and willing to take on the world before you!"
Then he smiled, motioning to the girl atop the fridge. "Plus, you won't be alone. You've got your girlfriend here to keep you company and cheer you on while you struggle like the weakling that you are! Ahahahahaha!" He bellowed out in an echoing laugh, finding glee in the ways their faces erupted into embarrassed blushes.
"Now then, I must be off!" He exclaimed, leaping away to his truck. He powered down, shambling into the old vehicle as he left them alone in the early morning hours.
Izuku watched him leave with a nervous expression, silence falling over the ocean front. He found himself glancing back up to Shadow, the girl smirking down at him. "Well? What are you waiting for? You wanted to become a hero, right? Then chop chop! Get to it!" She clapped her hands, motioning to the trash around the beach.
He looked like he was going to cry.
Nerd…
She blushed…
Cute nerd.
"Y-You say it like it's easy!" He whined.
She rolled her eyes. "Well yeah, it's easy for me. That's because I'm actually in shape, dork." She hopped down from the fridge, walking up to him. She crossed her arms underneath her bust, glancing down at him with an eyebrow raised. "If it was easy then anyone could be a hero. You've got to work for what you want."
She squatted down on thick powerful thighs that more than grabbed his attention, cheeks turning red. "Do you think I got this body by slacking off all day and daydreaming all the time?" She asked seriously with an eyebrow raised in question. "I worked hard for this so that I could become a hero for y-" She went on, eyes widening slightly as she caught herself. "-So I could become a hero." She clarified.
His eyes widened. "If you had been working out like that bastard next door then maybe All Might would've just given you his quirk already." She smirked, patting her thick muscly thighs. "After all, he said that I'm in the best shape to take it." She teased, watching his face blush hot red.
She stood up, hands on her hips as she gazed around the beach. "There's not much time before the entrance exam for Yuuei, so you should get started now."
He scrambled to his feet, looking at her in a new light. He hadn't really appreciated her for her body before, always too shy to really look at her. And as she lost herself gazing off at the ocean, he took that moment to do just that.
She really was beautiful. Her long black and red hair that always flared upwards, her straining six-pack that was completely detailed through her skintight undershirt drawing his attention. Her hips were wide, her short cut black shorts resting relatively low on them. And her legs…?
They could give the Rabbit Hero Mirko a run for her money.
"Eyes up here, lover boy." She winked, having caught his wandering gaze. He had the decency to blush in embarrassment.
"S-S-Sorry!" He squeaked, but his face only heated further when she smirked.
"Don't apologize, idiot." She murmured, cheeks warm. "You're my boyfriend now, y-you should be looking at me." She muttered confidently, turning away to definitely not hide her blushing cheeks.
No she didn't stutter.
He was just imagining things, yeah that's it.
He cleared his throat, moving to begin the tedious task of cleaning the entire beach. There was so much, dotting every single part of the beach that he wasn't even sure where to start! More than that, so much of the trash looked too heavy to even attempt to move!
He sighed.
Shadow was right. If he'd been working out like he'd been wanting to become a hero then maybe All Might wouldn't be making him do this right now. She was everything he wanted to be, her strength, her speed, her confidence and courage, and her attitude. She was everything he wasn't, everything he'd never been…
He had to wonder why she'd even decided to fall in love with him, when she was so much better.
But then he remembered what she said to him yesterday, why she'd decided that he was worth it, why he was worthy of her attention and affection. She'd said a lot that day, but what really stood out to him was what she said about his determination.
"Despite everyone trying to beat you down you still stand your ground in one way or another, no matter what that p-punk tries to do to stop you. Watching you never give up on what makes you happy makes me want to do better, makes me want to be better for you."
Despite how much he looked up to her for being everything he'd always wanted to be, she said that she'd looked up to him for her own reasons as well.
That touched his heart…
And here and now, beginning his journey to become a hero worthy of becoming All Might's successor, he found that the task ahead didn't seem as insurmountable as it should've…
Because he had her by his side.
The hedgehog squeaked when she felt him wrap his arms around her from behind, pulling her into a hug, his head pressed against her shoulder. Her cheeks warmed at the sudden contact, but whatever she was going to say was silenced when he spoke next.
"I love you, Shadow." He murmured genuinely into her shoulder, eyes closed as he basked in her embrace. There was no stutter, no shame, no embarrassment. He meant every word of what he said, and it touched her heart.
She gently reached up to grasp his hands with her own, a little smile gracing her lips. "I love you too, y-you idiot…" She murmured, cheeks hot in the cool early morning air.
He smiled against her shoulder, having picked up on her knack of calling him names to hide her embarrassment whenever he made her happy. He had a feeling the same thing was shared for Kacchan as well, but he would just curse you out instead.
