Hey, folks. No new chapters, unfortunately, but I do have a brief update.
Life's thrown my family another curveball. Those of y'all following my main works-in-progress (A New Lease on Life, A Match Made in Metal, and Shifting the Paradigm) will be unfortunately used to this. If you're new or reading "Plugging the Sky-Hole" Rubbish, I hate to break it to you, but this happens with frustrating frequency. The fanfiction writer's curse and whatnot; life gets in the way of creating worlds with our words. In this case, life's getting in the way (again) and I don't have enough time, brainpower, or "spoons" to write very often. It's not permanent, it won't last forever, and anytime I decide to put a story aside long-term, I put an indefinite hiatus notation.
No one's dying or dead this time around, so at least there's that for bright sides, right? Either way, I'm preemptively putting my active stories (on all sites) on a soft-hiatus. What's that mean? It means I'm going to keep trying to write, but it's liable to be quite some time between updates. I'm sorry for that, but otherwise, I'll drive myself into the ground. As for this story, I honestly don't know where I'm going with it right now, so an update will be unlikely anytime soon.
I'm going to keep trying to write – heck knows I've spent enough hours staring at the same paragraphs on the newest chapters of ANLoL, StP, and my in-progress novel and metaphorically banging my head against my desk – but I'm making no promises. In the meantime, I'm (kinda) active on Reddit, and even though it tends to be delayed, I do respond to all comments, reviews, etc.