He liked Shadow's embarrassed traits far more.
"Come on, let's get started." She cleared her throat, pulling away as she motioned towards the nearest bundle of trash. He immediately missed the warmth of her against him, but didn't complain as he did as was told.
Turning his attention to the garbage at hand, he blew out a sigh as he reached out to grab it. But before his fingers could grace the rim of the destroyed tire, he paused, a strange tingling sensation shooting up his spine.
He felt his eyes narrow as he focused on his outstretched fingertips, realizing that it was where the feeling was originating from. He closed his fist, pulling his hand back to his side. The strange sensation immediately faded away like nothing had ever happened, leaving him perplexed.
''What was that…?'' He thought to himself, glancing down at his open palm. It felt familiar, like he'd seen it before. He wasn't even sure what had caused it, but it had happened the moment he'd decided to reach out and grab the tire.
However, the moment he thought that again his hand began to glow a light green. His eyes widened in shock, realizing that he hadn't been imagining things. His throat suddenly felt dry, eyes wide as he turned his attention towards the pile of tires from before.
Hand still glowing green, he reached out to face his palm towards the piles of rubber. Then he gently closed his fingers as if grabbing them from afar. The moment he did so he felt a weight settling into his body, as if he was attempting to lift the tires without touching them. A green aura surrounded the pile and him, dim enough to not be blinding but bright enough to be seen in the dark morning sunrise.
Then he raised his hand upwards. It was difficult to do so, but the tires suddenly found themselves lifted into the air.
His mouth fell open in shock. "Shadow! Shadow!!!" He fretted nervously, calling her over to him with a bundle of newfound emotions.
"What happened?! Did you hurt yourself, did you trip?" The girl was by his side in the blink of an eye, looking him over like an overprotective mother. She trailed off when she found her eyes drawn to his outstretched hand, the green aura and the tires he was lifting with his mind.
…
…
…
Her eyes slowly widened in surprise, looking back over to the teenager to find his eyes sparkling in glee. "Shadow! I-I-I have a quirk!" He sputtered out in glee, beads of sweat pouring down his forehead. "This is so amazing! I-I-I-!" He began to devolve into his typically expected tirade of muttering before he suddenly began to collapse, the tires falling back to the ground as his legs suddenly gave out from underneath him.
"Woah!" She caught him before he could fall, holding him much the same as she'd done when she'd swept him off his feet to escape the slime villain. "Izuku! Are you okay?!" She fretted in worry, features worried as she glanced down to the suddenly exhausted boy in her arms.
He giggled up at her, offering her a tired smile that reached his eyes. "Heh… I-I'm ok." He breathed, clearly worn out. "I just got light headed for a moment, that's all." He explained quietly, struggling to catch his breath.
She wasn't sure that was it. He was fine until he began to swing those tires around in the air with his quirk. She was still reeling at the fact that he had a quirk in the first place. Had it just come out of nowhere…?
Or…?
Wait a minute. No, no that exactly explained what she saw yesterday at the fight. It had happened so fast that she hadn't paid too much attention to it at the time, more important things to worry about. But now that she was seeing it again, she couldn't deny that it was exactly what she saw happen.
"Izuku…" She muttered down to the suddenly tired boy. "I think you got a quirk like your mom's." She smiled.
He laughed out a tried sound. "Mom can only… lift up small… things…" He breathed out. "Like a doll or a… toy."
He was right. Inko was only able to lift small objects like a stuffed animal or other similar objects, animating them in the air. She'd never been able to accomplish anything more than that.
She wished she knew why Izuku nearly fainted after using it for the first time, but she was not one to help others learn how to use their powers. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately in her case, she had always known how to use her abilities almost intrinsically. She couldn't explain how she did what she did, but she knew how to do it subconsciously. She wouldn't be the best teacher to help him learn to control his powers, especially with the fact that they'd just appeared.
She couldn't explain it very articulately, but when he'd asked one time how she did what she did, her explanation was something along the lines of. "I don't really know. It feels if it it's programmed into me, I guess. It's not something I think about how to turn on and off, it just does…" She'd felt so lame putting it like that, especially with how in depth he could and would go into even the most benign quirks out there. But that's just how it felt to her.
"You feel better now?" She asked worriedly, expression softening down at him.
He smiled up at her, taking that moment to steal a kiss, leaving her surprised. "Yep! All better." He grinned cheekily, moving to stand back up.
Ignorant to her red face, he held a hand up to his chin in deep thought. "As much as I know about quirks and how people use them I've never actually felt it for myself, felt what quirks activating feel like when using them. I've spent a lot of time guessing and thinking about them and how they would feel but more then that how the body would react to something unnatural to it. Kacchan once explained it to me that he has to think of blowing something up to make his hands explode and that his quirk works better if he sweats more but he loses power if he becomes dehydrated so that's why he drinks water frequently because he's always trying to keep his body stocked up on water and his quirk used as much as possible to increase his strength and stamina because he wants to become a hero too and he can't do that if he doesn't train his quirk so he's always trainingtobecomestrongersothathewillmakeitintoYuuei-"
"Izuku…?" Shadow muttered lowly, arms crossed underneath her bust. He practically snapped to attention at her words.
"Y-Yeah?" He muttered nervously, scratching the back of his head as she leveled a teasing smirk at him.
"You were mumbling again." She teased, reaching over to ruffle his wild green locks. "Not that I mind." She muttered to herself, cheeks warm. "Now come on, let's give your quirk a try again. Just, take it easy?" She asked, motioning to the tires again.
The sudden look of determination on his face made her heart flutter and the butterflies in her belly tingle happily. He nodded to her, throwing his hand out again. The green aura returned, his green locks beginning to shift to a strange silvery white color as the green light surrounded the tires.
His hair slowly bled off all green, leaving only the shining white in its place. As it changed it began to curl upwards almost like her own. His eyes turned golden, no ounce of the green she'd come to know remaining.
Then he began to lift them up.
"Gently!" She chided from beside him, watching him like a hawk in the chance that he collapsed again.
He bit his lips, nodding shakily. "R-Right!" He exclaimed, hand shaking as he held the heavy tires aloft. He tried to keep his shaking under control, but his breathing was not in tune. Slowly he began to turn towards where All Might had told him to move the trash, a space up towards the abandoned parking lot.
One foot in front of the other, step by step, four tires held in the air above him. It felt as if he was carrying them with his own body, arms shaking, legs quivering underneath the weight.
"Come on! You got this!" Shadow cheered him on from beside him, eyes widening in awe as she watched him go. "That's it, that's it!" She encouraged giddily.
He smiled a shaky look, feeling as if he could do anything with her cheering him on. Twenty more steps, the parking lot grew near.
"You're almost there! You're so close!" She bit her lips, watching him near his goal.
Then he collapsed, tires crashing into the sand with a resounding crash. She was by his side instantly, catching him before he hit the ground.
The young man slowly opened his eyes, finding himself laying in the sand gazing up at her proud face. She smiled brightly down at him, watching curiously as his silver white hair faded away, the green returning once again. However, his golden eyes seemed to stay, at least for the time being.
"D-Did I do it…?" He breathed lowly, completely breathless.
She glanced up to the tires that had crashed beside the parking lot. She smirked.
Close enough, she decided.
"Yeah, you did it." She smiled down at him.
He grinned, eyes fluttering closed. "Cool…" He murmured, before he passed out.
Her eyes widened in worry for a moment, before his gentle breathing reached her ears. She rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "What am I going to do with you…" She sighed softly, smiling to herself as she plucked him up off the ground.
The sun had begun to rise on their Saturday morning, and he was already completely wiped. It was going to be along ten months.
But…
She was happy to share them with him.
"I think it's break time…" She muttered herself, running off towards his house at relative speeds.
She didn't seem to notice the presence of the eyes watching her from the shadows, too occupied with taking care of the meek little psychic in her arms.
"They're adorable together. They remind me of us when we were younger... Ah, teenage love…" A deep womanly voice hummed lowly, her cerulean eyes glinting in the early morning light. Tall pointed ears fluttered in the wind, the short white fur that covered them blending down into her long silky white locks.
She crossed her arms over the pink heart shaped low cut outfit that cupped her chest, casting a playful look towards the man beside her as a pair long slender bat-like wings flapped behind her.
"Hmph, that kid needs to work harder if he's going to be worth her time. I still don't understand why she sticks with him…" A gruff voice grumbled sternly, pale green eyes regarding the boy in Shadow's arms with less than bright sentiment. His long red locks seemed unaffected by the wind, but he did take the time to readjust the spiked white gloves he wore.
"They've been friends since she was a child, Knuckles. You know better than I do that there's no one who can break them up." She cooed teasingly, sliding up to him. "Now I suggest you clean up that attitude before she sticks to calling you that grumpy uncle she doesn't like to hang around with." She kissed him quickly, pulling his attention back to her.
His rough expression softened at her touch, hands falling to his side. "Rouge…" He murmured deeply.
Her ears straightened a little at his tone, a tingle of excitement shooting through the bat. "I love it when you say my name." She whispered as she leaned in to steal another kiss. "Now come, Eggman wishes to be updated." She stated, leaping into the sky with a flap of her wings.
He rolled his eyes. "You know he doesn't like to be called that." He corrected as he leapt off after her, gliding on the winds.
"Oh you boys, can't ever handle a little teasing. Whatever will I do with you?" She teased.
